Poorly lit restaurant and awful print contrast on menus. Bizarre ‘deals’ and offers made it challenging to work out whether to order separately or get a deal. Service with a smile? Not today. Clean & tidy? Not today. Tasty food? Far from it. Value for money? Not likely - bl**dy expensive for two adults and two under 10’s. Under 10 yes but did they look like the sort that would like crayons & a colour sheet? Before composing this report I had a look through the previous ones - there’s a common theme, this place is not worth visiting. If you are thinking of going and reading these reviews, do the right thing and go somewhere else.

Visited with family. After watching a rat roam the car park, we went in, first time in years - was pleased to see it was quiet and lots of tables available, not how I remember it being on a Sunday evening. Staff came to greet us, and the first thing we were told was there’s no cash - which isn’t a problem, but thought it’s not a great impression. We were shown to our table and a QR code on the table was pointed out to us and we were advised this is how you order and pay - we were not offered any table service. The food itself came swiftly and was good, with the children’s meal deal well priced. Although I would say that the adult prices are expensive. We mentored to each other that the staff at Pizza Hit are now glorified cleaners rather than waiter/waitesses Overall just a poor experience, unlikely to go back.

BEWARE a company called HX car parks patrol the carpark. I visit on a busy afternoon and took the only space avaliable. As I had kids, had to park slightly over to get them out due to car next to me parking over, and I mean my rear tyre was slightly touching the line (see photo) ... £100 fine and pizza hut don't want to know. As you can see, no issues with others using the parking spaces either side. Nevertheless, this despicable company dont care. I'll never eat at pizza hut again.

We went today as a family to take my Mum and Dad out for the festive period. My dad had a stroke a couple of years ago so struggles to get out and his mobility isn’t very good. We arrived just as the buffet was finishing as it took us so long to get dad into and out of the car. The team at the Halifax restaurant couldn’t have been more helpful with us and went above and beyond to make mum and dads visit really enjoyable. Just wanted to say a huge thank you to them and the manager, so sorry I don’t get his name!!

Shocking, stale, overpriced, cold pizzas delivered. Received a full refund as they were inedible. Don’t waste your money

Called in on Friday night for 4 pizzas for £50 . The place was absolutely dead! Not one customer and I think I know why. First, I find them quite expensive ( and this was a special deal!) compared to my usual local pizza take away. Also the quality isn’t as good. We didn’t get any further than the front desk as we were informed they don’t accept money ! Yep, a business not accepting money in return for merchandise , what could possibly go wrong . We don’t do card any more so that let us out . I had only gone there as my usual is always super busy at this time on a Friday eve . Anyway Pizza Hut if you read your reviews ( you probably don’t) , I think I know why your restaurant is dead on a Friday night a town centre with good parking . People still use money , stop discriminating against people who don’t use card for everything . Our money is actually better ( see Martin Lewis money saving expert for all the reasons why) I also noticed that on the menu they no longer do a sea food pizza so that would also have been me out. Further to this, friends of ours went two weeks before and my friend asked the same question I always do . Namely , which is your darkest bitter. He was presented with a choice of 1. They had managed to find the only bitter that was as to a larger as you could ever find ! Why do this ? If you don’t want to offer a choice British beers, at least have one thing that’s actually like a proper bitter Don’t think this place will still be around next year unless they sort themselves out

Very friendly staff who examined the ordering to process to my group. They were very smiley and always ready to help if needed. Pizzas were hot and fresh, and cleanliness was not an issue.

Visited with my 13 year old daughter. Arrived and the waitress showed us to our table and said we could order using the QR code on the table. I said I’d prefer to order in person due to dietary requirements and she rolled her eyes and said she would come back shortly. She didn’t…..I had to flag down a young guy who looked to be the only person working. The tables had a sticky residue on them. Our food came and mine was burned. Had to ask for knives and forks. Whilst eating and looking round, the place was dirty with food on the floor and loads of tables still full of dirty plates and glasses. For the price I felt robbed tbh. My daughter went to the toilet and came back out and said they were disgusting and she’d wait until we got home. The only positive was the young lad who served us who was polite and efficient and as I said earlier, looked to be the only one rushed off his feet.

