Great fun little bar. Interesting cocktails, excellent craft beer selection.

Any friend of mine coming to town, I take them here because I know that not only will they feel right at home, they'll be getting to experience something which is geninually unique. The beer on tap is amazing... the cocktails are outstanding and the food is genuinely some of the best street style food outside of London. It's all excellent. The staff are super friendly, the crowd is a wonderful mix of people that just say "we're open for all". And when Jessie is on the playlist it's even better (🤩). So much love for this place. 2 years in, it's still utterly beyond wonderful x

Fabulous atmosphere, simple and chilled, great music, attentive and friendly staff. Interesting drinks and food on the menu. We went for a cocktail masterclass and had an absolute ball! This was donated by the owners to myself and friends as part of "something to look forward to " charity. Very generous spirit, but this is also reflected in how the owners respect their staff. Fun bar, go try it out.

Great bijou place with good beer selection and bags of atmosphere.

Driving through the Cotswolds and get a flat tire that took 4 hours to tow. Get into Cheltenham at 9:30pm, drop our bags and head out to eat. First 3 places were done for the night. Got here at 9:59 and the fantastic server said you got 1 minute. I was hesitant to order right as a kitchen was closing knowing that feeling working in one myself. But they were more than accommodating. Got some tacos which were amazing and it happened to be Oktoberfest so got some great beer as well. Love places like this...treat everyone like a local and honestly everyone has fun. Can't recommend enough!!

Had a great time at Planet Caravan in Cheltenham, a cool spot for simple but flavorful Mexican dishes that are perfect for sharing. The menu isn't too complicated, but everything we tried was packed with taste, making it a great place to head with friends. They’ve also got a wide range of beers to choose from, and it’s always changing, so there’s something new to try each time you visit. I went for a few of the more unusual beers—didn’t love all of them, but I appreciated the chance to step outside my comfort zone and try something different. The staff were super friendly and knowledgeable, happy to chat and make recommendations based on what you like. The venue itself is brightly colored, laid-back, and has a great vibe—definitely a fun spot to hang out. I also loved seeing that they run "Talk Clubs," a men’s mental health initiative, which I think is a fantastic way to get people talking and connecting with the ups and downs of real life. Overall, Planet Caravan is a great choice if you’re looking for a relaxed place with tasty food, good drinks, and a friendly atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to see what new beers they have on tap and enjoy more of those delicious Mexican dishes.

Amazing margaritas!! Such a nice vibe, they have card/board games you can play. The food smelt great - will defo be back to try it and to try more of the drinks menu!

So far, the closest thing to real Mexican food in Cheltenham. Fair prices, excellent friendly service, nice atmosphere and great music. Had a really good time, go try them!

We love planet caravan and have been quite a lot now! The food is always sensational - literally incredible and the atmosphere and margs are something else. Such a fun community feel too, if you’re in or near Cheltenham you HAVE to come here!

What a place!! I've heard so many wonderful things about Planet Caravan from friends and family and had high expectations. I can safely say these were met and then some. Above and beyond doesn't quite cover it. Incredible service from the moment you arrive (even on a crazy busy Saturday evening!). Drinks and food arrive in record time and are beyond delicious. So good that we had to have a second round of the pretzel! Amazing value for money. I genuinely couldn't be more impressed. What a fabulous place. Can't wait to come back to Cheltenham just to visit here!! Owners and staff alike should be incredibly proud of themselves - I've worked in hospitality for 10+ years and this is by far one of the coolest and best places I've ever visited. Well done all! X

Excellent little craft beer and Mexican street food establishment. Great service from the staff, with 16 craft beers on tap plus numerous cans and bottles. The beers I tried were amazing and the food is also outstanding.

Everything was amazing. It is such a vibe, the food is amazing, and staff are super friendly. The corn ribs are out of this world. I loved the playlist and they have an epic cocktail menu. One of the best places to eat and drink in Cheltenham.

This place is brilliant! It’s small but perfectly formed! A great, changing selection of craft beers and love the cocktails! Paloma ❤️ Always good tunes and a nice, friendly vibe. We’ve been a lot for drinks (and the retro crisp selection. Who doesn’t love Snaps & Scampi Fries!) Not eaten there yet. It’s always looked good and I’ve heard good things, so we will at some point. Small but fantastic place for beer, cocktails and food on two floors. During busy times can be right for space. Great selection of beers. Tacos and bao bun were delish! Staff was excellent and we had a great time

Really excellent food and cocktails, well presented. They have small tapas type dishes, I had two and they were both delicious. One of the best cosmos I've had too. As the name suggests the venue is quite small inside, but this adds to the vibe of the place. Ideal for a small group or couple. They have extra seating upstairs you can book. Music on, moderately loud but not so loud you can't hear anything - think they got it about right for the atmosphere they were going for. Will be back!

