Beautiful food, Always friendly service and lovely atmosphere. A real gem. They love dogs too, so can always take our dog knowing he's made welcome.

Huge thanks to Tina and the team for going above and beyond at our function. Great pub food, good selection of drinks and friendly service. Thank you also for the generous buffet earlier in the afternoon and providing such lovely space for us all to gather. We couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll be back!

I am a local, this pub is brilliant in all aspects, friendly people and staff, management are fantastic, the food and beer are top quality, entertainment at the weekend is great also. I do recommend it 👍🏻 also dog friendly.

Popped in today on the way to Doncaster. We had the cheese and bacon burgers with loaded fries and it was amazing!! Best burger I have ever had!

Fancied somewhere different for lunch and stumbled upon this place. Lovely friendly staff greeted us on arrival and were more than happy to help. Food was great and the “traditional pub” atmosphere was one you don’t find very often these days. Highly recommended.

We had a party of 14 for lunch all sat together. Lots different meals ordered but all came out almost together no waiting freshly cooked delicious. Nice bar to with 60s music playing loved it. Lovely friendly Landlady. Will be visiting this pub again in not to distant future.

The Plough Inn is a lovely village pub. There is a large Lounge for dining and a nice cosy bar with a dart board and pool table. There is a good range of beers and Lager on offer including cask conditioned real ale which is expensive, Timothy tailors landlord £5 a pint. There's a really nice food menu, unfortunately we didn't have time to stop for something to eat. The pub is dog friendly, there is a really nice beer garden and covered outside seating area, large car park. We will call in again next time we're in the area and try the food.

Been a good 15 years since last in ,very nice now

This restaurant/ pub is a personal favourite of my families and mine. The vibes are immaculate, staff are incredibly friendly and kind plus the food and drinks are great. I enjoy myself every time I come here. As a result of the great vibes, we come here for every situation from events, to family celebrations to catch ups and more. This is one of the most adaptable, upbuilt and exclusive places to attend in the villages. You’ll find people come from all over to here for the above mentioned reasons.

Dropped into this lovely pub and very pleased. Reception, drink, food and staff attention was excellent.

Poor value for money. There were 4 of us. order of soup was missing from order & when it came no chunk of sourdough bread, just a slice of basic bread! Would not return.

We came here for Sunday Dinner for the first time since Tina has taken over. The food was delicious! Great portions, all meat and veg sourced locally, great price, chilled atmosphere, no long waits to be served, very very impressed!

Great atmostphere, friendly pub

Great little pub in a quaint village, with a decent garden and a bit of life to it. Dad’s choir gang meet up there after practice sometimes and they’re relatively tolerant of their occasional singing! Pool table is pretty cheap and the pints are well poured.

Took my mum here for a lovely Sunday roast on Mothersday. The food was gorgeous, with well sized portions and the staff were very attentive and gifted my mum some lovely flowers which was a great touch.

I’ve been coming to the plough for lawhile now and I must say it’s by far one of the best pub around here if not the best, I’ve never met people so friendly, they treat you like family which is very rare these days. Andy & Lynn have turned the pub into something that Cropwell has been missing for a long time, I couldn’t think of a better place to spend time with friend’s & family. 🙂 Love Gammon, Egg & Chips.

This pub makes living in Cropwell butler a pleasure! The owners are the most down to earth welcoming people and the beer choice is great. This pub has been a flop for the last couple of years and now it is back in full force!

Absolutely disgusted and disappointed in our local pub. We booked Christmas day dinner well in advance, September, but still ended up leaving on Christmas day 5hrs later with no Christmas dinner. There were no staff, nothing offered on the set menu was served,we had to pull together and set our own table for 10. Rude landlady who didn't even apologise to ourselves or the five other different families that all left without any of the five courses as promised. Christmas day dinner ruined! We were served fruit loaf with margaine as an appetizer and then Warburton cob cut into quarters to dunk in our melted cheese starter...but even worse our dinner never showed up after 2hrs later so we just left. Honestly I would never trust these again for such an important day of the year with family!

They made the best of a bad situation with unexpected staff shortages on Xmas Day. Some diners were moaning excessively and actively lying about how long they'd had to wait [arrived after our party and were moaning that they'd had to wait twice as long as we'd been there!] meanwhile we were determined to have a nice meal and a good time rather than moan. They also gifted us a bottle of prosecco for not being moaning minnies!

Booked early for Christmas dinner but pre booking administration poor. Turned up on time and left waiting in door way for 45 mins with no acknowledgement nor explanation. No spare tables and three other groups waiting. The restaurant manager blamed the staff for allocating tables incorrectly with no apology. Clearly understaffed and poorly managed. A complete and utter shambles. Christmas day ruined.

