Best lasagne I ever had, and the pizza was really good, too.

Food was nice, as always (went there couple of times already). Special thanks to Anna, the super nice waitress :)

Reasonably priced and very good food. It's a real Italian restaurant. Good for families, downside is that it gets very noisy.

The food here is really nice, have eaten here loads, but the aggressive doorman, who swore at me and my parents when we arrived - with a table booked - makes this an unacceptable place to recommend visiting. Appreciate it was a busy Saturday night, but his behaviour was disgusting

Very nice pizza, very nice Italian restaurant playing football live on the projector along a wall. A amazing selection or red wines with my favourite being the Nero d’avola. Would definitively recommend this pizza to anyone in Finsbury Park.

Very nice, not too expensive, reasonable price

This restaurant is an excellent venue with a varied and traditional menu. The staff are incredibly friendly and professional. The selection of pizza was delicious and cooked in wood ovens in the centre of the restaurant. The pasta dishes were innovative and seasonal, lots of truffle, speck and funghi as befits the time of year. In general the food was reasonably priced as was the wine. Would recommend and would definitely return

I had a wonderful evening at Pizzeria Pappagone, located near Finsbury Park station. The atmosphere was lively and festive, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out. A special mention to Daqa, who took care of me and my guest with such kindness and a warm smile. She truly made us feel welcome. My guest enjoyed a delicious meal from the kitchen, while I opted for one of the many fantastic pizzas on the menu—absolutely delightful! Thank you, Pappagone, and thank you, Daqa, for a memorable and enjoyable evening!

We had dined in here the week before and there were a few problems like the staff members English wasn’t great and the orders were incorrect. I ordered 2 pizza’s, 1 for each of my children and they only brought 1. After a little while and me realising they must have only ordered 1, I called someone over and asked where the second was. 1st they tried to tell me I only ordered 1, then finally ordered a second for my son. Due to it being late, I think it wasn’t left in the oven quite long enough as it was watery and falling apart and I had to send it back. All of this and the noise level doubled in the time we were there. As I liked the food that I had ordered, I decided to give another try and order a delivery today! I shouldn’t have bothered… this is what arrived today. I mean for £13.50 I would expect more than a cup of food. It was defo double when I had it in the restaurant. I have taken a photo with my spoon in so you can see just how small it is, and to come in a cardboard box??? Lesson learnt!

We visited your pizzeria yesterday and overall had a pleasant experience. Our waitress, though she forgot to order our Margherita pizza, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made every effort to ensure that we and our child were comfortable. It was clear she may have been a little flustered, but this didn’t affect the quality of service or our mood in any way. Given that we had a rather large order, it’s understandable that she might have gotten a bit confused, and the missing pizza wasn’t a major issue for us. However, what really left a negative impression was the behaviour of one of her colleagues (a young lady with light brown hair). She was openly rolling her eyes, putting her hands to her head, and made it very clear through her body language that she was dissatisfied with her co-worker’s performance. We don’t believe that this kind of behaviour is acceptable. If a colleague is struggling, it would be far more professional to offer guidance or assistance rather than showing frustration so publicly. We would like to draw the manager’s attention to how your staff handle their colleagues' mistakes. From a customer's perspective, these minor errors were not a big deal, but it seemed to be a huge issue for the other staff member, to the point where it was unnecessarily broadcasted for all to see.

The food was really nice , I tried the calamari and the salmon pasta which was great I didn’t give it 5 stars as it was really crammed and the cocktails were not great at all .

Driven past over 100 times but it was only after my friend fireman John suggested we go that I had the pleasure. Simply sensational in every way. Food, staff and the owner Marco. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Food was awful calamari and zucchini not crispy and pasta cabonara pasta not cooked enough. We only went here as La Saporita didn't open till 4. Won't be back

had a great family meal here on Friday night. A massive menu that is a bit overwhelming but we all had great tasty dishes. Staff were very helpful & friendly. The place was buzzing, really busy but that didn't impact on our meal/experience at all. Will definitely be back & recommend to others.

Terrible Service - Don’t Bother Ordering! I ordered from this restaurant, and after waiting nearly 2 hours, they cancelled my order without any explanation. Clearly, they're so busy that they don’t care about their customers. They pick and choose which orders to fulfill, leaving others hanging. If a restaurant can’t manage its demand or respect its customers’ time, they shouldn't be in business. Absolutely unacceptable and I won’t be ordering from here again even it is my local pizzeria.

Opted for pasta and gnocchi, seafood dishes and they were both tasty. There was a little misunderstanding with the bill but that got sorted. Wide range of dishes and cocktails.

Best gluten free pasta I’ve ever had. They use gf rigatoni, and it was cooked perfectly. Other Italian places need to catch up!!

