I visited this little vegan gem a couple of days ago and I have to say it’s such a beautiful and great spot in Kings Heath! I got chatting to one of the owners, Alex, she was attentive, helpful and really lovely. I had the duck wrap and it was so so tasty, perfectly cooked and full of sauce and seasoning with fresh cucumber. I was dubious about ordering a salad because I’ve had rubbish salads from other establishments and this salad was so fresh and tasty and accompanied by a lovely balsamic and olive oil dressing on the side. The coffee was delicious. Vegan or not, this is a lovely spot in Kings Heath that you must try. Alex is incredible, she also rescues dogs and does so much for the community in her spare time! Incredible staff, incredible place. Can’t wait to return. 🤍

So happy we found this vegan gem! I ate here today with my Husband & Daughter the service & food was 10/10 my daughter ordered a 2nd burger as she enjoyed it so much ....we shall certainly be coming back & would certainly highly recommend🙌❤️

We went here for some fresh healthy food, what we got was inedible, highly processed, cold and overpriced rubbish. The "specials" were definitely not special, we had a hotdog, a burger, and chips to share, it was all cold, came out at different times and we ate less than half of it (we were very hungry!) the chips were so salty they were inedible. We also had 2 coffees which were nice, all together it cost over £35!! And when we told the young lad serving us, he didn't seem to care. We will definitely not be going back! Would give it minus stars if possible.

Vegan and vegetarians NEED to try this place, I wanted everything on the menu me and my partner had the vacon and sausage sandwich and it was amazing! Will definitely be coming back soon to try something else which I’m so excited for. Really friendly place and the lady who was working was lovely!

I don’t really eat out, but I always walked past and wanted to try to eat there and it was the best decision I ever made today. Walked in, welcomed in really politely with a smile. Looking at the menu food looked and sounded delicious, so I took a chance and asked for a surprise. OMG the wrap I got was next level, it was their oyster mushroom salad wrap, every bite was different the flavours and taste was amazing. I will definitely be going there again, 100 percent. Thank you so much.

Absolutely beautiful friendly vegan cafe in Kings Heath. No gluten free marked on the menu but they are always really helpful in letting me know what is available. I love the cooked breakfast and the loaded fries.

Got an oreo milkshake and treacle tart to takeaway and it was soo nice😍. The lady serving was also super lovely and chatty. Love this place!! Will definitely go here more and recommend it whether you’re vegan or not.

The only thing that lets this place down is the waiting time for food. Its understandable because its small and freshly made but still could be a little better. The food is excellent. Well seasoned and good portions. Impressive burgers on brioche buns..ooh my. And then theres the cakes. Honestly the best part for me who is an avid cake lover but dairy free. I was super impressed. Ive been twice now and ill be back soon

We've been meaning to come here for ages and finally got to experience this amazing place. Friendly, brilliant decor and the food was incredible, plentiful, and Excellent value for money. Can't wait to visit again and try something else from the menu.

We had lunch for six. We hadn't booked a table, but the staff put two tables together, as well as accommodating a large walking frame. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was excellent! Between us, we had burgers, bao buns, wraps and loaded chips. Everything was fresh and very tasty, and the cost was much less than we expected. A great place to eat.

Amazing food! Good music too and service was excellent! We are not vegan but honestly enjoyed everything we ate! Would strongly reccomend

Found this place on accident and was so glad we did. Lovely lady serving, so joyful. Food was fresh with FANTASTIC portion sizes. That’s what made it excellent. Not this little bits of food you get in places these days. Milkshake was amazing would definitely drive 30 minutes just for that.

First time attending with a large group and the service was good and the food was amazing. Definitely going there again!

My boyfriend and I have been meaning to try here for a while and we were absolutely blown away. The food is so delicious. Very fresh and you could tell it was all homemade. We shared the buffalo wrap and the Reuben sandwich -- both were amazing and so flavourful. We got some sweet potato fries which were very crispy on the outside and pillowy inside. I also had a coffee and it was some of the nicest coffee I've had in Birmingham. The owner/chef is so lovely and kind. She was very warm and made us feel really welcomed and accommodated. I would go back for the service alone! The decor is really cute and inviting too. We also got a free sample of some vegan cream liqueur which was gorgeous! This is definitely now going to become a regular restaurant for me whenever I visit my boyfriend as the staff and food just won me over :D

Beautiful breakfast food. The breakfast roll is amazing, and the service was really pleasant. Will absolutely come again. Especially convenient for EV (electric car) drivers - there are charging points directly outside the door which are super easy to use.

