Our Local, the best pub in town by a long mile. The BEST pizzas on planet earth unless proved otherwise. Everyone needs to visit this pub once in their life. If they don't they are missing out, but if not, more for us to enjoy. 15**********

If you are going to stay in this charming fish town of Sussex for just a week, and running out of ideas for what to have for a casual and hearty dinner--after you have already stuffed your belly with local fish'n chips, ice cream and doughnuts from the beach, visit this pub for their pizza. Always freshly made by one of the most passionate and dedicated team I have ever seen. And the taste is superb. Perhaps its only worthy opponent is some pizzeria actually in Napoli. Like many good pizza places, the product look unassuming and simple, but rich and nuanced in taste. Even the garlic oil dip is satisfying aromatic. The highlight, is the special, changed almost daily. The team seems never running out of ideas and the combinations offer surprise every time I return. But sure, try the "Bomb" and "Pancetta". The latter is surprisingly innovative, particularly with its refreshing zucchini. The location is a bit far away from the beach for sure, but should you visited the Western Hill, just go down to the Beacon, then you will find this warm, friendly place giving you a warm welcome--warm, because it got a proper pizza oven.

Delicious pizza, good atmosphere, lovely staff

We enjoyed the beers that we sampled. But not the fact that a half pint is £4 and a pint is £6. We like to try different beers and found the pricing unfair. The staff were great.

Love this place. A usual stop whenever we visit my family. My husband will rarely go anywhere else. We turned up today without much thought and ordered 17 pizzas. The chef as usual delivered delicious pizzas and the whole family were very pleased. I particularly loved the porky pig. You cannot go wrong in this place. Everything is just perfect. Good pizza, good beer, good vibes. Thanks to all staff at the imperial. See you soon.

Great pizza, I was not expecting to have a very good pizza inside a pub, beer and service were great too.

Such a nice place and the food is great. The issue is that we have waited around 55 minutes for pizzas the last few times we have been. It just wouldn’t happen in other restaurants. Definitely worth going if you have no plans afterwards and are happy to have a long long wait

The toilets are filthy- really dirty- no toilet roll holder- germs galore. Every table full of previous customers drinks and food. Shabby and dirty in bar

Tasty locally brewed ales and delicious pizzas freshly made and cooked on the premises. Friendly staff and chilled patrons. I get a pizza box for takeaway but a plate or board would be better when eating in.

Have come here many times and it remains exactly the same quality. This is good! A great stop on a night out. Home brewed beer and a few ciders. Does not do larger, has a pilsner. But I love pale ale so this is great ale lovers. And they do great pizzas. Even on Wednesdays pizzas were flying out every 5 minutes! Worth a visit any night of the week.

Great Pizzas and reasonable priced. Menu not too big, which suits me, as dislike being bombarded with too much choice, but varied enough to satisfy most tastes.

Haven't eaten here in a long time. Popped in for a quick pint on the way back from work. Can't remember the servers name but the young woman was very welcoming and really good at her job.

Heard good things about this place as was in town and thought I’d give it a try. Wasn’t disappointed, food was all freshly made with a great selection of local drinks. Guys behind the counter were super friendly and welcoming. If you like your beer & pizzas then look no further.

Great place to hide, eat (the best in Hastings) pizza and hang out. Like everything in this country, prices have risen, but it is still a wonderful place for many visits.

A few good pizza places in Hastings/St Leonards, but these pizzas are by far the best! Collection only but worth it. Don't think I could eat any other Hastings pizza after trying this one, very well, classically made.

What can I say other than by far one the best pizzas I have ever had. Home made pizza dough and home made sauce all with very fresh toppings. The home brewed drinks are also very good and the staff are always amazing. Am very happy to recommend this place.

Visited here for the first time tonight after going to the Courtyard bar several times in the past including tonight. Beer was good as were the staff but I do prefer the Courtyard overall. Sorry guys. Nothing wrong with the Imperial, I just prefer the other one.

I still can't find a way to review the Source park bar so I just have to do it here. Times are very hard for pubs and breweries like this right now but it looks like Brewing Brothers are doing ok. As usual the service and conversation was great and I was made to feel very welcome by both Ben (on Tuesday night) and Holly (on Wednesday night). Long may this bar, and other similar bars, prosper along with supplying great beer at sensible prices. I love you guys.

