Pleasant Grill in Hastings

Food was very expensive (£13 for a kebab no chips or drink). And VERY salty almost inedible. Lamb wasn’t cooked enough, and just not a nice kebab.

The Donner pizza box is AMAZING! The best value for money! Friendly service and highly recommended! Chilli sauce is the best around!

Worst kebab we’ve ever had. The food was awful, Cold, Old and overalll not very nice we only managed to eat not even half a plate. This photo is what we had left of our meal. They used to be very good but now I would never order from them again. Disappointed is an u understatement

Big improvement since last time. Yes, messed up my order so kids couldn't eat it as it was too hot, but rectified rapidly and delivered correct order. Bread was definitely better, not usual shoe sole type but crispy nicely grilled fluffy pie. Improved chips, thinner, cooked in fresh oil. Lamb shish overdone but acceptable for most ppl. Cant fail on that. Overall improved from stingy horrible food to gourmet kebab. If it wasn't for messed up order it would easily be 5 stars. Well done.

I never bother to write reviews but am so annoyed at the poor customer service I felt compelled to write this. I will NEVER use them again! Have tried them several times as initially were good. However this has slowly deteriorated and the last two times were were actually terrible. Todays order was over £17 for a large donnar kebab and chips with salad. They charged an extra £1.50 for each sauce, completely forgot the salad yet again and chips were soggy and and cold and was a small kebab! When we rang to complain he said he couldn’t hear or understand me and it was because they were too busy. They heard me perfectly fine when placing order! If I wanted a replacement it would be over 90 minutes to wait. Such a shame as started so well but enough is enough so will never order from them again and hopefully if other people follow suit they will get the message and sort themselves out.

Food is always tasty and delivered quickly. So many places do rubbish chips, but the ones from here are so good! Chicken kebab is always cooked perfectly👌 Ordering from the website is quick and easy.

Consistently good but even better tonight! Can't afford takeaways like we used to so it's more of a treat these days. Fancied a night off after a long day. 2x combo lamb and chicken shish, 1x lamb shish. All absolutely beautiful and we asked for only cabbage on salads and this was done as requested. I brought a takeaway last night because of all the good reviews I saw online. I was very disappointed. It was overpriced, small portions when I had ordered extra large.The food was disgusting and tasteless. I give the one star to the delivery as that was quick. Will never be buying from here again 😡🤮 and the coleslaw tasted out of date. 😡😡😡😡

Best chicken and lamb wrap in the town aswell as fish and chips never tasted such fine culinary greatness in all my life and the pizza was cooked to perfection better than the Italians 👍

Paid £13.00 for a mixed grill but as I opened it I could smell that the meat was off!, I tasted a piece of Lamb Shish and had to go spit it out, I took it back to the shop and he refused to eat any of it! his own food!!!! and only offers me a £7 refund for his rancid food back that I paid £13 and had to drive it back to him. I assume the widow getting smashed prior tonight was by another food poisoning victim! The worst place ever! Should be shut down!

This is my local kebab shop but I rarely us it. The food is nothing special. They don't make their own bread and salad selection is limited.

We have had many takeaways from here over the years as we live close by and I can honestly say we have never had a bad one I have just finished my meal and had to leave a review the meat is always tasty and moist the salad is always fresh the delivery is always prompt the delivery driver is always friendly and the man that took my order tonight was brilliant he double check it to make sure it was correct I can't fault it

We arrived in Hastings for a holiday quite late and my family needed something to eat quite quickly. The Pleasant Grill was close by and therefore we tried there. Disappointing is not the word!! We tried to order on line (the place advertises on line discount). However when we tried there were time constraints on when you could order on line. We therefore had to ring even though the place was still open for another hour. When we received the food one of the orders was wrong, with a donner kebab sent instead of lamb shish kebab. However the food was quite tasty overall, and the shish chicken very nice. The let down were the chips - awful !! However then the worst thing ever - we found a huge long black hair in the family grill we had ordered. Disgusting !! On ringing the place to complain, the staff just acted as if they couldn't speak english ..... yet they can when you place your order !! Don't bother .... the fried chicken takeway next door is much better !!

Lovely hot tasty food, i was wary at first, but i recomend the fish and chips, very good quality at reasonable prices.

Been back for another hotdog and took one of my neighbour's with me and she absolutely loved the food too she was shocked at how big they were and how nice they were and absolutely outstanding service and food again I love this little polish kitchen

Late (on a quiet Thursday), poor portion sizes, was given wrong order (receipt shows what was ordered), had to wait for half of order to be remade and delivered, was asked to return the wrong part. When the correct order arrived, cold, I was asked for a bag!!! Half the salad only. Driver was nice.

