The cafe style ambience belies the gourmet style food which is served. A mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes - all presented beautifully and tasting delicious. Lovely, friendly service. Most enjoyable

It’s sad I’m having to write a negative review as there is much to love about this place; however certain things cannot be over looked, attitude is right at the top.We had several very nice plates but a dish of over cooked lamb chops (£19 for 2) was met with such an amazingly arrogant response by all the staff, including (who we assumed to be the chef showing at us) it ruined what could have been a great lunch - to their credit the dish was removed from the bill without prompting, but the rude attitude killed the vibe, with all the family staying they would not return - sad

So rude. Restaurant was open with people inside and no signs on the door. Went to the counter and waited as the man there scrolled through his phone and didn’t look up. When he finally did I said “hiya, are you still serving coffee?” He looked at me like I was mad and then just waved me off saying it was a private party and went back to his phone… how was anyone meant to know that? No where did it say that and there’s no reason to be so dismissive and rude.

Very good place with great tapas-style food. We had delicious dips to go with bread, tasty croquettas, beetroot & feta salad, roasted harissa aubergine, and the roast cauliflower. The latter was the only slightly disappointing dish and could have done with a flavour boost. Friendly service, and good value; well worth a visit!

We loved this place, the building has been beautifully converted and there’s a nice chilled atmosphere. The staff were friendly and clearly enjoying themselves and our food was absolutely delicious. Drinks are good too and it’s all so reasonably priced. The only downsides are lunch not starting till 1, and the lack of vegan options (none). They made the veggie brunch vegan, which was really tasty but as is often the way, just a veggie option with bits taken away-and the staff didn’t seem to happy about it. Will definitely be back, better thought out vegan options would be a big bonus!

Don’t chase the high profile reviews which are achingly trendy and usually too busy and loud. This is a gorgeous local restaurant: a beautiful conversion of an old railway station. The food is outstanding , original and beautifully presented. Service was fantastic notably letting us taste wines before ordering bottles. And to top it all, reasonable pricing for modern times. Can’t wait to go again! Bravo.

A small but interesting menu allowing choice between tasting dishes through to substantial main courses served in a splendidly restored former station booking office. Great wine list and free tastings.

Tasty and reasonably priced deliciousness! Stopped in for early dinner/late lunch on a Sunday, initially thrilled just to find somewhere serving at a strange hour (about 4.30pm). Was disappointed by a lackluster welcome (non-existent, to be brutally honest) and slightly frightened service, but my goodness, the food was incredible. The lengthy wait was totally worth it (amazing octopus, short rib, aubergine mains) and the service improved over time. In fact, the server went from frightened to sweet as our meal progressed (perhaps due to the serving assistance offered by the chef). Definitely 10/10 for the food (bravo, chef).

What a gem! I went there for lunch for the first time and loved it! We got the sea bass to start and octopus and seafood risotto as mains. Everything was delicious! The sorbetto and cheesecake mouse were to die for! The couple who served us were super nice and kind. Would definitely recommend! They also do brunch but it's only until 1PM.

Really good addition to the restaurants and bars in the area. Staff were friendly and nice, fresh atmosphere. Food (meat board and feta salad) and wine were all excellent but looks great for breakfast options too. Will be returning!

Very nice atmosphere and design. I came here for lunch and the food was delicious, my oat latter was perfect. The menu has many options - from sandwiches to tasty hot dishes with particular creative vegan section. Definitely will come back again soon!

Unfortunately this must be one of the worst italian restaurants I’ve ever tried. The bread was cold and didn’t come with olive oil or butter, gnocchi wasn’t good and in general the vegetarian options weren’t my favorite. My partner got the lamb dish and didn’t enjoy it either. Definitely would not recommend.

My daughter and I stopped here for lunch. We shared a plate of trofie with pesto and a pizzetta with speck and potato. The trofie was al dente and the home made pesto was delicious. The pizzetta had a lovely crust and was adorned with thick slices of speck. This restaurant is part deli and sells a variety of meats, cheeses and wine to go. We had a glass of Malvasia each, which was light and refreshing and inexpensive at £5.25 for a 175ml serving. The service was friendly and attentive and I can't wait until I can eat inside. A really lovely place for lunch.

No more the quality and flavour of food they had before the change of ownership. FABRIZIO'S on Higate Hill is as good as ever

This place is a hidden secret and by me writing a review about it, half of me hopes that it still stays a secret, but it's just too good to not tell others about. Go for the coffee, I haven't found a place anywhere near or far that takes the attention and care for their coffee as this place. I've only been for breakfast but I've been meaning to go back and try all their other stuff because it all looked so good. It's just worth the drive, early in the morning take the other half for a quiet, delicious breakfast and you'll keep going back.

The food was delicious, especially the burrata, but the pasta portions were quite small. Also we were celebrating a birthday, which I did specify to them when I made the reservation, however they completely ignored it.
