Popas bar in East Lindsey

Good food cooked fresh.....a bit pricey but u get what u pay for .......and it's nice to b able to take the dog in .

We've been going to popa's for a while now and I must say we've never had a bad meal yet, we went for carvery for the first time last week and I can't wait to go again tomorrow, the service and food is excellent, Phil and his bar staff are so friendly they always come and ask you if everything's OK with your food. They have karaoke on a Friday night and entertainment on Saturday night with a fabulous atmosphere, everyones so welcoming, if you haven't been yet go and treat yourself

Had Sunday lunch today absolutely brilliant we had many meals and everything was excellent the staff are really good .the entertainment is brilliant love the karaoke 🎤. If you are looking for a good time then popas is the place to visit

Just had 2 Sunday lunches to take out and I have to say that it was the best carvery that we have ever had, melt in the mouth meats and every thing else cooked to perfection. Very friendly and welcoming staff it's the first time we have been to popas bar and it certainly won't be the last also dog friendly so we will be eating in next time.

Had the best meal of all our time in Skegness here, steak was delicious burgers are brilliant, cocktails were beautiful as well!

Great food traditional home cooked food (and the real ale was good as well) we were a party of 4 and each had a different meal and everyone was excellent. Highly recommended.

Good service and friendly staff and very good food

Monday steak night great good value enjoyed it. Lots of dogs which I don’t mind but not on seats marked down for that. The staff are very pleasant and helpful overall a good experience.

Had a drink and a meal here today. The staff were very polite and friendly. Service was quick and professional. We had the Fish (huge) and Chips and the Scampi. Both meals were well cooked and presented and tasted delicious This capped off a lovely sunny afternoon visit to our favourite beach at Anderby.

Excellent food it is a shame they have made the place smaller by blocking off the area with the comfy seats. Quite small now and not enough seating area.

I wanted a tea while the other half had a pint. Can't get a tea. I would have a pint but I'm driving. Funny thing is I could get a tea when I came here last year. Was going to eat here but they lost that order and I won't be coming here again

Very popular with great food, the fish is massive with chips and plenty of options on the menu, the desserts looked nice too and we’ll be back for one of those

Great food in this little restaurant - the women working on Tuesday night worked their socks off and were brilliant with an unexpected rush of diners ! Well done!

Brilliant, had a lovely carvery on the Sunday lunch and Monday tea had probably the best fish and chips I have ever had in a pub. Fish was massive and tasty, triple cooked chips yummy. Staff great Would highly recommend

A nice bar in a quiet environment, good menu, interesting promotions

Just called for a couple of drinks. Dog friendly. Outside terrace just off the street. We didn't eat there as unfortunately the night we wanted to, it was closed for new ovens or something. In-laws ate there on a couple of occasions and they said it was really nice.

Came today to visit my parents who were on Holiday here and we celebrated my mum's 80th Birthday. I wish I could give you guys more stars for the reviews. The food was absolutely amazing, staff were awesome and cannot wait to return in the future 😍

So today there was five us who came to eat my mum lives just in chapel my family staying in Anderby the meal was fantastic the fish was the best ive ever tasted from anywhere seaside or not what a little gem of a place and best of all the chef is only 18yrs old so big shout out to you and high five thanks for the best meal ever see you.s again soon tomorrow if i could kind Regards jenny and Family ( the Scottish ones ) x

Tried Popas bar and Diner adjacent to the site we are on for a short break. Has to be said the youngster cooking food is a dab hand with the seafood on the menu. Very good quality and portions. The buttermilk chicken is also very good. Front of house staff very friendly as well. Going back for tea later😎

The service and food in this place is amazeing , the fish and chips are the best ove tasted in years , I'd forgotten just how good fresh fish can taste 😋

Didn't eat this time, have in the past & we've always loved each meal, no complaints. On my lonesome for a few days camping, had a walk to popas with my dog for a pint of Batemans .. ended up having 3 🙈, made to feel very welcome by the bar staff. 3 big screens of sports were playing but sound turned down & motown music playing 😀 Cannot fault this bar for food , drink & warmth! Did sit outside on the large patio area with my 1st pint... sat inside for the next 2.

Popped in today with my mum who lives fairly locally. Very clean and well presented. Great choice on the menu. The staff were attentive. The food was very good and hot. Which is often not the case when eating out. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

Lovely place, food is good have a singer on most weeks (in the sunmer),

Modern and felt clean. Not enough wine glasses!!! So I had to have wine in a tumbler. Rather marred the experience. Decent meal though.

Refused to serve us a takeout option because the kitchen was "too busy" - not exactly professional.....

Strange set up neither a pub or a restaurant more like a canteen. We had a drink and sat outside

Dropped in today (10/08/2023) as me and a mate were out on the bikes (as the sun finally decided to shine) greeting was warm so we went to order food and got (very politely it has to be said) just to let you know we haven't got this we haven't got that etc OK it happens, so we both decided on something got a drink and sat down. Fast forward 5 minutes and the lady serving came across and very politely apologised as they hadn't got what we ordered. Ok so settled on steak and ale pie. When it came the mash was cold with lumps, the peas hard and luke warm, the pie well it was OK (just). My advice would be find somewhere else. That actually has the food that they advertise!!

Most of the staff were friendly and polite, except 1 was miserable. Food is definitely 5* and nice people who talked to you. Also Dog friendly is a good point. Clean tidy, well presented.

Table booked for 7.30, food arrived at 9pm. Food was OK but service was poor, no mention of long wait, staff appeared to just ignore it, maybe thinking we would not notice

Brilliant little pub and very dog friendly. Food was outstanding and good value for money.

