Zia Lucia in Islington

The best pizza I have ever had in the world! The pizza tasted amazing! Made with unique spices and fresh ingredients. I came there alone and had their most popular pizza, thought I would take away and share with friends but I finished the whole thing! Definitely worth trying their pasta & desserts with friends next time! Service and environment are also very good, not feeling lonely at all.

I was travelling and had a stop in Holloway looking for a place that had gluten free food, and jumped in Zia Lucia's restaurant. The staff was very kind even tho the place was fully booked and busy (football match). I asked for gluten free options (as they show on their menu online/ google ) but the lady told me that the gluten free pizzas and pastas are cooked in the same oven and pan as non gluten free... which was a bit sad since Celiac/Gluten Free it's an illness that needs to be taken very seriously and not as a fashion trend. Gluten free food must be cooked in seperate pans or ovens if you're allergic or intolerant...and the point of my review is because more often (we) Celiac people adapt to measures that are risky for our health just because we're in company of friends or don't want to be too picky, but we need to in order to make restaurant aware of the illness. Apart from that seems a really nice place to eat in; the staff, again, was very nice, and i would recommend it if you're around that area. Please take it as a constructive criticism to upgrade :) After reading your reply: this makes me realize that you don't take the illness seriously and professionally because maybe you get costumers that decide to not care about contamination. Gluten free food has to be cooked in separate areas. So if your place can't have an area for gluten free simply don't put the news online and make money on that.

Went with the recommendations from Connor, our fantastic waiter, and we weren't disappointed. Great pizzas and great service. We'll definitely be back.

Our family had 4 pizzas (2 GF, 2 Traditional base). The Gluten Free pizza is the best quality anywhere. Have tried lots before at other "similar" small chain and chain pizza places; these are miles ahead of the pack. Next level taste and texture - As for the traditional (gluten) pizza these were amazing too, just like being in Italy (we had a blanco style with red onion, mushrooms and olives) - perfect. Customer service also absolutely wonderful, friendly, polite, helpful. I would highly, highly recommend Zia Lucia Islington branch.

Wanted to go here for a while only to discover they don't accept cash? Such a let down from what seemed like a nice place, any business that doesn't accept cash obviously doesn't care about their customers so I certainly won't be going back any time soon

Why is everyone raving about the pizza here? It's heavy sauce, dough is soggy by the time it comes out, and it's just dripping. I went twice thinking that the first time was just a fluke and nope. If you like saucy pizzas, I guess this is the place for you?

Food was amazing and the wine was great just unfortunate that the service was slow, should not have to ask to be served each time and reminded several times about drinks.

Quality is not as good as before. They mixed up my order and gave me someone else’s pizza. Which contained PORK. Which we don’t eat in our household. Called them up and they didn’t even care of try to help or offer me anything. Had to go out and buy something else for my daughter, who was at this point very hungry. Just eat were not very helpful either. Will not be using either of them again.

Great service, terrible food. Pizza had no cheese, the carbonara had no sauce, they waiver the bill on our food because it was so bad.

Superb branch of Zia Lucia. The only dish I didn't like was the pannacotta, which I thought was bland. The service was lovely, the restaurant was very clean, and the pizza was perfect. Absolutely enjoyed it.

For a coeliac like me this is a godsend. Such good pizza with a gluten free base. However sometimes the dough comes out raw.

Usually one of my favorite pizzerias in London, but my recent delivery experience (Oct 26, 7.45 pm) was disappointing. Ordered 4 pizzas that arrived partially burnt and poorly proved, and simply didn't taste good - a stark difference from their usual standards. Hope this was just an off day.

El champán de ajo, el champán picante, el aceite de chile y el aceite de ajo complementaron la pizza maravillosamente. Trona dada a la llegada sin tener que preguntar. El servicio fue atento y rápido. Bien hecho! Sin duda volveré para probar la pasta.

A great pizza spot with a variety of dough options, which is particularly fun! Delivery from here is great, their pesto is delicious. Pizzas are sauce heavy, wood fired, and easily the best crust in London!

Premesso che la pizza in se per sé era buona. Il servizio era pessimo. Arriviamo nella pizzeria alle ore 9:46 in quanto non essendo del posto,cercavamo la pizzeria. Veniamo a sapere che la possibilità di sedersi ai tavoli chiudeva alle 9:45,mentre la pizzeria prendeva gli ordini take a way fino alle 10. Per solo pochi minuti di differenza,non ci diedero la possibilità di sederci. Per via dei fatti ci rimase solo l'opzione di prendere una pizza d'asporto. Per questo motivo abbiamo dovuto mangiare su delle panchine davanti al locale,al gelo. Precisiamo che c'erano anche due bambini piccoli.

An hour long wait for a pizza when the restaurant is half empty.

Had a lovely dinner which my young cousins particularly enjoyed. The kids menu is great and they really loved the chefs hats. The staff are very attentive and the food is really good. The pizzas are huge and the pasta is well cooked with unusual choices of sauce.

Lovely service for our party of 8 adults and 5 kids, great entertainment provided for the kids and the food was wolfed down - not our first time here for a big gathering and have never been disappointed! Highly recommend!

This pizza used to be good when I first tried it years ago. Had it again a few months ago and it was terrible. The dough, the condiments, the cheese. It was pretty awful. They changed management or pizzaiolo and it’s no longer a proper Italian pizza.
