Amazing meal & a Must go! World class food & wines that are very hard to find anywhere. Will be back for sure and bring our friends.

Had lunch here recently, front of house attentive and knowledgeable, menu reads well. Food was a mixed bag some really tasty dishes, some not so and some overpriced for what they were. Sharing plates worked well for our table for four, we had one of each of the snacks - devilled crab sandwich was a highlight, Raddichio and goats cheese was tasty as was the chicken and morel. The chanterelles were a bit bland and the saddleback sausage was disappointing and over priced in my opinion. Its was the last course and was brought to the table 30 minutes after the previously served course. Maybe we got it on an off day, the potential was there to be great but on our lunch just fell short sadly.

Limited sharing menu with disappointing overpriced dishes. No lunchtime ambience whatsoever - we were 4 people out of 6. Broad wine selection with a knowledgeable waitress but again overpriced. Overall poor value and underwhelming experience.

Fantastic food, intricate and a great deal of attention to detail. Has a cool vibe due to its interior and great friendly attentive service. The food price reflects the quality and is worth every penny, with a great selection of wines . I couldn't recommend this place enough!

We really don’t know why this little restaurant was given a bad review as it was really lovely on every level. The food was fantastic . Lots of small tasty plates that we shared between 3 of us and we could not fault any of them. The waitress was fantastic and knew the menu and unusual wine list very well. She helped us choose a couple of glasses of great wine . It does have a cafe atmosphere which was good and it was warm and comfortable with no squashed together tables. Really hope they succeed. And another comment on the bad review ….. we are very foody people and lucky enough to eat out a lot with experience in the hotel and wine business so not amateurs when it comes to restaurants

This place is a disaster on every level. Awful decor more suited to a fast food joint, ridiculously prententious menu, terrible food and amateur service. The final straw was no coffee as the machine was broken. I cannot think whoever owns this place has any idea how to operate a restaurant. Who wants a supermarjet crumpet with dried shredder lamb and some anchovy for £14? Who would serve comte and onion custard with chilled crab? Every dish except a minuscule tartlet of chicken liver with plum jam was repellent.Avoid this place at all costs. Utterly dreadful.

Excellent food with delightful sharing plates. The madeleine with onion custard and comté was delicious as was the smoked cod’s roe. Will definitely be coming here again.

A fabulous evening at Ploussard. The food was amazing, the staff couldn’t be more helpful and the location is great. The concept of small dishes to share was an ideal way to taste even more of the menu. I highly recommend it.

We found this small and chic place in Clapham Junction called Ploussard. Thank god they opened! I’m a level 2 wine connoisseur and I’ve never seen such a variety of organic wines in one place at such reasonable prices. The tapas type of dishes were lovely and tasty. We had lunch there and came back for dinner too. The mix of flavors and special homemade sauces that go very well with the fish and meat were amazing. The service was also excellent. The team seems to know a lot about wines and food pairing as well as how to make people feel special. We’ll definitely be back to Ploussard. Thank you!

We had lots of very tasty food - especially liked the lamb and anchovy crumpet, smoked cod’s roe and cured mackerel. Quite noisy so might have been tricky to carry on a conversation if we’d been a larger group (we were two). Other than that - all good, except for the tiny writing on the menu which I struggled to read!!

A new gem of a restaurant in Clapham - exceptional food, great service, and a unique wine list. Can't wait to go back. The lamb and anchovy crumpet was the highlight!

Second thoughts are sometimes best. Ploussard’s owners Matt Harris and Tommy Kempton initially opened it as a fast food chicken joint Other Side Fried. I remember this site on the corner of St. John’s Road and Battersea Rise as a bijou furniture and design shop. It’s impressive how much design has been fitted into this small space from the sleek verticals of the shelves for wine and cider bottles over and around the serving hatch at the rear to the wine rack by the front door. Each letter of Ploussard appears in a row along one side of the room and there is just enough room to fit them all in. Ploussard itself is accessed through net curtains. It’s a small menu complimented by a choice selection of natural wines. After sharing two substantial Comte croquettes we tasted a melange of nutbourne tomatoes, ricotta cheese garlic and fried bread demonstrated the importance of provenance and fresh ingredients here. We were given a complimentary dish of crab with peppers and crackers. A special of the day was certainly the piece de resistance comprising two small fillets of turbot with thin tall broccoli spears in a sauce featuring miniature gherkins and nuts was sublime but perhaps needed to be at £32. A rhubarb and custard looked like an Easter bonnet with pink fruit and biscuit floating on creme anglaise. Ploussard barely a week or so old was already metamorphosing into a lively neighbourhood hub.

Disappointed, I looked for the 3 stars and only saw one star +. The reception was not very welcoming. Nice place but noisy. The coordinated 3-star service is not available in drafts. The dishes good.
