Pizza Hut in Wakefield

In nearly all the other restaurants around Junction 32 & Xscape the service levels have gone really down hill. Here is very different with friendly, happy and very helpful staff. Really makes a difference and makes you want to go back. Food was great too.

The deals make it really good value for money. Love the food, the pizza is so good. The staff were friendly, gave the place a good vibe, you know you're going to be treated well here. Definitely going again!

Best place to sit after walking around on j32 shopping and have quick bite ...

If Shannon L isn't running this place soon, she should be, she could. Her customer service is some of the best I have experienced, she is helpful, informative, friendly, not intrusive whilst being incredibly attentive. She sorted us a great deal based on what we wanted and saved me an applie pie cookie as they were limited stock due to popularity and it was so worth it!!! She even stayed and chatted to my dad who can talk the ears of a donkey, and she was absolutely lovely about it too!

My wife and I dropped in for dinner as the drive back to home in all the heavy rain was a chance to get a bit of relief from driving. We had a vegan and a ham and mushroom pan pizzas. They were both really well cooked and had a good depth of toppings. Very happy with the food. Service was excellent and ended up having a great chat with the staff about food, life music and gigs. We stayed an extra hour because of this and discussed many things with roasted garlic being a must try!.... lol. You had to be there!!.. 😉 Next time will be back and include our son when he's home from Uni life. Great place, food good and staff really polite and engaging. Thanks guys.

As a family we have been many times to this Pizza Hut. Always a good experience. We tend to go mid afternoon so avoiding any busy periods. The staff are always nice, the food is good. Usually some kind of deal on otherwise it can work out expensive.

I have been in today and the pizza I ordered was cooked really well. However, I had absolutely amazing customer service from a man named Charlie who advised me and worked efficiently . Charlie made me feel very welcome where I haven't been felt made welcome at all from the Wakefield pizza hut. Charlie has changed my perspective on these pizza chains for sure. I will definitely be coming back to see the lovely staff, nice food and not to forget, the good deals you can find on the menu. Thanks guys.

We came on a Wednesday dinner time and the 2 front of house staff were so friendly, pizzas were hot and fresh too 😁

Highly recommend, and would like to thank lynne and Stephanie who work there for going all out to ensure my children (with ads and adhd) had a fantastic dining experience. Seated quickly in a quiet area , checked on many times to ensure if we needed any thing at all which was so very kind. The food was amazing and a personal thank you to the pizza chefs for making a special pizza ( garlic mushroom and extra cheesy 🧀) as its our favourite (for our fussy eaters ) it was one of the best dining experience I could of asked for and will most definitely be going many more times ,

initially supposed to come between 16:35-16:50 and actually came at 17:52. Courier dropped my bottle of Pepsi on the floor and the food was cold when arrived.

Worst pizza we've ever had burnt, hardly any tomatoe base sauce so was extremely dry and to top it off came cold waste of 40 quid

Fantastic customer service from manager Shannon for our collection today. We wanted to pay by gift card and struggled to do this online. The deal we wanted was online only but she honoured it when we rang to place our order. The food was excellent value for money, was fresh and delicious. Would definitely order from Pizza Hut Castleford again.

Amazing service today, came in and was greeted at the door by who I’m guessing was the manager on shift. Took is to our table and helped us order as the website wasn’t working on our phones. Food came out in a timely manner and was delicious, salad bar was fresh and the desserts also came out very quickly too. Thanks guys !

Disappointed with Pizzas, both pizzas were all over on the box, the pizza triangle holders did not keep them together. I understand a thin pizza is thin but how thin they actually are is tad ridiculous. Barely no cheese or sauce base on cheese pizza, no bbq sauce on bbq pizza or if there was there wasn't much. Chicken bites were cold. When you spend £40 on two pizzas and a side you expect better.

Service - When we walked through the door the lady didn’t even say hello, she just straight away told us that we needed to come back in 30 minutes until the walk ins were available when we had a booking already and that question wasn’t even asked. The food and drinks were appropriately 10 minutes until it arrived at our table which was brilliant. Food: Salad bar - The salad bar was filthy, food, crumbs stains and cross contamination between the foods which went unnoticed from the staff team. Starter - The starter was delivered the same time as the main and the food really wasn’t up to standard. They sold this meal as the Cheesy garlic bites with bacon, and it was a big stuck together ball of garlicky dough. Main - The pizza was overly greasy to the point that it was dripping off the food and onto the plate, I really was not satisfied.

