I have to say I was disappointed when I found out the breakfast menu here is basically the same stuff you get at McDonald's, but after giving it a try the little differences make it worth it. The cajun hash browns are delicious and the sauce you can get on the rolls adds a nice touch, even if it is quite a strong flavour that overpowers most of the rest of the sandwich. Liked the biscuits too.

Chicken tasted weird. left me and my lass with bad guts ! went to the toilet to get sorted and the male toilets were disgusting.

Fantastic service and food was great. In particular Chloe was great. Thank you. We will certainly be coming back. I went with my 3 heard old daughter and 5 year old son.

Dreadful, nothing else to say really. Fries cold burger came with pickle's despite asking for them to help left off. Tasted burnt.

Ok, first of all this review is for the chains new outlet in West Auckland, which doesn't seem to be listed yet, as it has only recently opened. But the comments are still valid. This was our first visit and we had assumed it was an upmarket chicken diner, sadly we were very disappointed. It was also expensive for what we ordered, £24.00 for 2 burger meals, 4 small chicken pieces. The food arrived quickly but wasn't piping hot and the fries had lots of black eyes we needed to remove. The ranch sauce was very sweet and added nothing to the chicken. The brioche buns were chilled which detracted from the overall experience. It's a new, bright, clean restaurant, but given its size, we were surprised it's been built with only one toilet! There was a constant que during our lunchtime visit! So how does it compare with Macky D's and KFC? Not well, not well at all. We guess people will try it because it's a new offering in West Auckland, but probably, like us, will only visit once.

We were on our way to McDonalds and noticed popeyes for the first time. I've heard good things of the brand so we decided to try here instead. The price for a breakfast meal was unbelievably cheap. Not sure how long the restaurants been there so it might be an opening offer. I had a bacon sandwich with cajan sauce, a hash brown and a cappucino. All were good but the hash brown was delicious. My partner had a bacon sandwich with ketchup, a cajan hash brown and a latte. The price for the whole lot was £3.99!!!. Fantastic value. I liked the ambience and music. Will definitely return

Unfortunately the experience was poor.The flavour of the chicken simply tastes like old grease.For the crazy price i tried to force myself to finish it but it wasn't possible.The second my friend opened the bag the strong smell instantly filled the air leaving me to gag and run to the bathroom.When i got home an hour later i still felt sick and had to stay in the bathroom for a while....No one on the table could bring themselves to finish it.I had high hopes but now I know to never come back.At least the staff were nice.wish I could give no stars for the sickness I felt.

Chicken was disgusting. Couldn't finish a single piece, honestly worst food I have had in a long time. Don't waste your money here.

First and last visit. Im one of these people who will literally eat anything. The cajun fries were decent but the chicken was vile. Or rather the coating was, it just tasted of old burnt oil/grease. Cant believe people regularly eat there. First time Ive ever left a meal.. it was that bad.

The worst food I have ever eaten, it made my mother sick for 3 days. I would rather eat my own vomit than eat this again, ew!!

First time at kids suggestion. Ordered via console for table service, service was slow but not terrible. Food however, worst fast food I've had to date. The chicken is cooked in an over thick batter that tastes like burnt old pan. The fries were not particularly nice and only half of us ate them. Even the buns were unusual, more malty than bready. Won't be back to see if this was a one off

I hate having to give a bad review but it is definitely needed. Toilets were disgusting… I won’t go into detail. Batter too thick, tasted like it had been fried in old oil. My 10 year old who loves fast food couldn’t eat it. A staff member was stuffing the rubbish bins down to make room for more rubbish instead of just emptying them. I won’t return

It was a very bad experience. The staff is very rude they kept looking at us like we took all the food for free. They closed the sitting area with the pole belts and it was very cramped it looked like a prison. The staff kept circling around us and kept looking at us as if you are stealing. Also when I scanned my receipt I got a free milkshake they told me the milkshake machine was broken. My daughter won a free chicken sandwich and when she went to tell them they told her the buns ran out. Then, 2 minutes later they served someone else 2 chicken sandwiches. Why are they telling people to scan things to win free food when they don’t give customers what they won. It’s just lying and scamming. It was a very very bad experience and I am never going again.

