Planque in Hackney

Amazing experience the food was divine ( and I don’t say that lightly ) . Especially poignant for me was, how good they were for coeliacs ( every chef’s nightmare )I was able to eat most of the small plates … Oyster with elderflower & vinegar granita , Beef tartare, pepper sauce and crisps were my fav’s . Wine was delicious too

Wow! I loved everything about this place. The gorgeous, modern decor that took advantage of the railway arch location. The perfectly attentive service. The long bar, perfect for a solo diner, where you could watch the staff in action. The delightful by-the-glass wine list, wonderfully curated and yet very accessible. The warm service, and a server willing to answer questions and make recommendations. And the food! Smoked mussels on toast were elegant and subtle in their smokiness. And the steamed fish with tomatoes was one of those dishes I will remember years from now--perfect cookery and cuisine that exemplified showcasing clean flavors and exceptional ingredients. Cannot wait to return!

Absolutely amazing food! Due to the sharing dish style of the menu, we were, as a group, able to try quite a number of the dishes and everything was perfect. Texture and flavour of all dishes was balanced and interesting, each dish was special in itself. I don`t eat a lot of meat and normally no no innards and no pork but had to make an exception there - we had pork as well as sweetbread and it was so well made! Also, the restaurant is not large but amazingly spacious, as in that a lot of space was left in between tables, while the atmosphere overall was still cozy and warm.

Quelque peu déçu. Beaucoup de plus à ce restaurant. Mais il manque beaucoup de choses pour avoir un 5 étoiles. Je dirais que 3 je suis un peu sévère, mais ça peut déplaire à certains clients. L’endroit est super, et la y’a le commune super intéressante pour faire des rencontres aléatoires. La liste de vin est super mais la nourriture n’est pas de niveau selon moi des prétentions que l endroit laisse prévoir et je trouve les critiques un peu trop généreuses. Le service était inconstant parfois. Jamais les serveurs ne sont venu pour remplir nos verres de vins.
