Popped along to the Plough today 2/1/25, for a local business networking event #Business Buzz, nice venue plenty of parking! Coffee was lush, will return in the summer to enjoy the river view! Only £10 plus Vat to attend.

Family Christmas meal, food was excellent. Staff were very attentive. Thoroughly recommend.

We have loved the Plough since we came here more than 6 years ago on the day we got engaged. Returned for Boxing Day lunch and we’re not disappointed - the food was exquisite and the service exceptional. Tom was fantastic - could not have been better! Definitely worth the trip to Fen Ditton!

Went to the plough with my friends and what an amazing experience we received. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The food was delicious! I had the lamb rump and that was beautifully presented. Thank you

Chloe did a great job serving us today!

My wife had the Salad with Goats Cheese. When it was serves she told the waiter that she was unhappy with the actual salad (no0t sure all the stated ingredients were present) and the amount of goats cheese was negligible. No one came back and so to not ruin the occasion she ate the salad. At the end the waiter was again told that we were disappointed with the salad. and when I paid I mentioned it to a different chap who took payment. Again no comment made. All that was required was a chat with Manger about the quality of the salad and the fact that the cheese quantity (had they run out) was not in anyway worth more than 50pence and needing correcting. If the issue was addressed we would have happily left a tip. Thankfully the waiter quickly moved over the tip input on card machine which I suppose was him recognising their failings. As it is we will not be revisiting and you have lost 4 customers. So very poor customer care that would have cost about £1 to sort was just ignored. The mini deserts we ordered were then forgotten and so our coffee was finished by time they finally arrived. They should obviously have come together. Again no apology.

Located on the banks of the river cam a short walk from the edge of town...great food and drinks, fantastic staff...big car park for those that drive, dog friendly ...what's not to like... highly recommend x

We sat by a roaring log fire – perfect on a damp chilly day - enjoying a long over due catch up lunch with friends. Staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. The menu varied and reasonably priced and the food was excellent, served promptly, fresh, hot (where applicable) and with a smile. Tom and his colleagues went to lengths to make sure we had all we needed and were happy with our meals. Thank you Tom, Chlo and Florin, we will be back. Merry Christmas

Chloe our waitress was wonderful.. Very pleasant & attentive. It was my mother in laws 93rd birthday, and she gave her an ice cream dessert with a little candle in it!! It made her day!!

Fantastic service from Chloe - lovely chill vibe next to the fire, decent lunch (minus a star for the gloopy butternut squash soup, but amazing chicken burger, brownie with vegan icecream, coffee with oat milk, all the good stuff) - I used to come here regularly before my kids were born, and thankfully it is still as good as I remember! Well done guys.

Very good service by friendly staff

From start to finish, the whole experience was wonderful. The setting of the pub is beautiful, nestled by the side of the River Cam. The waiting staff were very friendly and professional. All the food we ordered was perfect, and there's an interesting selection of dishes on the menu - enough to satisfy anyone's palette. I will definitely be returning to this charming pub with its wonderful food. For me, this pub would be a 9/10 but the staff were exceptional and so I'm giving The Plough at Fenn Ditton a score of 10/10!

Different Menu The restaurant is located at the quiet side of Cambridge. Didn't come since the pandemic. So the menu is more different than I remembered. The chips and potatoes tasted good, still hot in the midway of the meal. It would be better if the steaks are char grilled. The pasta was quite spicy but okay. It would be better if customers could choose their sides. Though the chips are genuinely tasty and well made. The portion was generous, no one is going to be hungry. It's not the cheapest pub in the UK. It's relatively expensive for an non town centre pub.

We ate here tonight after a long drive home from France and to celebrate a belated birthday. Had the T bone steak and Surf & Turf meal and both steaks were cooked beautifully. Sadly, l switched the thick chips for the billionaire chips, what a mistake, they came in a bowl filled with a sauce making them greasy and soggy, and didn’t pair well with the pepper corn sauce ordered and dish. I wish staff had been told about this as l ended up leaving them. The Trio desert to follow was a nice treat

Really thoughtful menu with a wide choice from the low calorie, but delicious, banana blossom stew through some tasty looking pasta / risotto options to the normal high calorie English pub classics. The mini desserts with choice of hot drink is a really inspired idea that leaves you satisfied without feeling you've over indulged. Will definitely return.

Absolutely beautiful place, had such a lovely meal, floren and John were very accommodating and so were the chefs with our requests, thank you for such a lovely meal and lovely experience.

It was my first time here, but some of my group had been before. Atmosphere was very nice. Service was friendly, but very slow. We were there for just over an hour before our starters arrived. Overall the food was bland and lacked seasoning. The lamb loin was well under cooked, tough, and still had silver skin on it That had to be sawed through. the panzanella salad was significantly under dressed with large hard croutons.

Great food and fantastic atmosphere. Trio Roast is beautifully presented and delicious. Linguine with prawns and chorizo is so flavourful. Will is always on his fast feet to go above and beyond for us. Highly recommend!!!

Just dropped in Thursday evening, didn't book but got a table ok. Service is a bit slow but waitresses good.

