Pizza royal in Dumfries & Galloway

Mixed reviews, but we thought we try it, and our food was great. Ordered 3 Pizzas, garlic bread and chips, and everything was nicely cooked, tasty and not at all greasy. We'll definitely go back. The young adult serving us was friendly and helpful, and the kitchen smells clean. Prices aren't cheap, but fairly standard nowadays, so it is great for a pizza night treat.

Well have never been so disappointed got a chicken wrap no salad no sauce will never be back and would not recommend this place

Absolute disgusting burger was like rubber cheese slice was roten na salad as described comes with chips were hard and tasteless place should be shut down went in bin and don't think bin was happy with it pmsl

Highly recommended for Kebab, Pizza looked and was said to be lovely too! Just what was needed after the drive up.

Called up to ask a few simple questions like if they do delivery ect. And got very rude answers all I wanted was pizza not bad attitude

Was down here on holiday a couple of weeks ago with my partner and 4 month old son . We waited for the restaurant to open once it did we where told they had no where they could sit us due to having a buggy with us . The restaurant was empty at the time and we would have been in and out way before its busy spell . Owner clearly wasn’t interested in our custom.

There is a sign at the front "fish and chips". You come in and they say "we don't make fish". Because we were tourist we asked kindly is there any fish and chips in the area. Some rude, stinky fella came from the back and went "Why don't you go Google and find it". Service and hygiene of this gentelman was less than ridiculous. We also asked few locals and they didn't say anything positive about this place. We were recomended to go Wigtown. 10 minutes drive and we had lovely, fresh fish. Don't waste your time and money with Royal Pizza. They are very far from Royal Hahaha

I wouldn’t bother unless you want the wrong order that’s undercooked. I ordered a half and half pizza, half was ok but My pizza toppings weren’t right and the chips had barely been dipped in the fryer, they were still frozen in the middle and completely soggy. When I called to complain the attitude was absolutely shocking, he actually seemed angry with me for telling him what he’d done wrong and there was no way the chips could be frozen they’d been in a fryer.. I’m a chef and I know a frozen chip.? I was told that unless I drove the 8 mile round trip back with it I wouldn’t be getting a refund and this was ‘McDonalds rules too’. Clearly aiming for a high standard there. I’ll never be back.

Most disgusting pizza I have had ever had not good at all I would give it =20 we had 3 pizza and had burger. I will definitely not going there again. I would of paid £10 for the lot that's being generous

Just had 4 pizzas from here whilst on holiday in Newton Stuart- excellent service, tasty pizzas and a very reasonably priced - would recommend.

Me and 2 other work colleagues came here after working in the area, I ordered a pizza along with a colleague, and the other lad ordered a portion of donner meat, food was ready in around 15 minutes which wasn't an issue. The issue rose when we got the food, The pizzas were just covered in grease and undercooked, The donner meat wasn't much better, food was returned to the restraunt.

Absolutely disgusting takeaway, 3 of us stopped off for food on the way home from working in the area, 2 ordered pizzas and other ordered just a portion of donner meat, everything came back swimming in grease and undercooked, food went into the bin, totally inedible

£30 for a 12 inch pizza and 2 donner chips and cheese. Crazy prices for a 1 star takeaway. Told them to leave it. Indian gate in Newton is a proper Indian restaurant I'd recommend there.

Where to even start. Pakora looks like it's been fired in the fryer for 3 days on the trot and the meat inside was grey. Kebab meat like my belt. Brown lettuce. Just vile. Take my word for It. Never in my 39 years have I had such a rancid takeaway. How on earth can they get away with this standard of 'food'?

Pointless shop opens from 4-9 instead of the times advertised . Waste of a food license in the town. Food is over priced and is never consistent it’s a hit or miss . For this I give it a miss and go else where

Really tasty pizzas. Only thing that would be good is to have a kids menu but other than that it's good. Staff friendly.

Stinks inside the shop , the food has a very funny smell to it ,, £8.50 for a donner kebab I ate 1 mouth full , glad it's not my local kebab shop worst ever been to

Absolutely disgusting, wish I could add the photo's I took.  Our first night in Newton Stewart and we will be avoiding this place in future.  Hubby took the pizzas (if that's what you could call them) back, and they had the cheek to say that's the way they are supposed to be, put them back in the oven for a second time and now we not only still had raw dough, but burnt crusts. I'm not one for wasting food but they now have a home in the BIN. AVOID AT ALL COST

Over priced and not very nice food.

The pizza was ok and really filling, but I did find it a little heavy on the cheese which made it greasy and woke up feeling like I was in the Kalahari desert in the middle of the night.

Absolutely disgusting food, avoid at all cost. The food was overpriced and vile. Totally not worth spending your hard earned money at this pizza shop. Completely gutted.

Very dissapointing. As a local not a tourist I would avoid. Very expensive and the chicken kebab was deep fried as opposed to being cooked on the griddle resulting in fleshy stringy chicken. There are better places to eat. This wasnt my first visit. Gave them the benefit of the doubt last time, but def wont ever be back.

Food is brilliant , lovely family runs own bussines and works hard to give customers what like n need. Pizzas n kebabs are yummy

Been a few times food I thought was quite nice then had a mixed kebab and when I got home found a fly in the box dead but hey I didn't eat any more and on next visit told owner of this to be told I was a lier got quite aggressive in front of my wife and was rude to her also so I just left and won't be back

Ordered kebabs. Were being wrapped in paper with sauce separate. Asked If could get them in a tray as eating in the car. Was told no as that's no how kebabs are made...Even though they had trays sitting. then they put sauce on my chips even though the cause was to go on my daughter's chips n cheese n kebab...which she ironically got in a tray. Tried to say we asked for it even though the girl who took the order told her sauce was separate not for those chips. Very arrogant people in the shop. Food though was really good. Shame customer skills were lacking and talk to you with attitude as if I was stupid. Sadly will never be back ever!! Plus at £7 For a donner kebab is probably the most I've ever paid anywhere.

The pizza is amazing, but the owner is even better! He welcomed us while we were there on vacation and he was so friendly and hospitable. A definite must if you are anywhere in the area or even drive down for the day just for the pizza! It is worth it!

SO TASTY! We ordered a pizza and fish and chips one night. it was so good that we went back the next day! The owner is so nice and chatted with us the entire time. He made us feel so welcome. I definitely recommend this little place if you are anywhere near Newton Stewart

We came a really bad amount of times within the week we were up there and the staff were so lovely and kind had great convosations and the good was great!

Great choice of both English and foreign food staff are polite an will do there best to suit you and your friends wants.

Fantastic food, fantastic service - No better place in Newton Stewart
