Room was as expected in a Premier Inn. Staff on reception were friendly and kindly gave some helpful directions to the Utilita Arena. The Brewers Fayre next door was handy for a drink but we didn't eat there.

A nice hotel within walking distance of Cardiff city centre. Comfortable rooms and a pub next door for food. Great value.

Rooms standard, but good. Staff are friendly and respectful. Had broken appliances but not major. HDMI doesn't work. Vampires were chilling outside? Not hotels fault. They seemed fine. Slightly freaky. Not hotels fault, just strange. Wish adequate amount of bedding was provided. 3 beds - 2 duvets.

The hotel is in an ideal location and affordable close to the city centre and the Cardiff Bay. Food and takeaway options however in the location is scarce. There is a hotel restaurant if needed. The car park is in great need of fresh paint as you can’t make out the lines as they are so badly faded.

It's the second time we've stayed here, it's the most convenient premier inn in Cardiff as it has free parking and is only a 30 minute walk to the docks or 15 minutes to the center. Staff in both the hotel and the pub are lovely, decent breakfast too!

Rooms ok but the restaurant is very much due a refurb, especially the tables, windows were dirty and don’t looked like they been cleaned inside and out for ages.

Room 101 above the reception. Receptionist banging drawers all night and letting doors slam. Asked them for a little consideration. Was told I could go elsewhere at 2am. Terrible attitude.

No lift. Had to walk far to room. Most channels didn't work. They don't. change bed sheets after 5 days even if it's dirty.

Not a bad location, it’s quiet and plenty of free validated parking. Checking was painless and straightforward and the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern and spacious although there are signs of patchy repairs. The showers and bathroom was good and in my opinion the bed was reasonably comfy (a point always subject to personal preference). The free WiFi was extremely patchy and slow and we found the ultimate WiFi was no better so we didn’t bother much with it. Would we stay here again? Yes, we probably would.

Just spent the night here while at the Bruce Springsteen show - the staff were all very lovely and welcoming but the restaurant staff went above and beyond. They even remembered my husband was GF the next morning after we had checked in. Excellent service.

1 night stay 4th May, 2024. Very busy weekend in Cardiff (Bank Holiday and several large concerts on the go) so reception, unsurprisingly, very busy. Despite this, the lady on reception did everything she could to appropriate my early check in as soon as she could. Room was very clean and well presented and there was a box of welcome chocolates and a very nice 'personal touch' of a welcome message wishing me an enjoyable evening at my chosen event (mentioning it by name). Not something I have had at any other Premier Inn. Well done Premier Inn Cardiff City South and all the staff involved in my stay.

Great location close to city with ample free parking. There is a Brewers Fayre pub on site. Only gripe is we booked a Premier room but there was only one large towel and one small for two people and no bath mat. Not very Premier.

Need to ask for housekeeping at reception, signs on the door is not enough.

Decent (but not as nice as other premier inns). Staff were great as normal though. Bit of a dodgy location.

I had a biscoff waffle and a peanut butter milkshake and it was amazing! Probably like 1500 calories but worth it and the ambiance of the place is very nice, old fashioned American restaurant vibes

Great night in pop world! So much fun and great drinks. Lovely girl served us and gave us some great Cardiff suggestions, couldn’t ask for a more lovely barmaid, didn’t ask for her name but she had ginger curly hair. Will come to pop world again!!!

No idea what the food's like as UberEats never managed to collect/deliver it. For all I know, this could be the finest veggie restaurant in Cardiff, but at least one link in the chain is broken so I'll never find out. If the manager of the Shrub Grub reads this, I strongly suggest you reconsider your association with Uber as it seems to be run by clowns, and I can confirm that the "humans" on the support chat are actually AI. Took me four conversations to finally get the order cancelled. Total joke.

The restaurant with the best view in Cardiff also can supply you with a damn fine breakfast buffet. Window seats (or if possible -this is Wales- outside) are the best.
