A wonderful neighbourhood spot in the centre of Wadebridge with an excellent wine list alongside beautifully prepared cocktails - both classics and innovative specials. Even the non-alcoholic options are excellent and hosts Jonny and Jess are delighted to accommodate - they always find something special and fun for our kids. This thought and care flows through the team with the delightful Isobel on the bar and local legend chef Ripley in the kitchen. The food is the perfect accompaniment to the drinks - a mix of pintxos / tapas classics and boundary pushing dishes which highlight the best seasonal ingredients. There is always something new to try, as well as a few things we order every time including the,now legendary, cheesecake. At the weekend, we dropped in for the inaugural Sunday roast, which we hope will become a regular feature - homely and delicious dishes in a cosseting setting. The music was particularly good this weekend and as the sun set over the rooftops, you could feel the pace slow down as if transported to somewhere warmer. This is a magical spot - essential for locals and a treat for visitors.

I’d heard great things about Plonk’d and couldn’t wait to visit. Such a warm welcome, a great atmosphere. We went for the Sunday set menu, Sunday lunch Plonk’d style. I don’t have the words to describe just how delicious it was, let alone pick a favourite course. One things for sure, we will most definitely be back and thoroughly recommend. Our Son is still talking about the Basque Cheesecake!

Love it here. They’ve done a really nice job with the stylish interior and the place has a great atmosphere and warmth. Food is top notch and very high quality and there’s an interesting wine concept with a constantly changing wine list with some unusual wines. Highly recommended

Whilst visiting Wadebridge, we stumbled across Plonk'd and decided rather than the normal pub grub we would stop here and have some tapas. The staff were very friendly and explained what they had to offer from beers, to gin and tapas. We ordered Olives, Padron Peppers, Spanish Tortilla, Patatas Bravas (there were coated in paprika, which was unusual and whilst I liked them my wife did not), Goats Cheese, Roast Grapes, Walnuts, Honey (my wife really liked this one), Jamon Iberico (this was a small dish considering the £8 charge), Boquerones (not enough of these) and Salt Cod stuffed Piquillo Peppers. Whilst we liked most of the dishes they were quite small compared to other tapas restaurants we have visited. The local Bluntrock Pagan Juice (IPA) and the Porthilly Gin and tonic were very good.

Did not expect to find such a good spot when we went into Wadebridge on the day! But while walking past we spotted the lovely looking decor and just had to return for lunch! The Tapas was brought out one by one, as there was only two of us, this was much preferred, closer to what you would expect of a tapas bar instead. The food itself was some of the best we have had in ages, backed up by a great selection of wine, this is a must go to if your in the area!

I could not rate this place more highly, the staff were so passionate about food and wine and made our whole experience so enjoyable. The wine suggestions were on point and the food was exceptional (despite not being allowed the recipe for the best basque cheesecake I have ever tasted!). I am a big foodie and would 100% recommend this place to anyone visiting Cornwall, a fantastic place with a wonderful team.

Proper cosy little gaff. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and lovely wine and food. Had the anchovies in oil, a side of the best bread ever and with butter cream! Simply sensational! Not the biggest selection by the glass, but what i had was great. The Chenin paired with the food i had was great, as was the rose! More on the staff now, they will happily engage with you about wines, food, experiences and their knowledge. Could easily have stayed all night and sampled everything they have on the menu. Looking forward to returning.

Third visit here! First with a friend for an evening of cocktails and second & third with my husband for an evening drink! Always such a great atmosphere, beautiful aesthetics and most importantly GREAT drink choices. We are always recommended wine / cocktail choices and they never disappoint. Plus the pintxos are *chefs kiss*. That slow roasted pork belly will stay with me forever. Love this place, we also recommend it to friends. Just what Wadebridge needed!

We came across Plonk’d after cycling from Padstow to Wadebridge. It was the perfect little mid cycle stop. Fab food, amazing cocktails (best espresso martini I’ve ever had and I’ve tried a lot!!) and a great atmosphere. We shared 4 of the dishes off the menu, I couldn’t pick a fave as they were all delicious. I highly recommend this place. We’ll definitely be returning. Thank you.

Small plates, tapas style, deliciousness in abundance. The gluten free option made my gluten eating husband look on with envy. The wine list is inspirational. I am told the cocktails are epic. Lovely service, lovely atmosphere, beautiful place. You can pop in for a light lunch you can even take the dog! Please stay Plonk’d! As I can’t wait to come again

Called in at Plonk’d in Wadebridge for a glass of wine and a light lunch and it was fantastic. Only opened recently, great decor, lovely knowledgeable team, small but excellent selection of wines and the food (small plates) was freshly made and wonderfully tasty. Highly recommended

Plonk’d opened in late September 2023 with owners experienced in hospitality and dining. The concept is a wine bar with Pinchos (small tapas). There is a good range of wines by the glass or bottle, cocktails and beers and for food a range of snacks and then pinchos. We had a range Pan con tomat with anchovy, goats cheese with red pepper, manchego with peach/ scotch bonnet jam with walnut, manchego crumpet, pork belly, mackerel pate with pickled blackberry. All were superb. The wine is of very good quality. Service is super with the owners keen to talk about the dishes. Thoroughly enjoyable!

A hidden gem that we stumbled on. Delicious soup and bread, a charming owner and friendly staff, two gorgeous dogs (I met them at the back on my way to the loo), and fruitcake made with Yorkshire grandma’s secret recipe!

Very good B&B in a very central location. But it is very expensive so 'value for money' comes into question. Very good cooked breakfast served in the mornings but for the money it should provide freshly squeezed orange juice.

Found this little gem of a cafe by chance and so glad we did. We both had filled ciabattas which were lovely. I then had to have a slice of homemade lemon cake which was amazing. Would definitely recommend and we’ll be back next time we’re in Cornwall