We came in as a family of 5 for a birthday. We ordered 5 sides and 4 pizzas. The restaurant had about 20 people inside. The service was very slow, although there were a lot of staff. After ordering we were offered the salad bar, however it was about 20 mins later we were given our glasses for the drinks refill machine. The first pizza came quick, then there was about 5 mins between the next pizza coming out and a further 10mins for the last two. One side came with the last pizza, two more came 10 mins later, and the last two came after we had all finished eating the pizzas. For a restaurant meal we would all like to eat together. It seems the restaurant prioritise the delivery drivers over seated customers. The delivery drivers also love to park all over the place and block the disabled parking. We will not be going back, which is a shame as the Pizzas are excellent.

Great food as always, staff were super friendly. Bit disappointed the individual meal is priced at £19.99 but you can't actually get one for that price as it's £1 extra for any base so a little bit of false advertising there.

All you can eat buffet however had to wait for pizza's to be cooked salad bar needed topping up. Drinks machine had to be topped up with soda and staff were told on a few occasions about it but this did get resolved eventually.

Daniel A served me as I ordered a takeout, he was really friendly and helpful as he suggested a deal that suited our needs and even saved us some money. He was really great and the food was made really quickly. I even got the door held open for me as I went out to the car with our pizzas. Really fantastic experience!!

Trusty Pizza Hut buffet. Good value and the staff were great. Very engaging and chatting about your day, had a discussion about the Leeds match, predicting 2-2 draw and penalties.

The afternoon buffet was lovely. Good to enjoy the salad bar selection alongside a wide selection of pizza per slice. The front of staff service were polite, friendly and helpful. Thankyou for making it a relaxing and good lunchtime dining experience for me and my daughter. Will definitely return.

Never collected from Restaurant and never delivered! App updates saying Courier at Restaurant when wasn’t and had to be order remade and collected ourselves!

Standard pizza hut fayre. Service was friendly but the old place is looking a bit frayed around the edges these days...

Tell you the size of pizza, then it came 37% smaller, and too expensive, £15.99 for small or £28.99 for sharing, and that's takeaway price. You can get 2 good steak meals in a restaurant for that money, lets be honest, its only bread with a few vegetables and grated cheese👎

£25 for a 13” cheese pizza! What day light robbery! Not been here in a very long time and the kids fancied pizza but no way would I come back Pizza Hut ever again what a rip off! Don’t mind paying for good food but it’s not exactly a Michelin pizza it’s just cheese!

Tall Irish worker was very chatty and attentive. Great value for money on the £10 buffet managed 20+ slices between 2 of us can’t complain. Lovely woman with dark hair came and checked on us (said on the receipt lynn so I am assuming that is her name). Yummy would recommend the buffet

Just not the same as before covid. You still have to order with an app. The salad bar has no variety. Went for the buffet and spent more time queueing because the pizzas were not being made quick enough to supply the demand.

Expected more from Pizza Hut but felt very let down service was good but food not so, salad bar not great and very noisy with kids won’t be going again which is a shame as I used to love their pizzas.

Had the buffet around midday. Selection of pizzas was dire and tasteless, food was cold also. Salad bar looked pathetic with ridiculous looking plastic bowls that toddlers use. I can't believe this place is still going. The only decent part of the experience were the staff who were friendly and helpful. I will never eat at pizza hut again. Total rip off.

I ordered share for four+ and share for one+ today and I have never been so disappointed in my life. I paid over £50, the pizza came cold. I chose a thin dough, but I didn't think that the ingredients would be put on a thin dough in such a way that it would fall down when lifted. very little cheese. I felt like I was eating only dough... the chips were ok, but the garlic bread was cold and unbaked. I do not recommend.

the food was well cooked although the chicken bites were very dry , the pizzas seamed to be well covered but such a hefty price for 9" pizzas the only reason we still buy from here is the fact the wife has coeliac disease if other pizza shops could offer these we'd never return 😔

The pizza was clap cold and the pizza base didn’t taste fresh as it was as stiff as cardboard. If you told me this pizza was prepared yesterday, I’d believe you.

Expensive for pizza and zero thrills, better slice of pizza can easily found at half the price.

Pizza was clap cold when received, an absolute waste of my money, was obviously cooked and left way before driver turned up to collect. Feel really disappointed and let down.

