Pizza Hut in Norwich

We arrived before the Norwich game, didn't use the code chose waitress service. We ordered the regular original base chicken pizza, hot wings plus we had an unlimited bowl of salad, two soft drinks, one which was unlimited. A great Cappuccino and a hot chocolate cookie dough/icecream. Total £33 Three great members of staff (11/02/25)

waiting 10 minutes to get seated, when it wasn't busy looked like only 1 lady working. Long wait on soft drinks as machine was being fixed in end had to ask at the bar itself. Also had to wait for more pizza to be put out for buffet as first time we went up there wasn't enough.

Worst time in Pizza Hut we’ve ever had. Servers were rude and making comments about customers and pushing/punching eachother (playfully) on the restaurant. Said thank you twice as went to walk out and was point blank ignored. Honestly rude

In the 20+ years of visiting Pizza Hut, it’s always been a great place to take my kids, and now my grandchildren. But today was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. The service from staff was almost non existent. They seemed more interested in talking to each other and messing around than serving customers. I witnessed them turning a family away, stating they were full. But there were multiple uncleared tables. They were making rude comments about previous customers, and were plain rude when we attempted to thank them as we left. Such a shame it’s gone so downhill as we often visit here when bowling or going to the cinema.

We had a large party, and Dawn was amazing with children in our party. We had an outstanding service,Dawn was friendly and efficient, nothing not to much touble.We would go there again.

We had some really good food the other evening here and our server Tracey D was very helpful and made sure we got a good deal. Will definitely be going back when we are up from Essex again.

Wonderful staff fantastic food everytime

Staff so unhappy and a rude too. Swearing took place too from the employee and both didn’t carry a smile once. Didn’t check in our table. And we’re talking amongst themselves about when they are leaving and wanting the customers to hurry up so they can leave. Desserts came out cold which were stated warm on the menu and when taking back, which had to ourselves, were given a dirty look as if to say what do you want me to do about it. The whole attitude was lazy and out of order. Not sure why when customer service should be welcoming and not slandering paying customers and shamming them for paying and eating food. All round not a great experience. Especially when the employee said they don’t care too. Out of order. Even had to get our own takeaway boxes too which I have to add.

Restaurant was dirty (seats, salad bowls), staff seemed unhappy, pizza was dripping with oil.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent salad chice to supplement Pizza. Very good choice and options available.

An astronomical price for a tiny pizza

Really lovely lunch at the Buffet - still a little overpriced but our little one had a great time and loves the ice cream factory and actrivity sheets!

The price, the atmosphere, freshness of the food, it was all just so good.

Booked as a birthday meal for my daughter Website awful and glitchy double booked Then phoned and they said I had no table They rebooked and on day then phone me to say I have two tables When arriving we were told card only order by QR we asked for someone to take order no one arrived Paid and it came to 90 pounds for 3 kids 2 adults. To be honest we could have just lied and paid for one as no one came to speak to us check before we went up and helped ourselves to food. Food was terrible and bowls unclean

Pizza looked like it was made by Stevie Wonder, looked like someone had just got the worst of everything they could find slapped it on a wet soggy pizza. Ignored by staff, wouldn't bother going again.

I paid for a sharing pizza and it was tiny, cold and very little toppings. Would not recommend. Very disappointed

We loved the ‘kids eat free’ for the half term. As there were two different families the mobile ordering service made it much easier than sorting a bill.

Horrible service...the server was so rude and racist and all she said to my dad was "just takeaway or leave" how dare she?? I AM NEVER EVER GOING BACK TO THE PIZZAHUT NORWICH RIVERSIDE RETAIL PARK. WHO EVER SHE WAS NEEDS TO LEARN HOW TO TALK BEFORE COMING TO THIS KIND OF PROFESSION.

Went on a Friday evening at 8.45 & were told they weren't doing eat-in service after 8 30 even though they don't close until 10. Flabbergasted to be honest. They'll be wondering why the place will have to close for good!!

