this came a little late, but I celebrated my birthday here in January with a group of 30+ people, and it was the best decision of my new age! The food (as always) was delicious, fresh and came out quickly, with a vibrant atmosphere that is typical at Papagonnes. A special shout out to the wonderful Maria, who took on our group with elegance and efficiency, thank you Maria for making the night so special!! If you want to have a good time then you need to make your way here for your next celebration :)

Fuimos a Pappagone para mi esposa 50 cumpleaños y todo fue un completo desastre. La frita misto era promedio, pero el pescado era viejo. Lo peor vino cuando mi hija tomó la pizza americana. La pimienta de la pizza estaba apagada, la pizza sabía agria debido a los pimientos. Se lo contamos al gerente y se llevó la pizza. Se fue y probó la pizza con el chef. Cuando volvió empezó a discutir conmigo discutiendo sobre la pizza, diciendo que hacen 1000 clientes al día y todo está fresco. Dijo que estaba equivocado sobre la pizza. Bueno, soy chef. Confío en mis papilas gustativas y la pizza era repugnante. Por favor, aléjese de este lugar.

Really good pizza. Big family style tables. Excellent service. Vibrant atmosphere with chants of happy birthday every half an hour.

What a fantastic place with a great atmosphere. Such a happy place from the moment you enter. Greeted with a warm smile and a handshake. Pizza is great with an extensive Italian menu so will 100% return. I was very happy with my visit 😊

Best pizza in London by a mile. The parmigiana pizza is unreal. My absolute favourite place to go which is thankfully still affordable unlike everywhere else these days!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this restaurant! Been going there for years (not sure why I haven’t left feedback before!) it’s Rustic, all the staff are like family , food is delicious, often one of our preferred choices when celebrating 🍕

Good place to have an authentic Italian food.

Don't waste any time. Put your walking shoe's on, get a cab etc. Great food, smart staff, (mostly) and enjoy. I like a 2 hour lunch and this hits the spot.

Me dieron una PIZZA QUEMADA, luego pedí una fresca y me dieron una PIZZA CRUDA. INACEPTABLE Y VERGONZOSO. Soy italiano y sé de pizza. Además de eso, las facturas eran increíblemente caras. ALÉJATE DE ESTE LUGAR. VERGONZOSO. ESTO NO ES ITALIA

I love this place. Authentic. Reasonably priced. Sound staff. Not showy. Not gourmet. Good honest grub x

Food is lovely, there's no doubt about that. But you only get the table for 2 hours, and we were a large group of 12 so 2 hours simply wasn't long enough. Everything was very rushed and we didn't even have time for birthday cake/dessert. I definitely wouldn't recommend this restaurant for a group.

It's no longer the Pappagone that used to be. Food is not that tasty any more and over priced. Pizzas are decent. Carbonara was e tremendously salty, the octopus wasn't fresh.

Sitting under the Del Piero signed shirt with a bowl of Linguine ai Gamberoni like Don Carlo being served by staff from Puglia (that's what I was told she was from). My go to when there happens to be an occasion in London and am pulled away from Japan. Salut! I recommend this place, which may not mean much but trust me, that Gamberoni does bits for the buds. The food and service were very good. However, the place was packed. Very, very loud, and with all the noise, the music, and how crowded it was, it was extremely unpleasant. If you have sensory issues, avoid eating in. Order delivery better. The food is very good.

I have been coming here for a number of years and every time we leave with smiles on our faces and full bellies, always taking care of me and my family and ensuring we are always welcomed. The food is exceptional, the fresh muscles for starters and the Pizza Diavola will always be my favourites, so if you are looking for a taste of the sea for starter and something a little spicy for mains please look no further. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Pizzeria Pappagone and it wasn't just because of the terrible service. One of the employees, a blonde girl with glasses, was completely unprofessional, rude and inattentive. She barely acknowledged our table, got the order wrong and acted like we were an inconvenience. To make matters worse, she seemed much more interested in flirting with the pizza oven guy than actually doing her job. Completely ignoring customers, it was unprofessional and genuinely unpleasant to see. Good customer service should be a priority, but this is clearly not the case. Management needs to intervene because this level of lack of professionalism is unacceptable. Until then, I won't be returning.

This was my first time here, everything is really really good! The food is absolutely amazing, 10/10 for me, also the services 10/10. Everyone here is lovely! 😌 If you ever plan to come here, do it sooner rather than later. 100% worth it.