Wow. One of THE most welcoming, helpful, understanding restaurants you can visit. Even with a crew of kids making a racket the staff were calm, so kind and attentive. The pizzas were incredible, well priced and came quickly. Will most certainly return as they were so kind. 5 stars for the hosting/food Definitely come, a great place to bring your family

We've been ordering multiple times from this establishment for years through Uber Eats, but recently, their customer service has been appalling. Food items have been missing, they have taken away the Pappa Pancakes desert which had been there for years and have increased prices on select dishes. This is unacceptable. We are customers as well even if we do delivery exclusively.

This pizzeria came highly recommended by friends and we decided to try it out on a Friday night. When we walked in it was packed, showing how popular it is. Despite the amount of people, the staff were superb and on top of everything like a well oiled machined. Amazing atmosphere that I'd describe as controlled chaos - in the best sense of the word! We felt transported to Italy, the tortelloni ai funghi e tartufo (mushroom tortelloni) was to die for! We also tried the pizza parmigiana which was delicious but the tortelloni was the star. The tiramisu was really good, huge portion. Lovely staff, very attentive and the owner shook our hand as we left. Fab experience and can't wait to go back!

Lovely pizza Margherita and authentic atmosphere

We have been visiting Pappagone since my oldest child was a tiny baby (23 years). Visited this weekend, having come to see my daughter and grandkids, as I moved away. Back in the day, staff were friendly, attentive, the kids were given a piece of dough to play with which they could shape and have cooked - it's up there in their fondest memories. While on the whole the food was good, one of my daughter's ordered a calzone with no olives or mushrooms - it came with both. And due to how long we had waited and that she has a newborn who would be due to feed - and being heavily timeboxed to 2 hours by the restaurant, we didn't have the luxury of time to wait for another one to be cooked as everyone else would have finished. Another of the kids' pizzas was so lacking in cheese it was mostly tomato sauce. The food was hot and tasty that aside. But people are crammed in, you feel rushed. It seems it has become about turning over covers rather than being the authentic family experience it always was, which is really sad to see. I get that the aim of a business is to make money, but the experience is what brings people back. I also had cause to ask another customer not to stare at my daughter who has a disability. Not the restaurant's fault, but I don't expect to have my child feel uncomfortable for things she cannot help because an ignorant, intolerant adult expects a silent meal in a packed restaurant.

Had a weird time, the message was unclear about the BYO protocol between the staff and then we were charged £40 for corkage… check when you pay the bill that you haven’t been forced to tip them….

Always a great experience here, they did it again this weekend!! Every bite was delicious, and the wine was great. We had a table of 14, and the staff were so patient with us. We had a really fun time with delicious food. Will definitely return

Was compelled to give a good review after such amazing takeaway service. Uber Eats managed to forget the toppings on one of the pizzas (which are kept separate as they’re cold toppings) - I called Pizza Pappagone speculatively to see if we could come and pick up the missing toppings, and instead one of their team quickly ran the toppings to us!! Always love the pizza from here but going the extra mile like that was fantastic.

Had a pleasure to visit this place today coming back from interview in the area. I was one of the first customers, ordered Diavola and it was one of the best pizzas I've ever had in my life. I would say if it was more puffy and light it would be perfect 10 but regardless it tasted amazing. I would say it was on the heavier end, lost of ingredients, but it's a good thing and I was hungry. Ingredients were fresh, that cheese was something to write home about, nduja could have been a bit more spicy thou. Service was quick and efficient, no small talk or anything like that, which I appreciate. I'm one of those people who like to enjoy their food not interrupted. Highly recommend this place, amazing pizza.

Friendly staff, delicious food 😋

Me and my girlfriend just turned up on a Saturday early evening and let me tell you. The guy managing the people waiting couldn't have been more disrespectful. She simply asked what the wait time was and got ridiculed and shouted at. I know its busy on a Saturday but theres no call for it, girlfriend was so surprised she teared up and thats not normal for her. We were so mortified we were forced to leave before they even sat us down and the same guy on the door had the cheek to wave us off! can you believe it. 100% would not recommend, save your money and go somewhere they actually treat you like a human being.

I thought you should know about an experience I had today. I was walking past with my boyfriend this afternoon on my way home and stopped for an ice cream. Had a really nice experience (delicious ice cream and really friendly service) and decided to come back this evening to try the pizza as the lovely lady serving me suggested. We’ve just moved close by and are in need of a good pizza place. Walked up around 7:30 pm and join the back of the queue of people waiting for a table. Unfortunately when I tried (very politely, after waiting for him to stop speaking to the other group) to ask the guy directing people how long the weight would be, he was extremely rude. It came completely out of nowhere and I was very shocked. I was very embarrassed because everyone around noticed and they all looked at me and I had no idea what to say. When the man asked a follow-up question and my boyfriend a answered for us, he pointed around my boyfriend and said “no, you madam, how many?” to me, aggressively. I mean this was completely bizarre as he could see there was two of us and we’d already answered. At this point, I decided I’d gotten fed up of being pointed at, shouted at and condescended to so we left while he literally waved us off. I know you’re very busy and you probably don’t really have time to worry too much about an individual experiences, also this guy acted like the boss so he may very well be the owner. I just wanted to let you know because I know you have some lovely people working for you and it’s a shame this is putting people off. If it was my business, I’d want to know. 

