The pizza might be twice the price but it's twice as nice!

The first day we arrived we started looking for a place to have dinner and everyone who came in had the kitchen closed or was closing very soon, so we found this one and there was no problem. It is a fairly spacious restaurant and very located. It has quite a few Italian food items but we opted for a pepperoni pizza and another pizza with ham mushrooms etc. They were good and the service was very friendly.

Okay, here’s why 5 stars. At midnight — when you’re jetlagged, if you’re an insomniac, whatever — the pizza/shawarma/halal joint that has the decency to be open — and serves totally decent food: that’s a five-star joint right there. Cool, chatty Middle-Eastern dudes. Fast, friendly service. Incredible lamb, doner, falafel, pizza, fries, you name it, you’ll be thanking heaven they’re there, and they’re open. Why is the humble, inexpensive food is always the best-tasting? Take THAT, msr. Michelin! Ten stars.

Normal pizza place it was pretty decent not really have much more to say.

We normally eat here late night around 4 am. The food and behaviour of staff is great ! 👍

I have travelled 12 cities a year in Europe for the last 2 years. But here I had the worst pizza ever..it's not bad it's worse. Don't go here..

Homophobic pizza place! Great pizza, good service, even better at facilitating abusive behaviour towards people who aren't straight! Dined here fairly late at night - Excited to have some pizza. Myself and a friend were waiting for our pizza and chatting to the table next to us where a couple of American men were sat, we were all joking about, chatting nonsense as you do at that kind of night. Out of the blue, the two American men decided to hurl homophobic slurs at us, at which point we took offense. The bouncer removed the pair in question, but then decided to kick us out and accuse us of instigating this as the other two were Americans. The sad thing is that the staff were very kind, the food was nice, but the bouncer and the treatment we received after having homophobic abuse hurled at us was horrendous. The bouncer kicked us out and told us we were "being xenophobic" because we'd be joking around about the other two being American (I am English, my friend is Australian), and it was back & forth banter, until it wasn't. There was no xenophobic language or intentions used, we were chatting for a while with the other table, perhaps admittedly a bit loudly, however it was late at night and everyone in there was being quite loud. The staff didn't seem to take offense at us being there, but this interaction with the bouncer, the lack of support for the abuse of a protected characteristic, and ourselves being kicked out after being verbally abused has left a horrible feeling in an otherwise accepting and welcoming city.

So there I was, 11pm, aimlessly wandering the streets, stomach growling like some tragic Dickensian orphan, when I stumbled upon this pizza place. Walking in, the place was completely empty. Naturally, I was a little sceptical, but two lovely waitresses greeted me. I sat down, ordered a pizza, and prepared myself for it to be ‘just fine’. What I got instead was a pizza so perfect it made me question every life choice that had brought me to this moment. If you’re reading this, go. Immediately. I’m convinced the empty restaurant was some kind of cosmic fluke, and when you get there, you’ll probably find a queue down the block. But just in case it isn’t, enjoy the best pizza in Edinburgh.

Enjoyed a fresh deliciously dressed salad and pepperoni pizza here. The staff are lovely.

It needs a little bit of music ! But the food is descent... Price is reasonable! Keep up the good work!!

I had a deeply upsetting experience at this venue early Sunday morning. While waiting to join my best friend, who was already in the queue, I was verbally abused by a group of young men who accused me of lying about my hidden disability. As someone with a physical disability, standing in a long queue is not feasible for me, and I was shocked by the blatant hostility and discrimination I faced. What made this situation even worse was the inaction of the bouncer, who was standing right next to us and did nothing to intervene. Instead, he allowed the individuals who verbally abused me to enter ahead of us, despite witnessing the entire incident. When questioned, he claimed he “didn’t hear” anything, which was completely untrue given his proximity. This experience left me feeling unsafe and unwelcome. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures better training for their staff to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all patrons, especially those with disabilities

We recently stumbled upon Pizza Paradise in Edinburgh, and it turned out to be an amazing experience! The quick service and incredibly friendly staff made our visit truly memorable. We ordered the pepperoni pizza, which was simply perfect – fresh, flavorful, and baked to perfection. The olives served alongside were a delightful surprise, unlike anything we've tasted before – absolutely exceptional! As for the prices, we were pleasantly surprised. It wasn’t much more expensive than ordering pizza back home, making it excellent value for money. If you’re in Edinburgh and looking for a fantastic pizza place, Pizza Paradise is a must-visit! 🍕

Carbonara pasta and garlic bread were both amazing and were topped on with extra parmesan and black pepper at the table. Staff were super helpful and nice. I can’t recommend this place enough!! Loved it

Hamburger was Ok, but their pizza is great! We came late night and it was open, we immediately got a friendly welcoming and a table. The staff were ready to serve and were attentive to our needs (sometimes a bit too often). One thing i didn’t like was the card machinę asking for Tips at payment. The staff deserve it, but just charge more in general to pay them a good salary.

Best pizza and service in Edinburgh! They are very personable and remembered my name when I came back a second time.