Superb food, amazing service. 9.9/10. Lost 0.1 points because place was quite cold, although it had just opened at 10am. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

We used PlantnPlate to cater for our son’s christening party. We wanted a buffet spread of food and drinks which guests could help themselves to. We were so pleased with the catering, the food was very good, and our family members commented on how much they enjoyed it. Our favourites were the caramelised onion & black olive tart, “chicken” mayo salad wraps and the houmous & red pepper sandwiches; so delicious! Lily made it all so easy to organise. The prosecco choice was perfect too. Thank you so much, PlantnPlate!

Food was nice, small portion for the price, food took a while but staff were nice about it. They did have far right newspapers “The Light” there which made it all feel a bit weird, didn’t really suit the vibe of the cafe but each to their own.

Love the vibes and hospitality but most of all the food! The breakfast is absolutely delicious and I will empty my plate one day as it’s huge! I do not leave reviews often but plantnplate is by far the top vegan food place I have eaten. The art work is fabulous and the top shelf beverage choice is quality! Popped in at lunchtime, first visit. Well cooked food served with care and a lovely ambience. Good chat with vegan co-proprietor as it was quiet. Thoroughly recommend for vegans seeking like-minded folk, and non-vegans who want a nice bite. Having found this little gem of a place we'll be back plenty.

This is the best vegan place in birmingham. The breakfast is fantastic. We love the toast and the burger. It is a very cozy place and food with lots of love. Not commercialize but one will feel like at home. Such a wonderful place to hang out with family and friends with lovely and delicious vegan food. Please do not forget to try their cakes too.

A standard vegan place food wise. Forgot my side order so I was left eating part of the main with no sign of my side dish which I then had to chase up and ask for. Portion sizes are not generous for burgers etc but breakfast is a decent portion. I found my seitan burger bland and it’s pretty pricey for what you get. Small portion for drinks too especially where you can go elsewhere and get better money’s worth. Over priced for what it is and I would not return. Based on other reviews and the aggressive nature with how customers are dealt with I wouldn’t waste my time interacting further as the owners clearly cannot take any constructive points to improve demonstrative of poor customer service.

I was driving past this place and thought I'd try it but being a meat eater wasn't sure what to expect. I was amazed at the quality of the food, the flavours and texture was 10/10 and I will always pop in every time I am in the area. Would highly recommend, even to the non-veg people out there!

Hands down best vegan chicken! So well cooked. I had the vegan chicken Christmas burger with cranberry sauce, Camembert and seasoned fries. It’s been so long that I haven’t had Camembert I actually forgot how good it can taste! The peanut butter mylkshake was awesome (drank too quickly, forgot to take a picture!). Also got some pre-made sea moss gel which is great for 97% of the minerals we need. Super cute cafe, lovely staff, will definitely be back!

Vegan eatery in King’s Heath. I enjoyed the Mega Breakfast Burger and, as takeaway, the Great Plant and Plate Burger. Choice of patty from vegan chicken, beef and veggie - I had the excellent veggie patty (beans, corn, diced vegetables), with cheese slice and, rather than a bun, a nice, big salad under the patty. The Brownies are good and gooey. Hot and cold drinks, milkshakes, beers and cocktails available. Chocolate and other treats for sale, as well as some personal care products.

The food was absolutely delicious. We had deep-fried oyster mushrooms that were out of this world. Excellent milkshakes and a delicious tofu and avo sandwich. The wrap was also amazing.... The dillo visit I had the breakfast which was awesome. I swapped out my baked beans for some extra 'tofu egg'. My wife had the 'buffalo chicken' wrap and we shared the dirty fries. Amazing

Lovely quaint place, lovely staff and a manager who is so passionate about her place. What is unique is that they grow produce themselves too. So if you are in Kings Heath, stop going to the multiple fast food places, that only serve up grease and leave nothing but litter and try this place

I eat here regularly for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast burger and buffalo “chckn” wrap are firm favourites of mine. Staff are friendly and knowledge about all the food they have made with lots of things home made / grown. Excellent value for money. The specials change regularly and are always delicious. Plant and plate has a very welcoming feel and is always clean and tidy.

Lovely food and atmosphere. Had the Halloween burger which was AMAZING, they were also very accommodating to gluten free. Will return:)

Sunday 18 th sept Had a lovely moroccan stew with couscous, complimented with a large french red 😍 the stew had home grown organic cougettes ...great flavours.. really kind staff which is always a bonus

Plant n plate has helped me not only change my lifestyle, but helped me gain confidence im a professional boxer and i have meal preps from them…. Not only is the food delicous but the energy levels are high through out training…. Im not even vegan but people would think i am vegan due to eating from plant n plate the food is great in camp and out of camp…. They have not only been with me from the start of my professional career but helped me loose 20kg before i turned pro…. Ive had many friends that have visited the shop and they cant complain about the food they have turned in to regular customers…. Big up plant n plate

Bad experience with this place. The burger was difficult to eat and like rubber. The chef was rude. Will stick to The Early Bird in future.

