Point Blank Shooting in Manchester

So…… may I point out I have been here before and I had a great time. Unfortunately this time around was not as previously experienced. We came in as a group of 11 for our Christmas party. We did the bottomless brunch which all in all cost us 440 pound, with 2 not turning which in turn left 80 (which was given in a bar tab). First and foremost we booked in for 12:00, a few of us were running a tad late to which we was told was not acceptable and there was no movement for a 10 minute lateness. (This I can handle it’s our own fault)….. with that being said you’d like to think that drinks beers cocktails etc would have been ready on entry for everyone who came. Unfortunately this was no the case, we ordered a first round of drinks which took a good 10/15 minutes to arrive, then therefore after that was told we would not be allowed another drink until we brung our first empty glass back…. To which we was then told we must order as a group to make it easier on the staff…. So in order to get alcohol from our bottles brunch we all had to finish our drinks at the same time and then sit and wait a good 10/15 minutes per round. This left us with a drink nearly every half hour on a bottomless brunch. We felt like we was being a nuisance more than anything and that we was just getting on the nerves of the staff from start to finish. The pizza took 1 hour to come after people had ordered, again I think this should have been ready on entry. The introduction to the games was very quick and vague and not everyone knew what to do as not everyone was there. It’s very unfortunate and I apologise for the bad review as I don’t like leaving them, but myself and the lads are not best pleased with the speed of the full experience as well as the way we was made to feel or treated. The drinks options could of definitely been better.

Came here for a bottomless brunch last Sunday and had a really great time! We’d never been before and didn’t fully know what to expect and it was great fun, food and drinks were lovely and we got served fast every time, would definitely recommend and thank you to Alice who explained the shooting games to us.

It feels very dated, the shooting is a bit lackluster, a bit like a Wii with a fancy gun shaped controller. The service is a bit pants too. I'd steer clear, maybe go to flight club or virtual golf instead.

Terrible booking system and even worse customer service. I made a booking 24 hours in advance through their website, which confirmed my slot but provided no way to actually pay - despite their terms stating payment is required in advance. With no payment link or follow-up communication, I reasonably assumed payment would be handled on arrival. When I showed up for my scheduled slot at 14:00 the staff acknowledged my booking but refused to honour it, saying I'd need to wait until 22:00 for the next available slot. When I explained their website gave no option to pay, the employee simply recited their terms and conditions instead of trying to help or acknowledging the obvious flaw in their system. Their current process expects customers to book online, then make a separate trip to pay in person before their actual appointment - a completely illogical and customer-hostile system. Save yourself the frustration and go to one of the other fantastic venues nearby that all have basic modern booking capabilities and staff who care about customer experience.

Bottomless brunch is a waste of money. £40 for 90 minutes with “unlimited pizza and drinks”. The service was extremely slow. In 90 minutes we had 4 drinks (just about - no pints on offer btw) and 2 pizzas between 6 which were very small and didn’t taste very good. The waitress said they could not fit more on the table which didn’t make sense as it was huge. We ordered more drinks and food 30 minutes within the time bracket and it didn’t show up. Waiter came over to say our “time was up” and if we hadn’t said we asked for food which never arrived we definitely wouldn’t have got it. Funnily enough after the complaint it came out within a minute… as if it has been sitting out. Eventually they seated us at the bar and made out like they were doing us a favour instead of serving something we’d pay for and requested an hour before. If you want to do a bottomless brunch plus activity don’t bother here.

Brilliant spot to hangout with friends and colleagues. Has perfect vibe topped with fantastic food and beverage. Highly recommend this hidden gem.

Popped in on the off chance whilst passing with my wife. They had an empty booth so sorted us out straight away. Quick safety briefing and demo and we were good to go. We had a great time so we plan on going back sometime with the kids (they are over 18) cruzcampo on draught 👍. We didn't have food as we had a restaurant booked prior to going here but the food they did smelled and looked good.

