Great night in pop world! So much fun and great drinks. Lovely girl served us and gave us some great Cardiff suggestions, couldn’t ask for a more lovely barmaid, didn’t ask for her name but she had ginger curly hair. Will come to pop world again!!!

Love this place, we booked for a work Xmas party and the staff treated us brilliantly. Door staff were especially courteous, especially the tall, dark and handsome one with the long hair! Ak or something his name was. Served on bar by this lovely girl but I can't remember her name Emma, Ella, Ellie? Maybe it was Emily? Anyway they were great!!!

Gave me the confidence to enjoy the kareoke and just elevated the night's experience tenfold, what a brilliant staff you have, Annie was amazing aswell, she just ensured we were all safe and clean (table wise) and I cannot fault either of the staff members I've mentioned, they're awesome ♡♡ So much love and well wishes sent their ways ♡

DO NOT GO IN POPWORLD IF YOU WANT TO DANCE AND HAVE FUN. You will be accused by the bar staff of being on drugs. A talk with the manger and a refund of our entry fee will not be enough. EDIT 16/9/24: Full details given of the night in question, but no response or even acknowledgement to my email … shouldn’t be surprised really given the total disrespect we received from their staff on the night.

I recently visited Popworld Cardiff with friends, and overall, we had a fantastic time! The music was great, creating an energetic and fun atmosphere, and the drinks selection was spot on with plenty of variety to suit everyone's tastes. However, one thing that really dampened the experience was the pickpocketing. It was unsettling to see groups working together, with a particular pretty girl leading the distraction while others targeted unsuspecting people. I stood by and watched their tactics unfold as clear as day, which made it hard to believe that security and the bouncers weren't picking up on it. This needs to be handled much better—it's disturbing to see such behavior going unchecked in what should be a fun and safe night out.

My daughter went on a hen do her and the bride to be had her drink spiked. This club was not interested at all seeing she was taken to hospital as she blacked out, was hallucinating, and become generally unwell. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone

We've had the best time! Out on a hen do and we were treated like vip's. We could dance all night here, definitely coming back

Barman very unprofesional. I have requesred gin and tonic. Neither he asked which tonic i would like nor remake the drink after i requested to use a diferent gin.

Popped in for a hen do expecting to only do a couple karaoke songs and ended up staying all night thanks to Kevin and the team! Honestly security were legendary and protected us & joined in on all the jokes! For my first time clubbing it was such a relief to feel so safe & be able to just let loose and have fun with the girls! Ps thanks for the duckies 🐥

The most attentive staff... the music. OMG THE MUSIC, it is genuinely the happiest place in Cardiff town. Old school music that attracts a pleasant crowd. Price of drinks is as expected in the centre of Cardiff overall would definitely recommend on your night out in Cardiff.. don't give it a miss!!

Interesting how pubs can be different in different towns and it's all down to the people, tonight I witnessed a doorman go above and beyond to do what's right regardless of the danger to himself and I witnessed a manager supporting his actions, don't spend much time in Cardiff but very proud of what I saw, it takes people with the right mindset to make a change much respect keep doing what you do, ignore the Karen's do the right thing karma will come back to you all much love

We arrived as a 5 piece Stag Do on the evening of Saturday 22nd June. Entry was pretty simple with a great chatty guy in the entrance kiosk. But once inside we waited for service at the bar for some 30 minutes with not even eye contact from those serving behind the bar. Awful service. We walked out without even getting a drink. Will not be retuning..

Came here after 30 seconds to Mars and absolutely loved it. Service was good. Door team were delightful. Best part was the DJ Rhys playing all the best classic popworld tunes anyone could ask for. Would recommend anyone to come here.

Came here tonight it was absolutely rammed and the bouncers were lovely making sure me and my friend were OK and also it was heavy rain outside we were allowed to stand under one of there umbrellas in the queue and also on the way out while we were trying to figure out how to get home to Cwmbran and he gave us both an umbrella to get home with lovely the pair of them kev and rich didn't catch the other ones name but lovely people not something you see all the time.

Disability discrimination! One of our girls had MS and bouncer thought she was drun so was not allowed In. Need to educate bouncers. Myself as a type 1 diabetic could be having low blood sugar but act like being drunk. NEVER BEEN TREATED LIKE THIS

Have only been here once, each subsequent visit ruined by a power tripping bouncer who first time wouldn't let us in because they weren't happy with shorts my friend was wearing & second time seemingly for no reason it seems. Will not be returning.