I just ordered a margherita pizza through uber eats, and it was honestly one of the best Italian pizza I had here in London in a long while. The cherry on top was that it still came hot and was already sliced. I will definitely try other items from their menu, the pizza was delicious! There wasn't mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce on that pizza, there was magic! Thank you, my belly is grateful too! 😋

If I could give 0 I would try to give 0. The customer service is ridiculous the person that deals with the waiting que is very rude I mean his job role is to be friendly polite and customer catching however he is a person that really lets down the company such as shame. I asked for the wait time he said no go wait outside we are fully booked till 9 now you can book in for tomorrow in a very aggressive manner. I literally left will never attend again. Will loose alot of customers if the doorman dont change.

Hi Owner Please do your homework, find facts before you respond . Your staff need customer service training. Firstly Nicolas did not ask / take order for drinks, he is very rude person. You were not there yesterday, how do you know , we will have tap water? We might order, cocktail, mocktail drinks as we always order when we come. Please check order history, have we ever order tap water? We are regular customers . We didn’t said we want only 1 pizza, we were still looking on menu. This is discrimination with us . Wake up owner, you need to mistery shopper with your staff. Don’t go this Restaurant anymore Terrible / rude/ unprofessional behaviour, discrimination , breach of Human Rights act 1998 by Nicolas I went this restaurant with family for lunch, Nicolas asked do you have booking, my wife said no, he was rushing however restaurant was not busy around 13.30 pm. My wife said we would like to order 2 large pizzas and sides dish and drinks. Nicolas said you have to order each meal for each person if you want table otherwise you can not have table, it said very loud, customers were looking at us, very rude and embarrassing. He left us , I called him, asked for his name, he said Nicolas. I said to Nicolas do you written policy or on website that each customer has to order each meal, he said no. We left restaurant, didn’t eat lunch. We could have Order foods and drinks, most of people spend money on drinks than foods. We are Asian, if we were white if wouldn’t treat us rude , unprofessional and discrimination. I would like prompt response from management, Nicolas needs customer service training and human rights. We are regular customers , likes foods and my family visits regularly and takeaways too.

Podríamos haber pedido alimentos y bebidas, la mayoría de la gente gasta dinero en bebidas que en alimentos. Somos asiáticos, si fuéramos blancos si no nos trataran groseramente, poco profesionales y discriminatorios. Me gustaría una respuesta rápida de la dirección, Nicolas necesita capacitación en servicio al cliente y derechos humanos. Somos clientes habituales, le gusta la comida y mis visitas familiares regularmente y comida para llevar también.

Honest, no frills Italian food at affordable prices. Everything is so tasty. The homemade desserts are spot on also 👌🏻

eaten here more times than i care to admit and is such a good spot – good, old fashioned italian food. nothing prentious about it, staff are always great, restaurant is busy and alive (in the best way possible). just people having a good time – food is great and lychee martini is to die for.

What an institution, full of families and groups having fun. Great staff all joining in and the food is spot on. Make sure to have a tiramisu martini and join in with the happy birthday singing!

A fantastic itailian style pizza restraunt, great decour and lots of options on the menu. Food was served quickly even though it was quite busy. Would be a good spot to take someone on there birthday. Would recommend to others. 4.5/5

Such an amazing experience!!! If you’re looking for a proper Italian experience this is the case! Big portions, big taste and, mostly, super friendly staff!! They have gluten free options and vegan friendly plates, if you interested.. In my case the issue was only the lactose, so not too bad!! I could happily enjoy the Linguine ai frutti di mare!! Wow!! So super tasty (e che ve lo dico a fare!!!). I also had the option of a selection of sorbets as desserts, which is not a common thing having desserts for lactose intolerant people. Can’t wait to come back! Super recommended!

Been dining at this restaurant for over 25 years and loved how they always introduced new ideas and made it a better place like the new bar and the new wooden pizza oven. Have brought countless friends over the years and have always recommended Pappagone as my favourite local. Not anymore. Last time I went I ordered garlic bread, which apparently is called focaccina , and got something wrong. They wouldn’t change as a good will so I didn’t want a fuss ( Mario , the manager, raised his voice) and kept it and ordered the proper one. Afterwards we got our shared starter of Italian cheeses and vegetables. It looked terrible! Old looking vegetables and hardly any cheese but I couldn’t complain after the first incident. We left feeling very disappointed and decided that Pappagone is no more our favourite local .

Returned to Pappagone Finsbury Park after 1 year ish, and found the quality of the food has gone downhill. Service was good and efficient however, no one single dish we had, with the only exception of the ice cream, which is not made in house, was to a decent standard, and we all had tummy ache after dinner. The place is also extremely out of date and would benefit from a refresh. Bill was a bit too expensive too, especially thinking about poor quality of food.