Cold, thing’s missing from order

Pop in this evening for a quick bite to eat there where 2 lads on shift this evening really chatty and made us feel well welcome and interacted with the young girl who was with us about football, nothing was 2 Much trouble at all

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The price really does match the quality well. I'll definitely come back soon. Unfortunately I didn't stay long and took desert to do as me and my husband had to be somewhere. I'll make sure to pace myself and enjoy it alot more next time. ABSOLUTELY smashed it!

Nice food and quick delivery, however, two of the items were missing from the order.

The all-in lunch buffet was Good value. Small wait for pizzas but when they arrived they were labelled and hot. Salad bar was topped up promptly. Good for families.

Could not sit in a nice seat where we would of liked as a family and we did book but the tables was to far for the staff to walk The salad was swarmed with loads and loads of vinegar flys The staff did change this but used the same spoons and dishes The table was unleavened which then nipped my daughters arm The ladies loo had amount of blood This was a very unpleasant experience never again 4 flat bread the base very soggie We love Pizza Hut as a family but this branch was a big disgusting disappointment.

Meal was quick they were very accommodating for our needs , the only thing is that we had to wait along time for our dessert but the waiter Alfred was very apologetic and friendly very nice man !

My family went here for my brothers 9th birthday the food was amazing but one of the staff seemed a bit rude and grumpy ny dad accidentally missed of a pizza told the staff that they forgot a pizza this blonde lady then printed of the receipt to say we didn't order another one which we did Acknowledge and asked for another one which another server kindly got for us but all throughout our stay she was just glaring at everyone with a frown on her face, I work at a fast food place I know its not the best but at least try to smile for the customers

Staff were arguing, some were complaining about the mess then not doing anything about it, no one came over to check on our meal so I had to ask for desserts and then found out they hadn't even given us the right cutlery. Bathroom has vomit all over a urinal and the staff member I informed was rude about it. Would not recommend this restaurant, only saving grace, was the food was good

Servers were nice and the food was delicious (as always with Pizza Hut) however the cleanliness of the place did provide a small problem. We’ve visited numerous times before, however this time round the floor was sticky (along the entire restaurant) and covered in food, the tables were not wiped down properly, and the seats were sticky and also had food on them. No hate to the staff, I’m sure they are understaffed as it is, it just made the experience less enjoyable

Got 2 pizzas and garlic bread as a delivery as a treat for helping a family member with moving. It took about 50 minutes for the food to be delivered when they live at the flats about 5 minutes away. When the food arrived it was barely hot and the garlic bread was cold, the pizza was quite dry as if it had been sat on the side for ages and not much cheese or sauce either. I love a Pizza Hut from longwater though always good there!

Stopped in while I was walking around waiting for a job interview in the city. This place is perfect. They have Pan pizza so if anyone from the US is looking for good Pizza look no further.

Absolutely horrendous. Will defiantly NOT be coming back. Pizza and pasta all stone cold, ask for some fresh pasta to be put out and it was dumped on top of the cold hard pasta that has been sitting there and mixed in together. Over priced. Only nice thing was the stuff

Of course it's a corporate standard place so you expect standardisation. I can say the welcome was brilliant but ok. Once again the order at the table app on my android phone did not work, my wife's apple one did. Drinks glasses were delivered quickly. It was midday and the variety of pizza at the buffet was limited. This improved as time went on. To keep us all healthy, joke, no 'full fat' cola and Pepsi not coke, obviously because coke costs more. As for the ice-cream, the chocolate sauce bottle was empty. The stairs to the toilets have been cleaned with the wrong cleaner so you sort of stick to the treads as you walk. Disabled toilets are available downstairs Overall, nothing outstanding and a lot could be done by attending to detail. I struggle to give 4 stars but 3 would be mean.

Ross from the Norwich Riverside restaurant is so funny and really made our dining experience memorable. The best server there by far 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Upon entering the restaurant I was met with a very warm welcome. I was quickly directed to my seat, My order was taken and before I knew it.I was eating my food. Doreen was our server, infact Doreen was like wonderwoman. Doreen absolutely smashed it in every department, the whole team are an absolute credit to Pizza Hut. Staff members are most interested in talking among themselves about their personal life in a group (very very loudly) than providing a service. I think they need front of house training. The food also was rubbish and not worth the money.

