Starbucks in Cardiff

soy milk, 2 drops of cinnamon syrup, extra shot of coffee, extra hot, they make it perfect and right 9/10 times.

Great place for a quiet coffee and bite to eat. It’s on the first floor at Next. Standard corporate offering but it is quiet and welcoming. Great place to relax.

Although I don't think of Starbucks as going out for coffee in general and the bay is packed with coffee shops, this is definitely worth considering. On nice days you have to be lucky or patient to find a table with a view - and why have coffee in the bay and not have view. There are loads of lovely places to sit however, and take out coffee gives an option to find somewhere really nice.

Good serivce and when i requested for a soy milk base, they made sure the chococaltw in my double chocolate frap is dairy free, bless them (im lactointo). Toilet was dirty and stinky though. Seemed like not so clean coz nobody really checked if the tables were cleared and not sticky

We had coffee here whilst visiting Cardiff Bay - we had a voucher that needed spending! The coffee was good and the ladies serving were friendly and polite. It was quite busy when we arrived - it's not a huge cafe, but we got a seat. There is outside seating too.

I bought a takeaway coffee and a panini during a busy Saturday lunchtime. Despite having several food orders on the go, the staff served everyone quickly and they were very polite. This was a better experience than I've had in other branches of Starbucks in Cardiff.

I like starbucks but not my favorite. But the staff was very nice and friendly, nice and tasty coffe. Happy to be there

Service with a smile. Very efficient considering very busy due to World Cup and there being a big screen outside. Great coffee.

not friendly staff at all,.. ordered Americano coffee to go when i drink it i could taste of horrible coffee, im sure it was filter coffee from the jug, what a ripoff

First visit to Starbucks in ages and wished I'd stuck to normal choice of Costa... totally Dissatisfied with customer service as asked for brown sugar as there wasn't any. Was very rudely told that if there wasn't any out that there wasn't any!!! The girl who I asked had no intention of asking a colleague or even attempting to locate any and wasn't at all concerned that supplies in the area were empty. In fairness there was white sugar available but seriously cappuccino or any type of milky coffee it's a must to have it with brown sugar? Additionally we ordered a hot chocolate and it was cold but most disappointing visit as tables dirty and not cleared and it wasn't even busy!

kasey (I think was her name) took a great pleasure to kick us out when I walked in with my small dog to get a latter to go. didn't get a latte, neither a polite question weather my dog was a service dog, just a rude "take IT outside". Been buying starbucks for a decade and so, never had a RUDE customer service before. major fail.

Went into Starbucks mermaid quay as my daughter wanted to go in, ordered four hot drinks nearly £14.. Went outside whilst waiting went back in to see if drinks were ready they were left at side of counter all the cream had dripped down the side of the cups and onto counter... I was acknowledged as mate by the ginger male assistant I've never met him before in my life...more friendly in my local McDonald's.

I go here as I work nearby very friendly staff and always lovely coffee to drink in or take away. highly recommended

Friendly staff and good coffee, although it did get very busy and it was all office workers but they soon went and then the cafe was peaceful once again

Went in here a couple of times, the staff were nice and pleasant. Didn't have to wait long for drinks, maybe around a minute, for a hot drink- not bad. The mint hot chocolate/butterscotch latte are lovely.

This is a bit of a local for me as it's near my office. I often pre-order a flat white when they open at 7a.m. Quality is always good and staff always friendly.

I'm a bucks fan and always grab a coffee and take a stroll around the bay. Try it yourself, it's very good and consistent.

Stopped for coffees on a cold November day, service was excellent, the family had a mixture of hot and cold drinks and toasted panninis. Everyone finished their drinks and food always love the Christmas drinks. Location good right on the bay would be lovely in the summer.

Just a mid week afternoon coffee. Service was great from staff but the general atmosphere in the store wasn't great. There was no music which would have been the perfect compliment. Aside from that coffee was good and served hot as expected from Starbucks.