I didn't have any hope because of how it was, but I have to say that the pizza is really good. And if you've had a pint before, even better. 100% recommended

We were looking for places to eat in Edinburgh, the part of the old city and we found Pizza Paradise at "more normal" prices, the truth is that everything was quite expensive. We ordered 1 carbonara pasta and a chicken burger, the truth is the food came quickly, they had a large drink (sparkling water), so we shared that drink. Everything super good!

Went here with friends on New Years for the first time and loved the food and atmosphere. I ordered the Lasagna and it was so good that ever since then whenever I go I'll order their Lasagna. Also their pizza is pretty good. Good thing is they are open until late I think maybe 3 am or sth

The man REFUSED to let us in. Our only crime was being two beautiful girls in need of scran. But no. Not allowed. The man was awful, the guys behind us were like yo let the girls in, we will let them go in front of us in the queue but the man said NO. the barred us from entry. Not OK. Two beautiful girls hungry on the streets. Do not go here if you are beautiful or a girl, the man is a major twat. Take your custom elsewhere, they deserve it.

If I could leave less than 1 star I would. It says they are open until 5 but I arrived at 3 and they would not serve me. They denied service to us because we are Mexican. They said there was no space to serve us, however there were 2 whole tables available and one great pair or friends that offered their table because they were leaving. Upon seeing this, they literally told us "we will not serve you". Honestly, there's a reason why their stars are so low.

They were racists and don't want me and my wife to have something to eat after hours. What a shame the only spot in Edinburgh to be sooooo RACISTS

I ordered 2 pizzas from them, and to be honest, the taste was shocking, not a mistake, and I recommend it

Disappointing. No more pasta in the early evening, no risotto or similar on offer. Since we didn't feel like pizza, we chose Caesar salad, which was completely mashed with chicken and didn't taste good at all. The garlic bread with cheese was chewy rubber. A neighbor at the table asked for grated cheese. While the guest sprinkled the cheese on her food, the server stood obtrusively next to or practically above the guest's plate and watched like a hawk as she put it on her salad. Another guest was offered pepper from the mill, but was not allowed to put it on himself; the server did that again. Grated cheese and pepper mill were taken back with us straight away. Only the bruschettas were good, which is no art.

Really lovely, quiet place. As an introvert, like coming here occasionally for a nice, filling dinner. Pizza is really good, but you can get a burger as well if you'd like. Friendly staff and nice, cozy atmosphere. Open till 5AM as well which is fantastic!

Lots of probably very cheap cheese on the pizza and lasagne. Went there as a couple and both had stomach problems afterwards. The taste wasn't good at all, the prices were completely exorbitant for the service offered.

First time I came here the staff were very friendly and professional, Food tasted fresh, hot and full of flavour.. Been back a few time since.. Never disappointed..

Don't come at night without a reservation. They don't do take aways. Update : When I came back during the day pizzas were expensive and mot so good

After 10pm it is impossible to dine in Edinburgh. I was there twice and the food was very good (pizza, pasta and salad). The service was exquisite from the waiters. It is a highly recommended place for a late dinner.

Good pizza! And that's what counts at a pizza place... 😜 Didn't really appreciate being charged £1.20 extra for a few olives on top, but it's not the end of the world. Especially good if you're on a night out and get hungry afterwards!

The place is open late which is good but you have to order 2 pizzas or 3 burgers in order to stay. After fulfilling their order, you are literally kicked out by the bouncer. I suspect it's racism. We were the only asians there. Literally we were the only ones asked to leave. Utterly ridiculous. Basically the message is once we have your money it's fine get out. Nice way to do business. Very appreciated. Great service 6/5 stars

Pizza is moist not dry, it makes me wonder if the pizza is completely baked. However, the tagliatelle with salmon with cream sauce is midnight delight. Although all the bad reviews, I would say if you eager some food near midnight, this is the right place. Just remember don’t order pizza regardless your ethnicity ( I’ve read some reviews from Italian, and they whined about pizza)

Tenner for scabby dry chips with cheese and kebab meat that tasted like fish. Scandalous

I thought Domino’s had the worst pizza, to my surprise pizza can be served even worse. I received an undercooked, doughy pizza. Had to sent this beautiful monstrosity back and here is my tip for the owners How Can You Recover Undercooked Pizza Dough? About 90% of the time, popping the pie back in the oven and letting it bake for 3-5 more minutes does the trick. If you have received an underbaked takeaway pizza, microwaving it for a minute will crisp it up nicely. 5 minutes in a preheated oven will also work.

Just bought a ham and mushroom pizza and portion of chicken pakora. One of the best pizzas ive ever had. The pakora was 4 large portions of chicken. Delish. We are now stuffed, great feed..Recommended!!

I should have known walking into this place what kinda joint it was food quality wise. Worst doner kebab I’ve ever had. Chicken was dry and hard and lamb had almost no flavor. Pizza looked like it was at least fresh out of the oven. Can’t speak for the quality though. People were nice, just absolute garbage quality

Frozen pizza when it doesn't take much to make an authentic homemade pizza. It's a shame they don't put the effort into make an authentic pizza when they are positioned in a prime loacation.