Service from a lady called Sam was absolutely top notch. We arrived at a very busy time this evening around 5.30 pm with me in my wheelchair. She spoke with my Son in Law and found us a convenient table in a timely fashion. Whilst we were ordering she mentored us nicely to make the experience easier. After the order was placed then Sam got the drinks for my wife and I to save me having to run the gauntlet of the packed restaurant to get them, and she then chased up the food. But not only that she popped back several times to see that we were okay and didnt need anything. A young black guy with bushy curly hair, who is a Manager, also checked on us a couple of times, to make sure that we were being well looked after despit the fact that they were very very busy. I must commend both of them and the food runners who served up our orders and also chased up a couple of missing items. The pizzas were good and tasty, but the salad bar had been hit very hard by the mob who were in there when we arrived. However by the time we had ordered and got driinks it was well replenished and had a good selection stocked up again. A couple of detriments were the state of some of the sauce jugs and ladles on the salad bar, and the very poor labelling on the handles of the ladles, which were very obscured by being all sticky and gooey from previous customers kids. All in all a good experience, especially from the staff. The food was fair and mostly tasty, even the ice cream at the finish. Sadly they had run out of the real pepsi but the pepsi max was okay We will return again.

Called to try out their buffet as we hadn't had one for a long time. Previously loved them - boy how they've changed! £14.99 each for the buffet, drinks and ice cream. Cheap tasteless salad offerings. All the pizzas were cold and the amount of topping sparse. There was one spoon of creamy pasta left drying in the bottom of the pot. We reported the cold pizzas and we did get an apology and they were eventually replaced however you don't expect to have to wait for things to be ready on a buffet, never mind wait for the whole selection of the main buffet contents to be replaced. Not what you expect when you think you're going out for a treat. Big let down.

this place does not accept cash and no we dont do apps either wont return ever again plenty of nice places in town centre that take cash and offer better service and food give this place a miss

Visited with my Son and elderly Mother, staff were very helpful in finding a suitable place for us to sit. Food was absolutely delicious. Manager pointed out a sharing deal which saved me quite a few pounds. We will definitely be eating there again. Yes, they have the awful ordering on your phone system but you can also order via a member of staff too. No complaints from us.

We take the family, to pizza hut, every Christmas Eve but this year will be the last. The lady who seated us and the lady who brought our food we're lovely BUT this restaurant has gone onto the impersonal, hard to use QR code ordering. Awful! Couldn't put in what we didn't want on and one pizza came covered in rocket ... Revolting stuff! Luckily the girl, who brought the food, arranged for another pizza. Unfortunately that meant one person was starting theirs when everyone else has finished. That wouldn't have happened if we could give our order to a waitress. The onion rings were soggy and the jalapeno starter was horrible but the second may have been a bad choice. I'm really disappointed with this restaurant. We usually visit about a dozen times a year but I think the owner is trying to save money by using QR code ordering instead of employing local people so no more support from us.

Just had pizza at the Halifax branch, the pizza was poor quality as we're the sides, very expensive too. Children running a mock with drinks and ice cream, we won't be visiting again.

I still can’t believe you don’t get interaction with staff. They force you to order from the app. If you try and ask the staff for any help with anything 1. There’s hardly anyone about. 2. You’d swear that it was all of their staffs last day. The food wasn’t the worst but when you’re spending £60 on lunch for 4 you would expect a little bit of decent service. I won’t be returning that’s for sure

My partner and I went for the lunchtime buffet on a Bank Holiday Monday. The quality of the pizzas was very good, but the pasta was only passable and the salad bar was uninteresting. Being vegetarians, it would have been very helpful if the pizzas on offer in the buffet were identified somehow. We decided to play it safe and only eat margherita, which made the buffet option completely redundant. The worst part of our visit was definitely the two female staff who we interacted with during our visit. They were rude, surly, unprofessional and completely lacking manners. Even if the food had been more identifiable and inspiring, the staff would still have ruined our experience. Pizza Hut would be well advised to offer some form of training to staff, rather than giving the job of front of house service to whoever has the least debilitating hangover.

