I was a fan of Poncho 8 for a long time. Their spicy pork Burrito was a Regular Friday treat. Having visited today Poncho 8 is no longer one of the places that I will recommend to visiting friends and colleagues. Today’s Burrito was a massive disappointment. The staff were glum and unhelpful, not a smile amongst them. The burrito was half the size of past Burrito with very little content a complete disappointment. Poor value for money... Poncho 8 has more dropped off a cliff than let its standards slide. Poncho 8 are putting profits ahead of the product they provide :(. Avoid! Many more better places to eat in London.

This Mexican fast food outlet is clearly very popular with the city lunch crew, and with good reason. Eat in, or take out, it provides a delicious, nutritious, individually tailored product for people on the go. We were very happy to be able to get a seat at the Queens Head Passage outlet recently. Recommended.

Simple pseudo-Mexican. Good ingredients, but it really disappointments me that they are messy putting the dishes together - throwing them in a pile. I have eaten there 15 times and it almost universally true.

I don't normally post negative reviews, however I feel I must post this in protest. I went to an old favorite for lunch this week. I eat there regularly, if infrequently (I am doing well with bringing my lunch in). I was really, really disappointing; staff were glum, fatty steak with lots of gristle (used to be amazing steak) and half potions of everything. A miserly pinch of cheese compared to the previous generous handful. It was the same for the same for each ingredient. The end product was almost half the size of last time I went. (there is a separate discussion about portion size but that for another day). I felt cheated. I went for a treat and left sorely disappointed. it appears that management are "killing the golden goose" in trying to squeeze short term profits out of, what was once, a very popular outlet. Judging by the lack of queue, at what should have been a very busy time, others feel the same. A next door establishment another personal favorite had a queue put the door (if you like falafel and hummus go early). Sadly I forecast a self fulfilling downward spiral unless management re-evaluates and rectifies, and rapidly. Unfortunately it too late for me after breaking trust like that. I am now in the market for a good burrito treat not too far from the office... (ps despite the gristle and small portion size the burrito was still tasty)

Clean, quick, tasty burritos, tacos, and salads. Build your own with your choice of beans, rice, meat, sauces. Great choice for a warm lunch on a rainy London day.

Being a big fan of burritos I was excited to try Poncho. However it was a real disappointment. The service was poor with no one working looking in the slightest pleased to be there. When making the burrito they were unbelievably stingy with ingredients meaning you end up with the smallest burrito I have seen. Finally when eating the burrito it was cold! Will not be returning.

There are quite a few burrito type chains around London and I had not yet tried this one. I decided to try a nacho box with pork and then we went through the other fillings. I had the spicy version of everything they did and yet when it was finished it wasn't really spicy at all. I am glad they had chilli sauce on the tables because then I could up the heat but it was quite bland also so I will not be going back

A busy day meant I arrived a St Paul's for meeting a little early and in need of a quick feed. Spotted Poncho 8 and being a big Mexican food fan this was the place for me. These type of places can be very hit and miss but this was a hit! Great tasting food great value and quick service. William be back yum yum.

One of the best burrito places despite the extra £1 for Gauc. Nacho box is something a bit different and worth a try.

We were very hungry after our first morning of self-guided tour of London so we stopped off at a small burrito place to have lunch. We had two tacos (barbacoa & chorizo) and 2 sets of nachos (barbacoa & carnitas). All were very tasty!

I went into Poncho as it was the least busy joint at just after 1 pm in Paternoster Square. Ordered a Chicken burrito priced at £6.15 but by the till the price had reached £8.15. I had ordered one extra topping for £1 but it looks like another was also added. Not very impressed and I would have walked out and left the whole thing without paying had I not been pushed for time and hungry. Tasty yes but the whole pricing strategy left a nasty taste and I would not go back.

This a regular spot for me for a work lunch! Always a great visit, fast service and really good tasting food. The pork is amazing and the hot sauce is definitely necessary!

