Plough & Harrow in Walsall

Visited here last Tuesday and the service from Emily was outstanding, cannot say enough good things about her! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was very chilled. Will be returning.

Visited on tuesday evening and was served on the bar by a lovely girl Emily. She made great drinks and even went out of her way to bring some to our table to save us waiting. We had a few snacks which were delicious, definitely recommend the hummus and the beef croquettes they were lovely!

Great atmosphere very pretty inside and well decorated for Christmas, front of house 10/10 no improvement needed. the food I felt was a little bland and where it did try to shine was more inconvenient than tasty. The worst of all roasters had no crunch practically boiled potatoes that have briefly met an oven.

Had sunday lunch yesterday at the plough and harrow we had the roast trio sharer, the dish was 100% worth the money got alot for the price! We were served by Elisha who was very attentive and got us anything we needed with no trouble, would highly recommend!!

Had food here a few weeks ago, food was really nice. Our waiter Elisha was lovely made sure we had everything we needed and was ready to go above and beyond will definitely be returning would 100% recommend!

Enjoyed a lovely family meal here, the food was amazing and our waitress Elisha was very friendly and helpful would definitely recommend!

We ordered fish and chips and prawn and crab linguini with added scallops. The meal was hot and arrived quickly however half the chips were burnt and inedible which we told the waitress about and we got two scallops for the extra £4 the portion for the linguini was very small. The service was good Overall we were disappointed to pay £50 for this a pint and a soda water so not going back any time soon.

Wonderful staff, very good service, in my opinion the food was OK but not up to the standard I was expecting considering the cost of the dishes we ordered.

Fabulous Sunday lunch, service was great.

Impressed with the friendly efficient service and the food. My fish and chips was excellent and served piping hot. The rest of the party said the same about the sea bass and the pizza. The only negative comment was regarding the fillet steak which was tough.

Incredible staff that made us feel very welcome and made our anniversary that little bit more special with Prosecco and a card from all the team, couldn’t ask for a better dining experience

I had the salmon meal. I thought it lacked vegetables and those few I had were over cooked. The salmon and potatoes were very nice. The waitress Izzy D was most attentive to our needs and helped our quests in choosing an appropriate dish to meet their rather limited dietary requirements. I can’t praise her welcoming attitude and helpfulness too much.

Had a lovely evening. The food was excellent. The starter of slow cooked beef crostini from the specials list was absolutely delicious. The table service provided by Max was second to none. Nothing was too much trouble. I'm looking forward to my next visit in December

I came here on Saturday with my family, food was amazing and our server poppy was really pleasant and welcoming

Service was excellent 👌 Unfortunately food wasn't. My had a butternut Wellington which was a pie! I don't why it was a pie as the shape, pastry isn't the same. Roast potatoes weren't roasted enough. They were more just boiled potatoes. The families chicken was dry, so unbeatable.

Don’t really leave reviews but felt I needed to for my experience here, food was 10/10 service was quick and overall for what we ate and drank the bill was surprisingly low. I think Alice served our table and she was great aswell. Will defo be coming back!

Amazing afternoon at the Plough and Harrow. We were well looked after by the lovely staff Kelsey, Elisha and Ruby. Our food was absolutely amazing, particularly the lamb which 5/7 of us had. Would definitely recommend and special thanks to the chefs.

We had the pleasure of revisiting the Plough and Harrow for a Monday afternoon late-lunch. The pub has the traditional exterior combined with a contemporary, comfortable interior. Taking advantage of the fixed-price two course option, we each had fish and chips, followed by a small dessert of creme brulé served with a pot of tea. The food was served hot and freshly-cooked. Portion size was more than enough, making the smaller dessert choice just right. Service was excellent - Emily, our server for the whole afternoon, was friendly, professional and helpful. A real credit to the Plough and Harrow team. Whether it is for lunch or dinner, the establishment is highly recommended. Booking for a weekend or evening would be worthwhile, but for during the day, just pop in and expect a warm welcome.

First time at this particular Plough and Harrow . Bright and airy and tasteful decor. Thursday night dinner and the pub was quiet which suited us . Staff lovely and friendly. I had the Aubergine Lasagna with chunky chips which was absolutely delicious and my friend really enjoyed her chicken dish . For pudding my friend had the Creme brûlée which she thoroughly enjoyed , but felt it was rather a tiny portion . I opted for the Sticky Toffee and Rum pudding with coconut sorbet which was very tasty but over cooked and made it rather chewy . Overall we enjoyed our food and drinks , would definitely recommend and visit again.

Totally wonderful birthday meal for my husband, food was delicious as always full of favourite, place as such a lovely atmosphere, staff are so lovely welcoming and friendly and very helpful. We came for a meal yesterday late afternoon and was not impressed with food at all,,, the steak my mother ordered was not cooked to what she asked for and my main just was bland and no flavour,, then we had to wait for the steak to be cooked again,,, then we chose something different pizza,,,, was a better choice but it was extremely spicey so struggled to eat it!!!!!!! Just a sad experience won’t be going again ….

Staff v. pleasant but for the first time in my life I had to send food back. The fish had an awful acrid aftertaste and as a result was inedible.