Service terrible- get rid of the app now and bring people back! You are still treating it like it’s lockdown and restrictions! Get back to how it was with smart presented staff introducing themselves as your server and actually getting good service! It’s a joke won’t return until gets back to normal.

We are first time customers and we ordered 2 pizzas on Saturday night and they were the most bland tasting, flavourless pizzas we have ever had in our lives and I'm not exaggerating. I have had more delicious glasses of water. For £36 I expected a taste sensation but you somehow managed to select all the most flavourless meats in the entire world and put them on our pizzas. I didn't even think it was possible to have pepperoni that hardly tastes of anything. The only thing that had any flavour was the dip and the only reason that turned up was because we paid extra for it separately. We had wrongly assumed that we would received a free dip with each pizza so its lucky we did otherwise we would have had to eat the pizza on its own. We even added cheese stuffed crust but wished we hadn't bothered, it had so little taste we might as well have eaten a lard sandwich. It was so bland that we both took a lateral flow test to make sure we didn't have covid (we don't btw; your pizza genuinely is that bad). What a way to spoil our Saturday night.

The worst experience ever visiting Pizza Hut today. The service was unbelievably slow and it wasn’t all that busy. The tables and chairs were filthy and sticky. We waited 30 minutes for our food , the fries came first on their own then we waited an extra 10 minutes for the rest to come.

I Went last week with the kids, cutlery dirty, floor all sticky, food all over the floor. Menus sticky from drinks been spilt on them. We left our food, paid and went. I’m a massive fan of Pizza Hut, particularly the one in Birstall. However, today I visited Pizza Hut in Halifax just for a takeout as I was craving dessert. I popped in store and asked for the malteaser cheesecake (which I usually love) however today I was left appalled! I was stood around for 12 whole minutes before someone noticed me to came to take my order! Once I placed my order and paid around £6 for just the cake, I was left waiting a further 8/9 minutes! Still I didn’t let that put me off as I was craving the cake so badly, when I got home I was even more disappointed! The cake tasted as if I was licking the inside of a fridge! There was no cheesecake taste, no taste from the chocolate sauce and it was topped in soggy malteasers! It tasted as if it had been in a fridge for months! Disgusting! I will not be coming back, this has put me off Pizza Hut desserts full stop!

We've always had these issues when we go here but sometimes it's the only place open and of course the pizza is good so we venture back occasionally. The place is sticky, the menu's were sticky and the toilets smelled REALLY bad.

What can I say. Pizza Hut in Haliax is same as in Scotland as in lands end they never vary, very clean, very friendly, toilets spotless,service good, once a year is good for me but when you want a Pizza Hut pizza, you can’t get that taste anywhere else very tasty

Im not a big fan of pizza but my son wanted to come here for his birthday. Food was lovley and staff here are very nice. Ice cream machine wasnt working but they were happy to get him as much ice cream as he wanted so he was happy!! Nice atmosphere and will come again.

Fuimos a Pizza Hut en la noche de un día inusualmente soleado, lo que significaba que era más tranquila de lo habitual para una noche de fin de semana. El camarero dijo que había sido tranquila todo el día, y sólo hay unas pocas mesas adoptadas. La comida era muy agradable pero llegamos a diferentes intervalos, ordenamos una fuente compartir con 2 / 3 llegó rápidamente con la última parte de llegar un poco más tarde. Mientras todavía en el medio de comer entrantes el plato. Nos sentamos mesa pequeña ina y literalmente no podía haber instalado la comida extra en la mesa, así que pedimos que lo lleven, el camarero volver unos minutos más tarde a decir que había pedido para ellos, así que estaban recién volví cuando llegamos. Aparte de los pocos problemas de servicio la comida estaba muy buena, esta fue sin duda una de las mejores comidas Pizza Hut que hemos tenido en términos de la comida durante mucho tiempo.

Personalmente yo no suelo comer pizza hut, ya que creo que es demasiado caro para lo que es. Tenía una tarjeta de regalo, así que probamos el buffet de almuerzo. Bueno, no está nada mal 7. 50 cada uno, pero por el momento te dan una bebida y un poco de helado el precio se duplica.

