We used to go to Sowa but haven't been to this new incarnation. Luckily we had booked as it was very busy on the Saturday evening. We both had the duck which was served with a cold beetroot salad and pierogi - we didn't have a starter so we had enough room for dessert. The food was with us within 10 minutes despite the waitress saying it may take longer than usual. The food was beautifully presented and was delicious. We had a side of fried cabbage but we hadn't realised it contained bacon which we don't eat. For dessert we shared cheesecake and a meringue roll, both of which were lovely. Overall the food and service were great and the premises are much more spacious and comfortable than at the old restaurant.

Good polish food, shame about the Borscht, which was a lump of mash potato covered in a clear beetroot “consommé” from a tin or packet. True borscht is made from a variety of vegetables and pork sausage, this had none of these and was tasteless. Otherwise the Pierogi were excellent.

We went to Polka on Saturday, The starters and Pierogi were very good. However we were very disappointed with our main courses .I ordered the beef stew but I received pieces of chopped dry beef with some vegetables. A stew is a meat served in gravy not what I was served . We ordered some fried cabbage ,we got sauerkraut. Our guest ordered a pork cutlet but was served a pork schnitzel .The other mains, beef roulade and loin of pork were very dry and tasteless .I must emphasize I did not complain there and then as my wife and I were entertaining our 2 guests for the first time and did not want to spoil the occasion. We live nearby and were hoping Polka might become one our regular restaurants but unfortunately I regret to say I do not think we will be back.

Great wild boar perogi ( dumplings) , Polish beer and outside table. Try the poppy seed cake and a coffee for elevenses! A worthy successor to Sowa! A favourite with the local Polish community already

Our welcome was very professional, our table for two was in a quiet corner where we could chat. My companion chose pork sausage made in their own kitchen accompanied by lentils, and I had a little taste and found it delicious. My own meal was cubes of beef with beetroot mash, which was presented beautifully on the plate and equally mouthwatering. We shared a dessert of millefeuille, also five stars, along with the brilliant service, making Polka Kitchen a must! Ivor

We'd worked out hard earlier and wandering around Ealing's Dickens Yard area of restaurants rather hungry, we saw this new eatery - which has moved from nearby Bond Street only a month ago. With a desperate need for heavy east european food we had to try it. The interior is lovely, bright with comfortable booths and regular tables. The service by young Polish speaking servers is cheerful and pleasant. We tried the Cucumber soup - a wonderful hot concoction which tasted much more Lemony than cucumbery. The dumplings/Pierogi were rather bland, but we found that by putting them in the soup they turned out very tasty. Had the pock schnitzel with sauerkrout and mash and the special of the day which was chicken breast with red cabbage. We ended with two ice cream sundaes. All was terrific in terms of quality and quantity. Next time we are "starving" we'll treat ourselves here again.

I enjoy coming here and to its predecessors (Sowa/Magnolia). Same management. Love the food. Shame they don’t do the real fruit kompot anymore as I used to look forward to drinking it. Pierogi have jumped in price and need to be seasoned more as have become bland over time. Overall, yummy food and service with a smile.

I had a lovely time at Tapinos tonight. The food was delicious, my favourite the batas bravas and chorizo paella! Really warm and cozy atmosphere. We were served by the owner and he was so kind to us.
