Plough & Harrow in Walsall

I phoned yesterday and got through straight away. I explained that I wanted a table for 4 people and it was my wife's Birthday on the day we wanted to go ( 19th May ) The lady was very polite and reserved a table which she thought would be very suitable for us near the windows on a very well sized round table. On arrival we were greeted quickly and the lady was very polite, cheerful and ready to show us to our table which was in a great position in the restaurant. Sue was given a glass of champagne and a strawberry to start with which was a lovely thought. We all proceeded to order our drinks and food with no rush, leaving us with plenty of time to catch up with our friends as we live in Tenerife and came to England to visit many people while here. All the food was exceptional and the mains were served on hot plates. Starters and desserts were also fabulous with a special touch for Sue again with a special message on her dessert plate along with a Birthday card too. I would fully recommend this place and we will visit again on our next trip over. Thanks to Elisha & Team Plough for an amazing experience. Mike, Sue, Barry & Sonia 😁

Nice venue for dining good service and food, plenty of onsite parking and nice outside seating front and back so can always find the sun should it be out.

Went for a family meal. We were very well looked after with attentive service but not overly so. Excellent food, leave space for a desert, the crème brûlée was a very nice way to end to the meal

Nice food but spoilt by the absolute AWFUL SERVICE From the so call manager vick! My wife who is pregnant left crying because how rude she was , never will we return ! You should be ashamed at awful staff

There was a group of us that arranged to meet here for dinner. Food was amazing, everything beautifully presented and was piping hot. However the service left lots to be desired. Took 45 mins to have order, meals all coming out at different times, only about 7 tables in restaurant and having to find someone to order drinks!

My friend and I dined on a Friday night. We were shown to our seats immediately on arriving, and we were served by the very lovely Ella. Nothing was too much trouble. She was very engaging and made sure that everything was as it should be. Compliments to the kitchen staff. The food was delicious. We had a thoroughly nice evening. Thank you to everyone.

Came to The Plough with family I had the most wonderful experience Izzy was exceptional she was so accommodating and we have booked for next week what a fantastic pub and team X

I met with long time friends and we found the music on a loop too loud and really why the music? Even in the toilet. Folks go for lunch to enjoy company not listen to blaring music. The food was average. We ordered from the lunch menu. Pate starter which came with a layer of fat and too much pate underneath it with a slither of bread. The main gammon was a typical pub meal, nothing to rate. The gammon made me thirsty for the afternoon. Nice pub but a little more attention to detail. I will not recommend.

Amazing food, been three times now for a meal...chicken pie was delicious. Staff are friendly and very accommodating, definitely a regular place to eat.

Don’t really leave reviews but felt I needed to for my experience here, food was 10/10 service was quick and overall for what we ate and drank the bill was surprisingly low. I think Alice served our table and she was great aswell. Will defo be coming back! - Came back again been a few times now can’t fault this place every time has been great! Tonight we was served by Ella who was great checked at every course if the food was right and made sure we was happy with our meals! Another 10/10 experience

Great Sunday dinner with fab service

First visit in years. Really enjoyed it, food and service was very good. Only slight negative was we were sat underneath a speaker. Music was a little loud. But would not stop us going back.

Venue was cold, in need of a paint job especially the toilets. Steak sandwich had the smallest of steak on it so Chef cooked us some more.

The friendliness of your staff was fantastic. We were greeted with a cheerful smile and made to feel like we were at home. It was an absolute pleasure to be looked after by Emily. She was very attentive and always there, without been over powering. The food was also beautiful and very well presented.

Great food. Great selection/menu, for kids too. Had the sunday trio. Delicious, some meat was slightly overcooked but the flavours were there. Nice rich desserts, delicious, although brownie was a bit hard. Would be happy to return. Solid meal, good staff.

Had a lovely day out with my god children and a friend. From walking through the door to being served at the table. The manager was lovely, and seated us quickly considering there were quite a few of us and we didn't have a booking. Service from our waitress Anna was 10/10! So respectful and courteous. Considering she had a large table to look after also, Anna ensured that we were taken care of. Thankyou for a great experience ❤️

Specifically asked for 1 glass of wine. Was made to pay for the bottle that I never ordered. The omission was made like my mistake not the mistake of the waitress. Scallops were nice however and generally it's a cozy restaurant. Some subtle smell of toilet was present yesterday, which wasn't pleasant. Generally - should take the position that the customer is always right. If I ask for 1 glass, not a bottle... as a customer I am right.

Lovely restaurant, lovely servers and waiting staff(Elisha, Kelsey and Emily). Food was really good but a bit on the small side. I had the lamb which was cooked well and very tasty but it came with 5 beans and 5 tiny new potatoes which surprised me. Also, I know its February but it was a little cold in there.

Enjoyed the main course, but the creme brulee was a big dissapointment, it was in a dish of half an inch depth and the brulee was a quarter of an inch deep. I had to scrap the dish to taste it. Not worth it at all. Don't order this dessert you will be very unhappy!

I had the mezze as a main meal and it was delicious. Not a huge amount of vegetarian choice but adequate. The pub was very busy, and there did not seem to be enough staff on to cover everybody. The ones that were on worked hard though!

Review has been edited, read it all please. Morning...sorry to complain however feel I need to me and hubby came because hubby had a offer for his birthday. Lead to believe free ...however it wasn't ..you had to havethree starter and main and pudding ..I cannot eat 3 course....words said up to three course I get that...but should have want you want .... I have upgraded the review because it was a blip with the offer and was put right later on. My husband received a refund for the complimentary meal. We have been again and the manager was glad we had returned and thanked us very much. We had another lovely meal and was pleased again with the meals. It's definitely fine dining, and we will return again! Thanks for putting things right, and the food has always been good over the years we have gone for a treat or something that is nice!

The food presentation was lovely! Excellent service and tasty meals! I have been there a fair few times with my wife, and it never disappoints! One point is that when approaching the pub by car it's easy to miss the turning, especially at night and then need to turn around and go back. They have wi-fi, but some mobile phone service providers may not provide a signal, but really you should want to turn your phone off when you're enjoying a quality meal out like this! The food was mwah! 👍🍖🍷🍺
