Went for a works christmas night out, really good night apart from when I checked my bank the following day the prices went up as the night went on even though I was drinking the same thing. Varied between £9 odd to £12 for a double gin and lemonade. Be careful guys and keep a check on your transactions if you use a card 🤬

Manager not available. Staff cannot make decisions without. Bad experience!

Went for halloween bottomless brunch. Had an amazing time. The staff were friendly and great at checking to see if we wanted refills (exactly what you want from bottomless brunch). The menu was varied with options for veggies and cocktails and when the food came, it was delicious!

I visited walkabout in Cardiff with some work colleagues in Seotember this year. The food was amazing, as was the service. Our very own waitress Paige went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable and unforgettable. Excellent service and calue for money 💰

Really surprised at how tasty the food was here, had matchsay platter, side of fries & Gouda cheese sticks. Chicken wings were outstanding, cheesy BBQ beef Burt ends nachos delicious. Overall very pleased 😋😋😋

Went there for the foam party, had one hell of a night, great service, helpful staff and great drinks, didn’t have any food there so can’t comment on that

I walk in in the evening during visiting the area. There's no customers, I order a beer, amstel £3, win. Attentiveness good. Ordered a bit of food after 4 beers, wings and chips, good price, good food. Floors abit sticky but I know, currently working in the trade, there's been an issue with cleaning chemicals with a changeover. I walk in next day, also quiet, during the whole afternoon, I'm 1 of 3 sets of customers in 3 hours, new menu, good food. Staff attentiveness - good. Only issue kids, walking in willy nilly, played pool, sat for ages no purchase of any soft drinks,.drinking from their own juice bottles, and canoodling, completely free to do so, without staff noticing. The surrounding area is busy, so there's no foot traffic issue, pop in later in the night, also quiet. I don't understand. Good beer choice, for a great price, good menu, good food, good decor, friendly staff. Wheres the custom. 2 days visited, both in various parts of the day including open, afternoon, evening and close, and low custom. It's baffling. Hope it picks back up, for the sake of the industry

Paige (bar staff) made my partners birthday the best he has ever had. She danced with us for a minute before we left and made sure we were sorted the whole night. She is truly a walkabout secret star and deserves a raise ! Thanks Paige so much for making the night the best it could’ve been!

Me and my partner the only customers there played 4 games of pool and 2 pints each then asked how long we planned to stay... Being valley girl and bar maid by trade ask why all the questions as we regularly dri k and play pool mid week..... Management can't give reasons only they have lost a friend today which tbh anyone can understand but no reason to refuse custom who haven't done anything wrong... Can honestly say feel peduced for being from valleys and not towney from cardiff so note to all from anywhere other than Cardiff all female staff are crap only decent member was Josh but not about today....

Had bottomless brunch for the first time there last night and the service was excellent! The drinks were amazing, the staff member Paige was so friendly and truly made our night a great one. Definitely will be going again!

I booked two lunch tables for a group of 14, we arrived and the tables provided were small and not able to fit 14 dining comfortably. Regardless, we ordered food, but due to a fryer issue on that day, it took over 1hr 40mins for the food to come out. Two of the 14 meals never arrived. The food was great (when it arrived) but it was a spoiled experience.

Ordered on the app, had a mixture of the small plates and then a side of chips. The food was amazing, pretty quick coming out and very reasonably priced!! Would 100% come back for food, I wasn’t sure what it would be like but it was really good!

So not from the area and wanted somewhere to watch the rugby before going on to an event at Utilita . Looked them up and seemed to be a sports bar with great atmosphere with your mates for watching live sport(their words) saw that I had to book and pay a £30 deposit so rang to book and check deposit could be used against food and drink and was told yes also had this in writing in the confirmation e mail . Arrived at venue to realise wasn’t quite what we were expecting! This is a night club( even at 4.30 in the afternoon) with lots of screens so you can watch the match but you definitely can’t hear the commentary or each other due to live band ( then DJ ) with loud thumping continuous music! Anyway had to make best of it as deposit paid . Went to get drink , bit of a delay as very lovely chap behind bar didn’t know about deposits but found out and then no problem. So onto food - a limited menu we discovered though this wasn’t in the written information on website, confirmation e mail plans and we weren’t told at time of booking , ok so never mind ordered what we could then came to pay - oh , no we can’t take deposit money to pay for food! But it said you can? No you have to pay with a card! So another £20 later….. despite best efforts my hubby couldn’t quite manage £30 of beer ( I was driving) so we ended up having £9 left but can’t be refunded ! You will have to e mail I was told - so I have but as yet no reply!! And it’s not the amount of money that is the issue ( though it would soon mount up over several customers ) but rather the mis information -had I known we couldn’t use the deposit towards food then I probably would have picked somewhere else! So come on management please respond and do the right thing - and by the way your staff were just lovely -all very polite and courteous and hard working.

Absolutely no point in booking a table, as we were constantly bombarded by staff trying to move us, patrons using our table and it then became a dumping ground for everyone else empty glasses, never again will I book here again.

Had a party of 31 booked into the vip which was absolutely packed!, tables with our names on were given to others and rather than move those they moved us into a room that clearly wasn’t VIP. That room had 3 bar staff trying to serve about 200 people. 40 min to get a pint! We left and went to Revs, don’t waste your time with this place, their greed of get as many crammed in as they can made VIP worthless.