I visited for a post work coffee and whilst the coffee was good, the shop seemed grubby and had really odd music playing (it sounded like something being squashed). Good range of coffee and cakes though :)

Popped in for coffee and cake. Enjoyed our drinks as usual and particularly enjoyed the gingerbread loaf cake - delicious. Staff were really lovely, very helpful and super nice :)

It's a starbucks, so there isn't a ton to say, but it is in a remarkably pretty area and the employees were very attentive. We waited out the rain in here.

You get what it says on the packet. Good coffee at reasonable prices at a great location. You can sit inside or on a nice day you can sit outside and watch the world go by.

I enjoy a drink here most times that I visit Cardiff Bay. The staff are always attentive and the drinks are always prepared to perfection. My usual drink is a caramel latte although this weekend I was controversial and ordered a frappuccino, I was not disappointed, although my eyes were bigger than my belly.

I have visited plenty of Starbucks around the UK, but it was my first time in Cardiff Bay. My mum never went to a Starbucks so I needed to make sure she has her first experience. She ordered the Strawberry and Cream, and I had Frapuccino with Caramel. We were served well and the staff was patient with us until we made up our mind on what to order! (Starbucks is not available in Malta, so sometimes it gets overwhelming for us, haha!)

Rubbish service.. Overpriced.. Overrated.

Like many Starbuck cafes, good for coffee and relaxation. And the sky was pouring so it was an ideal shelter!! The service was good and place not so crowded upon or arrival.

Not much to say but I went when this coffee house was quiet one evening. Sometimes the service can be worse when a place is quiet than when it's busy, probably because the staff aren't as 'on the ball'. Compared to the other Starbucks in Cardiff, it just felt like they couldn't be bothered to serve...too busy chatting amongst themselves and to the speed boat crew who seemed to go behind the counter and help themselves.

....Or so, is what I tell myself when I am traveling in the UK. (In Malta, we do not have Starbucks). We were greeted by very happy people, and they didn't mind us taking 10minutes to decide what to get. The shop was not busy at all at this time. I ordered a frappuccino with caramel and my companion had strawberries and cream. Both choices were delicious. It being a gorgeous sunny day, we decided to sit outside and take in a beautiful day in sunny South Wales :)

It's a Starbucks, nothing great to report, but after going for a run on Sunday this place was ready to serve when other places that should have been open weren't, so there.

Popped in before work for a coffee and a croissant, even though it was half 7 in the morning the staff were very happy and friendly. Both women made my day. Only downside was asking for it to be warmed up and even though I seen it go in the grill it was freezing and had definitely not been heated. Lovely place though and the best staff.

We were killing time until our table was ready at a local restaurant. It was early evening, the sun was still shining but it was very windy. The other coffee shop was shut. We usually find Starbucks great and predictable. The one member of staff who from what he told me was not from that store was very friendly and nice and helpful - he told me to take no notice of the other man, who was rude to me.. I won't dwell on his rudeness, he probably wanted to go home, and had had a hard day.. They weren't very busy. The drink was fine but needed topping up.

If there was an award for friendly staff the Mermaid Quay Starbucks wins it. I cant comment on the coffee, its Statbucks so its what youd expect, but the staff will cheer your day.

I'm in this Starbucks every week! The service is always great and our drinks always taste good. Free parking helps as well!

Visited this location every morning for a week while on business. As a Starbucks addict I can attest that this location has the friendliest staff anywhere. My only suggestion is that the location offer mixed nuts with their oatmeal as is available at other locations.

We always enjoy stopping at Starbucks for tea/coffee or hot chocolate, and to use their conveniences. Sometimes the latter are not great - not at Cardiff. All in good condition!

I love Starbucks Earl Grey tea, and made a point of going her both days during our weekend in Cardiff Bay, I even bought some teabags to bring home! I enjoyed my Skinny lemon muffin and my hubby had a hot choc with caramel and whipped cream, very indulgent Tables in side and outside over looking Cardiff Bay

Only coffee shop I could find in the Quay that opens at 7 AM on weekdays. Friendly staff and good coffee ...

