Found a table easily, had no coca cola only Pepsi 😳. So had to have an alternative drink. Staff were friendly, but the food letvthem down, my steak was fill of sinew not good and the peppercorn sauce was awful !

Nice food and plenty, but sadly the music was loud and we couldn't talk to each other.

Visited here today with family, it's a lovely little pub by the river, and a great place for food.

Good to find a pub serving food midday on a Tuesday. There were only a few customers there so hard to say what the atmosphere is like when busy, but it seems a perfectly likeable place that I'd definitely visit regularly if I were local. There's a good selection of beers and good choice of meals on the menu. The steak and ale pie was good (as were the chips) and a decent tasting pint of ale. Service was quick too. There's a large lawned garden with plenty of tables or you can sit on concreted area, both of which are beside the water but are securely protected by railings to kepp children and dogs safe. We sat on the concrete area as it was in the sun more than the garden was, the only downside being the traffic queuing on the bridge, not a major intrusion but just slightly spoils the location. In an evening or on a Sunday it's no doubt quieter. All in all, worth a visit if you want a decent meal and a pint at very reasonable prices.

Very good experience as a whole. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are good. Food and drink are excellent. We went for the quiz which was fun. The only problem I had, the staff removing the dishes from the table asked if we were finished, I said NO I am still eating. Not only did she ignore me and take them anyway, she took one I was still eating from. I didn't want to make a scene, there wasn't much left, but I thought it was very rude

Food was served hot and fresh. Fish batter was so delicious. Nice atmosphere. No rushing. Our dog was made welcome (we don't allow her at other diners tables).

‘Best fish and chips’ well what bull that was. It was so dry, and not even hot. Refused to give refund as well. Food was poor, burnt and over done. The lemonade tasted like soda water as well.

Great food, friendly staff - I can eat a 3 course meal here cos they accommodate my food intolerances of gluten and lactose! The kids food also great and again food intolerance covered! Really good value for money 🙂

Quality pint great entertainment and food

Heard good things went for lunch it wasn't very nice Steak why ask how you want it when it comes out like house bricks I only ordered a sandwich and only ate my chips complete waste of money And the offensive over powering smells of what turned out to be cheap plug ins quiet disappointed seeing as it my family's local pub For generations Then what really put me of the cat strolling across the bar ergh I'd just seen it roaming down the side of the pub where all hyperdermic needles are and dirt and feaces Unfortunately I won't be going back very disappointed

Not been here for a while, and I realise why. The atmosphere is pleasant but I will say the food was not amazing. I had the Cumberland sausage and mash with braised red onions, peas, and gravy. Sausages were not Cumberland and were poor quality. The braised red onions were missing and when I requested them, were more microwaved than braised. So disappointed. I had the choc banoffee pie to follow, and actually this was the best part of the meal. Not in a rush to go back for a meal but happy to go for a drink.

Large pub with huge beer garden. Can only really comment on the beer as I've not eaten here. The beer is good, large selection of drinks. Very kid friendly, when I went there was a bouncy castle in the beer garden with lots of kids all over it by the time I left. The people working there are kind and helpful

Nice place, good sized beer garden but £6.20 a pint for neck oil is ridiculous.

Food was cold, ordering process wasn't good, many items came wrong, we were charged incorrectly (charged extra for chips with a burger) and had to remind multiple times about allergies. TV had a music channel on but without sound, the music playing through the speakers was completely different and distracting. Vegan options are very lacking at this chain of restaurants (marstons)

Had a lovely meal at the plough last night - it was our friends birthday and we were made to feel very welcome. Unfortunately a member of our party fell and grazed his head in the carpark but staff were fantastic helping us and making sure he was OK- thank you we will be back! X

Been in a few times now with my family to eat, staff always been friendly and helpful. Food has never left us disappointed, the spicy burger is great. Nice spot by the river with a bouncy castle for the kids
