I did admittedly eat here 1.5 years ago but am reviewing nonetheless as—still now—it has the rare distinction of being “the worst restaurant we’ve ever been to [in London]” for me and my partner. We were seated 15 minutes after our reservation time, ordered drinks, waited over 20 minutes to get the drinks (including with us reminding). Once sat we were also continually shuffled up and down the bench seating to make room for other diners. Stone-cold, hard focaccia to follow, again after a sizeable wait. My own pasta was passable—offensive only in as far as it promised some imagination and delight and delivered … no taste (a sweetcorn agnolotti I think that no longer seems to be on the menu?). My partner was served something I can only describe as a concoction. Supposedly sausage, mushroom, cream and port sauce. Genuinely inedible. Rotten-tasting. I certainly hope it has improved since but as it was ... I would very rarely leave a negative review, as I think it is generally unfair to restaurants. But in this case (1) had either food or service been good I would’ve held off (2) I consider it to present such poor value for money, such a cynical restaurant model/dining experience that I felt compelled. Please note that I think there are many good “modern Italian” restaurants in London, and there are those I regularly enjoy. Just not this one.

This place used to be so much better. Sitting at the counter, we could see the 2 young cooks making pastas (and everything else on the menu) in a rushed and rough way. Never have I seen Italian pastas cooked with so much butter (easily 60-70gr per 125gr or pasta) particularly considering it had langoustine in it. My advice: - drop the butter, it’s pastas - refocus the menu - either improve quality to charge same price or reduce prices

Very creative dishes often Southern Italian in origin ( I think). Tasty and made with fresh ingredients including home made pasta. A bit expensive but a different dining experience to mainstream Italian. Very attentive and enthusiastic service. You sense that the staff are very passionate about the restaurant.

My partner and I were in the area and decided to try this restaurant. The service from Jessica was amazing, super nice and friendly. We tried fried raviolo and panko lasagna, they were really good! the pasta seemed freshly made, both pappardelle and spaghetti were really good. Beef ragu tasted like an homemade one that reminded me of home. Tiramisu was good but I would put more mascarpone cream. Overall I really like eating at the restaurant. I wouldn't say it was to die for, but I enjoyed the meal and the ambience. As for the price, I personally think it was a bit expensive, but in line with restaurant prices in Fitzrovia and in London in general.

Officina 00 on Old Street, London, is a dining experience not to be missed! The restaurant perfectly blends the authenticity of Italian cuisine with a modern twist. The dishes are prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste it in every bite. The homemade pasta is simply divine, and the portions are generous. A special thank you goes to Maria, the wonderful Calabrian assistant manager. Her warm welcome and attention to detail made our visit truly special. Bonito restaurante tranquilo con buena cocina italiana. Los tamaños de las porciones son agradables, pero no tan grandes que dejes demasiado llenos o con sobras. Los precios parecen razonables. Disfrutamos de aperitivos, vino, el plato principal, y terminamos con postre y pensamos que el total era decente para los cinco de nosotros. El restaurante está escondido en un barrio frente a una franja principal (al menos eso nos pareció a los turistas).

Cute atmosphere. We visited on a Sunday and have never been before. Carlotta was extremely helpful and explained some of the dishes! The food was 10/10. We would have given the place a 5/5 but a different staff member was quite rude for no reason while taking our payments. Such a shame to end it on that note because Carlotta went above and beyond for us. But we will definitely be back for the food!

Very nice Italian restaurant on Old Street serving pasta type mains and good drinks. Appreciated the open kitchen, everything was done near us and is quite a well ventilated place, so no strong smells either. Service was excellent, Fabio was attentive, bringing and removing the dishes quickly. The baked aubergine with parmigiana sauce was amazing and the occhi with lamb were exceptionally tasty. Parppadelle with beef ragù were great too. Didn't enjoyed the house pork sausage which was too salty, however the Marsala sauce was divine 🤤. Watermelon and kale salad was to strange for me. By the way, another great feature was the homemade lemonade, strongly infused with rosemary. We finished with lemon delizia dessert with the right amount of limoncello liquor.

I had a nice evening dinner with my sister at this place. the staff was very friendly & proactive. Our order messed up in their computer system resulting in different pastas being served to us - they quickly realized their mistake & apologized by giving us the additional dishes for free. We ended up having 4 plates of pasta ( we couldn't finish all of it🥲) and it was overall a great experience.

