First visit to Pobi Bakery, ordered the picnic box for lunch. Amazing, such a lovely treat. The two girls were really friendly. Would definitely recommend this bakery.

Having just moved to Witney it’s great to discover we have a proper bakery. The sour dough at Pobi is without exaggeration amongst the best I’ve had and the shortbread is to die for! All topped off by the delightful service from Amy. They produce a tight range of bakery products but don’t be disappointed if the one you go for is sold out because literally everything is excellent. Well done to the team there. They are doing a fabulous job.

Beautiful little artisan bakery with fantastic bread and cakes, local ingredients, expertly used to create the best bread I have had for years. The Cotswold Crunch is amazing, the home made cookies are huge and packed with chocolate - can’t fault the place!

I placed an order on their website for 3 picnic boxes, 6 people. The picnic box for two comprises of a set of sandwiches (sourdough bread) each (chicken mayo, chicken mayo and bacon, ham salad or mature cheddar), a drink each (dandelion & burdock, water, orange juice, elderflower), a packet of crisps each (sea salt, cider vinegar and sea salt, cheddar & onion), handful of fruit and 2 scones, jam and clotted cream. Sandwiches tasted lovely. So if you fancy a picnic I would highly recommend Pobi Bakery

James and the team put a lovely breakfast hamper together for me. Sour dough was incredible and the coffee was probably the best coffee I’ve tasted. He’s doing an amazing job with the business and I will certainly be back for more.

We had two picnic boxes. They were superb. The sourdough was lovely and fresh and the scones beautifully made with plenty of jan and cream. The fresh fruit in the box was a lovely touch. A good choice of drinks abs crisps. Such excellent value for money. I would recommend to anyone. It made the picnic special. Thank you Pobi.

Pobi helped me out with an amazing array of baked treats, both sweet and savoury, to be delivered for Mother's day. Couldn't be happier with both the service they offer and their awesome baking. Hugely recommended!

A visit to Pobi is a must, their Cotswold Crunch bread is absolutely delicious. They make the best cinnamon buns you’ve ever tasted. The staff are very friendly and their delivery service has meant despite shielding we have been able to continue to enjoy their goodies.

This is now one of my regular places for bread. I love the Cotswold Crunch and the sourdough. A really good addition to the food scene in Witney, which has been crying out for a decent bakery.

Pobi is exactly what Corn Street has been waiting for, it's been years since the town has had a highstreet bakery. And these boys bring fire and passion. Their selection of breads has something for everyone, and folk must preorder though to save disappointment! Their sweet selection is to die for! Cinnamon buns are a Saturday morning treat each week for my wife and I. Partnered with another Oxfordshire company, Routes Coffee, who supply fresh beans; every visit is wonderfully caffeinated!

Pobi are a wonderful addition to the increasingly vibrant Corn Street. I’m always delighted to see local businesses supporting local, and this is embodied in their partnership with Oxfordshire based Routes Coffee. The excellent selection of baked goods at Pobi will ensure there is a treat to suit all tastes and dietary requirements. I highly recommend the decadent Cinnamon Buns, and of course the succulent Sourdough. You will also undoubtedly enjoy the warm welcome you receive from the staff. Thank you to Jake and James for bringing this wonderful shop to Witney.

Popped along as recommended by my daughter. Had the most delicious bacon sandwich and wonderful coffee. Had to wait for the next bread to come out of the oven so went back to collect later. Best bread I’ve tasted in ages. Took chocolate brownies home too... Absolutely delicious.... can’t wait to go back. We are not really local to the area so when lockdown eased will be back often.

This is primarily a Bakery with Takeaway but does have two tables outside, a pleasant place to sit and watch people passing by. The staff are a delightful bunch, very friendly and helpful. The star for me is the Sourdough bread, nice taste with excellent...

A traditional boozer. Just a pub, with no food, not even crisps or peanuts. They serve real Hook Norton beer though which is well kept.

