Plenty at The Square in Bradford

Knowing Plenty well we were ready for a stroll & slap-up lunch. We both had a delicious roasted onion & apple tart with the signature plenty salads. I had a plum toddy & we both had delicious dark woods lattes & I had a gf choc brownie. Perfect - time for a stroll to walk it off now!

Fantastic cakes as always. Requested take out sandwiches and main meals for a long journey to Anglesey. Massive door stop sandwiches. Tasty and filling Always a warm welcome and friendly service Helen and Emma as accommodating as always A pleasure to visit when ever we can

We had a family lunch here and the food was wonderful--fresh, tasty, and nutritionally balanced. A real joy. Staff were helpful and friendly. We will try to eat here whenever we are in Bradford.

We happened to be in Thornton and came across this lovely cafe. Although we hadn’t booked and it was busy, the person (owner?) in charge very kindly moved a table so we could be seated. There was lots to choose from on the menu and it was delicious and was served with lots of salad. Nice pots of tea too with a choice of milks. Nice atmosphere too. We’ll definitely be back.

Called today whilst in Thornton for Open Gardens. currently doing takeaway. Very good service and delicious cake. good outdoor seating in the Square.

We visit this venue regularly and can say it never fails to amaze. Following our winter vegetable soup with toasted sour dough bread we had the most amazingly light tasty gingerbread cake. Thanks guys enjoy your break you deserve it .

We love coming here - the food is always delicious and the staff are lovely. Today we ate homity pie, quiche, celeriac and apple soup. The salads are varied and far better than the usual limp lettuce salad other cafes serve. Great coffee and cakes too.

Just had a fantastic visit to plenty with my family through from Middlesborough They are carnivores but really enjoyed a lovely breakfast All three family members have restricted movement and Helen and Amy could not do enough to help Fantastic service 10 stars!!!

Plenty at the square is a little vegetarian/vegan gem. They always have fresh delicious food with a menu that changes depending on what seasonal food they have on hand. The team here are so welcoming, the kind of place where you know the staff genuinely want to get to know you and have a chat. The vegan chocolate orange cake is one of my faves and they have lots of other delicious bakes too. We hired Plenty to cater for our wedding, they were very professional and the food/cake/drinks were top notch. Such a lovely place, definitely worth a visit.

Went yesterday for coffee and cake with colleagues First visit and loved it Nice selection of drinks and homemade cakes and a short blackboard menu of vegetarian dishes with vegan options The vegan plum cake was delicious so took another piece home😀 The cafe is bright and tastefully furnished Definitely be back for lunch next time

This is shamelessly a second review for the same place simply because it is now even better than it was at the first review and more importantly several other "highly regarded" places have been terrible since going to Plenty the first time. It is difficult to know where to start . The service is friendly but professional and welcoming . The menu has fabulous choices that change almost daily and provide anyone with several options. I am not a vegetarian but have never struggled to find something fabulous. Fresh, flavoursome, delicious ..... these are just some of the ways to describe every dish. The combinations of flavour and texture is simply fantastic. The selection of teas and coffees are fabulous. There are speciality home made jams, pickles, bread and many other delicious things ..... which segway's beautifully into their cakes. Vegetarian and Vegan never tasted so good. A delightful experience ......

We arrived late for our booked lunch but this did not faze the staff. My sister and I had very tasty food (I had a jacket potato but can't remember what sis had because it's a few months ago and my memory's not perfect). The cakes looked delicious but neither of us had room for any but I took a piece back for my hubby.

Great quality vegetarian food, locally sourced ingredients where possible . Food is flavoursome & tasty . Very friendly staff & nothing is too much trouble .

I have been here twice for lunch when attending workshops at the square. Food was excellent amazing tastes salads fab I had lentle dhal and on my visit had the mushroom Mexican style both meals loved the place simple homely feel can't wait to go back.

On the days when my partner and I work from home, we do a "lunch date" to get out of the house for an hour. We often end up at Plenty, which is a really lovely spot in Thornton (all Yorkshire stone terraces with added Bronte birthplace ;-))

Lovely atmosphere and great service, food well thought out and good. Love bread deliveries a great idea.

Easy to miss if you're not looking out for it, as it is tucked away just off the main Thornton Road. Great atmosphere. Order taken at the table, with every attempt made to accommodate our tastes and preferences. A vegetarian menu offering multiple tasty and original dishes, along with wonderful liquid refreshment to suit all tasts. There were various teas, superior coffees and non-alcoholic hot toddies. Well worth a visit.

It took me a while to get over to this gem and it was so worth it. It’s so refreshing to find a vegetarian and vegan cafe these days with such delicious fresh and home cooked dishes. I love the way local seasonal and foraged ingredients are used.

Smashing successor to the old veggie cafe that was here. Good selection of meals reasonably priced. Nice cakes, great coffee, admirable ethos

Last night went to the late night opening.

Great veggie place hidden away in Old Thornton Square dishes of the day on the board are tasty and nutritious and for £20 a couple can get a good lunchtime meal and drinks.

This is the new veggie cafe in place of the one that closed down in April 2017. It's a good alternative although my friend and I will forever miss the flans always on the menu of the last place. The range of cakes and the various dietary options they cater for are superb.

