First visit to Pobi Bakery, ordered the picnic box for lunch. Amazing, such a lovely treat. The two girls were really friendly. Would definitely recommend this bakery.

Having just moved to Witney it’s great to discover we have a proper bakery. The sour dough at Pobi is without exaggeration amongst the best I’ve had and the shortbread is to die for! All topped off by the delightful service from Amy. They produce a tight range of bakery products but don’t be disappointed if the one you go for is sold out because literally everything is excellent. Well done to the team there. They are doing a fabulous job.

Beautiful little artisan bakery with fantastic bread and cakes, local ingredients, expertly used to create the best bread I have had for years. The Cotswold Crunch is amazing, the home made cookies are huge and packed with chocolate - can’t fault the place!

I placed an order on their website for 3 picnic boxes, 6 people. The picnic box for two comprises of a set of sandwiches (sourdough bread) each (chicken mayo, chicken mayo and bacon, ham salad or mature cheddar), a drink each (dandelion & burdock, water, orange juice, elderflower), a packet of crisps each (sea salt, cider vinegar and sea salt, cheddar & onion), handful of fruit and 2 scones, jam and clotted cream. Sandwiches tasted lovely. So if you fancy a picnic I would highly recommend Pobi Bakery

James and the team put a lovely breakfast hamper together for me. Sour dough was incredible and the coffee was probably the best coffee I’ve tasted. He’s doing an amazing job with the business and I will certainly be back for more.

Pobi helped me out with an amazing array of baked treats, both sweet and savoury, to be delivered for Mother's day. Couldn't be happier with both the service they offer and their awesome baking. Hugely recommended!

This is now one of my regular places for bread. I love the Cotswold Crunch and the sourdough. A really good addition to the food scene in Witney, which has been crying out for a decent bakery.

Pobi is exactly what Corn Street has been waiting for, it's been years since the town has had a highstreet bakery. And these boys bring fire and passion. Their selection of breads has something for everyone, and folk must preorder though to save disappointment! Their sweet selection is to die for! Cinnamon buns are a Saturday morning treat each week for my wife and I. Partnered with another Oxfordshire company, Routes Coffee, who supply fresh beans; every visit is wonderfully caffeinated!

Pobi are a wonderful addition to the increasingly vibrant Corn Street. I’m always delighted to see local businesses supporting local, and this is embodied in their partnership with Oxfordshire based Routes Coffee. The excellent selection of baked goods at Pobi will ensure there is a treat to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. I highly recommend the decadent Cinnamon Buns, and of course the succulent Sourdough. You will also undoubtedly enjoy the warm welcome you receive from the staff. Thank you to Jake and James for bringing this wonderful shop to Witney.

Popped along as recommended by my daughter. Had the most delicious bacon sandwich and wonderful coffee. Had to wait for the next bread to come out of the oven so went back to collect later. Best bread I’ve tasted in ages. Took chocolate brownies home too... Absolutely delicious.... can’t wait to go back. We are not really local to the area so when lockdown eased will be back often.

An unpretentious old-fashioned pub; a rarity in Oxfordshire now. The cask Hooky is always of superior quality here and a good price

Myself and my partner decided last minute to have a date night on the 12/12/2024. We live in Churchill so very local to Chadlington, we thought we'd give the Tite Inn a go as we've only visited for drinks in the past. On entry we felt as though we were walking into somewhere that we weren't welcome, the room went silent, all eyes cast on us as if we were the King. As we awkwardly walked towards the bar we were also given the evils by the barman as a whole bar full of dogs barked at us. At this point we though "you know what, this is just what people in the rural Cotswold's are like" and we cracked on. What a mistake that turned out to be! We were bought to our table by the barman (very intense, eyed me up and down like I was a piece of meat, had eyes and a demeanor that screamed cocaine) After a 20 minute wait our server then appeared to take our drinks order. We asked "What lager do you have on tap" the waitress stuttered, looked as though she was about to have a breakdown and quickly ran to the bar. On her return she started recounting ales from the notepad which was her hand. I instantly felt incredibly embarrassed for the server as she obviously didn't know the difference between ale and lager. In order to avoid an upset we just asked for "any lager". The server was clearly new, but why wasn't she trained before dealing with customers alone? We were greeted with two Kati Patang's (Beautiful taste but not a single bubble within) As we were left to decide what to eat we started having a look around the small room we had been sat in. I can only label the atmosphere as incredibly intense. We could hear arguing, singing, and gossip from the kitchen. Notice boards has been placed right above peoples tables, so when we wanted to get the Wi-Fi password the lady sat beside us thought we were greatly invading on her privacy and in turn proceeded to stare through our souls for what felt like 10 minutes. We ordered a sharing Camembert to start, with a bowl of patatas bravas. Mains were the Fish & Chips and the Beef Burger. After about a 30 minute wait we received our patatas bravas. The only way to describe the feelings that followed was outrage, and shock. I used to frequent Spain, Patatas Bravas is my favorite dish. What we were presented with was under cooked oven baked potatoes covered in a painfully spicy marinara sauce at the price of £7. While me and my partner were discussing the spice level over the tears streaming from our eyes, the barman shouts across the restaurant "Of course its hot its just come out of the oven!" At this point he decided to walk over to our table and tell us "My boyfriends dropped your camembert on the floor, it'll be 5 minutes." Following an incredibly loud argument and a 20 minute wait from the kitchen we were presented with our £25 Camembert, with two slices of bread cut in half, no veg, nothing. To charge £25 for what we received, and the service should be a crime. At this point we didn't even feel as though we could complain, the staff clearly didn't want to be there, and also don't realize that they come off incredibly intense and threatening, particularly the barman. We waited another 30 minutes for our mains, on arrival everything honestly looked amazing, fish batter looked bang on, burger cheesy as anything, we were buzzing after our dodgy starters. Unfortunately it turned out that the fish batter was like cement, it was like eating a rock hard crumbling pastry, the ratio of fish to batter was also probably 10/90. Whoever also thought of the idea of mixing mint sauce with peas alongside battered fish needs to give their head a wobble; disgusting. Unfortunately it seems that I got off lucky! My partner took a single bite of her burger and that was more than enough for her to have to evacuate to the WC! The 'beef' burger was so over cooked that it genuinely tasted like lamb, it even smelt like lamb. What made this situation even worse is that my partner absolutely hates the taste of lamb, and thought she was ordering a beef burger! We then asked the waitress if she knew what meat was in the burger, she disappeared into the kitchen and all we heard was shouting and another massive argument brimming! At this point my partner started to see the funny side of things, were we honestly so shocked, we thought a camera was going to pop out at anytime saying it was some king of sick, twisted social experiment! Luckily, we didn't have the minerals to look the barman in the eyes and complain out of fear! The waitress hesitantly removed the service charge from our bill and we were out of there like our life depended on it! Please don't make the same mistake as we did and avoid eating here at all costs! Lovely beer though, with a top notch garden, if you can get someone that knows what they're doing. You'll also be devastated to hear that even though Clarkson's Farm is a stones throw away, you can't get any of that beautiful Hawkstone! We will certainly not be returning for food anytime soon, it seems as though the management has changed for the worse!