Great evening out with family and friends there were 15 of us in total and the staff catered for us very well considering 10 of the 15 were children.

Ok so if you look closely the refurb is a little rough around the edges, (tiling in loos looks better if you cock your head to one side) but this is my daughters favourite place for when daddy has to cook tea. The pizza is great and the new salad bar is better. But the best thing is the new ice cream station with tons of choices. Overall a good place to go.

We had a very friendly waiter who made sure we had what we needed at all times. The food was very nice and piping hot. The salad bar could have been better, a few things had run out and the salad items looked very 'tired'. We were given crayons for our baby which helped keep him happy whilst waiting for food. Due a refurbishment next week apparently, it will be good to see how it changes.

This is an average pizza restaurant ideal for kids birthday parties etc. There is nothing special about the pizzas , if you are after a proper Italian style pizzas this the wrong place . Even pizza express is much better . Pizzas in Pizza Hut are very doughy and greasy . Staff are very helpful . Ps be careful in the car park the private company eps is very keep to issue a ticket if you parked over the white lines etc.

Arrived at 15.04 buffet finishes as 15.00 . They let us fill Plates from buffet then manager decided we were too late. They took our plates off us and threw them in bin . Crazy waste of food over 4 minutes ! Staff tried hard after that to make it up to us as they obviously felt bad that their manager had made such a seen . She needs to go they need to stay .

Firstly half - greeted, sat down ordered drinks and food. Staff courteous and friendly and prompt. Food average but tasty. The prawn starter and the cookie dough were the highlights. Yum yum.Second half - ordered dessert and at same time asked for our left over pizzas to be boxed for take out. What came from there on was a shock. 1/. Both our left veggie pizza (ordered by a vegetarian) and left over meat pizzas came in the same box. When challenged they promptly took them away and 'separated' them into individual boxes. a/. Damage done, b/. No sorry or anything to that sort.2/. Half way through our dessert we got given our bill. Maybe due to the premises being full or customary practice? Who knows.3/. All that rushing us for nothing. It still took them 10 minutes after clearing our dessert plates for the waitress to come with the card reader for us to pay.4/. If your going there due to a discount of any sort (student card in our case) beware, ours is only valid Monday to Thursday. Only found that out when it was too late.

I visited with my 3 children for lunch and we all had the buffet. Was plenty of choice and replenished frequently.what gives this place an extra star is the friendly male waiter that always has a smile for you and kept an eye on 2 of the kids as I nipped to car to get bank card and complimented how well behaved my children had been.Thank you

All I will say is visited on Sunday sat for 20 minutes without a member of staff coming to our table. We went to pizza express where food was excellent and service too avoid Pizza Hut :-)

The restaurant was virtually empty on our arrival so we were shown to our table nice and quickly. Our food order was taken and we were told that our waiter would bring us some salad bowls. Well I think we could have been given some clay and a kiln to make our own bowls in the end getting up to fetch our own bowls carefully avoiding the boiling hot straight out of the dishwasher salad bowls! and finding some at near room temperature.On returning to our table there were some boiling hot salad bowls I guess us getting our own must have reminded our server about them. The Salad area was reasonably tidy however the Blue Cheese dressing pot was empty, but was filled quickly when I asked.Back at the table the Garlic Bread arrived I found mine was very greasy giving away a slice to my wife and leaving one and a half slices. When our server collected the plates he asked if everything was ok and walked off without listening to my complaint about the grease.Pizzas arrived I chose the Philly Cheese steak pizza one of the chefs specials, well I would hate to have one of his ordinary pizzas as the pieces of sliced steak were rock hard and brittle, obviously no one at Pizza hut Head Office has ever experienced a proper Philly Cheese steak where the meat is succulent and tasty.My meal was rounded off with a fruit sundae two of my guests choosing a salted caramel dessert and a chocolate brownie both of these took like 20 minutes to arrive and should have been served with a magnifying glass they were so small.Our meal qualified for 33% off main courses other wise this poor excuse of a meal would have cost us £77.00 which is a ridiculous amount of money for the quality of food and service.It is little wonder they are giving away a third of the cost of a main course as they are over priced and poor quality.I will not be returning to Pizza Hut I would rather spend my money elsewhere.

