Popeyes in East Renfrewshire

Tried for the first time yesterday and it will be the last time. Waited 53 minutes for food to arrive and it was cold and very greasy when it came. Not a single bit of veg in site (not even a bit of lettuce on the burger). Kids were bored, tired and very hungry by time food arrived, seems they serve drive throughs first! Worst meal ever!!!

Currently sitting waiting on our order 35 mins in , still no food - lots of employees milling around doing what looks like absolutely nothing - still taking drive through orders - what a joke - staff are a shambles nobody has a clue - the food better be good but I have my doubts

Before eating here have a look at the lane behind shop never seen so many rats running about in my life so how many of them must get inside shop 🤮

Food was amazing so tasty and clean restaurant. Server Justin was just amazing, great work ethic and very kind and friendly kept place super clean!

£42 for three meals that ended up in the bin. Chips freezing cold and chicken wings that should have been served with a hammer and chisel to get through the "breadcrumbs". Avoid at all cost and just stick with KFC.

First visit bit overpriced compared to KFC cost £12 for meal. Despite this place only being open for a few months I was served with rotten black mouldy lettuce in my burger. I complained and was offered a partial refund on my meal. When I debated only getting a partial refund I was basically told like it or lump it.

The food itself was nothing special, nice, but not outstanding. However, restaurant itself was clean and enjoyable to dine in. Server Justin was amazing! So kind, smiley and on the ball - he really made the experience!!!

This was dreadful went with the family of four total price was £57 the food was horrendous the chicken was so greasy and tasteless as for the fries they where the same and the milkshakes where no better than plain old milk as for the size of the pieces of chicken they where tiny this place is a absolute rip off big time avoid at all cost

Chicken is good, although small in size compared to the American version, fries are bland, however, there is very limited seats for disabled people. Low down stools nailed to the floor is not a good idea. Ordered extra sauce, didn't get it asked for help 3 times and was ignored 3 times. Staff would need to go on a customer service course. No napkins or straws. Ice machine only works if you hit it. Don't think I'll be back

Nice food. Good and fast service. Waiter by the name of Justin deserves a big shout out. So pleasant and looks as if he really loves his job. Management should recognise this and reward his dedication.

Gran servicio , personal muy contento y amable , muy servicial a la hora de comming en para el almuerzo. Qué gran lugar. Vendría de nuevo.

Esperé 25 minutos por mi pedido, solo lo conseguí porque una chica amable detrás de la caja me lo consiguió cuando le expliqué que perdería mi tren. La cocina se había quedado sin pollo, así que comenzaron a apilar las cajas una encima de la otra. Cuando el pollo estuvo listo comenzaron entonces a hacer los pedidos encima del paquete , por lo que las personas que acababan de estar esperando 5 minutos comenzaron a recibir sus pedidos primero. Había gente esperando más de lo que yo había estado. Muchos pedidos habían sido borrados de la pantalla de recolección, presumo que mantendrán bajos sus tiempos de espera oficiales. Durante todo el tiempo, la joven que era la gerente había estado riendo y bromeando mientras charlaba con todos en la cocina, estaba bebiendo de una lata de jugo que seguía colocando en los mostradores. Ni siquiera tenía el pelo bien atado. Otro miembro del personal de la cocina estaba enviando mensajes de texto a su teléfono, que tenía en su delantal, y se estaba limpiando la nariz en la manga de la camiseta. Los únicos miembros del personal que trabajaban eran las mesas de compensación. Compré un batido pero me informaron que se habían enviado las tapas equivocadas así que no había espacio para poner la pajita. Había pedido mi hamburguesa de pollo sin queso ni tomate, a pesar de tener una pegatina en ella que decía que sí tenía queso y tomate en ella. 28 fue mucho pagar por una experiencia así. Después de leer otras reseñas, veo que mi experiencia no fue única.

¡Primera vez aquí! Tan pronto como entramos por la puerta nos recibieron con una cálida bienvenida y sonrisa por una de las chicas. Justin nos dirigió entonces hacia una mesa. La comida era genial, así que llena. Sin duda recomendaría una comida de caja y batido. Todo el personal parecía muy amable y sonriente, incluso el personal de la cocina. Gracias por un gran almuerzo!

La comida era bastante promedio, pero es lo que esperaba de una cadena alimentaria mínima. El servicio de Justin fue 10 / 10 siempre servicial y siempre sonriente

i absolutely love popeyes because compared to everywhere else the chicken has a fantastic flavour due to the marination process making it so juicy and tender i got the spicy chicken sandwich which contains the chicken , spicy mayo and pickles i got it as a meal with cajun fries and a diet coke which was absolutely sensational as always and i am a monthly costumer and often visit and their staff is extraordinary and met my requirements also the staff member who was on the floor had fantastic customer service skills and had a big smile keep up the incredible work and cant wait to visit next month loyal customer

First time in just got a saver meal to try was ok average chips look warm chicken ok I'll just buy southern fried chicken from supermarket and air fry as nicer

I have been in this takeaway three times and on each occasion the order has been messed up. The third visit was really bad. Several items were missing and my daughter was given the wrong item . When it finally arrived after twenty minutes it was wrong again so she had go back and get it changed. Not a good advert for a new place