Me and my partner we went to this Italian restaurant and I must say how disappointed the experience was. Besides that, we waited a long time for our food. The food came extremely raw, which is health hazard for human consumption. 2 times we sent back the same dish, and it came back exactly the same. My partner and I were very hungry. My partner had some of the uncooked food, and I was just sitting there very hungry as I couldn't eat dangerous raw food. My partner also had a starter and main course pasta, same situation his pasta very raw and the starter Croquettes was so smelly I told my parter something is wrong with this food, we eat one Croquettes each and the rest we left it on the plate and we told the waiter the situation, after she went to the cook we saw the staff in the kitchen laughing in our face. Shortly after we left we both had terrible stomach pain. Please see below 2 photos one if the very raw food and the second photo of me straight away buying a croissant from next door shop as I was starving and the phone of that terrible smelly Croquettes that we had terrible stomach pain. We regret trying this place and we will not return. After all this time wasted and money I was left starving so we went to next door shop to get a croissant to eat something.

The food is good but I cannot recommend this restaurant. Firstly it is hugely overpriced for everything. The portion are small and it’s poor value for money. Secondly the menu is small and not really that good service is fine atmosphere fine I’m sure this review won’t affect their business but if you’re reading this and you want to go and walk away full and Also feel that you have value for money then I don’t recommend you go here

El lugar y el ambiente es excelente, pero tiene algunas deficiencias con la comida y lo más importante quizás el valor general. No recomiendo este restaurante. En primer lugar, parte de los asientos están en bancos y puede que termine sentado justo al lado de otras personas, aunque en nuestras ocasiones no sucedió. En segundo lugar, el menú es pequeño y también, tal vez como otras personas han comentado, las porciones son relativamente pequeñas, dicen que son un estilo de tapas, pero en ese caso no deberían estar cobrando los precios completos de la comida principal. I Creo que este restaurante es enormemente caro y la comida, aunque no es exactamente alucinante, y no merece los precios que se cobran.

Officina 00 is a very nice restaurant with high quality food and products that recall the Italian tradition and dishes that combine tradition with innovation. The counter that makes fresh pasta is very nice, a distinctive sign that is found in the taste of the first courses. Amazing place, Italian concept with an Asian touch, I quite love it! The food it’s just under the moon, the staff is nice and well organized. I came across this place with my partner, they just welcomed us in a good manners, the manager explained the menu and under her advice we had a nice panko lasagna as starter (try it!!!) and Italian sausage (amazing!) as main we had curly pappardelle with ricotta and meatballs and lamb shanks genovese (both so yummy!). Everything is fresh and handmade, we saw the pasta laboratory just in the middle of the restaurant, we really appreciated the chefs who were cooking just in front of us… We’ll get back for sure! Loved everything about the food here, the panko lasagne was to die for along with the sourdough bread and truffle butter. Service was good and I liked the open kitchen. The beef ragu was also delicious but the meatballs were unnecessary and a bit dry. Complimented with a bottle of pinot blush. Will definitely be back.

I ordered a ravioli and it was literally just a slab of pasta dough with some sauce over it. Outrageously priced at £16.50!! Despite being advertised and priced as a main, it was barely a starter, I was still starving afterwards. They also have the nerve to add a service charge on top. In total, I paid almost £20 for the most mediocre and miniscule meal imaginable, and left still hungry. I would recommend going to McDonald's over this place, you will get a tastier and more satisfying meal for a fraction of the price. STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!

If you want a good meal, go two doors down to Pasta Nostra. Or if you can get a table - even better to go over the road to Noci. Food tasted okay, but VERY overpriced. Asked for a dish I had seen in the photos and was given something completely different to the dish I had described - still tasted nice, but for £16 it was tiny and I was left after both a starter and a main feeling hungry. The staff were nice but incredibly slow - took 20 mins from sitting down to be asked if I wanted something to drink. Asked for the dessert menu, but it never arrived. After giving up on dessert, asked for the bill, and this also didn’t come until I asked a second time. Not worth £60 for some bread and mediocre pasta. I urge anyone reading this to go elsewhere.

Delicious and fresh pasta! The Bolognese sauce and meatballs pasta was excellent. My friend had the ink octopus pasta which was also great. The entrees, burrata and focaccia bread and croquettes, are also not to be missed! The staff was friendly and attentive and the prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend to visit!

We tried 3 pastas, the meat one was alright, the veggie one was just pistachios and pasta, and the octopus one was horrific, a child could have made that. Any benefits we had from the supposedly high quality ingredients were negated by the car fumes we inhaled while eating. There are better places to eat in the area.

