The couple that run the business always give the best with a smile. Food is always top class at great value.

The place needs a new sign outside, the yellow is very outdated. Dark grey and gold will attract more customers. Bring the cafe into the aesthetics of today.

Friendly staff, sadly Portuguese pastry soggy, didn't taste fresh. Was assured it was fresh that morning. However pastel de nata has flaky pastry which should be crisp-ish. Waitress gave me credit for one but the one I had tasted she said she would charge.. I don't argue because she cannot resell the one I had taken a bite from. Latte very nice and good presentation. Maybe could do with stronger blend of coffee. Had an apple pie with hot custard instead. Pie was cold but with proper slices of apple. Bottom pastry a bit damp. I would suggest they investigate the storage methods of pastry items. Overall, staff pleasant with positive attitude. Prices reasonable for area.

Warm, friendly, family-run cafe. Simple food cooked extremely well. Food is always freshly made and you can tell it's made with love and care. Great sandwiches, coffee, orange juice and chai. Definitely check it out!

So much love is put into the food that you can taste it, staff are all very nice, helpful and friendly, not had a bad experience here, always very positive and walk out happy.

Lovely full English breakfast, staff are friendly, toilet is clean and it's pretty specious inside.

Coffee priced at the high street price point but tasting extremely average. Avoid if you enjoy your brew with some flavour.

Outstanding simple food, very friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Try the hot lemon tea, salmon and egg bagel with hollandaise, vegetarian club sandwich, and hot beef special. Very fair pricing and it feels good to support a local family business.

Simple pasta meal but perfectly cooked, very tasty sauce and a nice straightforward salad. Quick friendly service. Mostly panini etc but other good items on the menu. Good choice after shopping at the Naga Head!

I went there today at about 1pm and ordered Amici breakfast which consists of 2 eggs 3 Cumberland sausages grilled tomatoes beans and toast and mushrooms I also ordered a tea 1. asked for fryed slice instead of tomatoes blond slim 5"5" server said we don't do that 2. Went to pay I gave £8.10p blonde server said I must pay £2.oo more for the tea so I had to pay £10.10p for my breakfast which by the way you don't get 3 Cumberland sausages you get 2 cut in half my rating for is just about 1 good luck watch your money .

the food is not as bad as the staff. the girls are talking behind the counter, they are not paying attention to the customers. I thought it was just my first impression, but I gave them a second and third chance and it's always the same. Avoid visiting this place, there are cafes around much more enjoyable

Called in for breakfast, enjoyed a bacon ( nice an crispy ) & Egg toasted sandwich, was very tasty, and good value for money. Staff friendly, and Also table service. Worth a visit.

Termino a menudo poco sólo porque es conveniente cada vez que oramos por la dirección ha cambiado y la comida ha ido mejor. Des spaghettis excellentes, un risotto super. Service rapide et agréable dans une belle salle. Pour un prix super abordable (4 plat et 2 verres de vin pour 45 livres). Allez y assez tôt car la salle s'est très vite remplie.

Had a lovely pepperoni/salami pizza. Very big portion. Very reasonable price, was expecting higher for London area. My second cousin had Pumpkin tortellini which I tried and must say one of the best pastas I have ever tried.

Good place to visit and a surprising find in an otherwise through road of shabbiness in North London. A pity more of the locals don't realise it's on their doorstep - the pizzas ( and they do takeaways) are large and cheap and very very tasty

We stopped here because it had a good menu and was open to the street so you were separated from the traffic but still felt like you were in the open air. Service was very friendly and prompt and the ciabatta we had was delicious.

I ate here with my son and two of his friends. We all enjoyed our evening meal. Carbonara, seafood spaghetti and pumpkin ravioli. Our starters were super and the portions were enormous. Very good value too! Make sure you are hungry, and don't worry about the bill.

Myself and my daughter stumbled upon this little Restaurant while walking from the Emirates Stadium back to our accommodation on a recent visit to London. Boy, were we glad we found it. Friendly service, reasonable prices, along with huge portions of really well cooked Italian fare. Highly recommend this place if you like a treat.

Great pizzas! I have been ordering to take away and eating in here for months. Always a great standard of pizza, both dough and toppings. Very reasonable prices and nice and friendly staff. One of the few places with a great atmosphere on Holloway Road!

Went here now for the 4th time now and I just love their pizza.I always have my favourite with ham, mushrooms and artichokes. They have a lovely thin italian base and is one of the only places that have artichokes.This time I went with a friend and we shared a starter of baked cheese- I think it was brie.Loved the cheese and sauce, not so keen on the salad.We also shared a home made tiramisu, tasted lovely- just could be a bit bigger ;-)I will be back!!