I booked this out of a last minute something to do a couple of weeks ago on Groupon , we checked all the notes before booking and saw nothing that would stop us booking other than the potential of availability, Once we booked it tells you that you can only book via email ,and that the emails are only looked at Monday to Friday but your only told this once you email , I had asked for availability on the Sunday but got a reply on Monday saying “did you get it booked” well no because my only option was email which wasn’t looked that I emailed again in the week looking to book the Sunday coming I was give 6:20 or 7:10 , I picked my time and the emails from Stella went dead , no confirmation and no response, poor service On Sunday I called after two failed attempts to book I just wanted to do it over the phone , I spoke with Alice who was very apologetic for the service I had experienced but informed me that if I sent my details through as an enquiry I could have 9 o’clock and still use my Groupon GREAT NEWS So after an unsuccessful taxi journey we arrive 11 minutes late to be told by the First Gentleman “I can’t see your booking and the second one who came and seen me 5 minutes later said “ we have gave your table away” a good excuse for someone who didn’t even look for my booking , so Alice hadn’t put this booking in I don’t take away that some people have had some great experiences here But mine was wasted the taxis cost more than the experience due to the faults of staff here it’s not worth my time and will seek a refund from Groupon

A huge waste of time, I tried to book three times, finally I called and spoke to someone named Alice and when I got there they told me I didn't have a reservation. In short, I don't recommend this place. A huge waste of time and terrible service.

We went for 2 hours shooting for a stag do, Really good place for this type of event. You weren’t tied down to the shooting you could drop in and out as you like allowing time to talk. Service was good as was the beer choice , would definitely go again. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there

Couldn't have been more satisfied with the service my friend and I received while visiting Point Blank Shooting. Really cool experience, and the price for the amount of fun we had was great. The interactive gun range was a blast. The guns were accurate, and we didn't experience any issues with the tech. The different game modes kept us entertained for hours, and the venue was clean and well maintained. Thank you to the team here for being so welcoming and nice, I'll be back for sure 😊 (I didn't try the food, but something smelled good)

We originally were only going onto Manchester for lunch, thought it was a waste, so randomly booked this place via Groupon. £18 for an hour with a drink for 2 people. I'm so glad we did. It was brilliant. The staff were lovely. Even from the moment I called up and spoke to Meg regarding the booking. We will definitely be returning with our friends and getting food. We didn't get food this time, but we saw the people's food next to us, and it looked amazing. I honestly can't wait to return. The team explained everything, helped when we needed it, and even gave us hints and tips. Thank you, can't wait to return.

A social for our staff was organised here by the lovely Issy. We were looked after from walking through the door with friendly faces and helpful staff. We were given a great selection of drinks in our VIP package … spicy wings and pizzas were lovely and the range was given to us for extra time. No complaints here highly recommend. The gun upgrade also well worth it ! Loads of fun Thanks Point Blank x x x

We went to Point Blank for first time Sunday, 4 of us. Had a great time, very helpful staff, really good 'shoot 'em up adventures' to play, good selection of very authentic weapons to choose from, definitely recommend the place.

We went as a couple as it was off peak, used one of the ranges plus had a couple of drinks, great for a date day

We booked Point Blank for a work's party and it was a great night. Point Blank were extremely accommodating they let us come early to put some decorations up and organised a shooting tournament for us. Issy was extremely helpful and friendly, would highly recommend!

First time here and won't be the last. A warm welcome by the excellent staff who explained how to set-up the shooting system, after that away you go to enjoy the rest of your day drinking and eating while shooting zombies or shooting your way through a house clearance. Fab place in Deansgate! I’ve been twice with work colleagues at lunchtime. The service is great. They offer good gluten free options (the pizza is sooo good). I’ll be visiting again soon!

Had a great night out with the team shooting targets and drinking. My second time coming, 3 of us in total for 2 hours. The time really did go by quickly when we were there, with the staff assisting on where to go next to continue the night. We didn't order food so cannot comment on that.

I came here for my boyfriends birthday. It honestly exceeded my expectations! Joe gave a clear explanation of the games and how the shooting system worked. We both had so much fun playing co op games alongside versing each other. Our bartender was joe who was also amazing, answering any questions alongside even offering to tweak a drink for us (making a mojito a raspberry one). Would definitely recommend

We have recently went for my stag do with 14 of us attending, We had 2 booths together and booking the gold package we were given so much food ! :D Big Shout out to Issy as her customer service is top level and will definitely go back in the future.