Tuvimos nuestra cena familiar antes de Navidad aquí. Éramos 14, la comida era buena, pero por desgracia nuestra experiencia fue amarga por el deseo del personal de apurarnos a través de nuestra comida y sacarnos por la puerta lo antes posible. Nos recordaron al menos un par de veces que solo teníamos 2 horas (que no excedíamos) , cuando hablamos de pedir entrantes la camarera miró su reloj, y cuando tomó el pedido y le preguntamos si debíamos pedir plato principal al mismo tiempo. Ella nos dijo que debíamos, ya que no teníamos mucho tiempo. El servicio no fue particularmente rápido en cualquier caso, dada la línea de tiempo apretada que estábamos cumpliendo. La copa de vino de mi hermano se quitó antes de que terminara, lo cual fue grosero. Es una pena porque es un lugar agradable, pero la experiencia no fue relajada y no nos sentimos bienvenidos. No volveremos

El restaurante tiene un gran ambiente y el personal es impresionante, pero la pizza está bien, pero un poco descuidada y se siente como si estuviera hecha con ingredientes baratos, especialmente el jamón. Los cócteles eran muy malos y en general este restaurante es promedio como resultado.

The food here is really nice, have eaten here loads, but the aggressive doorman, who swore at me and my parents when we arrived - with a table booked - makes this an unacceptable place to recommend visiting. Appreciate it was a busy Saturday night, but his behaviour was disgusting

Busy but with a nice atmosphere. Very helpful staff. Didn't realise the marinara was without cheese but they were happy to put some on for us with no extra charge.

Very nice pizza, very nice Italian restaurant playing football live on the projector along a wall. A amazing selection or red wines with my favourite being the Nero d’avola. Would definitively recommend this pizza to anyone in Finsbury Park.

Perfect place for a family meal or a date night

I had a wonderful evening at Pizzeria Pappagone, located near Finsbury Park station. The atmosphere was lively and festive, making it a perfect spot for a fun night out. A special mention to Daqa, who took care of me and my guest with such kindness and a warm smile. She truly made us feel welcome. My guest enjoyed a delicious meal from the kitchen, while I opted for one of the many fantastic pizzas on the menu—absolutely delightful! Thank you, Pappagone, and thank you, Daqa, for a memorable and enjoyable evening!

We had dined in here the week before and there were a few problems like the staff members English wasn’t great and the orders were incorrect. I ordered 2 pizza’s, 1 for each of my children and they only brought 1. After a little while and me realising they must have only ordered 1, I called someone over and asked where the second was. 1st they tried to tell me I only ordered 1, then finally ordered a second for my son. Due to it being late, I think it wasn’t left in the oven quite long enough as it was watery and falling apart and I had to send it back. All of this and the noise level doubled in the time we were there. As I liked the food that I had ordered, I decided to give another try and order a delivery today! I shouldn’t have bothered… this is what arrived today. I mean for £13.50 I would expect more than a cup of food. It was defo double when I had it in the restaurant. I have taken a photo with my spoon in so you can see just how small it is, and to come in a cardboard box??? Lesson learnt!

We visited your pizzeria yesterday and overall had a pleasant experience. Our waitress, though she forgot to order our Margherita pizza, was exceptionally kind, attentive, and made every effort to ensure that we and our child were comfortable. It was clear she may have been a little flustered, but this didn’t affect the quality of service or our mood in any way. Given that we had a rather large order, it’s understandable that she might have gotten a bit confused, and the missing pizza wasn’t a major issue for us. However, what really left a negative impression was the behaviour of one of her colleagues (a young lady with light brown hair). She was openly rolling her eyes, putting her hands to her head, and made it very clear through her body language that she was dissatisfied with her co-worker’s performance. We don’t believe that this kind of behaviour is acceptable. If a colleague is struggling, it would be far more professional to offer guidance or assistance rather than showing frustration so publicly. We would like to draw the manager’s attention to how your staff handle their colleagues' mistakes. From a customer's perspective, these minor errors were not a big deal, but it seemed to be a huge issue for the other staff member, to the point where it was unnecessarily broadcasted for all to see.

The food was really nice , I tried the calamari and the salmon pasta which was great I didn’t give it 5 stars as it was really crammed and the cocktails were not great at all .

Food was awful calamari and zucchini not crispy and pasta cabonara pasta not cooked enough. We only went here as La Saporita didn't open till 4. Won't be back

had a great family meal here on Friday night. A massive menu that is a bit overwhelming but we all had great tasty dishes. Staff were very helpful & friendly. The place was buzzing, really busy but that didn't impact on our meal/experience at all. Will definitely be back & recommend to others.