Visited the Barrhead branch food was delightful soft fresh and tastier than any other chicken joint will be back staff were nice place was clean plenty of parking shakes delicious also

I can feel interested my job waiter help the people feel relax on sit in lobby 👍🏽 Popeyes can waiter/waitress jobs 👍🏽👍🏽 I say think kfc and mcdonald's can't help waiter. I love best popeyes. I am proud heart of sauchiehall Street ♥ good service in popeyes. I will my job long term permanent in future 👍🏽

Went in on Sunday for early for breakfast restaurant was quiet the table next too had spilled coffee & dirty tray laying it stayed till a member of public put tray in bin coffee stayed spilled on table we were there for 30 mins our food was served it took over 10 mins for 2 bacon rolls our order was wrong asked for bottles of soft juice given cups for pop when asked to change it staff didn't understand no napkins were given again had to ask the guy who served us had no idea how much change to give (simple maths) the manager had to advise him how much to give hash brown dripping in grease & a couple of flys were buzzing around would of left but order had been placed I would not recommend this place sadly should of taken pics but i was unable to (camera on phone not working)

So is it worth the hype? Is it better than the Colonel? It’s a big fat yes from me. I got the chance to check out Popeyes in Spain last year and was blown an away with how tasty and fresh it was. To be honest, everything usually tastes better abroad, so my expectations were fairly low for my visit to the Glasgow branch. Turns out I was completely wrong with my assumption, and Popeyes in Glasgow was just as damn good! Loved the amount of menu options, and to be honest, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the chicken options. It’s just so much better than any other fast food chicken places in this country. Also, the dips were spectacular! That Mango and Habanero dip was a clear winner for me. The spicy fries were also worth upgrading to, but were better with a creamier dip - Ranch was a good match! I’d also HIGHLY recommend the warm biscuit! Which is basically a crispier, fluffier scone. But my god, it was heavenly with that honey pot to dip into. On the downside, the mac n cheese was a bit of a let down and the milkshake, although decent, didn’t quite make it to Five Guys levels of taste and consistency. Price wise, depending if you have sides etc, you’re looking at about 9-12 per person. We were about 35 for 3 of us, but couldn’t finish it all.

It did look super busy when we arrived but don’t be fooled it goes in so quick! I think we waited about 25/30 mins all in for our food which was absolutely fine We ordered a huge scran here as what’s the point travelling so far to not try almost everything on the menu? 🫡 I had the deluxe chicken sandwich meal w Cajun fries & a side of the crispy tenders with a garlic mayo & the mango habenero dip which I’ve heard people raving about. The burger itself was really delicious! The chicken here is soooo crispy - the crispiest chicken I’ve ever had possibly. The pickles on the burger were yummy but not as good as McDonald’s gherkins I’m afraid (they’re unbeatable!!!). The chicken strips I can say the same for they were soo crispy and juicy- but the star of the show for suuure is the mango habenero dip- it was SO good. I absolutely love mango chutney so just know I would love this- defo recommend!!! fiance ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of wings & the signature Louisiana chicken. He loved his also- i did give the Louisiana chicken a try but I just am not a fan of chicken on the bone at all!! Overall I really did enjoy my meal and do recommend it however don’t know if I would go out my way to come back again- but it was a nice little change and I would defo return if I lived a bit closer!!

Really enjoyed the chicken it’s really crispy and tasted fresh. Love this biscuits as well almost like a salty savoury scone could have eaten loads of them. Staff were friendly and place really clean will definitely go back .

so bad, trekked from falkirk for the chicken to taste like cardboard microwaved macaroni , waste of money. so dissapointing☺️ DONT GO HERE

Just average. The bun was bland and the chicken greasy and very salty. Chips were very poor and the portion size for the cost very poor. Milk shake ok. Will not be rushing back and if did turn up and the queue was for than 5 minutes it would be goodbye. If this is the next great revolution from the USA don’t bother.

So disapointed in the service from staff at Popeyes last night. Swearing at customers and no apology for shutting drive thru after queing for over an hr. 2 Boys and 1 girl at 1st widnow last night around 8pm were so rude and obnoxious. Girls at second window were so lovely and apologetic and took our complaint about the other staff (which they mentioned had complaints about already). The car inf ront of us was the last to order in drive thru so we were the first rejected car. However we still had to sit in queue since they were waiting on food( which is fine) but the 1st window boys ended up letting the car behind us order despite them syaing no drive thru orders anymore which was unbelivably rude. Completely understand that its busy and stressful but having rude employees who arent being apologetic is too far. We ended up getting inside to order in which the order came wrong and our chicken was cold. Was so excited to try out Popeyes but will not be returing or recommending to anyone in near future.

The staff were rude, unapologetic, and completely out of their depth in regards to handling a ‘busy’ establishment, as well as customer complaints. Our experience was nothing short of traumatic. After waiting over an hour, being told the drive thru had now closed due to ‘staff shortages’ and upon requesting a manager, we were informed the manager could not discuss the matter due to crying several times previous. The food was ok. It wasn’t very tasty. It was cold. I wouldn’t go back. Go to KFC.