We enjoyed the fish & chips & the banana blossom was so delicious & huge portion . Our host Stacey was lovely & made us very welcome & great service. The decor & surroundings are very calming 👌

Not very busy at about 5pm on a Thursday. We only wanted desserts and hot drinks before we took a stroll by the river. Very pleasant

I organized an event there for 8-10 ppl at the end of August, and I was really impressed how nicely everything was set up. Beautiful area that gave us privacy and tables were nicely arranged. The food was excellent - we had a buffet for 10 and there was plenty of food for everyone. Service was fantastic and helpful - very happy with this place as it really exceeded my expectations and will recommend this pub to everyone organizing a small party.

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE!! Ordered a DUO of BEEF roast dinner with 2 sides. I received a CHICKEN LEG, PORK BELLY and 2 potatoes…. No other veg, no gravy and both sides were missing. £36 absolute waste of money.

Visited here with friends for evening meal mid week. Staff were friendly and the food was great and reasonably priced. I found it on Search 4 sites app and they were happy for us to stay in our van overnight (2 nights). Large carpark which has a drive under building with head hight of 1.95. As we are just under 3m (lwb crafter) we initially thought oh no we won't fit, however you can actually get round the end of the building (a bit tight but managed fine). Quiet night only us here. Lovely setting by the river so imagine it will be busy in summer.

Food was really good! Really nice looking place to eat at, service was professional and quick.

Visit to the Plough was excellent - service was good , food was great I have no reservations but would not recommend to everyone since aware at £50 a head this is more expensive and not affordable for all but understand the pricing for the quality of the meal

Went for our anniversary lunch and the lady at the desk said they offered a lunch takeaway service- order at the bar and they will buzz when to collect - what we didn’t expect was to £45 for 2 drinks and two cardboard boxes (one salad £18.95 & one burger £15.95) of food wooden cutlery on a picnic bench that we had to collect ourselves. Food was ok small portions but please serve on proper plates with proper cutlery - if I wanted a takeout I’d go to a burger van at a fraction of the cost!!

Second time eating here, and as per first visit, kitchen was painfully slow (despite small number of covers this evening). Other tables around us experienced this too. One couple had one meal served whilst other was kept waiting for 5 minutes as the other started eating. Our drinks arrived after dinner served, and had to be prompted for drinks. Sea bass dish served with 4 new potatoes, 4 peas, and a small amount of spinach - sea bass good, but sides diabolical for the price. Chef should focus on basics of a substantial meal rather than trying to be fancy and serving very little. Same applies to burger and chips - just shy of £20 for a good burger but tiny portion of chips. Again, lacking in portion size. Waitress was fantastic but had to do a lot of fire fighting tonight making up for whatever was going on it that kitchen. Lovely venue, lovely setting, friendly staff, but my word, sort out that kitchen. It’s letting you down.

Over 20 us for midday lunch, all the food served on time, no mistakes and all delicious, definitely recommend

We turned up on a Tuesday late morning and although the pub was quiet and we only wanted a coffee, Tom gave us a very warm welcome. He went over and above, giving us some sweet treats which were not strickly on the menu. The coffee was good and Tom was attentive without being intrusive. Would highly recommend 👌

An overnight in the area and the reviews were acceptable. Food very good and Phoebe was very attentive. Sadly my ale had turned, but the lager was reliable 👌

Lovely place at the river and the staff we interacted with was lovely. The food we ordered for the beergarden however was lukewarm by the time we got to pick it up.

Welcomed on arrival and shown to our pre-booked table. Frankie, our waitress, was attentive, cheerful and friendly, and ensured we received an excellent experience at the Plough. Our meals were nicely presented and very enjoyable.

Came in with my friends for a birthday lunch, Cleo was our server, she was very attentive and welcoming. She presented us with a birthday plate for my friend and sung her happy birthday! She even had the same name as me. Thank you to the plough for a wonderful experience

Lovely early evening meal for 5 of us. Seating was by a window as requested. Service from Cleo was great, she handled the belligerent 80 and 90 year olds well. We were disappointed that 2 of our menu choices were not available - lemon sole and sticky toffee pudding - especially so early in the evening (6pm). Also, 2 of us had the crispy duck noodle salad, which was nice, except the duck strips with skin were not crispy (too fatty) and were left on the plates.

The food was lovely, however service was extremely slow. Ordered a drink while waiting for sons dinner (we ordered a different dish shortly after our food arrived but his didn’t arrive for another 20ish minutes) the drink didn’t arrive til after the dinner arrived!. The female toilets were horrible, and didn’t have any toilet roll available in any cubicles. Thankfully I checked first and had to retrieve some from the disabled toilet. Will not be returning.

I came in this week and was warmly welcomed and seated. We had our food served by Kirk and he created an enjoyable experience who was easy to approach with any concerns we had.

Went for the motorhome stopover, what a great pub. Staff really accomodating, found us a table although fully booked. Lovely site next to the river. Had a meal in the evening which was superb, I had linguine with crab and scallops, wow it was amazing. Highly recommend.

Food was pretty good but our server, Izzy, was a delight and made our lunch extra special. Thanks Izzy will definitely be back 😀

Great food and service, was recommended a fantastic apple tart (I think it was called Tarte aux pommes) from our very helpful server Chloe, it did not disappoint- would definitely visit again for a good date night dinner!