This isn’t somewhere I would have picked out to visit, but my brother got me a voucher for my birthday. As part of the briefing, the team member kept warning us about how much we’d have to pay if anything got broken, which wasn’t exactly the most cordial of introductions. Our group of three consisted of Pops (60s), brother and me (20s)- perhaps we gave off destructive vibes? The games- a mix of single and multiplayer- were very Windows XP: they looked as if they had been built overnight by an amateur game developer. There were about 10 in total. I got bored of each one after about five minutes. I have no interest in guns, so the ability to ‘upgrade’ your weapon that’s used to fire pretend bullets at a screen bemused me. Don’t get me wrong: I love arcades and shoot ‘em ups like House of the Dead, so- done right- Point Blank could have been something I loved!

13 of us on a Stag do, very accommodating, great value for money and all members enjoyed the activities. Pizza was unreal 🍕 to top it off, football was on the tele too ⚽️

I was kinda disappointed in this place, it’s advertised as a restaurant/bar with bright atmosphere that you can shoot and eat etc but when we got there it’s quite a dark dingy place and the menu is literally bar snacks, the game system has very limited games and even more limited multiplayer ones, they also try to upgrade you to rifles for £15 which is absolutely pointless as the games don’t support and fully automatic shooting so you are literally paying to hold a bigger rifle that shoots the same as the pistol, the games sometimes suffered from delays and lots of shots show but don’t register, may be good for someone who’s never played games before but for anyone with any game experience or shooting experience it’s a hard pass.

Brilliant time again with the kids. The pizzas are fresh and far better than the big names. We got the gun upgrade this time. Although my 8yr old was too small too use them me his mum an his big brother had a great time on them. Me and the missus will be back for the bottomless lunch. The young lad was brilliant. Not 1 complaint

Great place for a few drinks and games! We didn't try the food as we was just drinking and got sidetracked! However the food looked great (seen other tables order) Great service, all the staff working on 2/3/24 were fantastic. Very attentive and helpful! The prices are reasonable and work out cheap for larger parties! Will definitely be returning in the near future

One of the most fun nights I’ve had in a while and I didn’t even go on the shooting range. The staff were absolutely hilarious but also really kind and helpful. Always looking out for your needs. The food while being what it says on the tin was really nice, I would love to see more variety in the future like I think some fried chicken options would go really well and definitely adding fries on the menu. The cocktails were mad expertly even with the cocktails that I ordered with ingredients that I do not like still tasted amazing.

We booked for a group of 30 for our belated Christmas Party and got a pizza buffet, drinks tokens & 2 hours shooting. From arrival the staff were super friendly, gave enough information on how to use the ranges/ change games etc and then let everyone crack on. The drinks tokens were dished out so everyone could just go to the bar as they liked and the pizzas were delivered to all the booths in rotation. The food was great- exactly what we needed to line our stomachs for the night ahead and the whole time we were there the staff were great. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for something different to do that isn't just going out drinking! Will be back, again!

Had a really good time here yesterday, wish we'd booked for longer than an hour. We were late arriving due to not realising it was lunar new year and the road closures / traffic in the city centre. Only one of our group got there for the start time and they actually said they could delay our start by 15 mins for no charge. We didn't expect this but we're very grateful. Had previously seen some reviews on here about poor service so was actually worried us turning up late would maybe mean they cancelled our booking entirely or something but I was really pleasantly surprised by how they had handled it. The shooting itself was lots of fun. We'll definitely be going back.

Came here again for our staff night out again because of how good it was last time. It's really good fun and the very lovely staff do a really good job of easing you into it. The booking was handled by Isabel who was more than helpful.

Fantastic experience. We really enjoyed it and the cocktails are delicious. Food is also reasonably priced, we had nachos and pizza, very tasty for what they are. Staff were very welcoming, accommodating and friendly. I'll definitely be returning to take aim again.

Went here for my birthday as wanted to do something different. There was 15 of us and from my initial enquiry with Issy, both in phone and email, she was so helpful and accommodating. The staff was also very nice on site and the experience was so much fun with all people in the group enjoying it so I would say anyone would enjoy this experience

Me and my partner celebrated our anniversary here with a groupon voucher. Upon arrival we mentioned it was our anniversary in a casual conversation, and they went above and beyond to accommodate us. We got a bigger gun for free, and we were allowed to stay for longer than initially allocated. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Environment was clean and very casual, we had a great time and hope to come back again! Didn't have any food but the drinks were reasonably priced and well-made.

