Food was lovely, but when you order a meal that comes with a drink make sure you tell them the drink with the meal and if you want an extra order it after because they don't honour the deal if not and when you remember that you dint ask fro the drink that you paid for with your meal and ask for it they want to charge you extra, so make sure you word it correctly is what I was told by the young girl that served us

Big signs up about cars prefered as cash is dirty. Left and went up the road whee cash was welcomed

A fish and chips bar in a typical English style. Set option with a drink and additions such as green peas, sauce, etc. Various fish: cod or haddock, squid, shrimp, etc. Large portions, fresh, English style fries. Payment by card or cash. Lots of tables.

Called in today and had cod chips curry sauce and a cup of tea with my wife. The fish was very well cooked. Will call in again if we're in the area

Whenever we are in Mablethorpe we always pop to Salty's. The fish is very tasty and the chips are great too, especially as they cook in beef fat. Average pricing for food but portions are a good size so it is value for money in my book.

Best fish and chips around by a country mile

Me and the missus went there today at lunch time 1ish and ordered A small but still big fish n chips for my partner I had cheese burger and chips and 1 latte and a pot of tea with beans as a side very piping hot chips and loads the fish was nice white flaky to perfection burger proper burgers and cheese no salad but that's no problem will definitely go again and i give it 10/10 for staff service and politeness so peeps try Salty' either seat inside and eat or go next door where there is a takeaway and eat outside area

Really fresh fish cooked in beef dripping so extra nice taste too. Far better than artificial / Veggy oil. It’s what chipshops always used Used to live in Mablethorpe until I was 15 It’s not really changed much except lots more what I call cheap junk shops. More amusement arcades too. Shame really. Norfolk Sea side towns are still quaint

Best chip shop I’ve ever been to. Really good prices too imo compared to most in the country. Freshest chips, the fish is beautiful. The wait was 20 minutes from order being taken to receiving food but my god it’s worth it

Lovely fish and chips eaten in the sit down part of the restaurant. We had large cod which had no bones and no skin and was coated in really lovely batter. Good portion of chips and tasty curry sauce. £13.50 including cup of tea. Didn't mind paying this for an inside table and table service. Only two small comments. There is a sticker on each table saying to use an app to order. My husband tried but found it very long winded. We asked the member of staff and he said we could order at the till. This needs to be made clearer. The meal came on a very small plate. For a large meal it would be better to have a bigger plate.

The fish was tasty and the batter was really crispy. We got two large chips to share between four and it was far too much for us.

Food was nice but certainly nothing special but what really let this place down was the customer service from the server she was so miserable and clearly didn’t want to be there in peak season, other staff looked just as miserable even the guy calling the orders looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at work

Have this every time I want a fish and chips doesn't disappoint

Fish and chips were nice, and ordering was easy with the app. We as a family just found the atmosphere a bit loud.

A nice cod and chip, large portions and good value. Very busy on a Sunday night, a slight wait but overall worth the visit. Curry sauce was very good.

Over 28min wait. Chips cooked but only just, no salt and vinegar although I was asked if I wanted some. Was recommended but will be my last vist😕

Best chip shop in the area, saying that probably the best fish & chips I've had in years, everything fried in beef dripping and you can tell the difference. Fantastic

Went to the take out section to place order. You can eat your take away at the tables & benches outside. Downside was that it was windy so you had to eat quickly. (There is a restaurant next door which we intend to try another time) Always busy when you go past. Reasonable prices for food & hot & cold drinks. Would recommend

Beef dripping no vegan or vegetarian options. A large cod a bit on the small side and flat, never again for me.

Food lovely. But waitress needs to get better customer service skills, nearly wore half my food when she plonked our order on the table!

Shocked at the rating. The cod would of been fresh 5 days ago. Chips were OK but for the price I wish we went somewhere else.

Absolutely rubbish! Only went in for a Fish Butty thinking it will be quick...fish in a bread roll! Oh no. Staff were extremely slow and chit chatting. Never seen a slower service! Every chance they got gossiping! Embarrassing! You need at least 30 mins at this place! Shocking!

We was there yesterday. No formal queue people hanging around inside could not get in and customer's could not get out it was like a cattle market so we turned around and went elsewhere with many other customers ,Not a nice experience

Whenever we are in Mablethorpe we ensure we come here at least once. They have the best fish and chips in town and always cooked fresh. I had to wait half an hour today due to how busy they are but it was totally worth it. You can order online which we will do in future to save the wait.

Be prepared to queue - but they will be worth it.

Fish and chips were dry, price was high, wouldn't reccomend it.

Stopped yesterday afternoon for fish and chips takeaway but sat outside on the provided seating. Food is cooked fresh to order so a short wait but well worth it. Cod was great. Lovely white flesh with light crispy batter. Wife had cod bites which were full of fish. Chips were excellent. Fluffy inside and some of the best I have tasted and I have had fish and chips around the country. I know some people will disagree but in my opinion they were great and will use this shop again when back in Mablethorpe.

The food here never disappoints, cod bites and chips this time. The cod bites were amazing and the chips were good too. Good value for money, and portion sizes were not so massive that you end up wasting half of the food or over eating. Took a while to get served and as for the atmosphere.....well it's in Mablethorpe...

The best fish and chips in Mablethorpe.

Open later than most fish and chip shops in the area as we arrived later than expected. Decent prices and nice tasting fish and chips. Fresh cod with a lovely batter and well seasoned chips which were light and fluffy. The only slight negative is the portion sizes could be bigger. On the whole I highly Recommend and will be ordering more again!

Visited for the first time. Definitely not disappointed.... Fish and chip's were amazing. Best we'd had for a long time... All cooked fresh whilst you wait so be prepared to wait.. But definitely worth the wait... Portion size very good... Unfortunately couldn't finish... Such a shame... Highly recommend..

Fish and chips were freshly cooked and very tasty. Only (minor) gripe was that my wife found the portion size a bit overwhelming. Seating is outside, but undercover so even if you get there just before closing time you can sit down and enjoy your food.

Use to be amazing this place but sadly gone right down hill. Took fish and chips back to the caravan and the smell from the fish was unbearable. Threw the whole lot out. Came here all the time when in holiday, sadly need to find somewhere else now.

Nice fish and chips but beware - very big portions 😂. I couldn't eat all of mine and even my husband left some chips. The staff were very good and friendly. Value for money. We would visit again if in Mablethorpe. We took ours down to the seafront so atmosphere is only 3 as we didn't eat on the premises. I would recommend this restaurant.

After reading some of the reviews on here, was really looking forward to trying Salty's. Sadly, was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, the chips were lush as was the curry sauce. But the fish was a major let down. Practically all batter and no fish swimming in oil. Maybe this was just a one off, especially after seeing the restaurants big reputation. For myself and my partner however, still not a patch on our faves up in Whitby and Robins Hood Bay!

Deliciously made traditional fish and chips. Really enjoyed eating there. I went for the small cod and a cone of chips, portion was a good size and was good value for money.

15 min wait for one bag of chips. When asked how long it would be, was told it was in que. Didnt matter we was not waiting for fish/sausage etc. Ridiculous

Foods good , service is terrible, wait times ridiculous for a chip shop and don't even bother ordering online you still wait and your orders never correct. If you guys could pull your customer service up to the quality of your food you would have way better ratings.