I really enjoyed my food, but this wasn't consistent across the group of four. The service was a bit slow and they forgot part of our order, but when the bill was split we were short £1.40 which they came back for - considering they forgot stuff you'd think they'd let us off! Highly recommended, a place where the location, staff and dishes are truly excellent 😍 The welcome they give to the guest makes you feel almost at home, you are sitting at the table and you see the pasta sheet being rolled by hand, then you taste it and the flavor is exceptional. All the dishes are much superior to the average of the Italian restaurants you find abroad. The bread is freshly baked, the tiramisu is made upon order... The experience at Officina 00 is unmissable 🎉

Food in general is good though I would not call it amazing. Croquet was particularly good, especially with the cheese & honey topping. Artichoke was on the chewy side even for veg lover like me. All the other dishes including pasta were above par. Tiramisu, on the other hand, was a little disappointing. They tried to do something different but did not win our vote. Service was quite slow. We waited a long time to have our mains served. Possibly short of staff on the night. Ambience quite bustling, rustic & casual.

Nice small restaurant with a good vibe here. A. Ice busy for a Tuesday evening with a nice mix of people for the after work crowd. Many things on the menu were tempting and our choices were solid. Favourite dish was the curly pappardelle closely followed by the ink tagliatelle. Really nicely flavoured al dente cooked pasta, good portions with nice extra bits on to make a proper plate of food that all worked together. Shout out to the two chefs running the kitchen smoothly and effectively for a busy service

I just moved to London recently and I’ve been going out to explore different restaurants, I had better fresh pasta elsewhere and cost cheaper. On Thursday me & daughter planned to go out for dinner on Sat, she wanted Italian, I went online tried to book a table, some other restaurants that I like to try was all fully booked or table only available after 9pm, then I found this restaurant with different time lot & table available , so I gave it a try. We ordered Sourdough bread, as we sat on the kitchen bar table, I saw the sourdough came out from the kitchen and the waiter took the sourdough bread to the customers right next to us, the waiter said to the customer: here is the sourdough bread for you. I know that was my order, then I said to my daughter the waiter made a mistake. Right before the customer tried to grab the bread, the waiter went over there and said something and took the bread to the kitchen, wait for 1-2 mins brought the bread to us, I saw everything they thought I didn’t know. If the customer had touch the bread I will be so angry when the same bread came . I mean it’s only bread the waiter can handle it better, just let the customer had the bread and make another one for us. It’s the restaurant’s fault and I had seen it everything happened start from the chef cut the bread …..,..to the bread came to our table. Me & my daughter were looking forward for this meal and the food wasn’t that good and the sourdough thing happened, that’s why I give 1 star.

This little gem of a place serves up freshly made pasta. The Corzetti dish consisting of wild Mushroom, Fennel, Sausage and Parsley was absolutely divine. As of typing this review, my palate is craving the culinary delights once again. Atmosphere - Nice and intimate with cool background tunes helps you to unwind with your dining companion(s) whilst receiving tip top service from the lovely staff. Last week was the first and most definitely NOT the last time that I'll head to Officina 00! This is a highly recommend restaurant! Keep up the good work team Officina 00!

Absolutely delighted to share my experience at this restaurant! From the moment I stepped in, the warm welcome from the staff set the perfect tone. The bread? Oh, it's beyond words - fresh and paired with butter that's simply divine! Now, onto the main course - I opted for the pasta and was pleasantly surprised by its unique green hue 😂, but let me tell you, I devoured every last bit on my plate! Overall, the food, ambience, service, and atmosphere deserve nothing less than a solid 4.5 stars. Honestly, it's just me being a tad stingy with that last half star. So, let's round it up to a perfect 5-star rating! Absolutely stellar experience! Lool

The starters sausage and lasagna were really good but I can’t say the same for the carbonara. It was really salty, soggy and the bacons were nearly burnt. Wife got the pappardelle with meatballs and it was also cooked way too much. The tiramisu was ok.

Italian cuisine seemed to have been redefined by every little eatery in town and they all claim to be unique in their own style, that is nowhere close to any traditional Italian food that you would normally expect. That may be obvious from the lack of any Italian clientele and mostly thronged by the local young crowd who treat this as a fancy fast-food like Italian joint. The simple sourdough bread was not fresh. Ordered the curly pappardelle that claimed to have meatballs which are nothing but 5 or 6 over-fried crispy large peanut sized meatball-type “thing”. The pasta was supposed to have short-rib ragu – which probably was so as I did find a tiny piece of beef in it. No real taste in the sauce. Overall not impressive at all. I asked the server while ordering if it was any good – the response “if it wasn’t good it wouldn’t be on the menu”. Surely the added hint of arrogance doesn’t make the place any more attractive. There are plenty of more regular Italian in the neighborhood – no need to make a trip here unless you are too tired to walk a block or two more.