I volunteer for a blind people's group V I P club. We ordered our fish and chips from pleasant grill. Everyone enjoyed it the service was great and the food fantastic would definitely recommend.

Honestly it's pretty good! Would recommend if you're after a good burger/kebab (haven't tried anything else yet)

If we're eating kebabs this is the only place we're go. It's most definitely the best place to eat in Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill and surrounding areas. 5 star all the way.

We have had the burgers, pies and kebabs over last few weeks all were very tasty and delivery was prompt. When visiting shop staff are always very polite and friendly.

We regularly have Pleasant Grill deliver an order to my place at work. The orders are always 100% right, hot and the food is very good. The staff who take the order are always very polite and speak very good English and repeat the order so it is guaranteed to be correct. The shop is always very clean and looks welcoming. This is not just a kebab shop or a pizza shop, or even a fish and chip shop, it is all of thesr things together and each expertly cooked. So you can expect the perfect pizza, perfect kebab, perfect chicken, perfect fish and chips every time. The products that you would expect from a fish and chip ahop are cooked in a proper fish and chip shop frier and the chips are proper fish and chip shop chips and never frozen from a bag. Now the Doner kebab needs a mention.... now I dont actually like Doner as a rule but the lamb Doner here is of very high quality and there is no evidence of the taste being hidden by added herbs. Not at the Pleasant Grill, it tasts brautiful. There next nearest Lamb Doner I like is 150 miles away in Dorchester. Enjoy and well done Pleasant Grill!

We have been having takeaways from here for years. The last time we ordered the chips were awful. Limp, soggy and nearly cold. We thought it might be a one off as their food has always been so good. Tonight we ordered cod and chips and battered sausage and chips. We have never ever had such soggy horrible batter on fish and battered sausage before, it was nasty, and again the chips were limp soggy and cold. It's a shame because the kebabs from here have always been good. We won't be buying from here again. Very disappointed.

Missed dinner and needed some food they were the only place open but were closing but still managed serve me. I have to say it was very good and I will be back

Order a shish with no onions this isnt normally a problem but this time meat was in pitta,normally it's separate,and there was no salad at all. Disappointed.

Had food from this place twice the food is amazing but giving it 2 stars as they don’t and won’t consider delivering to Rye even though I offered to spend £35 and it’s only a 15 minute drive from the shop to Rye let down guys! Try to expand your areas

Had a meal delivered from here have to say it looked the part ordered two large doner kebabs both different in quantity of meat look nice but asked for sauce separately but arrived swimming in it so only had a small amount which was tasty but disappointed overall

Worst place I have ever been to!!it really was,the chips looked like they had been reheated alot and had hardly any potato left in them and the kebab meat was terrible,no exaggeration!it was appalling,it definitely would not go back and if I recommended this place to one of my friends I don't think they would be my freind anymore!!100% a no go zone

7 months ago I reviewed their fish and chips, went back this evening for the same and Wow! Got home opened the box to find a enormous piece of cod , and enough chips, made myself some bread and butter. Man I am so full! Great value for money and under a fiver!!!...... you won't beat that price and quality anywhere! Great job guys, will return. Highly recommended.

Really disappointed with Pleasant Grill. Have ordered many times from this restaurant and received orders quickly and enjoyed. Just ordered online for delivery, got confirmation of delivery time, only to be called by Just Eat 20 minutes later to say the restaurant was cancelling our order with no reason. Our​ order was above the minimum spend, we are within the delivery radius. Pleasant grill this has ruined our evening in and or opinion of this restaurant. Thoroughly disappointed.

Wasn't overly impressed with the last order tbh. The chicken fillet burger was way overcooked, dry and like eating cardboard! The food is usually top-notch from there though so must've been having an off day or something?

We often get fish and chips from here on Fridays and have enjoyed them every time. Good portions of fish - including enough for our cat! - and decent chips.

Lovely kebabs but I had to go and collect them as the delivery time was over 75 minutes! I was only in town visiting so used the app for convenience (which wound up being pretty inconvenient), then was berated for using Just Eat to order... Why are you on it if you don't want people to find your business that way?! Strange town!

Potato "wedges" were potato halves in some seasoning haha my boyfriend looked ridiculous eating pieces of potato with chicken 😂 the quarter burger was amazing!
