Pontypool Indian Cuisine Restaurant & Takeaway in Torfaen

Everything absolutely tasteless took one and half hours to come the chicken madras tasted of pepper no other taste so haven’t been touched sheek kebab worst thing I’ve ever tatsed haven’t a clue what kind of meat it was but I can tell you that wasn’t any kind of meat I’ve ever tasted pure rank and the keema rice omg another level of the worst ever tasted best thing for this place is either get a new chef which actually knows what Indian food is and how to cook it or just knock the place down to go with the meal they delivered to me ( destroyed )

From the outside it looks less than salubrious, but we were sooo pleantly surprised. We sat in the restaurant, which is small but satisfactory and the waiting staff are very nice. They don't serve alcohol but you are welcome to take your own. We ordered starters and main course, chicken pakora (8 pieces arrived with a salad, onion bhajees (4 with salad). I had chicken makhani with coconut rice 🍚- perfect, loads of 'real' chicken. Hubby had chicken pathia with pilau rice, again loads of chicken - he said it was delicious. We also had peshwari naan, 😋. We had coke and lemonade to drink, we didn't bother taking boze with us. The bill was a very reasonable £61.

Returned here after 2 yrs to find things better . Food was lovely full of taste and plenty of meat . Definitely will be using this Indian again 😁

Have ordered from Asiana on multiple occasions without any complaints but tonight after waiting 2 1/2 hours for delivery I have to say was the worst food I have ever had from an Indian takeaway. Think there must be new owners

I've never used this restaurant before but I will definitely use it again and again. The food is delicious. Everything tasted so fresh and it was delivered promptly. Thank you Asiana.

We’ve ordered from here multiple times before with no problem, but tonight we ordered a Lamb Biriani and a Lamb Saag and it was terrible. The Lamb in both was rock solid, totally overcooked, and the saag was so salty, it tasted like it had been made with seaweed not spinach! We phoned to tell them and they just said the Lamb is hard because it’s cooked in a tandoori oven!! They offered us 20% off our next order, but we won’t be ordering from there again!! Very disappointing

hasnt bloody arrived after ordering as soon as they opend will never be using this resturant ever again try to ring throught to see whats going on phone line is constantly busy shows that they dont care at all about there paying customers i was told via email from the resturant it would be with me within 1 hour been waiting for over 2hours now still no food this place should be shut down

Ordered a couple of Tikka Wraps with Chips and chicken Korma. Had previously and big filling portions on the wraps. This time was around 20g of chicken tikka chopped into ridiculous small pieces. No value for money at all being £7.95 EACH

Absolute day light robbery. Charge £5 delivery charge for a 2.6 mile round journey. Our Chinese, who is further away, charges £2 for the same journey. You won't be open much longer ripping people of Pontypool like this. You should be ashamed and seek forgiveness 😡😡

Asiana is our favourite Indian restaurant in Pontypool. The gentleman that serves us is always friendly and accommodating and the food has always been delicious. As a vegetarian, my favourite dish from there is the aloo gobi 🤤

This restaurant I believe? is under new ownership, at least over the last 18 months, that I've used the takeaway and collection service. Throughout the lockdown period, there food, and service for takeaway only, has been outstanding. 10 out of 10 each time, looking forward to when you, or the public, are in a position to sit down and eat indoors. Saturday night service was quick and could pick up in 15 minutes.Really friendly service.Covid rules were in place so all safe and contact less.Food was piping hot and very tasty. Very consistent and a bonus as on Just Eat for ease of paying and getting delivered.Would recommend.

ordered lndian tonite onion bahjee were rock hard and very dry chicken pakora the batter was very soft not crispy very dissapointed with this food worse one ive had in a long time please dont let your standard slip

My partner had finished a 12 hour shift at the hospital, so I ordered my meal at 19:22 and was told it would be 1hour and 30minutes, which was fine. After 1 hour my partner rang just to check and the boy said it would be another 30minutes. At 21:50 my partner phoned and asked how much longer the order would be and that if it was going to be this long he wouldnt of ordered. The boy turned around and said do you want to go on the baned list.. This is shocking customer service! Always have had lovely food but unfortunately we won't be ordering again as I don't believe customer should be treated this way.

Used Asiana on Just Eat. A really refreshing change for a really tasty food. My wife and I loved the quality. Would recommend.

The owner is so friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty and delicious. However you stick to the carpet near the bar and the Lino in the toilet.I would say that they both need replacing as a matter of urgency as they are absolutely filthy.

