Only used as a place to go at the end of the night , not nice or clean, hygiene rating should be look at ,as really poor. Dirty toilets, sticky floors, dirty glasses, give the food a wide berth not good . Pub must be used for other things as not the sort of place you would go for lunch or dinner or a drink .

Not nice to be honest and polite ! Run by a person who shouldn't be allowed to run any thing,the place is somewhere low life possibly go. Trys to make a public house private so to keep out the public !!!

The Plumbers Arms Pub is a pub that I always visit on any trip over to Chester as I love going to side street pubs as they are always inadvertently great hidden gems and this pub is no exception.

We popped in early lunchtime for a couple of pints after visiting the Brazilian restraint next door. We had the whole pub to ourselves at first! I was clean and traditional and had a very good feel about it. I love pubs that feel like classic pubs and this fitted the bill perfectly!

we had seen the pub from the shopping centre several times so we went in on a Saturday evening after the races. What a lovely place! Really friendly and the food looked good, we had already eaten but wished we hadn't.

When staying in Chester'we were staying in Travelodge Chester Central and we were visiting a few of the pubs around this area' we came across this excellent little pub up a side street at the back of the Grosvenor shopping centre.The Plumber's Arms is an excellent little pub that offers an excellent beer range and a traditional food menu on offer that is good value for money.This is a pub with a very traditional pub interior with many interesting fixtures and features and a nice bar and bar area.They have an open mic night and live entertainment'also over the weekend this pub stays open very late and is used by other staff in the pubs and restaurants around Chester who fancy a drink after finishing work.We went here on our second day in Chester and it had only just opened.A friendly staff member took our order of a couple of pints of cask ales which were served in superb condition and at a very fair price.This is an excellent pub that offers great beers and is a pub that is worth visiting.Located on Newgate street.

My partner and I stumbled across this little place on the way back to our Hotel (MacDonald Blossoms) after Dinner. This is a lovely little quirky pub that is both welcoming and popular with locals. It offers a refreshingly non-chain real contemporary quirky décor and excellent beers. The people are real and so is the service. This is definitely one to visit when in Chester.

Visited this small out of the way pub in a Friday evening in August 2016 about 6pm. The bar was empty, so I got served straight away. They had a large flat screen TV on the wall showing chart music and retro 90’s music. The pub is located down a small side street off Pepper Street called Newgate Street. The street ends with the Grosvenor Shopping Centre and the Car Park entrance. The kitchen has recently been refurbished and is serving food again. It is an old fashioned traditional pub shaped in one long room, on one floor with a small outside area at the back against the City Walls.

We gave it a try, but were far from impressed,would not recommend, they have tryed cleaning it up, but think its a case of out of sight ! air fresioners not working and food has to pass toilets and people to get to you ! Also smokers have to pass kitchen to go out the back,we looked in kitchen and looked as though it could do with updating and cleaning. same person doing bar, handling cash,cooking food,and serving drink.