A wonderful place to dine, we had some of the finest food I've ever had at a restaurant. The lamb rump was out of this world as was my fried scallop starter. The sea bass my wife had was on a par too, fabulous. We were served, very attentively by Ciara and Matilda. All in all, we had a wonderful time at The Plough And Harrow.

My daughter and I had lunch today and Kelsey was our server, I haven't been for a few years so it was nice to come back. Friendly service, my little one asked for some cheese for her pasta, which was no trouble. Attentive service and very relaxing.

Lovely Sunday roast served by Rhiann. She was very helpful and attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. Roast dinner was hot and everything was fresh.

Main courses and service were good but starters were underwhelming. We rang beforehand to ask about their gluten free menu options as my wife is a celiac, we were assured that they would be able to accommodate with gluten free alternatives, however, when we were ordering and asked for this they told us that they had run out of gluten free breads and alternatives to menu items. So we had a very limited choice of foods which was disappointing considering that we checked beforehand.

Just been for a meal with family, all had a lovely meal and the place is lovely and clean and staff are lovely too , the atmosphere was good lot's of people in there ,will go again would recommend to everyone

The starters and the mains, which consisted of soup, calamari, fish and chips plus burger and chips, were nice. I recommend giving it a try.

10/10 recommend! Visited on a fairly busy Thursday evening and was greeted by a very friendly lady who took us to our table in a very nice area by the fire. Our food was delicious, definitely recommend the roasted chicken. We were too full after our mains so unfortunately didn’t get to try desserts but the ones on the table next to us looked lovely. Fabulous service, especially from Elisha B and Ella. One comment/suggestion - burgers should be served just on the the rare side of medium, not overly well done - unless that's how you asked for it.

Fabulous bottomless lunch with my two daughters. In our conversation with Alice our server I mentioned how it was our first get together as mum and daughters in a while as it was my youngest daughter’s birthday and my older daughter had just had a baby. Alice brought out ice cream for both of my girls one with congratulations on and one with happy birthday such a lovely touch after a lovely bottomless lunch . The bottomless is excellent value for money, the food is lovely and the drinks were non-stop. Would fully recommend bottomless for all the ladies out there. An all-round fab experience .

Pleasant surroundings, Poppy, our waitress, was welcoming and attentive. However, after waiting about 25 minutes for our meal - we were not unhappy about this wait as it was a busy Sunday - we found the roasted vegetables (potatoes, parsnips ad carrots) served with our meal were not as well cooked they should have been and as we would have expected. Perhaps the chef felt it more important to fulfill our order than to give the root vegetables long enough to cook. Otherwise a nice meal.

We came on Friday evening for our wedding anniversary and was given two glasses of Prosecco which was a nice touch. Our food was very nice we had such a lovely lady Emily serving us she was very polite happy and made sure everything was okay for us which made our night thank you Emily 😀

Visited the plough and harrow tonight, we were greeted by a member of staff as soon as we arrived! Alice was our waitress and she sure delivered! Food tasted amazing and was out hot and fast! drinks were flowing it was a lovely atmosphere I would highly recommend! We will definitely be back in the future!!

We had a lovely three course meal at the plough and harrow. The food was excellent and the service was great and very quick. We would especially like to mention Katie behind the bar who was very friendly and provided great service along with the other staff. We will definitely be eating here again.

Swung by here on a whim after a long day. Food and drinks were excellent, very attentive staff & made a fuss of a last minute birthday outing for my husband. Emily is a credit to this place- she looked after us very well. Very much worth the money, also note how lovely the whole restaurant smelt!

Lovely service from Elisha and Izzy

We visited yesterday (Saturday) afternoon and had a meal and a bottle of wine. I eat only plant-based (vegan) food and there were options for all courses. I enjoyed a side salad to start followed by the celeriac steak with some interesting mushrooms a colourful and filling garnish. It is always a revelation that I had poached pear with coconut sorbet, not the usual chocolate brownie for vegans! My husband steak and Madeira wine with mashed potato, broccoli and green beans followed with the crème brûlée. The Gavi di Gavi White wine was good. Rhiann was looking after us throughout and she was very personable and efficient. Rhiann gave us a piece of paper with a QR code, but, unusually, it would not open, hence I have used Google reviews instead.

Visited today for a Sunday Roast. Excellent customer services provided by Max and the roasts were really good. We will definitely be visiting again.

This is a nice pub in a good location. Good choice on the menu. Service was very quick. Our waiter Max was very helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner and deserts. Nice atmosphere in the place. Would recommend.

My wife and I stopped by for some lunch today, and we enjoyed it for the most part. The food was good quality and well cooked, and the service was very good. The downside was the strong air freshener throughout the pub. It was like walking into a perfume shop. Perhaps the staff have gone nose blind, but it was very overpowering.

Went with a family of 7 for Sunday lunch and the food was average.Three of us ordered a trio of roasts and whilst the vegetables were nice the meat was less desirable, the beef was pretty non existent and hard to cut the chicken was three different cuts in 3 plates so no consistency and the belly pork was tough like it had been cooked too long

very welcoming staff and environment, particularly waitress emily was superb very attentive and friendly really made the meal that bit nicer. Would certainly encourage anyone who has never been to this location to try it out as it is definitely worth it