My family come here often, and although a lot of the staff are usually kind and friendly, yesterday we came as a party of about 10 and it wasn’t a nice experience at all. The lady serving us made us feel like we were a nuisance for trying to get her attention to ask for service. I have to be honest, she was very rude, and made us feel like we were annoying her for asking for things that were missing. The pizzas were good but some people were without drinks for ages and we literally had to get up and wave because she was walking past and avoiding eye contact. It takes me a lot to leave a bad review, and I did think about leaving 1 or 2 stars. I get that they’re going for that “Italian community vibe” thing but does that mean that it’s ok to be rude. My cousin did not enjoy her meal at all, and when she mentioned it the lady ignored her and just took the plate. It doesn’t hurt to smile and be welcoming, it makes all the difference. This is not the first time I have felt uncomfortable with the treatment of the staff here, but I ignored it the last time because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Our group spent a lot of money there and I often enjoy the food, but the staff need to check their attitude because it ruins the whole experience. Really poor service.

We went for a birthday lunch. This is a great place to go for Italian. Fresh pizzas backed in front of you and at a very reasonable price. The desserts were excellent and the service was really good. We will be going there again

It is ok. The atmosphere is not cosy , is a good place to go with a lot of friends and family . It's definitely not for a new couple. The service is average, not exceptional.

Everything about this place is amazing

Only annoying comment was that whilst eating, staff directing customers next to my table, brushing past, apart from that, I really enjoyed my delicious meal.

Pretty good food but we were extremely rushed. We were told we had until 7 (around 90 minutes) because they had a large table coming (which we thought would be fine), but plates were being taken away before we were even finished eating and over 20 minutes before we were told we needed to be out. We were continually rushed and told by multiple waiters that we had to leave soon at multiple times during the meal and when ordering anything (we just had pasta and pizza, which came out really quickly and was nice) I would just have preferred if they didn't seat us and said there was no space because it wasn't an enjoyable experience.

Delicious food but terrible customer service that ruined the evening for us. We were not informed at booking or on arrival that the table was just for two hours. If we had known this we would have ordered before our late comers. Staff rushed us eating and we were told there was no time for dessert. When we said this wasn’t fair, the manager was called and he was very rude making us very uncomfortable. He even embarrassed one of his staff members by calling her over to identify the person she had informed about the time constraints. To whom they pointed at and claimed they had told. They did not. He kept reminding us he had 20 people coming instead of listening to what we were saying. Such a shame he couldn’t just apologise and move on.

Our end of Year staff gather for a group of 15 people got ruined thanks to the rude staff.Miserable faces,rushing to get the orders,poor service and then demanding we leave as time is up.We never got told that we had to stay within a time slot.They need to mention that when we did the booking.They refused to give us deserts basically pay and get out.What a way to treat paying customers.The staff came to our table shouting and pointing at us infrout of all the other customers like we did something wrong.Some of our group members have been regular customers for years.We will NOT be returning and we will certainly spread the word of the poor customer services.As it was all rushed the food also was not up to the usual standard.We left very disappointed and upset.Sorry guys this is not the way to run a business 😡 WHAT AWFUL SERVICE.Thanks for ruining our Evening.

One of the best pizza restaurants in London. Best for food, service and atmosphere. Always busy, always friendly and with great authentic wood fire cooked pizza. Also a great place to catch up with Italian football (if that’s your fancy).

Thé food is great but it is sooooo noisy, music is far too loud, impossible to hear ourselves talking ! They really need to turn it down , could not not enjoy my meal or the company

It’s a very great place to eat food was great but nothing that would make you uauuuuuu ! Very price so be preordered to spend some money ! Food and service is normally really good but, toilets are from a bus station, also there is lots of areas around that has a clear lack of cleaning like the ice cream area. —- "Thank you for your response and for explaining your cleaning procedures. I understand the challenges of maintaining restrooms, but based on my experience and feedback from others, it seems the restrooms might benefit from a renovation, as they appear outdated and in disrepair. Additionally, I have attached photos of the ice cream area that demonstrate the lack of cleaning. If the front-of-house areas have such issues, it raises concerns about the cleanliness of areas not visible to customers. I hope this feedback is helpful, and I look forward to seeing improvements on my next visit."

Great restaurant/pizzeria, genuine Italian run with all Italian staff. Pizzas are excellent and the Veal Milanese is superb. Great atmosphere.

Too noisy atmosphere , but it's ok food is nice . Noisy restaurants are mark print of good restaurants .

Can't go wrong with PP. It's the pizzeria equivalent of the Faltering Fullback - i.e. the very highest standard. Everything about it seems authentic, from the delicate crusts to the way the staff berates each other. Buonissimo.