I have visited Plenty numerous times and I am never disappointed. With a top class ethos of reducing waste and supporting local growers and suppliers it means the menu is ever changing and exciting. Quality is never compromised on any food products or on service in fact. The staff are so friendly, keen to inform you of where their ingredients came from and how they came up with the ideas for the menu. A fantastic cafe which I can’t recommend highly enough. Everyone should visit!

Went here with friends - recommended by one of us who is a vegetarian who has been before. The other two and I had never been before but we all enjoyed our food. As others have said, the welcome is wonderful, the service is prompt and the food is delicious and portions are generous. We went on a Friday evening for their monthly evening opening.

Amazing food , salads are superb, tasty and very varied.

As soon as you arrive, the welcome is warm and friendly. The food is quite simply delicious and made fresh every day. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this restaurant go from strength to strength. Call in for a coffee, cakes or a full meal, you will be pleased that you did! The rating system is not working on this site - mine is ‘excellent’.

Loved this place such a super welcome you feel like you are being treated like royalty the food was gorgeous I'm not a vegetarian if you didn't need the meat it was so tasty, brought take away earl grey from them too ! Delicious I will return.

Some of the nicest veggi food I've ever tasted - deep, layered flavours that I've never encountered in some veg dishes before, coupled with approachable crowd pleasers that are great for carnivores and kids!

I am a self confessed meat lover so the thought of going to a vegetarian cafe usually leaves me cold, however I got a reccomendation from a friend to give Plenty of the Square a try.

I had been a big fan of this cafe when it was under a different guise as the South Square Vegetarian Cafe and wasn't sure what to expect. Was pleasantly surprised to find the quality is still there. My only gripe is that the salad that the old cafe used to produce was much larger. It may be that the toastie option was too light for the full salad. I'll definitely be returning for a larger food option to see if the salad is there :)

Fantastic food. Friendly staff The sweet potato and parsnip fritters were a delight. Seen the cake and ice cream at another table and are going to order😎

Now been to plenty at the square 3 times today freshly made pancakes with fruit compote gorgeous previously mushroom burritos very very tasty also leek and creamed spinach flan truly scrumptious will be going back again oh! and bought some lovely honey and sultana bread

Plenty at the Square is a lovely place for an evening meal with a friendly community vibe and local seasonal produce. BYO or pop into The Cobbles bar opposite for a pre-dinner drink. Then across the courtyard to Plenty. The Mushroom Bouginon was delicious - nice flavour combo of wine, garlic and mushroom - with mash, roast parsnip and baby carrot with green salad. My friends had the Bombay potato filo crust pie. For dessert we all opted for sticky toffee apple pudding which was served with Apple ice cream. The apple ice cream was amazing - like eating tangy appley snow! So light and fluffy. Then for coffee. Like most Sydneysiders I'm a bit of a coffee snob. Plenty at the Square made the best coffee I've had in the UK. Locally roasted in Huddersfield, the barista knew how to serve a great flat white to round off our meal.

Went here for our first visit to the South Sq veggie cafe which wanted to go to for ages. It's now been taken over by Plenty at the Square who not only serve great veggie and vegan food looking at the menu but draw from local growers, actively work to minimise food waste and are in to preserving the plentifulness from local growers.

A great café, a varied menu packed with stunning seasonal food. Never had a bad meal there, the recent mushroom and chard lasagne was outstanding. Run by a great team, lots of smiling faces and very knowledgeable about food. Just a great atmosphere. The cordials need a special mention, Lemon, Blackcurrant, Plumbena and Elderflower, so far on our visits. The dried fruit roll "sweets" are a treat too.

Lovely cafe, brilliant staff. Fantastic food and a cracking hot chocolate. I would highly recommend it. Great range of jams to buy too.

Well worth the trip out. Friendly service, and excellent food and value. Two hungry bikers satisfied and happy. Delicious coffee too!

If you like super fresh tasty food at a reasonable price this is the place to be. Whether you are a veggie or not you will leave feeling satisfied and nourished.

The lentil Wellington was delicious and came with a rhubarb salsa that was sharp, tart and spicy. The coffee was Under Millwood from Dark Woods. A lovely brew.

We were great advocates of South Square, and now find Plenty every bit as good. Well worth a visit. Decaff coffee too.

We headed here after a walk in the area and were delighted to find this little gem. We are vegetarian so it's always good to find a new place. We were greeted warmly and there was a lovely buzz about the place. It soon filled up on what was a miserable, rainy day. The dishes are displayed on a blackboard and there is an excellent choice. It was hard to choose but I had a cheese and Indian chutney toastie and my husband had the ploughman's. The portions are generous and all the ingredients are fresh and well prepared. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a lunch at plenty at the square. The vegetarian and vegan options all looked delicious and they had fresh bread and products to buy too.

As an ardent carnivore, I had serious reservations about going to a veggie cafe. What would I eat??

I really enjoyed my visit and I'm really looking forward to visiting again very soon. I had a small but beautifully formed snack of the best potato wedges with little me mayo and a gooseberry fizz it was very nice.