All staff attentive, friendly and helpful. We were served by Danny, Lucy and Lynne Danny ensured we got a free side that the online app hadn’t added and offered us a free pizza which he said would’ve gone to waste. He was able to recommend the most popular sides and made sure we got our moneys worth! He explained how they read through comments on these feedback forms as they always want to improve customer experience which was lovely to hear. Thank you to all staff for a lovely meal :)

Food was lovely and service was excellent, just haven't used a Pizza Hut for a few years and nearly died at the prices. I do understand overheads have gone up but sadly it puts it out of our normal price range.

The fries and chicken were freezing the pizza was Luke warm not good the only pleasent part of this order was the delivery driver who was friendly. Do not think we will be ordering from here again. Waste of money.

Took my son for the buffet which was a little expensive but we had unlimited food which changed quite often based on what the chef is doing. Only downside is the ice cream section which was quite dirty and had limited sauces. Chinese buffet has much better options.

Service was good 👍. But food was not nice. Heated up in microwave so came out baking hot soon cold. Subsequently was tough and tastless..

Pizza was great, although we added the extra cheese, which our waitress suggested, glad I did because there wasn't that much on it. The salad was great. Only had soft drinks, although not all the flavours were working. The only reason I marked this place down was because it only accepted cards. No cash, which I think is very poor, and quite frankly is unacceptable. This is the reason I will not use them again.

Food was excellent, but had to scan a QR code to get the website, where I then placed my order. Everything fine, except on payment I was then asked if I wanted to tip the person taking the order? Wait, I took the order!!! Apart from being taken to the table, the staff did nothing other than ask if everything was ok. At no point did anyone tell us about the salad bar or where the drinks were dispensed.

It's a pizza hut. This one in castleford, near xscape. Nothing wrong with it and service was good for a Monday night. If your visiting xscape and want pizza you may as well go to pizza express. But if you want pizza hut it's a short drive.

Total rip off. Wanted to use my blue light card, but was told it would be cheaper getting a deal. Was told it would be 75.00 got to the till to pay and it had shot up to just short of 90.00.. a different server that had said the 1st total was no where to be seen, te server wanting to charge the new amount stood repeating.. youve had the food you have to pay for it. I asked for the manager who tried arguing the toss, the original server then appeared and stated she had forgotten to put something on the original bill so it was now more. So then 2 servers and the manager tried saying I had to pay the new amount, because the original server had forgotten to put the full order on the bill at the time of the order being made. Needless to say I paid the original price and they didn't get to pocket whatever it was they'd supposedly forgotten to charge us for.. The Food was ok ish, no cheese in the stuffed crusts, the salad bar was half empty and the condiments looked ancient.. Verdict...= TOTAL RIP OFF

I had the lunchtime buffet, service of bringing more pizzas out was very slow compared to how it was previously and the pizzas were quite greasy.

Salad was the main issue. New stuff was just put on top of the old that had turned black for the lettuce or soft and mushy like the tomatoes. Is it not common sense to replace the food with the new container and put the older food on top, removing anything that looks off? Makes you wonder what other short cuts are taken.

Driver not given half of the food appalling

One of our pizzas was ok. The other was just a soggy mess that all the topping fell off. After complaining was told it's because the base is thin. Ironically the good pizza was a thin and crispy and was fine so the justification for the sloppy mess didn't make sense. Staff were helpful enough and didn't charge us for the rubbish pizza but for £20 we expect the pizza to be decent and edible as a slice. Toilets were not nice either. Not a great experience.

We just ordered the all you can eat Buffet. It's basic pizza dough with basic toppings, but lots of it. Both thin crust and deep pan offered, but it depends what is out of the oven when you go up to get some. The salad bar is a nice touch, it also offers a good selection of sauces for the pizza crusts. The place is Cashless, and despite there being 3 or 4 waitresses working, we were told we had to order everything online through a QR Code. Took me quite a while to connect and sign up, was very frustrating when it would have been so much easier to just give our order to a server!

Really wish I could rate this place higher but it’s so hit and miss! Sometimes good, but alot bad especially with collection orders (either myself or Uber eat) it’s like they don’t care with outside orders so anything goes, very little cheese added to pizzas even when you pay extra for the mixed cheese, visually look comparable to those £1.99 Chicago town deep pizza. My partner used to be manager here a long while back and she said it’s gone down hill - we have visited for buffet and enjoyed that so you are capable of making edible pizzas, just never do for collection orders?