Everything has gone downhill at this place, including the customer service which is pretty non existent now. Yes, granted they are always busy at lunch but you shouldn't let your standards slip, which is what has happened steadily over the past few months. Rude staff, very little care taken with your food, rushing...just not great

Visited here for a lunchtime burrito. Service was quick, but the food serving bowls looked dirty, and the portions were quite small compared to say Benito's Hat or Tortilla for the same price.Spicy sauce had a nice heat, but overall the burrito was a poor substitute for that offered by the competition, and with my concerns over food hygiene, I don't think I'll be back.

I am a customer of this since it opened and visit almost every week. The quality and service is becoming worse every time I go their. Today it was so pathetic I though I should put it on tripadvisor. Their model depends on the person serving listing to the customer instruction. It seems the new team they have don't really understand what they are told. They started putting random things not only on my food also on the food of next person. When I pointed out that they manager lady rudely confronted me of wrong doing. There food is also becoming tasteless.

Visited at lunch time, the queue moves pretty quickly, which doesn't leave you time to mention to the various servers you encounter that the tiny amount of cheese etc they're putting into your burrito isn't sufficient. I had the Picnic For One which is two mini burritos with nachos/salsa and a soft drink. The burritos were ok (really mini) but you can see that the servers have been told to use very little ingredients. The nachos taste like Sainsbury's Basics and the salsa looks like dirty water with a few herbs thrown in. Don't think I'll be spending £6.50 on this. Oh and if I had wanted guacamole that would have been an extra £1. No thank you.

I had the salad box with chicken and sides which was lovely and incredibly tasty. I also tried a gluten free chocolate brownie which was delicious. Gets really busy during lunchtime and the poor staff are sweating behind the counter

A few things they do right when making the Burrito:1. Rice: They use long grain basmati, which has more flavor2. Meat: Chicken well marinated and grilled (Small pieces means flavor reaches deep), pork well shredded. 3. Sauces: Excellent, spicy and havent been able to replicate that great flavor elsewhere. 4. Quantity: Little more than required - the way it should be. Summary: Little else to get right. Part of the weekly ritual.

I love a burrito but I thought this was fairly average in comparison to Daddy Donkey or Chilango. To be fair I visited 30 mins before closing so maybe it was a bad time to visit.

Had a chicken burrito with tomato/brown rice, salad, guacamole, chickpeas and sauce - very nice flavour and fresh ingredients. I liked chicken burrito than barbacoa (beef). I never tried skinny/nacho box. Check your bill for discount for next visit.

I tried this place out yesterday for lunch and frankly was a bit disappointed at the size and flavour, particularly given the price. There are plenty of other tastier wrap places in the vicinity of St Paul's. Wrap it Up on Bow Lane is particularly good value.

It doesn't have an authentic Mexican feel to it but then again, Burritos are not Mexican so it makes it unpretentious!Very good flavour and very flexible on the order and also friendly staff. Nice and spicy (when you want it to). It also travels well... had mine about 45 mins later and it was still great!I would still toast it once it is ready to go so that the flavours combine a little more but this is not customary and I might suggest it next time I go in ;)Highly recommended!

El mejor burrito en el oeste (minster): servicio siempre amable y comida sabrosa. Definitivamente lo recomendaría! No esperaba tanto de lo que había oído sobre esto.

Do NOT buy from this place. The food quality is very poor. Meat portions on burritos and boxes are very stingy to push for people to pay for a double portion. If you have allergens then tough luck because staff handles ingredients without washing hands or changing gloves. Not only that but also the staff is very rude and can barely speak basic English. Terrible excuse for Mexican food and not even fairly priced

Came here for lunch. Service was very quick, food was delivered within 10 minutes of entering. I had the el pastor tacos. I felt that although the flavours were good the meat was quite dry and not as great as similar tacos I have had elsewhere. It was an ok lunch with no major issues, but I’m not enthused to come again