Have eaten here an embarrassing number of times in 2022. This has become our default venue. The pizzas are exceptional. All of the components are made with care and attention. To watch one of the brothers kneed the dough before submitting it to the flame is a thing of beauty - This is culinary art. The quality of the ingredients is high - cheeses, meats and veg are curated with care. This venue hits all the right notes and the vibe invites one to linger and soak in the moment. Wines and beer have been made with care and selected with attention, the house Red is delightful and reassures you that the brothers have thought about things. The prices are really reasonable and we'd gladly pay more for the pizza and vibe. A real Hastings asset, we love this place.

I couldn't find a way to post for the Brewing Brothers @ the Courtyard in Hastings so had to plump for the Imperial which I haven't visited but definitely will do in the future. This is a fantastic little place with 14 different beers, ciders, lagers on tap. I tried 'just' 4 of the beers and they were of outstanding quality. The lad (a lad compared to me anyway) was very welcoming and gave me a potted history of the area and the brewery. Sorry I didn't get your name but you know who you are and you can tell me next time as I will definitely be back next time I'm in the area. And finally, do what you have to do to get a separate listing on TripAdvisor, you deserve it!

What more do you need? Great beer (brewed on site) and great pizza with an array of interesting toppings. Spot on.

A really nice place to eat if you're looking for somewhere that's a bit off the beaten track, if you like, as I didn't realise this restaurant existed until I went there with some of my Uni friends on Monday evening after Jack in the Green had finished. I'm not sure how long the restaurant's been around for as I kind of wish I'd discovered it before when I was studying in Hastings. I can't recommend this restaurant enough if you're looking for a great homegrown Italian restaurant as the Pizza 🍕 I had was really nice. Although there was a bit of a wait for our food, the service of the waitress who was serving us more than made up for the wait that we had as she was really nice and friendly. Amazing food and great service definitely make this a place I'd come back and visit in the future.

Great microbrewery/pub a little out of the centre. 10 pumps and a pizza kiln. The beer and the pizzas are brilliant, if a little expensive but its still very busy, especially with takeaways. We will return.

You can get a pint anywhere, but not like the pints here. Unique brews, great flavours. Tried their IPAs all were good. They do stone baked pizza too. Awesome little place with lots of character.

Recommended by a friend who has worked in a pizza restaurant before and then in bars for years. It did not disappoint. Great range of drinks, friendly staff, lively and bustling atmosphere, and some of the best pizza I've tasted. Superb.

We were very impressed with the pizzas that we ordered for take away. They were made super quick so I didn't have a chance to try what looked like an excellent range of beers. I liked the vibe of the pub in my brief visit, it's was a shame we were only visiting Hastingd for a couple of days otherwise I'd be back for sure.

A great time in here. Pint of Gallagher's was on the cards for me. Friend had a couple of tasters before settling on their pint. Found a lovely table in the window and enjoyed the ambiance of the place.

The imperial is just an amazing pub serving up home brewed craft beer and ciders, as well as the most delicious pizzas made and cooked on the premises in a clay pizza oven stashed behind the bar. If you are into real ales then you must try this place. I recommend the Marleys stout every time I have one, the first sip never fails an mmmmmmmmm moment

This is a lively location. It specialises in interesting home produced beers. They also sell a very tasty dry Cider. It's an excellent place to have a drink with a fresh wood oven baked pizza. Toilets not especially accessible (particularly for mobility impaired).

Beer good pizza better well worth a visit

We were a party of four that went to this pub to try the pizzas and the brewed-on-the-premises beer. The pub, it must be said has a great atmosphere, and it is not just a youngsters pub but, is in effect, a very good local. It was a clean and well ventilated premises, and  has a 'distressed' style of decor which works and suits it very well. The seats are former keg barrels, and some of the tables are former butcher's blocks. . The toilet facitilities are a hike downstairs and are not for the infirm or lame! The pub offers a range of its own beers, including a dark beer, lagers and a cider to suit all tastes, however, I did find them quite expensive. The pizzas, which are delivered to your table in their own boxes and eaten without cutlery, were very good and reasonably priced too at an average of £11. We drank  red wine while eating and it was good, and reasonably priced. Overall, this is a good place to go for a non-fussy evening meal out, or for a drink with pals with pizzas on hand for anyone who gets the munchies after a couple of pints.

Love the Imperial so much, great atmosphere and the staff are so friendly. The beers are fantastic and it’s amazing being in the same room as the brewery. Very cool.

Great beer. GREAT beer. Nice atmosphere. Pizzas nice. Reasonably priced. Tasted fresh. Just not as good as some others I’ve had. Better than your standard takeaway chains by far. Staff fabulous. Will deffo return for beers again.