Food was awful Games were okay but without any force feedback it doesn't feel like shooting. It's not come vary far since my old NES.

Gosh; not sure where to start, so here's my list: No sound dampening, so everywhere you go you will hear LOUD gunshots frequently. Loads of meaty options for toppings on pizza. If you're veggie, you're stuck with plain. The screen was not configured properly so wasn't accurate and frequently needed recalibration and still didn't work. The projection from the screen also wasn't calibrated and was blurry anywhere apart from the centre of the screen. There are no real 2 player games, at least not simultaneously. The computer only recognises how many people are playing as one person and doesn't differentiate between who shot what. There are some games that get around this by getting you to shoot particular targets if you are different players. Cocktails were excellent; they lacked the ingredients to make half of what was on the menu though. Overall, this just felt like a cheap, yet overpriced low-res arcade experience. Point Blank on the original PlayStation was, in every way, a better experience.

I would give a 1 star just for the rudeness we encountered from the guy at Reception! This happened at around 1pm on Saturday 30th December. My self and my husband was having a very rere date day due to us having 8 month old twins.We had a fantastic time at roxy ball room next door when we had finished our games in there we saw point Black when we walked out. It says on the outside "come in for a free demo" we knew what point black was but had never seen it only heard about it from friends so we decided to nip in to have a look. We walked down the stairs and it was pretty empty (one group at one booth) the guy at reception asked "can I help you" to which my husband said "we have just come down to have a quick look, we have never been before so wanted to see before we booked" the guy replied "not much to see, there is a wall there, a wall there and a bar there" WOW WE WAS SHOCKED! That's just rude if you ask me and certainly put us off ever booking! What we was hoping for was more of a, ok yeh so these are the booths, these are the guns you get so much time and ee have different games! For a place that was empty on a Saturday afternoon I now completely get why if the staff are talking to people like that! Even when we walked out he didn't say anything NOTHING!. Just thought I would let people know how rude the staff are and I for one will certainly not be booking at point black manacher deansgate any time in the near future!.

I had an exceptional experience at Point Blank Manchester. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our visit was enjoyable, providing excellent service throughout. The tasty food and extensive selection, coupled with efficient table service, added to the overall positive impression. The spacious bar accommodated a large crowd comfortably. Additionally, the virtual gun games were a highlight, offering fantastic entertainment for all. Highly recommended for a memorable outing.

We'd struggled to find the place its signage needs work we arrived soaked and freezing but quickly made to.feel welcome and comfortable drinks selection where great and every memeber of the team was freindly and knowledgeable even though we where the last booking of the night looks.like.theud had a long hard day but they still helped.us lots . Had a good evening. Although we did the £40 each package 2 hour shoot food and 2 drinks pers person drinks limited menu not enough food for the party size. Hand guns come free but bigger guns are £30 extra would have been nice to know before hand. 30 minutes after leaving we received a phonecall about an unsettled bar tab that was not ours !

Loads of fun, especially if you are a fan of light gun games like time crisis. The staff were fantastic and made us feel super welcome. The guns are converted airsoft guns and so have a real weight and feel to them. The only improvement is to the games themselves, both players share ammo so when one of you hits reload neither of you can shoot. Unsure if this problem is an easy fix or if the company who makes the games needs to implement that change. In any case playing 2 player zombies is great. Our group mainly stuck to target shooting which is 1 player at a time, competing for the quickest time. Food is also good, we had some nachos that were tasty. Good selection of drinks as well. All in all we had a great time and would highly reccomend!

Good fun for all ages and abilities. I went here for my birthday and had a great time. There was around 8 of us and it allowed for everyone to have multiple turns. The staff were excellent and kept out drink orders coming. The activities and shooting games were fun and challenging but not to a point where you are left feeling out of your depth. The music was really good and all in all I enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely return.

Works Christmas doo. Food was great but shooting not for me, just my personal opinion. Nice enough venue just to dark and a little noisy. Suits 20/30 Yr old but nothing more.

Booked this venue for a university reunion. It's okay. The games themselves are fun but after about 30 mins we started to get a little bored. . I think if you're in a big group it would be more fun as you would play less games during your time allocation but there were only 4 of us so we didn't need to rotate between games for very long. . Our host (I think she was called Beth) was really good and regularly popped over to see if we needed any help with the equipment or wanted more drinks. . Would I go again? Probably, but it wouldn't be something I would make a concerted effort to rebook as the novelty of the games wore off too quickly. . Tip. Don't upgrade your guns. They are a waste of time (and money). They are not as easy to use as the hand guns that are included and you will end up abandoning them.

