Platters in Huntingdonshire

We have been eating from Platters since the doors opened many years ago, always fresh and tasty Sandwiches, Baguettes, Soups and Jacket Potatoes made to order not pre-packed. Never had a bad one and always good value for the quality you get. The Chicken Bushfire Baguette is my favourite and is out of this world! Just the best. Even if you just nip in for a cup of tea or coffee and a slice of cake you will not be disappointed!

Great little cafe with a very varied menu. Impressed that they offer the choice of a light, low-fat menu: it can be so difficult to eat out when you need to be careful what you eat. Generous portions, good food and lovely staff.

Literally the best lunch I've had away with work (I work away most weeks of the year). The vegan inferno baguette (hummus, chilli pickle, onions, peppers and fresh chilli) was incredible. So glad to find somewhere selling veggie/vegan sandwiches that aren't full of fake meat. Will definitely return next time I'm here, great value, amazing food

A very warm and welcoming atmosphere, the ladies are very kind and helpful. I order my jacket potatoes often and must say they are delicious and filling indeed! Never been let down.

Best sandwiches and friendly staff

Brought sandwiches and coffee . The bread tasted stale and was of poor quality and with very meagre filling amount, the coffee tasted burnt and wasn't very warm all in all a mediocre experience and very expensive for the quality .

For some reason, despite being a High Street icon for as long as I have lived in Huntingdon, I had not visited Platters up until this year, and I now lament the many fine baguettes and treats that I might have eaten had I ventured in sooner. Without question one of the best sandwich shops locally, offering a huge selection of options and fillings to suit any taste, from simple to complex, and the staff are welcoming, friendly and engaging whilst mantaining prompt service. The baguettes are the perfect combination of soft+crusty, and they have adapted fillings to suit my tastes on request, there are also plenty of sweet options that offer great taste and value. If you're used to sub(way)-par offerings for lunch, go down to Platters instead and have a proper sandwich ;)

Me and my girlfriend went in there today ordered 2 prawn baguettes, my girlfriend said she's used to go to platters after the dentist with her mum, she remembers her mum getting the bonfire baguette. This was one of the best baguettes I've had in a long time I would gladly pay more totally worth the money

Over the years they've served some lovely varieties baguettes and fillings, however recently the last couple of visits I can only assume they're trying to put they're customers on a diet because as of late the portions have been somewhat lackluster in comparison.

Lots of different filings to choose from and they will customise your sandwich/baggette so the way you like it. Much better than subway!

Phenomenal sandwich shop. Been open for 20 years or more. I used to get the Mexican chicken baguette in the 1990s and they still do a crunchy baguette with creamy and spicy chicken filling with kidney beans. Absolutely tremendous and exactly the same as it was in 1997. —— Added to this 3 years later. Just had a delicious Mexican chicken baguette. I ate 2 it was so good. Astonishing that a business like this still exists and delivers on the principles it did 25 years ago. Love it. This is a true diamond of a sandwich shop.

A huge selection of fillings. Sandwiches made to order while you wait. They are very generous with the quantity of filling, and there is a an amazing range. I have something different every time I visit. Price point is around £3.10 for a sandwich and £4.50 for a baguette.

If you want just a really decent sandwich, baguette, jacket potato or salad which is packed with so much filling you have to turf some out, this is your place. Reasonably priced and free delivery to Huntingdon locations if you order Mon-Fri before 11am, we've been ordering here - sometimes for one person, sometimes for the whole building - for years and wouldn't go anywhere else for a cheap and easy bite.

Just bought a 'pizza' ciabatta and got it back to office and it was soggy, tasteless and very unpleasant and had obviously been microwaved. I would not have ordered had I known that it would be anything other than toasted. Extremely disappointing.

For all the years I have lived and worked in huntingdon .I never went to Platters until two weeks ago.I was pleasantly surprised .Lovely staff ,clean and really tasty reasonably priced food .

I had a delicious lunch with toasted panini and potato wedges followed by lattes. Good value and excellent quality homemade food.

Every time I want to go in there I would order a salad or even a bowl of soup and that does fill me up. The staff as in all the girls are absolutely kind, helpful and patient. I feel bad that I don't visit it as often as I should, because of the beads that hang up at the door frame and I have to wait for a member of staff to come and help me, but I am not moaning, as they are all lovely. Hopefully before Christmas I will encourage myself to go in there and eat. I do miss them when I am not there.

Love this sandwich shop. My entire family has found their favorites here. Shrimp sandwich on baguette, Cajun chicken sandwich, Indian chicken sandwich... Wish they would post their hours on the door though. It's always a mystery whether or not they'll be open. They do seem to close after lunch most days. They also offer smoothies but haven't had one yet.

Have been visiting Platters for a long time now but had the best Chicken Bushfire Baguette ever today - amazing! Good value and excellent quality homemade food.

Ordered a beef baguette to be delivered. The beef was shocking. Very thin, fatty, rubbery and very chewy. Had to throw it away. I have ordered before and the beef never used to be like this. You need to change your supplier.

Had a Sicilian chicken sandwich, chicken was tough, sandwich was very greasy and no flavours to speak of. Would not recommend.

We order for several of our staff every week from platters. The food is great, generously filled and delivered to our door at no extra cost. They're very accommodating and always try to please with special requests etc. the lady who runs it is lovely. Would always recommend :)

Lovely fresh food made to order and really good value for money . A great selection of sandwiches and baguettes with a big variety of fillings as well as jacket potatoes , sausage rolls etc and a wide range of drinks . Good selection of delicious cakes all very fresh and all available to eat in or out . Very clean premises and lovely friendly staff . They cater for the individual and also do buffets and meetings etc and always very welcoming and good service .So much better than the big companies and much fresher and healthier .

I can't fault Platters, we often have them delivered to work or I collect from their shop in the town centre. The food is very fresh, they are extremely generous with the fillings and are excellent value, why would anyone would get a pre-made sandwich from their local supermarket when you can get one from here freshly made for about £2.30 with twice as much filling. The salads are also excellent as are the jacket potatoes again all excellent value and the baguettes are even better.