I am genuinely so upset by our experience at the Tite Inn today. More so that I had recommended it to our friends we were visiting with - one of which was celebrating her birthday - so it was very embarrassing for me too that we had such a horrible experience. We came a couple of years ago so maybe it’s under new management now? But the website and the reviews still looked good so a month ago I booked again for Sunday lunch today. My photos attached to this review show the website THIS MORNING and there was absolutely no mention of what we experienced when we arrived. On arrival, a chap, who I shortly found out was the manager, greeted us and pointed us (not showed us) to our table. There was no mention of menus, or what the process was to order food. We sat there and eventually I went and asked at the bar for menus and was told ‘it’s beef, turkey or pork’ and that was that. I asked about starters or even a menu or anything and he just said ‘that’s all we have, it’s Sunday’ so then I was really confused and asked about starters to be told really shirtily ‘there’s no room in the kitchen for starters on a Sunday’ (weirdest thing I think I’ve ever heard in a pub) and I was desperately trying to understand WHY and HOW their website stated the menu for a Sunday, with starters, mains, sides and desserts and there was nothing from the time I booked to the moment we started questioning what on earth was going on at the pub to finding this out. I then asked for the manager to discover this very rude and quite arsey chap was indeed the manager and I was keeping my voice down as there were a lot of people behind me drinking and eating but I was trying to ascertain what was going on! When I questioned the menu and the website, I was told some mental story I couldn’t make head nor tail about with reasons why the website gave essentially completely false information. Some excuse about not being able to get in touch with whoever runs the website. Then I challenged him by saying my booking had been with them for about a month with my email address and phone number to inform me of the massive change to the menu, or lack of, and was told something along the lines of ‘I can’t possibly keep track of emails/bookings for everyone!’ Really truly shocking. We had no idea what exactly came with the roast dinner (again, no menu or even a chalk board telling us anything) and when I asked, as there were no starters, were there any desserts was told essentially no to that too! ‘We can possibly get something for you’ was the response to dessert. The general attitude was appalling and the only reason we didn’t walk out was because I didn’t want to make a scene to our friends who were with us and as we aren’t locals we didn’t know where else we could go without a booking on a Sunday. There was a couple of cursory murmurings of ‘sorry’ from the manager but no offer of anything whatsoever to make it right - free round of drinks or a tiny bit off the bill perhaps? I honestly ran out of energy with the manager when I was talking to him as he was essentially arguing with me telling me the website being completely false and there being only a one course option of three meats with no more information or even price, no starter or dessert option and how disappointed I was didn’t seem to care and made me feel like I was somehow in the wrong. Really upset me and I went back to the table to my friends feeling really sad. We ordered our roast dinners, I asked for an extra bowl of veg for our dog which I would of course had paid for (last time we came they made a huge fuss of her and obliged in the extra veg) was no where to be seen. The table behind overheard and gave us their spare veg for the dog so we told the staff not to bother…they’d forgot anyway. On paying the bill, the manager seemed to be lurking in the doorway behind the bar perhaps expecting me to complain again and ask for discount and it seemed when he saw we were paying (the full and frankly overpriced bill of around £28 per head for a standard turkey or beef roast dinner - plain peas and not very appetising cauliflower cheese) he vanished without another word. Not to be seen again. I am truly shocked and disappointed by all this. We ended up asking the bar man where the nearest supermarket was for our dessert as I didn’t want another confrontation with the manager about how difficult it was to get any other course besides a bog standard roast dinner. The young waiter and the bar man were both polite and did a table check to ask if the food was ok, it was adequate (definitely not worth the price) however even if we had complained that the cauliflower cheese wasn’t particularly nice, would we have got anywhere?! Shame as you were such a lovely pub and we had fond memories from last time, you might even be able to see my previous review and see how much of a completely opposite experience we had! But no menu, one course, no real apology or any suggestion of what they could do to make it right, despite me saying we had been guided by essentially false advertising on the website really was an awful experience. I felt so sorry for my friends who had taken my glowing reviews! Whatever has happened since last time, I hope you improve. We won’t be back to find out. Your manager needs some serious training…I used to work in hospitality and never ever have I ever hear such a string of bizarre excuses to problems with no hint to compensate or even apologise properly to the clearly very upset customers!