Returned this week after several years when it was nice to see that many of the most pleasant staff were still there. The restaurant and service areas had all been tastefully refurbished with the kitchens looking particularly clean and bright. The menus had all our old favourites with some innovative additions including extra base designs and tasty desserts. My wife had a plain mushroom deep-pan whilst I, being more adventurous in my eating habits, had a Blazing Inferno with an extra anchovy topping. Both delicious. Unlimited fresh salad items plus an icy cold drink of Magners cider left me well satisfied. Despite being busy (children on holiday!) we were served and away within 50 minutes. Perfect.

Visited Pizza Hut on Tuesday evening. It was rather busy when we went to dine, having to wait roughly 10 minutes. This wasn't a problem though as we expected it to be the case with going at tea time. When we took our seats we immediately felt the cold straight away (we were sat at the other side of the restaurant, no where near the door) and were issued with our menus. After we ordered we were given our salad bowls but our starters didn't arrive. The pizza came and the waitress said you've not had your starters have you. We thought something was making it slow. She left our pizza and collect our starters. When eating our food we continued to be cold and we had to sit with our coats on to try and warm up. When we went to pay the bill, the waiter asked if everything had been ok. We said "it was ok apart from being freezing cold and our starters coming once our pizza had arrived." To which he replied, "it's been one of the days." We didn't feel that this was a good enough response. If we have them days in other lines of work we would be getting called to see our boss!

I'm sat in the car park writing this after just eating at Pizza Hut in Halifax.I just need to be absolutely clear the three star rating is nothing to do with the quality of the food, the price or the service - they were all perfectly fine.However, the restaurant was filled with screaming kids (and has been on previous visits). This is no fault of the restaurant but why can't parents control their devil spawn?! If you choose to eat here and don't have kids bring ear plugs, ibuprofen and some sedatives to drown out the constant 1,000 decibels of squawking.

Visited Pizza Hut, Halifax recently with a friend. Place was not very busy, was shown to a table and told order would be taken shortly. 20 mins later after 2 requests to give an order we finally ordered 2 pizzas and 2 portions of chips and a bottle of wine. 5 mins later came back with news they didn't have the wine we ordered and to choose an alternative. shortly afterwards 2 pizzas arrived in there pans, no plates were offered, no portions of chips either. after apologising 2 plates arrived, 5 mins later chips arrived but only 1 portion. Food was actually okay, we finished our meal and drink and asked for our bill, this arrived to our table and on inspection found 2 extra drinks we didn't have were included. when queried this was corrected.Overall conclusion: Food reasonably good, service absolutely horrendous

We ordered a takeaway from this restaurant online. When I stood at the take-away booth I was ingnored by several members of staff who glanced over then carried on with their conversations together or started on another task. When I got home (only 10 mins drive), our order was barely warm and both pizzas were undercooked. One pizza so much so that it had to be put back in the oven when we got home to finish cooking! I believe that this is poor quality when our pizzas cost just under £10 each! Shall not be using this restaurant for take-away again! The one in the centre of town seems much better.

We went here over the Christmas holidays very good value for the dinner time buffet had to wait 15mins for a table which wasn't too bad, good service from staff not trying to hurry you so they can get more people in.

Went and had a meal with my two sons, the man who served us was very friendly and provided a good service.However the quality of the food was poor and very much over priced!!!Considering the restaurant is suppose to specialise in Pizza, think it needs to up its game..........

We've been a few times now with our two children and we've always found it to be of a decent standard.Seated quickly, food is always hot, reasonably priced and plentiful.Certainly no complaints from usThe staff are always happy and willing to help, no waiting or having to ask for things two or three times!

Called here as a last mintue desicion, had to wait 20mins to get a table but it was 1pm so we expected to wait. Food was OK but pizza on the buffet was empty/running low most of the time. The drinks machine always had a queue so they could do with having another one at the other side of the restaurant. The ice cream factory machine was not working 100% so the queue was quite big.Pizza that was avaliable was declicous!

I cannot find the words to describe a recent visit to Pizza Hut Halifax, so I'll just say poor, poor, poor. Save yourself a small mortgage and get a frozen pizza from Morrisons, better quality and value.