I can't rate this place, as there was nowhere to park. It obviously is set up to service the nearby caravan parks and not visitors. Not impressed.

It's a great little place, although parking isn't easy at all. The food was delicious & dogs are welcome in the restaurant.

Nice but sign said Sunday carvery and it didn't serve carvery at 4pm in the afternoon? Doesn't make any business sense but ok... also no hours of carvery on wall.

Had the poorest fish and chip meal ever £14.wasted never again

Kitchen closed at 5 - do people not eat food at 5 on a Sunday???? What's the point in having a kitchen if it's not open at a normal time when most people want to eat! Only 1 vegan option... don't see the point in there being a vegan code on the menu for only one choice you can make. Poor choice of draught lagers (can't stand Carling)... but will give credit to the Staropramen Czech beer which was a nice beer for a change. Very smart interior design - but no point if customers can't actually sit and eat anything. Not a proper coffee machine…... Hot sunny day, people off beach, want to have food.. no food at 5? Can’t get my head around it. kitchen closed. pointless Popas pub!

Wonderful food and friendly service

The food that we were served was good but very disappointed that they were unable to provide gluten free chips for my 4 year old son, which was advised on the menu. We found the music far too loud, making it difficult to follow a conversation.

Very nice place to eat in anderby creek. Felt covid safe. The service was absolutely spot on and the food was pretty decent, the fried chicken and pizzas seem to be the speciality as they were fantastic. Puddings also great (choc brownie). Staropramen on draft also excellent. Updated in May 2023, Next time round seems to be letting standards slip, some issues around booking meant we didn't eat there one night, food took quite a while when we did go despite booking and it not seeming that busy. Food was OK this time, chicken still great but rest passable. Still when there is little option it does the job.

Firstly the chips were lovely. We had lasagne and chips and a mixed grill, plus 2 drinks £40+ Lasagne tasted old and was microwaved as the inside was still cold. The mixed grill consisted of chicken strips, a piece of steak, scampi a burnt sausage and a fried egg, this is not a mixed grill Have been here before but would not go back.

Wonderful find. Food was excellent. Very warm, friendly welcome from young lady. She was working in the bar, taking orders, serving meals and clearing up. She was calm and efficient. Well done too to the Chef. 22nd May, 2023. 15H00.

Every meal I've had at popas as been brilliant. We just had Sunday lunch, it was excellent. The owners make you feel at home, and service was impeccable. Great selection of real ales. I would highly recommend a visit, only 5 minutes walk to the sea

Would give 5 food is amazing especially the sunday carvery, the thing I don't like is how the tables are set out the last one we got we was sat in the middle of the queuing for carvey on one side of me and bar que on the other side so was basically people watching us eat plus our chairs been knocked a few times whilst eating. But the Sunday lunch was that good I won't stop me revisiting just hope for better seats next time x

Fabulous food best steak ever, and beer was spot on, highly recommended, top chef Jamie, we will be back on a regular basis.

Used to love this place for food and drinks and the food was lovely,Went in beginning of this season and we heard about discount cards as a few people on our site has got them .We asked for one to be told no as your not on our caravan site or a resident so no,But we have a caravan on the site next door where a few of our friends has got them on our site .... If it wasn't for all the caravans around there the pub would not make any money .So our custom every week is not wanted then . We feel very upset about this and we won't be going in again and take our custom else where who value customers .

We went for drinks and a meal. The food was regular pub grub. It was tasty and good portion sizes. It is very reasonably priced too. Dog friendly. We enjoyed it.

Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to sample the gluten free food, must be good because you need to book a table, down fall was served drinks before finding out there was no table to sit at and recommend to drink outside in the cold was with disabled olderly lady. Check before you buy drinks.

Can't complaint at all ! Lovely little venue and really well priced. Fast service.

This is a lovely bar, dog friendly, nice polite staff, well decorated and very clean. It has a nice seating area out on the front. The food menu is not large but you can always find something that you can have. My only little glitch is only a limited selection of draft lagers and the last couple of times I have had the Fish and chips and they were quite greasy apart from that everything is good.

Great little bar with fantastic food

Wow… just found a little gem. Fabulous food.. friendly staff. Probably one of the best fish and chips I’ve had, kids loved their spaghetti Bolognese, scampi and sausage kids meals… home made chips too. Highly recommend.

Lovely little place, went at the bank holiday weekend. It was packed outside and indoors, comfortable seating. Serving food and drinks. I only had chips but you got a good portion

Brilliant restaurant, great food & great staff to go with it. Stopped off here after a play on the seaside with the little ones and all of us enjoyed the food immensely. If ever we're round this way again, we'll be sure to come back

Another great meal at Popas Bar. My partner is vegan and highly rates the vegan pizzas (better than Prezzo/Pizza Express). Staff are friendly and attentive. If you are spending a day at the beach definitely give this little bar a visit.

Friendly staff very clean food excellent and on the doorstep of the caravan sight would highly recommend to anyone visiting Anderby Creek never had a single complaint everytime we have visited and very reasonably priced.

Absolutely loved the Sunday carvery. A very popular place so definitely need to book.

Lovely food ,well prepared , scampi and home chips one night ,haddock in beer batter (very light) and home fries next night ,massive piece of haddock. Excellent service from staff both nights. Highly recommend a visit . Kindly tell the lady from Wednesday night still didn't take any glasses.

Food was exceptional. As was the service. Staff was polite helpfully. Hard working. And kept on top of cleaning tables. Will be going back for sure. Kids welcome till closing. Also do bingo and live singers etc.