Lovely pub with pool table and darts board, got outside seating with shelter and heaters or you could enjoy the sun in the garden haven't actually eaten hear but saw food come out and looks amazing and generous portions, can't forget the polite and welcoming staff

A nicely presented and well situated pub from what I could see. I only managed a half pint before I was crowded out by a large function who filled the bar area rather than their private room at the back. For the same reason I was unable to order food from their bar menu. I finished my drink in the smoking area. Just bad timing I suppose.

Terrible meal, booked Saturday night arrived at 6.15pm still hadn't received main course at 9.45pm at which point we left. We were given all sorts of excuses but it was totally unacceptable. Other tables had been there earlier than us and hadn't got their food still.

I don't like leaving a bad review but we were really disappointed after visiting today for lunch. This is a lovely pub and the staff are friendly but the service was very slow and the food not very nice. We waiting over 40 minutes for some toasted sandwiches which weren't toasted and to be honest not very nice to eat. We ordered a second round of drinks which never arrived and we were charged for. This was taken off the bill but the poor service has put us off visiting again. A real shame.

Wonderful garden to enjoy a drink in the sun.

Lovely meal out with family. Restaurant was very busy with locals due to live band. Food was good and landlady gave us a free bottle of wine to compensate for the slow service. Entertainment was very enjoyable and a great, friendly atmosphere!

Pleasant pub in a nice location. Popped in for a bite to eat in a party of 7. Slightly longer wait than we would have liked but the food was cooked fresh and was hot. The fish & chips we're ok, nothing special. The staff were friendly and I would pop in for a drink if was in the area again.

Lovely meal - perfect chips, great curry - and excellent beer! Delighted to find the Plough on the way home from Nottingham. It was gone 7.00 & the kitchen closes at 8.00, but we were given a warm welcome & superb fish & chips & Cambodian curry. Chips were skinny skin-on fries with perfect chip shop flavour; beautiful crispy batter; husband said it was best fish & chips he'd had in ages! Curry also spot-on. The staff were all very friendly & welcoming. Landlord knows how to look after his beer. Thank you for a perfect stop! Thoroughly recommended.

Visited last night - group of 10, some eating, others not. New management (Lynn & Andy) were very welcoming, service was great and food was good pub fare (and prosecco very reasonably priced). Will definitely be back and wish Lynn & Andy every success!

Staff very unwelcoming, making you feel like you’re intruder rather than a guest. Very limited choices on the menu, barman was probably prohibited to smile by the management. It’s very concerning that despite hardly anyone being in at the time of my visit the barman informed me that waiting time for the food is 45 minutes or could be even longer. Staff’s lacking basic manners e.g “hello; thank you;, how are you?”. Atmosphere inside is cemetery-like. No music in the background and customers angry with the staff’s poor performance.

I used to come here as a child for Sunday lunches with my Grandma who lived across the road and had such happy memories. Today I came with my own children and it was absolutely lovely! Very friendly staff, one gave the children lollies ( happy children ) the Sunday lunch was great, the portions are perfect for adults and kids. Brilliant price too! Will be making this more regular! Thanks :-)

Very attractive place with lots of different areas, cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food when it came was excellent, shame about the almost an hour we had to wait for it when the place was almost empty!

Very nice inn people very friendly enjoyed my evening there

First visit was in the week, there was 1 other table while we were there and staff said that the chef couldn’t cope. Plates not taken away, no offers of more drinks. Food was pleasant. Second visit was for Sunday lunch, again one other table was there and we waited over an hour for food. Beef was so tough, ran out of cauliflower cheese and the meal was missing Yorkshire puds. Parsnips also rock hard. Waitress didn’t know how to order the cider on tap I chose so said I needed to choose another??? Shame because the pub is nice and most of the staff pleasant.

Lovely cbountry pub with great outside space

The pub had a lovely atmosphere and decorations, as well as friendly staff, however the food wasn't quite up to standard. While it was tasty, there were some parts that could be improved, for example the creme brulee wasn't set, the yorkshire puddings were burnt, and the lamb was tough. I would overall recommend this pub, as my family and I had a great time though.

Great beer nice garden good service

Amazing staff, gorgeous food (thanks to the lovely chef) and the waiter was super entertaining and quite happy to miss the football and be with us in the virtually empty main restaurant! Good value too.

Group of 4 eating indoors on a Saturday night. Not very busy but still 50min wait for food. Mixed up our duck orders. Confit served with jus instead if a l'orange which was how the duck breast came. Wrong ice cream served with the brownie too.

Changed hands recently, food excellent as previously, Beer prices have increased £4/pint, but Covid has had alot to do with this, TBH £2 increase, isnt bad in 20years especially under todays hospitality pressures

Friendly and welcoming staff and delicious food. We had 3 different Sunday roasts and all were fantastic. Kids portions of all meals available. Will definitely be back soon.

My partner and I had a fantastic meal here. The food was brilliant - the steak on my mixed grill was one of the best cooked I’ve had, the perfect medium rare. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive, and we later met his Mum who also works there and is just as lovely! Thoroughly recommend.