My partner and I have been 2-3 times at this point. While the vibe is nice and food is ON POINT, it’s the hospitality that does it for me. I asked for a marg with half sugar and was aghast that the bartender remembered my preference 3 drinks later. We were interested in the squash and they made it appear in the taco favorite combo meal. It’s the best Mexican food and best classic margs you will find Cheltenham. Very quickly this has become the hang spot we have been desperate for. (We are American)

A small pub with a large range of beers - sixteen on the taps in front of the counter. The range will vary. A nice atmosphere. Does have a pub dog who trots up and down but doesn't bother anyone. I would definitely go back, to try the food also.

Wow 😯🫶 🍸 Super cute place making unique low and non alcoholic cocktails - I had a "smoked banana" 😋. Yes, they do also have a huge selection of beers and all the cocktails come as standard or virgin. Street food menu looks tasty too.

First time here and won’t be our last as it’s a great little find. Staff and food were brilliant. Especially loved the Pork tacos and Korean bao buns.

Love, love, love this place. Small, cosy, vibrant and cool, with great, friendly service to boot. Their small plates are dripping with flavour and it's a welcome addition to Cheltenham's wide range of eateries, allowing guests to experience the culinary joys of Mexican street food. It's a must-visit gem! Will be visiting with friends again soon.

Wow, 16 diffent keg beers , spirits, wine, food and cocktails!!!! Staff know what they are selling and taking about. It's warm not the beer that's cold !!!! , great music and a seating area upstairs too. Toilets are clean and well stocked, board games and dog biscuits and I think you can choose a record and play it too. Awsome place.

You can tell the husband and wife duo who started planet caravan have poured their heart and soul into this place. It’s like no idea was ever a bad idea, and every idea has been executed perfectly. 16 draught beers in a place big enough for probably like 32 people? Why not. We’ll just get a canning machine to bag up any leftovers and make THE BEST beer cocktails to help even the most strict beer haters drink the beer (the lagerita is my favourite drink of all time and that’s no exaggeration!) doing food in a kitchen as big as the toilet? Why not. We'll make simple but mad tasting drinking food that doesn’t take loads of prep space. Fanny bombs? Yeah f it. We’ll sell fanny bombs and cheer every time someone orders some. It honestly makes me happy every time I’m there. No egos, no judgement, just a lot of fun, friendly staff and insane food and drink.

All hail planet caravan 💖 🙌 their cocktail & beer menu is unbelievable, the creativity & flavours are so delicious. They’re also happy to make the cocktails alcohol free, we had the strawberry lemonade which was damn tasty. 🍓 🍋 🍹 We ordered a plethora of deliciousness including loaded Doritos, tacos, corn ribs, braised beef loaded roasties nomnomnom. It was all so fresh & tasty 👌 Service is always brilliant too & the decor is so fun. Overall my fave place in Cheltenham for great food & drink with a relaxed vibes & buckets of personality. … I hear the Hetty’s Kitchen brownies are pretty epic for pudding too 😏

I would highly recommend the pinapple sharer cocktail -- not only was it delicious, the container it came in got a good laugh from the hen party next to me! I was on a pretty awful date here but that plus the friendliness of the staff made it worthwhile, albeit it was pretty crowded!

Really disappointing. £18.50 each for the taco sharing feast. 8 tortillas 3 small bowls of meat and 1 bowl with some onion, lettuce and sweetcorn. No where near enough to fill 8 tortillas. Nothing like the photos. Unlimited’ tortilla chips - had to go and ask for a second bowl.

Smashing place. Interesting and unusual cocktail list, long list of craft ales, brilliant music, not too loud (nowhere to dance but I danced in my chair!). Didn’t try the food but will definitely be back. A little gem to find in Cheltenham.

What a great find in Cheltenham! Right, so we didn’t eat but will definitely be back as menu looks amazing! I had the burned banana margarita .. it was so delicious, then tried a lagerita, equally tasty! The decor is super funky, love the bathroom too (yah I’m weird like that) definitely a woman’s touch .. if I’m allowed to say that anymore (just did) .. music loud but good, staff friendly..concept brilliant. Highly recommend and think everyone should support local businesses rather than all these chains! Good luck guys and we will definitely be back! 🍻🍹🍸🌮🎵💖

Planet Caravan is an absolute 10/10 it gives Brighton/Bristol vibes and it does wonderful street nibbles and AMAZING margaritas. The decor is really cool and the staff equally as nice, if you’re looking for a good place to go then i definitely recommend here

The tacos were amazing, can’t fault them at all. The vibe was very good. Our lunch was slightly ruined by a large group of drunk women who couldn’t stop banging on about the “fanny bomb” cocktails. Oddly when we went to order the same round of drinks a second time it was charged at a different price. Owner’s dog running around the place which whilst well behaved is always a no-no for us in such a confined restaurant environment.