If I could give 0 stars I would! This experience was like if a saw trap was a meal tbh. First of all the chicken was anaemic and so greasy the batter was sliding off it, decided to give it a try anyway and it was full of veins. My friend ordered a burger and after a few bites had to rush to the toilet to throw up and hasn’t stopped since, another one of my friends has also come down ill since this afternoon. The toilets were absolutely filthy with poo literally on the floor and walls - I honestly wish I saw this first before ordering because I would’ve just left. Overall filthy restaurant and greasy food which has left all 3 of us unwell. Just save your money and go to the Greggs across from it

I visited this restaurant for the first time, not too disappointing I will say but not the best, just an average 'American' restaurant. Majority of staff were friendly but one staff member in particular was rude and blunt. I'm not sure of the name but the young man was blonde and not very tall. Very rude and inconsiderate. Popeyes, hire friendlier staff if you want customers to come back. Thankyou

First time going here so was looking forward to trying it. I had the bean burger which wasn’t to bad but so messy to eat. The bun was very soggy don’t know why possibly from the mayo, it went in the bin! My partner had the chicken burger which was very greasy so that was left and went in the bin! The chips were ok and the pop was fine. Will definitely never be going back total waste of money!

Just another YouTube American hype. The chicken was tasteless and the fries far too salty. Not worth a trip at all save your money and just go to KFC!!

Another American import, another disappointment. Pretty much what KFC used to be but with a Cajun twist. Long wait times and need more cleaning staff as the seating area was a mess. The American biscuits are tiny too. More importantly I have since found out they are halal! This cruel practice has no place in this day and age.

The worst chicken we have ever had 0/10 from all 4 of us, we ate what we could then went elsewhere a couple of hours later. Too much flour, no taste and not enough chicken and what there was was poor quality. We will never go again.

Yoooooo this chicken is popping bruv. Ordered the popeye mcsplatty special and dayum it sent me to space. I absolutely smashed it clean off my face, had mayo all over my chin and bread hanging off my eyebrow. The chicken mcfillet could be larger as they wouldnt even fill my man boobs out. Ice cream was wicked and even managed to get my tongue in the bottom of cup so i could have a good old lick lick lick licky. Pua unreal naughty stuff bruv.

When you say chicken, I say plopeyes! There is no better chicken than plopeyes in my experience, and I’ve ate proper loads of chicken in the last 2 months, my doctor is raging ha ha, no veggies for this beefy neck! My favourite dish was the one with the chicken.

Not sure about the negative reviews....popeyes chicken is amazing!! Don't bother with kfc (used to be a huge fan) as the chicken is juicy and the batter is so cruchy. Also the biscuits are a nice touch (dipping the in the honey is mouthwatering). This is our 3rd visit now and the food has been consistent each time, Staff are friendy and always smiling. Ordering via the app and having your food delivered to the table is extremely helpful, especially being in a wheelchair. So to sum it all up...Popeyes in on another level when it comes to the quality of food, service and cleanliness. The only thing that lets this place down is that they don't off family share buckets. Highly recommend this place as you won't be disappointed.

Cajun fries are a must ,the ranch dip is also lovely . To me you get enough to go between two if you get the large, we struggled to finish it , should be more of these places . It is much better than KFC

Pros: the coating on the chicken is quite good, really crispy and nice. I also approve of the BBQ sauce and the option of drinks available. Cons: our fries arrived practically cold, so couldn’t really rate them. The Mardi Gras sauce legit tastes like paint stripper. The gravy is watery and lacks any real flavour.

If you want to pay 50%+ more than KFC and wait 20-30 minutes for a generic chicken sandwich and flat coke, by all means, go to Popeyes

We love it here. My little girl is obsessed with their honey biscuits. The chicken isn't greasy. The batter is super light and crispy. It's also not southern fried and full of pepper like other places which means my little girl can enjoy it. We also love the mash and gravy. The only negative I have is their mac and cheese. The price is very high for the tiny portion you get. Standard kids meal is around £4, with refillable drink. Not much more than a McDonald's but better quality. Highly recommend.

First time tried Popeyes. Their chicken burgers were amazing. Full of flavour, crispy and generally garnished. Quite distinct from the deconstructed sandwiches you often get served at KFc and McDonalds. Somewhat slightly disappointed with the signature Louisiana chicken pieces as expected them to taste the same but slightly lacking flavour. Portions are decent. Customer service was ace. We were well attended and assisted with our little toddler. Table service was speedy. Would definitely come back again
