Fantastic! Place is lovely. Staff were attentive and friendly. We had 3 full breakfasts, a pot of tea, served in a lovely vintage cup and saucer, and a latte. Service was great and the food was hot, fresh and delicious. Great portions, we did want cake, but didn't have room. Toilets were clean, loads of parking too. Can't ask for more really. Will defo be back for cake, which also looked delicious!

Called in by accident from the outside we could not tell if the place was open only realised it was when we saw too ladies enter. If it is busy I would not advise anyone who cannot climb stairs to go, they do have a lot of tables on the lower level. The food was good but nothing outstanding a toasted sandwich with salad and tea for two for nearly £20 which I would say is the going rate these days.

Lovely environment and a nice buzz about the place. The staff were super friendly and very efficient! We both ordered the full breakfast and found it to be tasty, well cooked and to be honest, we couldn’t finish it all! The portions were very generous. Nice to see the effort made here for example in the teapots and lovely cups and saucers and although we were too full to try it the cakes looked delicious. Easily accessible and very dog friendly - Nev enjoyed his sausage! Highly recommended and will definitely be back :)

As you walk in you immediately appreciate the beautiful building, sympathetically restored. As it was half term, the cafe was extremely busy with a lovely buzz. Although busy, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and pleasant greetings. There is plenty of choice on the menu from soup, a variety of sandwiches/wraps to salads and baked potatoes, to name but a few of the options! As my friend and I had visited quite a few times before, we knew the portions were extremely generous so opted to share a sandwich in order to have one of the beautiful home made cakes. The bread was fresh with a substantial filling. This was followed by a slice of carrot cake and lemon cake- delicious! We also appreciated the big pot of tea which meant we were able to have several cupfuls each, all in beautiful china teacups. In my opinion, the food is very reasonably priced and we are already looking forward to our next visit!

This is a wonderful cafe. It is a converted chapel, which has been done excellently. It is a five minute walk from the Pontcysyllte aquaduct. There is a good size car park there and they charge £2 to park ,but free if you eat or drink in the cafe. It can be very busy as they do lunches and afternoon teas. There were a group of people on a table near us and the afternoon tea looked amazing. All homemade . We had tea in porcelain teapots and china cups. Really traditional. I had carrot cake which was delicious and my husband had a scone with jam an cream . All the cakes looked delicious. There are lunch items like ham egg and chips and sandwiches etc. I wish I lived nearer to visit often .

Visited the area today to walk the canal and fortunately also a boat trip across the viaduct. Looking for somewhere for lunch and pub appeared closed spotted the tea rooms opposite so decided to give it a try. Oh how pleasantly surprised we were. Out of season on a Tuesday expected it to be deserted but had a good amount of visitors to create a nice atmosphere. Really friendly and happy staff. Chose toasties with chips (my husband was delighted not to be forced to have yet another compulsory salad garnish). Both of us were well impressed in the well filled toasties (tuna and cheese/ham). Chips were lovely and chunky and plentiful. Together with a pot of tea for 2 (which was big enough to give us 3 cups each) all for the very reasonable price of just over £17. Thank you so much everyone we will definitely look forward to a return visit. Sorry no photos taken as were too busy enjoying the food.

Called in here for a light lunch after visiting the viaduct and paying for parking. The staff were friendly and the cafe welcoming. The food took quite some time to arrive, whereas the tea for two arrived immediately. Staff were mostly wearing masks incorrectly, especially in the kitchen where food was being prepared.

I have been here a quite few times over the last year or two. Visually it is a reconditioned chapel, tastefully done. The menu is simple, but the food is very good. Always well presented, and good size portions. Personally I have recently been enjoying the burgers on offer. They are nice thick and juicy. The staff have always been helpful and chatty. The homemade cakes are certainly a thing to look forward to when we visit. The traditional teapot and cups that come with ordering a tea, actually adds a nice retro feel to what is a modern tearoom set within the great history of the building and the local area. The combo of old and new really makes this a interesting place to visit. The only thing that would be helpful would be some form of baby change facility. That said I will continue to visit here regularly. If you are in the area, you should definitely visit .

We visited the tea room on Saturday 24 July for breakfast after a nice walk along the canal. Lucy was our server and was really polite, professional and friendly. The breakfast was lovely and the service was brilliant. We live locally and visit the tea room frequently and are always impressed. Thank you - especially to Lucy who was absolutely brilliant.

Reserved a table between 12-12:30 as we came from far to have a meal for my boyfriend birthday. Arrived and were told food is only served at 1 but nothing was said on the phone when booking. We didn’t mind and with 45 mins to wait we wonder around town for a bit. Got there me and my partner sat down after asking if we could sit down anywhere. After 30 mins of waiting we went up and asked if we had to order there and were told yes as it was busy (which no one warned us about). When we went to order our lunch we were told that the food from the menu was going to take ages because of the queue already in the kitchen. When asked how long if it was going take as it was likely to be 2/3 hrs at that rate, to confirm the waitress went to ask the boss when she rudely answered back saying she didn’t have the time to think about that nit answering the waitress. First and last time, wouldn’t advise anyone to eat here.

Beautifully run family pub. Made to feel very welcome any day of the week. With a stunning beer garden and family staff it’s a must go to in North Wales. Surrounded by history it’s located right on the WELSH border. Highly recommend Be careful on the pool table though Very competitive and there can only be one champ 🏆

We ordered 60 cup cakes for a work event to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness day. We were given options for the decorating and decided on 50/50 pink frosting and some with the breast cancer logo of the pink ribbon. The cakes were divine, so happy and they were delivered right on time. We also ordered a specialty Victoria Sponge which we raffled as a prize, I didn’t win it sadly so I can’t comment on the taste but it looked divine and was in a gorgeous presentation box with pink ribbon. Thanks Emzcakes for making our event extra special.