Big Vibes at Planet Caravan. Honestly it's all about the well selected range of drinks here. WIth a wide wall of ever changing taps and a cheeky little bit orange wine, Planet Caravan is somewhere that comes to mind when I think I really want to appreciate the enjoyment of a tipple. The service is cool and casual and the food is well put together, not overly complicated and especially fun. Somewhere where taking photos for review slipped my mind because I too engrossed in the experience of being there... and this was only on a Tuesday evening!

We came on a pop up kitchen night so didn’t get to try their menu! Music is loud so quite hard to have a conversation. Seating is quite cosy / squashed upstairs. Amazing range of beers 🍻 on tap! Staff are really friendly

What a gem of a place! We went with a small group on a Friday night and had a great time. The staff were amazing and the whole place felt like it was buzzing. The place is so cozy too. Not to be missed.

We had cocktails early evening on a Saturday night. The drinks were very good and we were going to eat here too but the music was too loud and we couldn't have a conversation. Great atmosphere but we must be getting old!

Great beers! Fantastic Mexican themed food when we were there, and friendly service. What more could you want? Music? It's there. 70s themed playlist while we stopped for a couple of hours. More? Dog friendly? Yep. Three dogs there that Saturday afternoon. You want more? Decoration? A big yes again. We thoroughly recommend the place for beer, food and fun. Thanks Planet Caravan. Really lovely place. Pop up kitchen Po Boys were fantastic. Place was really really busy and a little squashed. Probably could have benefited from another member of staff. But the staff they had were really friendly and accommodating and place is still well worth a visit.

Walked in and thought was in wrong place. TV screens promoting cocktail bar (and have to say some very impressive cocktails being poured). Small space. Then I noticed the 15 or so beer taps representing all styles from 0% to 16% ABV. The beer is amazing and yet it doesn't define this crazy place. The food looked incredible. Loud but not too loud music upstairs on Saturday only serves to capture the mood. I really wanted to hate it here and yet I find myself loving it. First rate service. Sister pub of the equally wonderful (and very different!) nearby Beer Favourites.

Came for the ‘bring your own vinyl’ night on a Wednesday. Fantastic atmosphere and great that you can bring your own music and also listen to everyone else’s. We had some sharing tacos and a portion of the Doritos, really good portion sizes for the price. Will definitely be back!

First time coming and a lovely experience. Friendly boxer dog to greet us woof woof. 🐕 order the nachos and a whole large bag of doritos came out with all the tasty topping! One of the tucked away hidden gems that only the locals will tell you about. Great beer selection and varied music throughout the week, even hosting a vinyl night on Wednesdays. Firm favourite already!

Run, don’t walk to come and eat here. Run by a husband and wife team, everything from the cocktails to the food was amazing. The service was superb, recommendations were delicious and all fantastically reasonably priced. Cannot recommend enough.

So good! The owners were away but I absolutely cannot praise enough the team working in their absence; young lad running around and lass running the bar had an absolute handle on a really busy night of trade, dealing with curveballs (including my own smashing a glass - sorry!) with absolute poise and professionalism. The food was outstanding, and the bar itself is a top class, cosy little hive of activity (and with good reason. Well done to the team working a busy evening impeccably and well done to the owners for shining a beacon of cool independent business spirit in Cheltenham. A right little hidden gem small as this place is the service and atmosphere are great large selection of craft ales but what is hidden upstairs is where it is at! The food here is amazing soft tacos beef rib doritos loco all great options that we tried which were the perfect accompaniment to a round of largeritas yes that is spelt correctly go check the menu!! See you again soon we loved it.

A great bar, with a great soundtrack playing all through the day/night. If you're ever in the area you have to try the Pint a colada, it's an absolute game changer

I cannot recommend this place enough. Amazing selection of beers that change regularly, great food (that goes perfectly with beer) and knowledgeable staff. If you are around you should definitely pay a visit.

As a beer fan, this is very welcome in Cheltenham. The selection is great, and those line 16 beers are extremely naughty. Service is always great and the addition of Bruno to the evening is an added bonus!

This place is incredible. It's kinda small but the atmosphere is great. The selection of music, 70s punk, fits well with the theme of the furniture and art and just feels very friendly and relaxing. The staff was extremely welcoming and helpful. The array of beers is also super impressive, 16 different beers on draft, including local and some from the surrounding area. Definitely worth dropping in for a pint or two.

Visited for Sunday lunch yesterday. Seriously tempted to never bother with faff of making a roast at home again! Delicious sharing platters - beef short ribs even better than mine 😂 and love the potatoes. Husband also delighted to see a Vienetta making a comeback for pudding. If you haven’t been to Planet Caravan yet you need to go.

Went for cocktails and tacos last weekend and loved the experience. The chef is a legend: it was nice being able to see him at work from the upstairs tables and his food is delicious. Flavorsome vegetarian options (I'm a meat eater). The only things to bear in mind is that's it's a very small place, so most of the tables are quite small. The music can also be a little bit loud, even during the early evening. Great choice of tracks, though.