The Korma wasn't very good and my Tikka Masala was spicy with far too many onions not the nicest. Won't be returning

Called into Asiana on Saturday evening 10.30pm after a few drinks only to be told they were closing. We were gutted.....but the extremely helpful manager and friendly staff said they could do us a quick takeaway meal if we didn't have lot of complicated sides which would take a while to cook. We asked for chicken madras and rice - grateful of anything. They also threw in some poppadoms and pickles. rushed home to tuck in. Well felt I had to leave this review as it was GORGEOUS, the chicken was so tender and tasty and the sauce yummy and extremely fresh tasting.Thank you so much Jay and staff. We have used you a few times now and have always been very impressed. We have recommended you to family and friends and hope your business continues to do well in Pontypool, as the town desperately needs it. Please order from them, you wont be disappointed.

We've got a local favourite but couldn't be fussed going to get money so used Just Eat and Asiana.Always a punt when using a new place but actually super happy with the food quality and also that they did a beef Vindaloo curry.Wife said chicken Makhani chicken was amazing.Would recommend.

I am a regular diner and take away eater.I have tried most Indian restaurants in the area but find Asiana to be the best. The food is truly fantastic with very friendly staff. Superb.

We were staying nearby to Pontypool and needed a meal. We arrived at that end of town and saw Asiana and I checked out the Trip Advisor ratings and thought OK, we'll give it a go and were glad we did. The entrance isn't the most inviting but once downstairs we were welcomed and seated.The service was great and the food was EXCELLENT!

After deciding to eat only vegan food I asked what they could do. I was told that they would prepare whatever they could for me from scratch-the owner could not have been more friendly or accommodating.I have had several takeaways and visited the restaurant with friends and the food has been fabulous-the vegetable jalfrezi is up there with the best Indian meals I have eaten.(Pre-vegan and in India included).

Ordered on just eat and delivered within an hour.Our first order from Asiana.Would like to say this was first class food from poppadoms to main course.Had used another favourite in Pontypool for years but quality had gone down hill. This wasn't the case for Asiana.Would thoroughly recommend and will be using again.

Have eaten both takeaways and sit down meals here and always enjoy it. Lots of choice and food is always tasty. Owner is very friendly and always looks after us when we visit. Great local Indian!!

This little place turned out to be quite a little gem ... very friendly owner and food was absolutely terrific ... so good we both ate there 3 times in 4 days ... great quality , well cooked authentic “Indian “ food ... as someone who travels every week it’s pretty rare to find somewhere where the quality was such a high standard ... definately. Visited on my own whilst working away, a bit quiet but Tuesday nights usually are, plenty of people buying takeaway was a good sign. Sheek Kebab starter was very good, succulent with well accompanied salad and beautiful yoghurt based side sauce. Chilli Chicken main was simply outstanding, hot but not to the detriment of taste. Good naan bread. Kungfisher on draught made the perfect liquid.

despite the rumours i have heard about this place i have always had a good eal here the place did go down hill abit when tam left but has since improved. This restaurant has always been a staple in pontypool and was the best when mr roof was running it.

Had a fab night tonight at Asiana. The food was spectacular with such generous portions and the staff couldnt have been more pleasant and accomodating! This is my new local favourite Indian and will be returning soon. Takeaways will be must too. The manager is such a lovely person , i wish them all the very best and every success with their new restaurant. Highly recommend.

I visited here with a family of 6 for a evening meal and the food was excellent and the staff were so freindly and I would highly recommend this Indian cuisine.The staff made us feel very welcome when we arrived and we all loved the food and had a very enjoyable evening and we will definitely be going back here again and there is also large public car park at the back of the Indian cuisine for customers to use.

Pretty sure I had the wrong curry supposed to be medium but my mouths on fire! Arrived an hour late!

Delivery was 25 mins late, they forgot one tub of rice ( which i paid for) And the curry was too watery.

Good food always well prepared and packed. Delivery time is always an issue. If the time on just eat is unachievable alter to suit the individual.

Great food, attentive staff, not overbearing, very enjoyable evening, music played just at the right level for conversation.

Not only was the food immensely late.. i left a note in the order to send delivery driver round the back. Rang the take away to confirm he wont go to the front as i wont hear him. Rang again to chase up the order. Mentioned the back again.... and surprise...the driver rang the front door. Had no change on him. My lamb balti had exactly 2 pieces of tough meat. The rest was vegetables. Safe to say I wont order again.

when the food eventually turned up over 1hr30 mins after it was ordered, it was stone cold, it was an incomplete order and it tasted absolutely disgusting,the only upside is i will not be re-ordering from here again! did i forget to mention the hairs in my korma!!
