Players Lounge in Basildon

Booked and paid £200 deposit for my grandsons 7th birthday which they have cancelled and not returned the deposit absolutely disgusting

First time at the Players lounge and enjoy it. We had a nice table with good view of excellent TV. £ 6.50 a pint and nearly a tenner for a large vodka and diet coke. We had a couple of platters. Wings are really small but you get a lot of them. Would rather have less, but meatier ones. A family of 4 spent £ 200 and our 2 boys only had a coke each. Good night but expensive for what it is. Also, there was a lack of bar staff during the 2nd half.

Booked a table to have dinner and watch Rugby World Cup semi final. The evening was spoilt by lack of staffing, it was impossible to get a drink at the bar. Only 3 staff working behind the bar. The food came out cold, lack of waiting staff. Food sat waiting to be taken to the table. Such a disappointing evening. No management taking control, no apology for the wait and cold food. Please increase you staffing levels.

Booked for myself and 4 children for the Halloween breakfast pancake and film morning. Arrived at 9:25 as we are aware of parking on site and parked and got up the stairs with no issues and in time. Signed in, and was shown to our seat/ ordered drinks promptly. (Told it was a table service) Asked for a highchair for my 1 year old and they didn’t have any, so we made, do, it was fine. It wasn’t full, with 4 empty tables and 2 empty booths plus 4 ground staff. After being seated for 35 Minutes and no server coming over to us, We went up to order. Servers never came over once, other tables getting service and as it was bottomless, we had to keep going up to place Orders.(we was table 10) Waited 50 mins from seating to receive 1st order and had very restless children. We had no apologies and the whole experience was just extremely stressful and unpleasant for the £50+ we spent. Just a Warning to anyone else going with younger children.. don’t get seated at The back, bring Your own highchair if needed also and things to entertain the kids due to long waits. Such a shame as we was really looking forward to it, and have visited before with no issues

So went here yesterday afternoon for their take that experience bottomless brunch. Well it was a nightmare. Not enough staff to serve the tables my friend waited 35 minutes once the bottomless drinks started for her cocktail. After asking several time for her drink they told us they had run out of cranberry juice and somebody had gone to buy some. They did not offer her another drink whilst she waited. The prosecco I was given was the worse tasting one I have ever had. When she did get her cocktail there was no sorry you had to wait. Then the food was meant to be out by 3pm well we got ours at 4pm only to get cold food it was disgusting. They served some food then I saw them delivering other food to other parties going on in there. I asked for my food to be replaced and they did bring a new lot out only for it be thrown down on the table by a grumpy waitress. A lot of people were complaining whilst I was there so it was not just me.

A friend and I came here on quite a big fight-night and both had a really pleasant time. Drinks were fairly priced and both of us enjoyed the DJ at the end of the night.

Went for drinks with friends. Arrived to be told by a lady on reception, who suddenly appeared, that it was closed for a private function for the owners. No where did it say this on their website, resulting in us coming from brentwood all the way to Bilericay to be turnt away. After we left she then locked the doors! Would be helpful if they updated their website!

First time visiting players lounge, and I was completely impressed by the venue, the screens and the food we got was good (albeit a little sparse). However, the organisation of food delivery and drinks service was shocking, which considering this was a "fully hosted" event was a shame. The servers appeared more interested in their phones and chatting than actually serving drinks. Even when you did manage to place an order, it was a lucky dip to whether it actually turned up. This led to most people going up to the "self Serve" bar, which then completely overloaded the one chap they had put behind that part of the bar (you were absolutely brilliant btw!). Overall nice place, but need to get their act on gear it they are going to go forward with fully hosted events.

My two professional colleagues and I went to this establishment to celebrate. The waitress was incompetent and overcharged us multiple times despite fixed prices being on menu. When we questioned the prices and requested another waitress she fabricated lies that we not only intimidated her but threatened her. I would not recommend this establishment to any professionals definitely for street rats and hoodlums.

My partner and I had a takeaway from players lounge tonight. Ordered on just eat. Food was so lovely and fresh. Arrived exactly when it said it would. My partner had the ultimate player burger (huge!) and I had bacon cheese burger. Portions were massive and well worth the money. I bought the garlic pizza bread with caramalised onion. It was slightly in dry side but that is the only fault I could find. All in all a lovely takeaway!

We visited just before 2nd lockdown. They took Covid precautions very seriously which made us feel very comfortable. The food was fantastic and the cocktails were lovely and all freshly made. My son particularly enjoyed the milkshakes, they looked amazing. We’ve been before and used the gold simulators they’re good fun and offers something a little big different locally. The service is very good and the staff are very polite and helpful.

We had the best meal at Players Lounge today. Service was swift. Staff all wearing masks and very welcoming . Food was amazing , we certainly recommend the sharing platter . So close to Billericay station and car parking on the same road. We have booked another visit for next week already! Compliments to the Chef, staff/ management !