I’ve been coming here for over 10-years when I’m visiting from Durham. The food is always fresh and spicy. The highlight is the staff attitude. They’ve always been friendly and easy going. They will take your used wrappers and dispose of them. If you want good quality food and great staff, Pizza Paradise will take some beating.

Really delicious pizza and pasta!!!! Really!🤤🤤🤤 The ambience is also very good and the service was TOP! Strangely enough we were completely alone but I think we were just early with dinner at 5:30pm. 😜 From the outside it's a bit inconspicuous... The few photos of the restaurant are a bit stupidly edited since I had low light but I guarantee it has a really nice atmosphere. Treat yourself!

I think I'm stupid because I'm Italian and try to eat pizza abroad, however I highly doubt they have ever seen or eaten a real one. Service was cool although I ordered a pizza but received another The atmosphere was weird cause the screen shows beaches all around the world except Italy so I don't really understand why the Italian flag is shown

Food was actually amazing. And it's open super late. But I saw a bloke in an apron leave the toilet stall and walk straight into the kitchen without washing his hands. Hope it's why they're open so late and not why the food tastes so good.

Popped in for a late night supper of chips cheese and gravy. Got back to hotel, the gravy was cold and hadn't melted the cheese. In fact it had coagulated. Absolutely vile.

Don’t go here the bouncer was pretty much abusive - the fact that even need a bouncer says enough - we literally got hate crimed and shouted at down the street because at 3am we assumed that it was a takeaway not a full sit down restaurant - grim atmosphere and nasty staff and the food looks weird also one of the staff was very weird with one of my friends and following her around in a nightclub when she saw him (he was definitely in his 50s and this is an 18 year old girl) 😬

Probably one of the very few places in Edinburgh old town that’ll serve you food after 9pm .. amazing bruschetta and pizza!!! Two really sweet women served us. Must visit.

Late night feed after the club. Perfect way to end your night in Edinburgh. Gets busy after 3am when all the clubs close.

Apparently you can't order a pizza to share in the restaurant this feels disrespectful as my friends and I did not want a pizza each

Absolutely fantastic pizza. The smoked salmon pizza is unbelievable.

We ordered chips with curry sauce (vegetarian) and found little bits of chicken in it. When we notified the staff they accused us of lying and were very hostile towards us. Very concerning if people with genuine allergies order food and it is contaminated with things that shouldn’t be in it.

A nice location in the heart of Edinburgh. Had a good fish 'n chips plus a very tasty Tiramisu that I can for sure recommend.

Had the worst experience. We did have a lovely pizza but when it came time to pay our bill came to £18.75. The girl out in the number as we were going to split it from me and my friend which would have been £9.37. The waitress out in the total and I tapped away like I my friend would normally do. Luckily she gets a notification right away when money comes out of her account. It was £93.75 out!!! Right away she questioned it and the manager came right away and refunded her £75.00 but didn’t say any or apologize. The women working named Ola was comforting and sincere at least and very helpful. But my friend Amy could not leave the restaurant knowing they had £75.00 of her money “potentially” being refunded. We went back to Ola who comforted us in a sense to acknowledge that if by Monday Amy doesn’t receive a refund to come back at which time I said I “Sabrina” would be coming back since Amy doesn’t live close. I personally don’t know if this place of business is running a scam or not. But this is a local area for a lot of drunk people to go for a late night pizza. My friend Amy and I were not drunk luckily and just enjoying time out so she caught it. But so many drunk folks could potentially walk into this hassle/“potential scam” if they are not careful. Be careful to check the amount. If the amount is not in my friend Amy’s bank account Monday l, I will be filing a large Appeal and going within the restaurant to get this money back!

We were greeted and seated by a friendly person. Unfortunately it went downhill swiftly from there. When ordering drinks we asked whether the house wine was dry. The server replied, 'I don't know. I don't drink'. Didn't offer to find out. I asked if they could do smaller portions of meals for the children (no children's menu, which wouldn't be a problem). I was told, 'What they don't eat will be put in a box.' It's fringe in the middle of the afternoon. What would we do with a box of food? We then asked roughly how long food usually took and were told, 'I don't know'. Again, no offer to find out either. We had to ask three times if she could check with the chef. We never got an answer but food did come in good time to make our next show. After I paid, what was left of my wine was whisked from in front of me faster than I could blink. I would have asked for it to be refunded but couldn't face more attitude and dirty looks. We left without tipping. Won't be back. Such a shame for the great person who greeted us as it was terrible service from her colleague.

Came here after a show at Monkey Barrel because I had an absolute need for mozzarella and we were not disappointed. My husband had Bolognese but also the salad because otherwise he would eat mine and this was also amazing. The staff were really attentive, polite and friendly and the wines were reasonable priced, prosecco is delicious. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Got food from the takeaway section after a concert. Bossman kept threatening the staff, shouted at my friend for no reason and made me dance for my chicken burger. The dine in section seemed to have the same admission policy as Berghain. Vibes were absolutely demented but giving 5 stars because the chicken burger was absolutely delicious and bossman gave me a free Diet Coke. Will definitely visit again next time I’m in Edinburgh.