Had a fab night well worth a visit

Not a bad place. Good music. Twas a bit indie / rock. Bit loud for my ancient ears in the bar area but it was quiter in the shooting gallery. Prices were reasonable. We got some mocktails and a couple of pizzas. Pizzas were surprisingly good and made in a reasonable time. Thin and a bit crispy, tasted fresh. Wish the menus were a little easier to read but I'm being picky. I'd have liked it if there was clear vegetarian or halal options, again, a little bit picky. Staff were really good. Professional but friendly/fun. The main feature... The booths or shooting ranges were well spaced apart from other people but there is no partition wall away from other people although I didn't feel like we needed it. Having shot a few guns in the past I was hoping to recreate that experience on a toned down scale. I think I probably had unfairly high expectations. The guns looked, felt and weighed the part, mostly. There was no "action" on the guns and the aiming/game felt a bit like "duck hunt" (if you remember the old NES game). That being said maybe I'm just being a sore loser because my friend decimated me when I thought I would be the dogs bananas. 😜 Anything more than a handgun costs extra. There are a few games but they all feel limited. Some games are branded as 2 player but its just 1 player with 2 guns really. As each gun shares the same bullet pool and health bar so you can't accurately count your shots. The arcade machine "Time crisis" might have been better. The overall opinion from all of us was, nice gimmick and decent for some drinks but I wouldn't go again. None of us are drinkers really and if you want a shooting experience maybe consider air soft, paintball or going to a gun range abroad etc. The event was ok, the staff were great, the venue was clean and managed well.

Great fun to do with mates! A group of 3 of us went together and had a laugh. There are various game modes to try, including duo modes where you can play as a pair, and you can upgrade from pistols to rifles for an extra fee. You are given a booth to sit and share with your friends, the staff come round to take drink orders as and when you require, there is also a bar area to hang out in if you also wish. I would recommend booking in advance. They are on it with the time slots for the next bookers, so make sure you turn up on time, we unfortunately had to finish halfway through a game.

Was a brilliant activity as part of a Stag Do. Went for the 'Bottomless Brunch' (usually £35 pp) - unlimited beer, pizza and prosecco. Staff really attentive with bringing more when we wanted it. They also did a great job of explaining how to use the guns without taking up too much of the activity time. 2 for £12 cocktails afterwards a winner as well. Would definitely go again. Hoping they open one in Bristol soon!

Really surprised by all the 4/5 star reviews the place is dark, overpriced, the games are super basic nothing special and there is a lack of versus game modes so most of the time your just sat watching your friends play, they also try too charge you £10 to “upgrade” to a better gun, which realistically should just be free for a laser pointer game, £10 basically for an in game cheat which makes the game easier is just stupid. Just another Nickle and dime kinda place in manchester centre which loads seem to be cropping up recently, which you’ll go once and never return…

Really enjoyed point blank. It was our first time here, and we'll definitely be going again, fab atmosphere, staff really nice and friendly, cocktails were lovely.

The shooting games are ok but not particularly exciting. It's far too dark and the music so loud that we couldn't all hear the explanation of the games. Ordinary pizzas at £7-50 and weak, bland pale ale at £5-90, both over priced.

Great spot for a stag event. Reasonable prices for the activities and drinks etc. Food was very well priced but the quality reflects this. Not really a negative on balance but don't turn up hoping for a decent feed. It's booze, shooting, stag and hens. All in all, a great visit.

First time visiting here and it was good fun. Good cocktails. Great service Pizza was good and the tater tots too. Good location on deansgate too,right near moon under the water. Will definitely be returning

We came to visit Manchester for a celebration and managed to last minute book at 11pm as our night was coming to an end. The staff had seen our note about us celebrating a birthday and kindly offered us a happy hour of 2 for £12 cocktails! Not only this, but they gave us an extra gun option which normally customer would need to pay extra for. We were well looked after, the instructions and rules were clear and they would ensure we were comfortable and happy!

Good food for a team event, service was good and enjoyed the games on offer.
