I asked them NOT to put fresh tomatoes on my burger but turned up with a half sliced tomato on the cheese it spoiled my hole cheese burger as I could taste the tomato. Simple as no tomato

Was a wonderful pizza, but I was surprised that the base was so thin! Have all your pizzas changed? How can I order a thicker base please?

Chips and curry sauce were great. Kebab wrap was okay. There was no option for salad or sauce and it wasn’t wrapped in tinfoil so the wrap fell apart with paper

the food was lovely and it arrived on time, however I found a piece of plastic about an inch long in my garlic bread, which was quite alarming.

The meal was delicious. The chicken in the kabab was and tender with a gorgeous marinade. The calzone was full of meat and the donnar meat was very tender. I phoned up to enquire about allergies priop to ordering and they couldn't be more helpful. Delivery driver was very friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Disappointed Regular Customer – Quality and Service Have Declined I’ve been a loyal customer here, especially for the shish wraps, but after my recent experiences, I don’t think I’ll be coming back. In my latest order, I clearly requested only garlic sauce and salad dressing for the sauces—but they misunderstood my note and assumed that’s all I wanted in the wrap. They left out the entire salad that normally comes with it. I ended up with a dry wrap containing just meat and sauces. I understand English might not be everyone’s first language, but my instructions were very clear. When I reached out to customer service to explain the issue, the person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful, offering no solution or apology. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first problem. My second-to-last order had burnt lamb meat—so overcooked it completely ruined the wrap. While the owner did offer a replacement, I was still made to pay for delivery again, which didn’t feel fair considering it was their mistake. I’ve supported this place for a while, but the quality and customer care have really declined. Very disappointing experience.

One of the Worst Takeaways I've Had I recently tried Ali’s Takeaway and, unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. I ordered the Donner Wrap, which cost £7.60 — a pretty hefty price for a takeaway. To my surprise, they also asked for an additional 50p charge if I paid by card. I’ve never encountered an extra charge for card payments at any other place, which felt a bit unnecessary and frustrating. When I finally got the wrap, I was really let down by the quality. It was incredibly bland with no real flavor or seasoning. For the price, I expected much more. The meat was dry and lacking in the typical spices that make a donner wrap delicious. The wrap itself wasn’t anything special either, and it felt like it had been thrown together with no care or thought for presentation or taste. Overall, I didn’t feel like the food was worth the money, and the additional card charge left a bad taste. The experience was underwhelming, and I honestly won’t be returning. I’d recommend skipping this place and trying other takeaway spots in the area that actually value their customers and offer decent, flavorful food without the hidden fees.

First time we have had a pizza from her. It was great. Plenty of stuff on the pizza. 👍

Great meal tonight best in a while

food arrived but my drinks were missing, I called the restaurant to advise and they agreed to send the delivery driver to drop the drinks off. unfortunately my drinks didn't arrive and the restaurant didn't bother calling me back.

The delivery driver was very rude to staff who received my order. I wasn’t able to get to the door when he buzzed on time as I work in care and didn’t have my phone on me. He told me not to order again from this company if I can’t accept a delivery on top and not to waste his time .

Had an amazing Donner Kebab. Excellent service; I wanted something quick but not sacrificing quality. Sooo glad I did because it was absolutely fantastic. The service was exceptional, but the food is what really matters and deserves more than 5 stars just for that. Great experience allround. Can't wait to try something else.

This was the second time I bought food from your establishment, unfortunately this time I was quite disappointed about the quality, taste and look of the fish. It looked like been reheated every day in the past week and eventually some has bought it. I won’t even mention scampies as they weren’t any better.

First time have ordered here. Food took well over an hour to come, delivery driver was surly. Baked potato quite nice, pizza was really thick dough and loaded with jalapenos even though it never mentioned these on the description.

so, used to absolutely adore this place for there pizza base sauce and there style of chips, asked for a 12' thin based chicken and sweetcorn pizza, I got 12 inches of dough 'unfortunately I can't give 12' of anything so i won't be judgemental' but i did state thin based not a toppings with dough. also chips aren't unique more oven style, not chippy chip style, more supermarket. actually gutted about the quality. genuinely should've went and got a pizza from asda and oven chips.

Ordered at 6:15 estimates delivery for 7:00 arrives at 7:45 food cold and soggy! Phoned to speak to someone explain situation passed to an apparent manager who is shouting at me it’s only an estimate! I explained yes but estimate and 45min beyond estimate is not expected when I live 10min drive away nor is rude staff when you are paying for a service! Won’t use again waste of money don’t recommend much better takeaways within area!

Ali's made a v rare mistake on a busy Friday & delivered an incorrect pizza. I phoned up, explained & they they sent the correct order out straight away, with an Irn Bru to apologise! Excellent customer service & why I'll always order from them! Perfect! 😊👍👏

Huge mix up. Was told that driver had been to my door and no answer! No one had been to my door. Restaurant called me and said they’d send a new delivery. 2hours and 15 minutes from original order I received my food. Penne Fungi Creme was actually penne carbonara just penne in a cheese sauce and I wasn’t able to eat it. Pizza was acceptable but by then I was so put off I didn’t even eat half.. very disappointing to say the least..

Paid £2 extra to have green chillies on my pizza and they didn't add them.

Lovely food as always, but thought the chicken kebab meat would have been a bit more, my husband loved it!!! Literally licked the plate, just maybe a bit more chicken!!!!!!!

I ordered chip, cheese and kebab. but that's not what I received. the cheese was missing and I paid for it. I've been charged for it also. when it such probably have been reduced to chips ans kebab option on the menu. not sure I'm gonna be ordering again for a while. was really looking forward to trying this put. disappointing. I can't remember how it was as I was busy at the time

I've got the different food from which I've ordered. I'm very disappointed and they are irresponsible and not attending the calls after I got my food delivered. I've wasted my money on them. It's waste of money and waste of time.

Chips brown overcooked and same with onion rings black and crisp. Have took photos. Clean your oil

Took a while for delivery around 1hr for cheesy chips and a kebab. Did have to put food in microwave as it was slightly on the cold side. Did enjoy it for what it was would maybe return again … still looking for a good takeaway in Edinburgh