Some of the food is exceptional (aubergine croquette for a starter); others a bit tasteless (my companion's gnocchi dish); others just odd (the 100 layer lasagne is not lasagne as we know it Jim - a wodge of layered pasta with a slightly odd sauce poured over it. The pasta was, of cousre, perfectly cooked.

Instagram worthy dishes but disappointing experience overall. Welcoming staff was very friendly, but after we had a waitress trying but not succeeding to give us a hosty-feeling. Asking every 2 minutes whether we wanted more. Do people ‘dine’ in London? No, I don’t want my appetizer, main dish and dessert in 20minuten, thanks. Food was okay in taste, chef was prepping it in front of us, so I won’t complain about that experience. However, my dish entered semi-cold. My partner’s cold. That dish we sent back… we received a semi-warm one 2min later. I had convinced my partner to dine here, cause I saw this great video on Instagram… felt bad afterwards. But hey! The wine was great! :D

We arrived at about 9.30p.m. on Saturday night and the restaurant was busy. Fortunately, they were able to seat us at the bar where we could watch the chef's in action. The service from Nada was great and the food was excellent. We tried a few of the starters and really enjoyed the Croquettes and Raviolo. All of us liked our pasta dishes and coming from Yorkshire expected a hefty price tag and were pleasantly surprised as a meal of that standard would cost at least 25% more in Harrogate. Thank you.

Croquette was great! Ragu was pretty mid. The flavour and texture were okay, but we found it neither exceptional nor exciting. Spaghetti Carbonara, or should I say blended scrambled eggs? Sauce didn't emulsify properly, and the eggs were overcooked. So a puddle of mashed-potato-textured egg slurry lay sadly beneath the spaghetti, barely hanging onto the pasta. I initially thought this to be Officina's innovative take on a classic (esp as proper guanciale and pecorino were used), but the simple additional of truffle shouldn't derail the entire textural experience/mouthfeel of the whole dish. Such a simple, elegant dish; such a shame. In consideration of the price tags that dwarfs many other pasta-focused restaurants (e.g/ Bancone if you like silky emulsions), it becomes rather untenable to recommend the pasta here Perhaps it is I who missed the point: the singular a5 piece of food menu, diminutive yet valiant, perched atop two towering giants (A4 pages of wine lists); only a fool would anticipate its triumph.

Lovely restaurant with excellent service and friendly staff, unfortunately the ink tagliatelle was a let down - tasteless apart from an overpowering level of salt, tarallo added nothing to the flavour and was too chunky to add to the texture, and even worse the clams were off. However, the curly pappardelle, lemon delizia and drinks were lovely and rich in flavour - so this dish may just be an exception.

We liked the vibe here and enjoyed the spicy croquettes and two tasty bowls of pasta. The carbonara was luxurious and delicious. The rabbit cappelletti was tasty but a tad too al dente. We will definitely give it another go.

The pasta dishes were good but the rest was nothing special. The desserts were disappointing, tiramisu didn’t taste of coffee or liquor and seemed like they forgot to soak the biscuits completely. We popped in at a quieter time and the service was so slow, can’t imagine how they handle busy hours.

Having come here after reading really positive reviews, I found my experience at Officina rather disappointing. All the pasta dishes were below expectations from a restaurant that specialises in pasta. We ordered the sourdough focaccia, burrata and fried ravioli for starters. Focaccia and burrata was pretty good, but the ravioli was slightly too dry, with the filling not quite creamy enough (it was crumbly). For mains we had a pesto casarecce and rabbit cappellaci. Though the flavours for both were excellent, the textures just weren’t right. While the casarecce was slightly overcooked, the cappellaci was quite undercooked to the point where bits were difficult to eat. I think it’s difficult to justify visiting Officina again, considering they cannot get the basics of cooking pasta correctly right.

Unfortunately this must be one of the worst italian restaurants I’ve ever tried. The bread was cold and didn’t come with olive oil or butter, gnocchi wasn’t good and in general the vegetarian options weren’t my favorite. My partner got the lamb dish and didn’t enjoy it either. Definitely would not recommend.