I was first taken to Amici's around the time Arsenal moved to the Emirates. So this started off as our pre-match place to eat of choice. But as the years have rolled on it has become our family's place to eat whatever the occasion - seeing off our eldest emigrating to Australia or welcoming him home again a year later; saying goodbye to number two son and partner before they travel round the world; twin daughters' birthday party. We live in Hampstead so pretty spoilt with good eateries in the area. But I tell you the quality of the cooking and the friendliness of Sergio, Suzie and all the staff are of the highest standards - even when full up on football match days.

Amici is a quality Italian restaurant that has a simple menu but all their meals have so much flavour! The service is always promote and we are never in there any longer than an hour if we are after a quick meal. The gorgonzola gnocchi is a must try along with their pizzas and squid ink pasta!

I have eaten at Amici many times over the years and I personally think that the service has gone down hill! A group of us went there for lunch today with our children and ordered from the £5.95 lunch menu. The waitress was very disinterested in taking our order and did not inform us that the orange juice we ordered for the kids was not included in the lunch deal and that we would be charged £2.25 per glass! Two of the group ordered 7up which tasted flat so we sent one back and asked for another orange juice. The waitress was extremely rude about this and told us that it could not be flat because she had just opened the bottle today. I said that it tasted funny and we wanted to change it for an orange juice, and it was at this point that she told us that the orange juice was not include in the deal, that only soft drinks and water were included, and that we would be charged for the orange juice! I was not happy with the waitresses attitude or tone! The pizza was ok, if not a bit bland, but generally enjoyable.I would not have left a tip if it had not been automatically added to the bill (another point on which I was not happy as it did not state that the tip was optional, and there was no indication on the menu that there was a statutory service charge)! I was not happy with the service and was not happy about leaving a tip but I was too annoyed to argue with the rude staff!All in all, I will not be going back to Amici as the service has been slipping over the years, and with so many other nice places to eat nearby I would rather take my money elsewhere!I would recommend that you avoid Amici, unless you plan to take away your food! I would advise you to try El Molino (a Spanish restaurant a few doors down) as they do a nice lunch time menu, and are a very friendly, family run business!

After 10 months in London, the best cappuccino I've had so far.

Off chance on Sunday night walking down Holloway Road went here having walked past it for years. Great pizza pasta and the calzone that would feed the thousands...Lovely people clean place and tastey place for a local. Thank you.

We eat at Amici now and again and we're impressed with the value. The food is fresh and delicious with generous portions. The staff are friendly and as it's a popular place, there's always an atmosphere. Today's visit was another success

On Saturday 31st August, my family came over to London for my birthday and I decided to take them to my then favourite restaurant Amici. I have been to Amici several times before and whilst the manager a permanently disgruntled, bad mannered dark haired guy was persistently rude, the food was nice so I kept going back. Not today. We were a party of 10, including 4 children, 6 adults, all looking forward to a decent meal. It never came. The chicken and mushroom pasta was tasteless. Lasagne could have been brought from Iceland and the garlic bread felt like cardboard. We sent back the pasta and the moody manager begrudgingly took it back to be remade. Tasted the same, no doubt with added spit. Long story short, the meal was hideous and I felt so bad that an evening that could have been so nice was ruined. Not sure whether there has been a change of chef but Amici you are now a big disappointment and I will never venture to you again.

We have been using this friendly neighbourhood restaurant for many years. We are always warmly welcome as are all customers who come in. The service is relaxed and not rushed. We have never had a bad meal or dish here. It is reasonable priced and welcomes families

We have been coming to this restaurant for many years - family celebrations, Arsenal match days, Saturday night meals out. OK this is not the West End but who cares. Sergio and his staff make everyone welcome - watch how many diners he greets as old friends. The pizzas, the pastas and the veal escalope are outstanding.

I had lunch at Amici's (the restaurant, not the coffee bar a few doors up) with a friend in early December 2012, and was very pleased. The £5.95 lunchtime special was surprisingly good. Had the price been £12.95 I would still have been pleased - this place is a bit of a bargain. Well presented, tasty fare, filling and served efficiently enough that we didn't need to worry about getting back to the office on time. I recommend the chicken breast in white wine sauce. My only gripe is that the decor is somewhat monotonous - get some artwork on the wall Mr Amici! Recommended.

Great home made Italian food served by friendly staff in a great atmosphere all for great prices. If you are looking for a local Italian near you go to Amici.If you are really hungry order the calzone, it is the biggest one I have ever seen!!!

I only go at lunchtime so can't comment on evening experience. The lunchtime menu is terrific value. Meal and a drink for under 6 quid. A wide choice of pasta and pizza plus salads and specials. Very popular and not too busy. Highly recommended

Amici does really great food. I've visited a couple of times and not been disappointed. The last time we all had pizzas and they are the best. It's always been busy when I've been in there so the atmosphere is really good. It's excellent value for money with polite and cheerful staff. I'll definitely be going back.