Service with a smile. 32 of us arrived for the buffet. Great service, atmosphere and food was divine. Nothing was too much trouble even when we were awkward. Thank you for making our visit an enjoyable happy occasion

Chose to visit the restaurant Monday lunch time for buffet before cinema and was a great visit. Staff friendly. Buffet was well stocked at all times and everything looked and tasted great.

It's a pizza hut. You get what you expect really. I really wish pizza hut would put sneeze guards on the salad bar though... The times I've seen kids cough and sneeze over the food

Took my two grandchildren here for a special occasion. The staff were excellent but the atmosphere was cold, uninviting and austere. The food when delivered was, quite frankly awful. The pizzas were poor and the chips were under-cooked and hard. If it wasn’t for the politeness of the staff, I would have been hard pushed to give this restaurant any rating whatsoever. To be honest, it was not worth complaining to staff who seemed too busy looking after a larger party so we left without further comment. I will not try this place or Pizza Hut again.

Dragged there by grand children. Never again! Staff are great. Restaurant is messy and the food is mediocre. Chip were under cooked.

The pizza is great and a friendly service 👍🏼.The only thing that really concerns me is that they are using "cashless" and it's not necessary and people need to be able to use cash to pay.The cashless store or restaurant trend is not my future where I want things to go ,I wish to have the option as a paying customer to pay cash .

The pizzas you order are always top quality; tasty and good crust thickness. Great to have free salad. Staff are always friendly. The buffet deal is okay but the pizza quality suffers a little. However, it is still good value for money. So would still recommend.

Pretty good, the bases on two of the pizzas were wrong though (switched with each other) but apart from that it was good, tasted great. Delivery took about 30 mins longer than initially stated - after ordering it kept getting later. Was busy time of day though.

I literally don’t understand their seating policy here. Number of times I’ve been turned away by…an empty restaurant. Managed to sit in once. Pizza veeery slow to arrive (45 minutes) - meanwhile, only two tables occupied and over 8 people turned away at the door because there …isn’t room? It would make sense if there was one area cordoned off, or there were reservations, or only one server, but there were at least 2 staff on the floor and the energy in that place was low. As we were sitting in the restaurant we overhead that people coming in were asked if they had bookings and if not, turned away (as they gaped at the literally empty restaurant). Did anyone turn up with a reservation in the 2 hrs 15 minutes we were there, you might ask? No, they did not. I cannot make sense of the policy here, and find it frustrating not knowing if I’ll be randomly turned away at the door or not or not. How on earth they can afford to stay open, I don’t know. Walk-ins: I really would take your money elsewhere, don’t chance it with the random table lottery, go somewhere else, or get your pizza online! I won’t be back.

Since QR code ordering the customer service is really disappointing. Adults meals are really quite expensive too.

Really good service consdering how busy it was. Great pizza and pasta and the salad bar is very good. Went back today and it seems it was being managed by one person and they were still doing a great job!

Very clean restaurant, toilets clean. The salad bar was well stocked and very fresh. Pizza piping hot, loads of choice and absolutely delicious.

The food was delicious but the service was terrible, I'm afraid. They had been very busy apparently, but when we arrived ( having pre-booked) there were very few people in there. It took them almost half an hour before they came for our order, then when they brought our drinks the latte coffees were, in fact, just hot milk. They did, however replace them for free. Maybe we were just unlucky, but wouldn't return.

Such a shame that Pizza Hut gets more poor every time. Order via an app...no thanks, I'm out for a meal as may as well use Just Eat. Pizza is so small now that it's not enough for price. Atmosphere is dead. Loved this place for so long but that's it now, no more as too expensive for what you get.

Arrived on time for an 8.30pm reservation and were told "we're going to close at about half 9". Taken to our table and told to order via the app and left to it by the less than enthusiastic waiter. 5 minutes after our pizza arrived, the waiter asked if we would be having more salad, otherwise he would clear it away. He did this then noisily refilled the bowls right next to our table. He also cleared away the sweets from the ice cream factory, but then had to put them back when one of our party ordered ice cream for dessert. The rest of the desserts took over 15 minutes to arrive even though we were the only table in the restaurant. While we were waiting the waiter continued to noisily tidy around us, however didn't clear our plates away until about 15 minutes after we'd finished eating. The hot cookie dough was cold but burnt. The biggest waste of 600 calories ever. At least we had a 2 for 1 code!