All going well in popworld Cardiff, until me and my lover got kicked out . We felt like we may have been targeted for expressing ourselves in the area designated for dancing. We were fulfilling the YMCA in support of our police who work so hard day in day out as well as the military personnel. Thanks.

We were told we'd get free shots and we had to pay £20 for shots that were supposed to be free. Scam.

What an awful DJ. Asked for 1 song for my my husbands 50th birthday and he said NO sorry 😐 what a rude young man . It eas empty may they should be nicer to the actual customers they have .

The small lad on the door was on a power trip and stopped me and asked who I was with? I said I was alone as my friends were inside, his reply was your not coming in on your own…. So I spoke to the girl behind me in the line to ask if she would be with me, she said sure fine no problem. The little lad still refused me entry. I write this review as I was not even drinking that night! Ridiculous!

We came on 10/2 The gentleman who was first outside then inside and took our entry fee was soooo lovely and made us feel so welcome :) the dj was great, will definitely come again

Been looking for somewhere for a works party in December but the reviews (and the management responses🤦🏻‍♀️) are appalling so maybe not!

Went here with 2 friends and won't be setting foot here again.We went in sat at a table and stayed for 3 hours.We spent a fair amount of money in there then we were ordered to move to another table because they wanted other people to sit there.The manager had a very bad attitude towards us and refused to give her name.We finished our drinks and left.I told her that a review of Popworld would be put up so here it is.Don't waste your money coming here,you get treated like dirt.

Disgusted refused me and my friends entry even though we had ID very rude bouncer with glasses and beard discriminated us even though we look young for our age we had legal id which we showed but still refused us entry I’ll never come back to popworld again

Popworld is so much fun. I've never had a bad night out there. Cheesy hits, not too pricey. Just all around good. I love the promo guy, he's so funny. He's really become a cornerstone of Cardiff life. What would we do without hearing those famous words? "Come in for one, stay for the fun!"

I live above Popworld and from early evening there's a man screaming "Popworld, free entry. Come for one taste the fun" once every 5 minutes. PLEASE STOP. Surprisingly the music doesn't even make it through my soundproofing. Just that voice.

This is a great club to great place to go enjoy and dance to old classics. The staff were friendly and service was good. Great prices.

The Dj on Wednesday night was absolutely awful. Very cocky personality that doesn’t know most popular hits and would not be bothered to play anything. 👎

Had the best experience with the bar staff, security and management here. They are very forthcoming at protecting women and ensuring that you are safe and have a good time. Very impressed. Would recommend to any female group.

Er waren ongeveer zes mensen in deze plek, zagen we vanaf de buitenkant. Ik liep samen met een vriend naar de beveiliger en vroeg of we nog naar binnen konden. Hij keek ons nauwelijks aan en mompelde iets over mijn broek / schoenen die niet oké waren. Ik had een nette lange broek aan en nieuwe schoenen. We waren stomverbaasd. Er was geen enkele transparantie of vriendelijkheid te zien bij deze beveiliger. Jammer. Het staat haaks op de gastvrijheid en openheid die wij in Cardiff ervaren! Ons advies: stop met dit vage deurbeleid. Het past niet meer bij deze tijd en verpest de vibe.

Female bar Manager has zero customer service skills, totally childish and provocative trying to get a reaction from people once she'd had them kicked out for doing nothing wrong. Following them outside, waving & shouting 'goodbye' 100% on a power trip! Not interested in actually speaking with customers to deal with problems or questions, her solution is to call for security. Even the bouncers knew she was in the wrong yet they just have to do as they're told. Group of 7, cost us £35 to get in for all of 5 mins. Was an absolute shambles in there. Best thing the owner can do us to employ a new manager and bar staff with better attitude and who actually like working with the public

Friend got kicked out because someone else's card was declined in front of her and the bar maid refused to serve her. Six bouncers for a woman that's about 5 foot tall.

Tacky decor, terrible cocktails (couldn’t get past the first sip) and men circling the dance floor like vultures. Not inviting in the slightest. The staff were also not friendly, never smiled, and ultimately provided a real poor level of service. It was an uncomfortable first experience for two women that have never been to Cardiff. I’m so glad that I didn’t book a booth. Avoid.

Absolutely disgusting behaviour from staff!! Approached staff to inform them a man had touched me inappropriately to be told “he’s a regular” they then proceeded to remove me from the club by bouncers!!