The male staff is active talker, also well service everyone. The coffe is as usual. They have outside seats as well as inside seets.

Chris' customer service, humor and generosity is at the highest standard possible, I have never been in a Starbucks or any establishment for that matter and felt so welcomed and satisfied, Chris, you're amazing, thanks for the beverages :)

We visited the coffee on a Sunday and it was busy. I always have the filter coffee as I suits me just right and where I work in London I always visit this particular coffee house. On this occasion not sure if they were short staffed or otherwise but the tables outside were dirty, empty coffee cups were not collected and to be blunt just horrible. The staff serving were great and the drinks to a tee however the seating area needed to be kept tidy which it failed to do. If I buy my coffee and I sit down I need to be relaxed to enjoy my coffee and on this occasion this Starbucks did not live up to its other branches I tend to visit.

We had our dog so needed a drink and a sit down after a long walk around the bay admiring the warships that was here for NATO. This was a great find I'm not a real Starbuck fan but I did enjoy a large. Chai latte and husband capaccino and a sit down for half an hour the service quick the drinks OK the sit down even better. The toilets very clean a place we could go in summer or winter with dog so will go back x

Of course, it is Starbucks - you know how big a town is by calculating the density of Starbucks placed within a square mile...

As a self confessed coffee addict I visit a lot of Starbucks stored in many countries, but none compare to the guys at the shop in the bay. A special shout goes to Sophie and Sam, whom no matter how busy, will always stop and say hi and have a chat. This store has got the concept of a coffee shop down to a tea(no pun intended!)

Standard Starbucks, nice clean place, good views lovely Starbucks fare, reasonably priced for the area. Happy Days

I'm a Starbucks fan but this one at Mermaid Quay is small, cold and generally uninviting. Enough said really

Staff are wonderful and friendly, service is fab and the environment is warm and welcoming. By far my favourite coffee place!!! They even bring my coffee to my table and open doors for me when I am struggling with my baby!! (Whose name they always remember!)

Never been in here when it is busy just a normal star buckets close to a few little shops that sell welsh cakes and little nix nax ideal stop for a quick coffee and watch the world go by

Visited with groupon vouchers, good service and deals very good, lattee and food of good standard well worth visit when at the bay

Called in just to have drinks,it is right nar the theatre,you have a lovely view of the harbour and central to everything,only gripe if you have to use a card £10.00 limit!

As usual, Starbucks coffee is always welcome, no matter what country you visit. Had breakfast sandwich and coffee for a quick morning start.

Was served by a lovely lady Sophie and I must say they are fantastic in there. Spent a whole day in there relaxing as it was such a good environment and the weather was awful. A credit to the business!

One of the worst starbucks I have been. Very poor atmosphere, you really don't want to stay and sit there. Only the location is okay, but the interior is just a joke. Compared to the close by COSTA, it is so inferior that its hard to even explain the worlds between the two. I really wonder if this is starbucks Strategy in the UK. The drinks are standard starbucks, but at least in Germany, everybody loves starbucks also for its nice ambiente.

I enjoy all Starbucks, this one especially as it is perfectly placed on the waterfront, I like to take mine away with me to wander around, but it's also handy on cold days were you can enjoy your hot cuppa & have a warm up the same time...

All Starbucks in my opinion are brill. The only negative I have is that the one in the bay isn't quite big enough and although plenty of outdoor space it's not always warm enough to sit outside. Should move to bigger promises as its always busy

I've been here a few times. drinks aren't always consistent, sometimes the caramel macchiatos are really weak and other times really strong. in the summer they ran out of the mango iced drink which was ridiculous

Service with a smile? Not here! Sour faced grumpy staff that clearly don't care about customer service. Just paid approx £20 for a mug, drink and cake and the staff member refused to provide a bag for the mug. I had no cash on me and another customer had to step in and buy my bag! Poor show!!!

I love this place. The staff are always friendly, the coffee and cakes are good and the frappuccinos are wicked. I quite often sit outside with my dog watching the world go by, Fab place.