The food was the best bit. The rest was quite shambolic.

Staff Rude, pizza had hair on it, was never told it is card only establishment but the manager was insistent and very rude telling us that we had been told when we first came in, which we we're not. The place was filthy to top it off. Will never be returning to Pizza Hut. Papa John's is much better.

Dissatisfied overall. Longer wait times than expected. Staff who seemed grumpy, huffing at customers and being annoyed at one another. Made a very uncomfortable experience. Lots of fruit flies around in the particular corner we were sat in. Not an enjoyable meal. There was a glass of strange fluid sat on the ledge just behind me, it was full of dead flies. Not sure if this had been put there on purpose to attract them? The food itself was good enough. But for the price you pay, it does leave much to be desired. Just over £52 for two medium sized pizzas, one small side and two drinks. There are far better establishments to eat at for far less money.

to start, one of the servers had some kind of attitude problem. she was rolling eyes and swearing after speaking to customers on the door, how lovely! food was overpriced and underwhelming. we were expecting a bit more considering a meal for two was just over £50! not only that, it also took ages to arrive at our table. pisstake. ladies toilets were absolutely horrendous. wet floor, tissues, and god knows what else all over the floor. one of the soap dispensers looks like it's been punched off the wall. overall, complete waste of time and money. should've got a domino's.

Food was great, hot and delicious. Downstairs was clean and tidy but the upstairs womens bathroom hadn't been cleaned regularly. Other than that enjoyed my time here and was greeted at the door by a lovely waitress, Amber, who complimented my outfit and bag! Thank you :)

Tried the new large new York pizza and I was s bit disappointed tbh. They only cut it into 5 slices and it was bang average.

Took my son and some of his friends, choose the buffet waited over 20 minutes for any pizza to arrive, queue of about 10 people waiting. Staff ignoring the situation rather than addressing it very poor

It was average food for a lot of money. They had no mushrooms, or onions for the pizzas . So my veggie pizza was going to be very plain so I swapped it to a margarita pizza and it will take 3 days to get my money refunded that is the diffence between the cost of the 2 pizzas. Salad bar was ok but the server was FANTASTIC

Order by app is just weird and long winded. Flights of stairs to get to toilets. Food decent enough, not a lot of fizz in the self service drinks. Maybe I'm just getting old but this type of almost self serv just isn't for me.

Pointless having a buffet with no Pizza or Pasta available, so many people were waiting to eat as soon as a pizza came out it was gone.

Our experience started off good but went downhill from there. No one came to our table to see if we were finished and wanted our desserts and we waited a good 30 mins. Had to go ask for them and still had to wait a long time for them to arrive. There appeared to be only one member of the staff that was actually doing any work as tables were being left dirty for quite some time until she came along to do them.

Firstly, they don’t show the full price on the menu, the VAT is added when you pay. Secondly, I paid £30 for what tasted like a frozen pizza and a cookie dough that was stuck to the plate so couldn’t be eaten. The food was not brought at the same time either, even though this was the option that was selected. Would have had a proper italian pizza for half of the price from the restaurant next door. The toilets are on the second floor and there was no soap - so you pay high prices for what looks like fast food/ diner place and they don’t even bother to put soap in the toilet. Will not come back.

Wow! The girls that served us 26/08/2023 was fabulous. She let us choose where to seat. She make us happy and comfortable, then when I asked for chilli oil she also offered garlic oil. The pizza was thin, made fresh, the topping delicious, so thank you so for much for the lovely stay. It does make a difference. We are very grateful. Thank you.

Chips were undercooked and floppy. My partner had a ham and mushroom pizza and tasted soapy. I had the vegetarian pizza which was ok but the base was undercooked also. All in all a waste of £50!

Had a lovely time at pizza hut today. We were served by a lovely man (I think his name was Ethan) He was very nice and the food was brought promptly 😃