This place is a bit hit & miss sometimes good food & good service other times terrible food and poor service. Be firm with what you want from the point of entry.

Popped here with my family for lunch, can't fault the buffet lunch for the price. Plenty to eat and drink and very quick service

Pizza Hut halifax is by far one of the best branches of Pizza Hut. The service is so speedy and the staff are always so positive and helpful. The pizza is of course always tasty and the salad bar lovely. I can't really say a bad word about this place. Everyone working there deserves to be thanked :)

Meals came quickly. Love how attentive the staff is to children. Not just mine but all children. I like to bring my children just for dessert. I find it is a bit overpriced for fast food. Could do with more kids eat free options to help keep price down.

It is cheap & the kids love the self serve drinks counter with fruit fusion shots. My son who's a fussy eater loved the novelty of picking his own salad. For an adult however the salad bar choice was quite basic, obviously a result of it now being free, I was put off by the amount of hair in some of the salad choices.

Understaffed, inattentive staff members that completely forgot about us, barely any toppings on pizzas, waited over half an hour for someone to take our dessert order then another long wait to receive order. Really unsatisfied.

Will never eat another pizza hut pizza again, if this was anything to go by! Ordered our meal, took nearly an hour before it came, when it arrived there was hardly any toppings on, couldn't see any cheese! sent it straight back. Didn't pay for our salad & walked out. The staff weren't very helpful either, in fact they thought it was funny. Well guess what, people like me pay your wages, so watch out!!!!

Upon arrival we were greeted cheerily by two servers and after about a minutes wait were shown to a table there were 5 of us celebrating our sons 20th birthday at his request.The bench seating was probably one of the poorest designed seat in the history of mankind the seat portion must have only been 10 inches deep which aggravated my back injury even now the next day it is still sore. We ordered our starters and yet again my choice had sold out! so I settled for the Crispy Chicken Bites with barbecue sauce. The rest of the party had the garlic bread some with bacon bits some without. I started on my Crispy Chicken Bites and to be quite honest they were awful the so called crispy coating went all claggy in my mouth and I could just not eat them at all. I complained and rather brusquely they were snatched away and i was told they would be removed from my bill. The others enjoyed their garlic bread but must say the helping of mozzarella cheese was very sparing on some slices.The Pizza's we ordered arrived and were magnificent indeed well filled/covered and properly cooked unfortunately I had decided not to have Pizza but ordered the Salmon pasta bake, well what a disappointment this was the total amount of salmon which appeared to have been out of a tin was less than two teaspoons, there was a total lack of cheese and when I asked for some Parmesan to sprinkle over it to give this very bland dish some sort of flavour was told they don't offer Parmesan any more! only chili flakes. For just over £72.00 I have had better value and have written to Pizza Hut about my experience. On balance if you want just Pizza then go by all means the Pizzas were excellent but avoid other items on the menu as they do not live up to their descriptions at all.

Today Pizza Hut was very busy with families out in Easter holidays. The staff seem to thrive on being busy though and were cheerful with customers and each other. They made our visit great rather than ordinary . Buffet was good too!

Our waiter was so lovely, it was nice & quiet when we went in, the food was amazing except the chips which were undercooked but we weren't too bothered. The free salad bar is quality. Our waiter unfortunately finished and went home before we could tip him.

Visited this evening at 6.15 pm with family for a quick meal solution. The restaurant was full. Clearly they had not expected this judging by the number of waiting staff they had on duty. Surley they must have realised it is half term week and should have drafted in extra staff to a normal Tuesday night. We ordered our food only to be advised 20 mins. later that they had run out of large Italian base and they would make 4 single pizzas instead. Due to the staff shortage the salad bar was not filled and was very untidy. Usually they have a dedicated person replenishing the salad and keeping it clean and tidy. We made a complaint and eventually it was filled. The Pizzas arrived but as individual size there was no room on the table for the boards and plates. We paid using our two for one voucher so no complaint about the value for money at just over £20 for the 4 of us however we left feeling very sorry for the few staff on duty doing their very best with what seemed little support . We will be back again in a few weeks with our next two for one voucher.