I visited with a friend, the meal was really nice I had a vegan hot dog, the bun was food dyed green, super cool and tasty my friend had a burger she enjoyed it, sweet potato fries where awesome. There was a mix up with the bill and she charged us for someone else's meal on top of ours when paying for cake, but they were super sweet about it and quickly refunded the difference. I would visit again for sure :)

Absolutely love this place, best vegan food and hospitality in Birmingham, I love the fact that they make different specials each week and their food is fresh and they also have a good range of chocolates and vegan toiletries. The Mexican hotdog is one of my favourites but I love everything that I’ve tried. Highly recommend

I hopped into plant n plate for a quick lunch stop on my way home. I ordered to take away. This was my first visit, the atmosphere was really nice, the staff were down to earth and super friendly. The wait time was reasonable too. There was a collection of lovely paintings and ormiment things that are sold by local artists I assume in the shop. I got home with my food and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I ordered a chickn free wrap with buffalo sauce. Super tasty! And actually so much better than I expected. I'm not a vegan but I actually enjoyed my vegan lunch yummy...

I found this amazing place via Google search what vegan places are near me. This place did not disappoint the food was delicious, generous portions and it was made fresh, I ordered the special which was oyster mushroom style chicken burger with skin on fries, onion wedges which were my fave it had a garlic seasoning on it was so delicious, my burger was epic it was in a brioche bun and again portion was good. I finished off with blueberry loaf cake and that was morish. I spoke to the owners who served us 2 lovely ladies and they were so engaging and spoke all things vegan. I will be back here most definitely and it's beneficial to support local independent businesses, the food was quality I 100% recommended this place go check it, thank you so much for the hospitality and serving us a lovely lunch ☺️

Delicious food. Had small breakfast of scrambled tofu, with vacon, sausage, toast and baked beans. They serve lovely smoothies. Good friendly service. Good atmosphere in a nicely decorated space.

Finally a decent vegetarian/vegan friendly restaurant in the area. Nice variety and tastefully made seitan and tofu based with rich Carribbean flavour. Thanks!

🌟UPDATE… I visited again. I can confirm that Plant n Plate prepare the best Birmingham vegan: 🦈Non-alcoholic beer battered soya. 🌭Mexican Hotdog 🍰Blueberry Cheesecake. If you love Vegan Food and Pink Paint, you’re going to love Plant N Plate. I popped in just to have a nose. The staff member was happy to chat about the amazing offerings at Plant N Plate. She recommended their Vegan Fish and Chips, bratwurst and meaty burgers. They have different themed events during the week and daily specials to keep proceedings as vibrant as the pink paint job.

I love the staff the food is good too. So I keep coming to the best vegan place by vibe in the city.

This is by far the best place to eat in King's Heath - the staff are so lovely and friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious and very affordable. A brilliant vegan place, and I'm not even vegan, and I'm not missing anything. We even consider eating anywhere else on the high street since eating here for the first time. Not a bad word to say.

This is my vegan best friends hang out and I'm open to trying new places so we ended up trying here - the cafe was beautiful, absolutely amazing vibe on a cold dull wintry day outside was full of colour, warmth and love inside! Tried the colourful bagel with tofu scrambled egg stylee dish with a coffee and was different but really tasty! The girls/owners were just amazing, had a good conversation and laugh with them but great service and it's a really cute place:) will be going again for sure, might be my new local hangout ;) lol. Stayed in to eat but took away a pistachio milk cake (never tried anything like it before but beautiful!!) And an oreo cake to take out - fab cafe, really friendly, beautiful decor and amazing food, thank you all at Plant n Plate:)

been visiting on Saturday. Lovely place, but still quite a few things need attention. First our meal (burger) and chips were served without any cutlery and sauces. I would expect a burger to be served with a chips, but you need to order it separately. Paid £28 for the order (two burgers, two portion of fries and two teas) and to be fair it was rather expensive if you compare to the competitors. Burger looks rather poor for the money, too. The waiter was very polite, and general setting was clean and nice.

So so lovely!! My friends and I had lunch here and loved it. Food was great, the vibe was really nice, staff were great. Highly recommend and will be back :)

Excellent service, delicious food and lovely setting. Love their tofish Thai red curry, probably my favourite curry ever!!! The people are so welcoming, caring and thoughtful. The quality of the food is always excellent. Love their smoothies and burgers. Their cakes are great, especially the cheesecakes. What an absolute gem in Kings Heath, very lucky to have this here.

Fabulous cafe and restaurant that just so happens to be vegan too. Breakfast was sensational, scrambled tofu, artisan bread and super tasty vegan sausages. What a find in Kings Heath! The owner was lovely, passionate about good food and we can’t wait to visit again.
