It takes a long time to get food, but it's definitely worth the wait.

A nice cod and chip, large portions and good value. Very busy on a Sunday night, a slight wait but overall worth the visit. Curry sauce was very good.

Fish and chips were nice, and ordering was easy with the app. We as a family just found the atmosphere a bit loud.

Over 28min wait. Chips cooked but only just, no salt and vinegar although I was asked if I wanted some. Was recommended but will be my last vist😕

Went to the take out section to place order. You can eat your take away at the tables & benches outside. Downside was that it was windy so you had to eat quickly. (There is a restaurant next door which we intend to try another time) Always busy when you go past. Reasonable prices for food & hot & cold drinks. Would recommend

Best chip shop in the area, saying that probably the best fish & chips I've had in years, everything fried in beef dripping and you can tell the difference. Fantastic

Beef dripping no vegan or vegetarian options. A large cod a bit on the small side and flat, never again for me.

Food lovely. But waitress needs to get better customer service skills, nearly wore half my food when she plonked our order on the table!

Shocked at the rating. The cod would of been fresh 5 days ago. Chips were OK but for the price I wish we went somewhere else.

Absolutely rubbish! Only went in for a Fish Butty thinking it will be quick...fish in a bread roll! Oh no. Staff were extremely slow and chit chatting. Never seen a slower service! Every chance they got gossiping! Embarrassing! You need at least 30 mins at this place! Shocking!

We was there yesterday. No formal queue people hanging around inside could not get in and customer's could not get out it was like a cattle market so we turned around and went elsewhere with many other customers ,Not a nice experience

Whenever we are in Mablethorpe we ensure we come here at least once. They have the best fish and chips in town and always cooked fresh. I had to wait half an hour today due to how busy they are but it was totally worth it. You can order online which we will do in future to save the wait.

Amazing place to eat fish and chips would probably say the best chippy in mablethorpe so good definitely won’t be hungry after eating there a star all around

Stopped yesterday afternoon for fish and chips takeaway but sat outside on the provided seating. Food is cooked fresh to order so a short wait but well worth it. Cod was great. Lovely white flesh with light crispy batter. Wife had cod bites which were full of fish. Chips were excellent. Fluffy inside and some of the best I have tasted and I have had fish and chips around the country. I know some people will disagree but in my opinion they were great and will use this shop again when back in Mablethorpe.

The food here never disappoints, cod bites and chips this time. The cod bites were amazing and the chips were good too. Good value for money, and portion sizes were not so massive that you end up wasting half of the food or over eating. Took a while to get served and as for the atmosphere.....well it's in Mablethorpe...

The best fish and chips in Mablethorpe.

Open later than most fish and chip shops in the area as we arrived later than expected. Decent prices and nice tasting fish and chips. Fresh cod with a lovely batter and well seasoned chips which were light and fluffy. The only slight negative is the portion sizes could be bigger. On the whole I highly Recommend and will be ordering more again!

Visited for the first time. Definitely not disappointed.... Fish and chip's were amazing. Best we'd had for a long time... All cooked fresh whilst you wait so be prepared to wait.. But definitely worth the wait... Portion size very good... Unfortunately couldn't finish... Such a shame... Highly recommend..

Fish and chips were freshly cooked and very tasty. Only (minor) gripe was that my wife found the portion size a bit overwhelming. Seating is outside, but undercover so even if you get there just before closing time you can sit down and enjoy your food.

Use to be amazing this place but sadly gone right down hill. Took fish and chips back to the caravan and the smell from the fish was unbearable. Threw the whole lot out. Came here all the time when in holiday, sadly need to find somewhere else now.

Nice fish and chips but beware - very big portions 😂. I couldn't eat all of mine and even my husband left some chips. The staff were very good and friendly. Value for money. We would visit again if in Mablethorpe. We took ours down to the seafront so atmosphere is only 3 as we didn't eat on the premises. I would recommend this restaurant.

After reading some of the reviews on here, was really looking forward to trying Salty's. Sadly, was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the chips were lush as was the curry sauce. But the fish was a major let down. Practically all batter and no fish swimming in oil. Maybe this was just a one off, especially after seeing the restaurants big reputation. For myself and my partner however, still not a patch on our faves up in Whitby and Robins Hood Bay!

Good I liked it. Previously had a bias for Montys but I heard Montys has new owners and I am yet to try there this season.

Deliciously made traditional fish and chips. Really enjoyed eating there. I went for the small cod and a cone of chips, portion was a good size and was good value for money.

15 min wait for one bag of chips. When asked how long it would be, was told it was in que. Didnt matter we was not waiting for fish/sausage etc. Ridiculous

Foods good , service is terrible, wait times ridiculous for a chip shop and don't even bother ordering online you still wait and your orders never correct. If you guys could pull your customer service up to the quality of your food you would have way better ratings.

Whenever we are in Mablethorpe we come and have the fish and chips as it's probably the best fish and chips in the area nowadays! Always a large line in the day in season.

Absolutely fantastic, clean tables Service off the charts food, amazing it was flash didn’t wait too long, and most importantly, the attitude was fantastic.

I'm not saying this is the best fish and chips in the world - but I can't remember having any better for a long time. Excellent chips, great fish cooked to order in beautiful batter. Highly recommended.

Best chippy in Mablethorpe, but the queuing system needs looking at. What the customer orders should dictate when they are served. I only ordered one item but was made to wait for numerous large orders to be completed first making me wait around 15 to 20 mins. Would a telephone order get me served quicker instead of a walk in ? 🤔 On our last vist we waited 27 minutes to receive our order plus the fact a dog on a lead was allowed inside with its owners in the queue, every other owner including us had our dog outside.

Come here all year round. Always good food,always friendly and cheerful staff.Would definitely recommend.👍

Very tasty, crisp, fresh fish and chips with excellent service. Highly recommended!

Popped in last week when the weather was horrendous to some much needed hot food, and boy was the food good!! Order consisted of 2 x fish, 2 x battered sausage, 1 x pie and of course chips. Everything was great but the chips especially really were greater than great. On our next visit, if you could do something about the wind and the rain it would be appreciated.

Nice place for food. Had cod and chips. Took 15 minutes unfortunately but you know it was fresh. The fish was moist but quite oily. The chips where ok and curry sauce was thick with the gravy.

Fish disappointingly small(unforgivable in a Lincolnshire seaside town), skinny portion of chips, so over salted it caused my lips to swell. To add insult to injury I had to wait 25mins for this disappointing take away. Overall not worth the price. Was going to give only 1* but what was there was cooked reasonably. Guess which fish & chip place I'm not going to use again!

Come here every time we are in Mablethorpe. We have a caravan on the haven site plus a campervan so come here a lot .the food and service is always top notch.