A really large venue. A good number of bars to order from. Lots of screens for the sports that they broadcast live. Plenty of booths and seating areas and what looked like a couple of large dance floors. Friendly staff who look to ensure you have a good experience. I would recommend

If anyone wants to attend a live sport event don’t do it in Walkabout Cardiff. They’ll take your money and treat you badly. We paid 20 quid “refundable deposit” for a table at 11pm for Royal Rumble which never materialised. The deposit was meant to be our tab, but by 12.30am none of the staff would acknowledge us or even let us know there wasn’t a table or event, or if they’d even be open for the whole PPV. On closer inspection, Royal Rumble was removed as an event from the website 15 hours prior (according to Google) so I can only assume they cancelled and they didn’t let those who booked know in advance or let their floor staff know what happened. One of our party posted his grievances on an older post advertising the event on the Facebook and Walkabout promptly deleted his comments. Can’t delete this post though can you? We travelled to Cardiff for no reason and paid parking, unnecessarily. I have disabilities and you trapsed us around the venue for no reason causing more strain on me which has worsened my symptoms today. We weren’t the only people affected either and you treated us all like a nuisance. We expect at the very least our money back and also compensation for parking and everything else you put us through.

Large venue, very clean with food drink selection. Ideal for watching sport events!

So, but of an odd experience. I booked and a bit of confusion.. But within 5 mins it was resolved! Kieron was an absolute STAR! HE SLAYEEEEEED. what an absolute god send you have as a server. To say he's been here a month! Give him three he needs a pay rise and a higher job position! I will definately be coming back. And if he's not here.... welll.... haha!

Outside needs renovating as looks tired but the inside has the decor that you would expect from a walkabout. Good food and drink and at a fair price.

Went to Walkabout on Saturday to watch the rugby and it was an absolute pleasure. Our host Kieran sat us at a lovely table and checked on us many times, we were so well looked after! Also the bar staff were brilliant and very funny. Great experience overall!

Came today with my friends to watch Wales and England in the rugby and it was an amazing experience, our host Kieron was a pleasure and a delight and made sure we were well looked after the whole time and the bartenders were lovely 10/10 would go just for the service!!

Service was adequate,unfortunately insufficient amount of staff on duty to promote good bar service. Atmosphere was good. Large volume of customers present, but it didn't feel overcrowded.

Bar service here is shocking. A packed house Friday of the speedway GP & only 2 people behind the bar. They didn’t seem trained in customer service or looked like they wanted to be there. Don’t blame them, I didn’t either. Excessive ice and mixers in drinks. Stick to bottles if you are unlucky enough to end up here but lucky enough to get served. Poor show.

Being told I was refused service based on nothing. "Made someone feel nervous", when all I did was sit and watch the cricket. Completely biased and unfounded. Avoid like the plague.

Went to watch England women's football final. Unfortunately a lot of screens with sound full blast, you couldn't talk at all, so went next door to Wetherspoons

Went for a quick bite. Ordered a double burger with extras. It came without extras. Chips were also bad (sour/bitter taste I assume old). Plus everything is small.. The size of burger size of chips in a small basket. Not worth the price + not up to the competitor offers.

Wales had been playing rugby at home. Lots of rugby fans were there after the game to watch England play. Great atmosphere, good staff. A good time was had by all!

The label I work with (Better You Better Me Records C.I.C.) put on an event here. It was a great night. We had a good sized function room with PA and bar staff provided. The room had great lighting effects, which added to the atmosphere, as you can see in the video. All the staff were very helpful, showed us how to get our gear to the back alley to load up, and even gave me directions to navigate from a car park to the pub, through the one way system.

My first pub experience in Cardiff and what a great choice. Packed full of atmosphere and friendly people and a must go place if you're visiting Cardiff.

Had VIP tickets for after a concert, we had a blast really recommend the Photo Booth couldnt stop laughing , toilet typical if any type of club experience I guess so yeah .. but overall blast

Place was ok. Drinks price standard for most places. Only thing wa, having not been out in cardiff before we didnt know that we were allowed downstairs. All doors were open. Bar seemed open. But the group of us got shouted at by staff for no real reason. First pub we went in. Wasnt drunk/rowdy just genuinely didnt know.

It is what it is, Walkabout. Was head doorman at the Reading venue 25+ years ago.Unfortunately, they don't have the same vibe these days. On the plus side £2.50 for a pint in the Capital? Count me in!!

Beer had an awful taste, had to send them back. Manager was friendly and kind enough to give replacement after he tried it. Cheap for shots and bottles but would stay away from the lager!

Myself and my girlfriend had burgers from walkabout. One vegan and one meat. She spent the whole bus ride (don’t judge me) home about to spew her guys out. I am currently deceased.

seen more atmosphere at a funeral can see why it got its name because all you can do is walk about oh and some how i dropped my key in toilet and had to fish it out not ideal

I went to go in walkabouts last night and got asked for ID which I don’t carry at 42 but have got my passport and driving license on my phone but they wouldn’t accept that but as I was waiting for my friends to come out they accepted others I found the security unfair and very passive aggressive and extremely unfair and antagonist I’ve never had a fight or been escorted out of a pub in my life but the security was just being arsholes for the sake of it I won’t be going there again and will advise anyone to not go to that place.

Needs better music to cater for ages above 25 😀
