Plukd in Leicester

I have been a loyal Plukd customer since day 1 for 2 reasons. 1: Big Jus, The Wing King - and worthy of the title. This is an owner operated business and the enthusiasm and passion for not only the food but also the customer service makes you feel like you part of something. . Some chicken wing loving family or something. The second reason I love Plukd is the food. The wings are excellent, always fresh and a good size too (no little niblets), the flavour options are great - plenty of variety to suit every pallet. I especially like gangnam. Mac and Cheese is top draw and Plukd scratching should be sold in Tesco next to pork scratching its that good. Finally Plukd do all you can eat events. If ever you get a chance. . You should.

Staff are very chatty and make you feel comfortable. However, I did ask for some help with what sauce to go for. I usually go to places and get the spiciest sauce and find it mild. Went for the Diablo sauce because it “is very spicy”. Got the sauce and again found it very mild. My partners sauce “buffalo” was spicier! Should have gone for the “wing sting”

First things first..... I love this place the food & owner. Nothing else like this in Leicester. Sadly the girl at the counter is too impatient, slow on her iPad and needs to explain the food and menu better to newbies - and not expect the customer to know everything just bcos she does. Sadly she takes her own slowness and lack of ability to explain and be understanding out on the paying customer. I train retailers and can spot this stuff a mile away. Not everyone is regular. It puts people off going and makes you feel like a nuisance. This is in stark contrast to the company’s social media which is full of passion enthusiasm and most welcoming. I continue to big this place up to everyone and will continue as a customer despite the poor counter service. Look forward to my next visit and continue to wish the owner and his business nothing but success.

We ordered via Owlgetit and the food was fantastic. Wings were devine, shrooms are a personal favourite and I’m not even veggie. What sets this place above any other though is the selection of sauces, whatever your taste, there is one for you. I recommend buffalo soldier. Plukd you are the food of the gods!

We were kindly invited along to a Pluk’d all-you-can-eat wings night at the Rutland and Derby by friends who are seasoned Pluk’d fans. Having never tried Pluk’d before, but being particularly partial to a chicken wing, I had no idea what to expect, and I’m happy to say I was over the moon with the offering. Several types to chose from, the wings were all freshly made throughout the night and were in infinite supply, and were of fantastic quality. The brownie topped off the evening nicely too. But the cherry on top? The Wing King. I have never before met a gentleman so charismatic and passionate about his work, with such a lovely manner and wonderful enthusiasm for wings. Safe to say we will be venturing to Pluk’d for wings as often as is socially acceptable.

I moved away from Leicester earlier in the year and honestly feel so crap that I can’t have these on a regular basis anymore. They were my favorite go-to fast food. So amazingly tasty and good quality. The plukd up fries are the bomb and the buffalo sauce for the wings is the best I’ve had anywhere. They keep adding new things to try to the menu too but their basic staple stuff is more than enough. Number one fan right here.

I visited with my husband in July after hearing lots of good things. The place is quite small and definitely has a street food feel to it, which I found quite charming, although my husband was a bit less impressed. My husband ordered the cheeky plucker meal with the kansas kid sauce and I opted for the pluk'corn with man'go not hot. Whilst the flavours are good, we both found our chicken to be dry. I think because our expectations were so high they were unfortunately unmet on this occasion.

What a great idea! All you can eat wings! Not only was I late due to running late from work but the Wing King himself welcomed me at the door and walked me to my table. He then talked me through everything and took my order as soon as I was ready. A true gentleman and excellent host. The wing selection was fantastic only matched by the quality. I easily ate my body weight in wings. A complementary sweet treat brought to every single one of us. A brilliant evenings entertainment for friends. Strongly recommend this and also I recommend just going to pluk’d when you can as they have plenty to offer!

After so many adverts and recommendations on social media, as a foodie it’s a sign to go. And boy was I glad I did! Ordered the chef special ‘cut throat’ meal deal for myself and my better half had the ‘gangnam style’ wings. Wings were spot on, sauces amazing, good seasoning on the fries and the raisin cake with pineapple glaze wasn’t too shabby either! People - eat the food here as fresh and as hot as you can get it. You will not be disappointed. The guy here is passionate about what he’s doing, so if you don’t listen don’t complain. Open a restaurant soon.

had a small issue with the wings the other day but called them and they immediately replaced my food and also added an extra drink and started which was nice. the wings are really good but nothing beats the plukd fries

Absolutely love this place. Always a friendly face to great you and the food is soooo good! Loving the new menu btw guys, yummy!!

On approach the staff were all friendly and the member of staff serving had a big welcoming smile on his face and proceeded to welcome us verbally and explain what they serve and how their food is prepared. We ordered the wingman deal which is very reasonably priced considering the amount of food you get and it was ready in 10 minutes (even though there were others waiting too). The wings were almost addictive they were so tasty and the Froreo's desert was amazing. If you havn't been your missing out on literally the best wings in town! Ill be back again and again.

I called to ask a few questions and very very surprised at the dedication of the guy at the end of the phone, witty passionate and knowledgeable.

Loved this place! I went for the first time and it most definitely will not be the last!

Not much to say other than this is THE PLACE if you like your wings. All the staff here actually give a damn. The owner is spot on and deserves all success and future growth. This place in unique and I always look forward to getting food from here.

I’ve eaten here twice now and both times the food has been incredible! The quality of the meat is fantastic quality,the different sauces are like nothing I’ve ever had before and the service is wonderful. Forget everything you think you know about wings, these are a game changer!

Tried Plukd whilst working away with a colleague. Gave the wingsting wings a try and was not disappointed. Managed to eat 6 being throwing in the towel. Great service. Hopefully have time to return and try something milder! Keep up the good work Plukd.

To most of us wings are a side. You have them feature in a main meal, you have a surplus when watching the game. When there was a place dedicated to wings I thought, if they take it seriously then I should check it out. Then when they slip ‘pluk’ into all sorts of phrases and the head calls himself ‘The Wing King’ I thought to myself that they must make good wings. They really do.

Loads of good reviews on here but I don't think they're a fair reflection of the place.

Ok I’m not going to lie I met Justin (the man behind Plukd) about 10 years ago however it was not in the capacity as a chef or indeed the creator of a brand.

Best chicken wings I have had in Leicester. Staff are extremely nice and helpful. You wont find better in the city.

I would legit divorce my wife for a life time supply of Plukd wings. There really is no other way of explaining

What an amazing experience. The restaurant is nothing fancy,but it is clean and very well done using re-cycled wood.

I love these wings! I am so happy this restaurant has opened in Leicester. The staff are all nice and extremely accommodating. This will be my weekly treat!

I had 10 Buffalo wings and fries to go. The fries were great, (although would have been better wrapped up rather then left open in a paper cup) but the wings were not crispy and definitely were not very spicy. It may have been best to eat the wings on site as they may have steamed and the coating had gone soft.

Best wings in Leicester. Saw it in the paper and took a look, honestly flawless service(the guy behind the till was friendly and enthusiastic) and the food could not have been better.

Heard about plukd from a write up in the local paper, a lover of all things chicken wing I was straight down with an order.
