Awful. Do not go to this restaurant at all, clearly not enough staff, the restaurant was absolutely filthy. The food standard is disgusting. I will be contacting management today and escalating my complaint further as three out of four of us are now severely ill with food poisoning. Stay away from the chicken!

The Only thing good about it were the staff. Really nice and friendly. Food was not good. Pizza hut has gone down hill. !!!

Had the lunchtime buffet. Decent selection of pizzas and salad. Had the ice cream factory - which was okay but clearly no one had cleaned the syrup bottles for quite a while (very sticky). All orders by app, which asks for tip before the meal (would be better if, like Uber, they asked afterwards…). Far fewer staff than a few years ago. Toilets were quite smelly…

The Table was booked for 8 and not ready when we arrived they cleaned it and left meat sauce salt and very sticky was told sorry lots of kids in last group 😳 So not cleaned ?? Only Vegan mayonnaise available not std mayo 4 large pizza ordered and all quite brown not quite burnt and very tough dough my guess is pre made base and stored in fridge not great and when staff told of experience they just said it’s time of year Really 🤔 No passion or pride anymore used to be good food and service

Birthday treat for a 13 yr old,we had 3 adults and 3 kids and it cost over £100 code pizza!!! Place was DEAD which isn’t really a surprise,the ‘chandlier’above us was FILTHY,the salad bar was a tad empty but ok. But for the price we won’t be returning. Waitress was lovely,but the system of ordering on your own phone when there’s a group is ridiculous and NO CASH!!!!

Me and my grandparents go to this pizza hut at least once a month when we go to truro shopping. Every time the service is amazing, the staff are great and the food is amazing and comes out fast. Never had a problem

On holiday with my family thought we would pop in on our way through. We sat in a booth. We ordered starters which where bow ribs, wings and garlic bread. And for our mains we ordered 4 different pizzas. We had gone and got our salads and sat down. then quite quickly our starters came out. We Hadn't got half way through when our mains arrived. I mentioned we where still eating our starters but he still put them on our table and left. I mentioned this to the young girl who cleared our table but didn't seem to care. Think the staff need more training in customer sevice.would not recommend.

My partner and I took our daughter here as a treat for her doing well at school. We debated on whether to book a table with it being a Friday but decided to just chance it. We arrived at 6.15 it was fairly busy, unnecessary music blaring outside far too loud. Once inside music is also so loud that added with the noise from other people chatting it makes it near on impossible to engage in conversation easily. Still my daughter wanted to eat here so we were shown to a table and handed menus. My daughter ordered from the children's menu which is good value for money, from the main menu we ordered a sharing pizza with two sides and desserts. The food arrived in good time, we do like the salad bar although the choice is always the same the menu itself has been updated since we last visited. My partner ordered an ice cream float to drink which arrived missing the ice cream.. refillable drink station always goes down well with our family, good variety of pop offered. The menus are taken away once you have ordered food however remembering our chosen sharer came with two desserts we sat for a while before choosing off the menu. When the waitress returned we were informed the dessert we had chosen off the menu wasn't Included in the deal.. perhaps these menus need to be on the table or handed back before a dessert order is placed? Or possibly could be ordered at the same time of ordering main meals? I felt quite stupid when the waitress told us we couldn't have something! Anyway dessert orders taken a few minutes later desserts arrive, my daughter ordered a brownie and we both had the salted caramel cookie dough only to be told that there's only one salted caramel and one chocolate one, she confusingly said I'll leave this here but there's a caramel one being done now we ran out.. I'll leave that there because I cannot for the life of me understand why the desserts were brought out if it wasn't the correct order or why someone did not come to ask if this was ok? Surely running out of something doesn't mean it magically re stocks itself?! Also the app which is made to sound wonderful is a bit of a con, almost felt obliged to download it! We won't be returning anytime soon but I hope in the future when we do return it has improved

La comida era buena, el servicio era variable. El restaurante estaba mal distribuido algunos espacios muy estrecho y muy incómodo cuando está lleno, los discapacitados sin lucha. Tratando de empujar una nueva pizza hut app, pérdida de tiempo y más para molestarme, de mejorar la experiencia. Pizza Hut debe regresar al menú antiguo y centrarse en la comida y el servicio. En resumen un buen restaurante, pero no vale la pena un viaje.

The service was shocking!!!! Our meal took 45min to arrive at the table and when it arrived the food was very small. We complained to the manager and he was very rude. I would not recommend this branch to anyone and won't be returning.

No haber estado en un Pizza Hut para las edades. Pedimos con la encantadora camarera y esperó por la pizza mientras tuvimos ensalada, que era preciosa. Luego fuimos cuesta abajo desde allí. Pizzas comprada pero no lo que pedimos! Así que hay un montón de ir hacia atrás y hacia delante con preguntarnos lo que pedimos de nuevo, parecía que el director era incluso mirando! Very nice meal, fully recommended. Great value for money, especially using vouchers. The staff are friendly, especially the lady Dawn. We were given the wrong side, but the friendly staff let us keep that side and made the right one. Strongly recommend

Buena comida de una típica pizza Hut, con personal eficiente. Sin embargo, nos sentamos en una mesa junto a la ventana, que pronto descubrimos era refugiar a un plaga de hormigas cerca de las paredes. Parece que el personal sabía sobre la infestación previamente, pero quizá no la medida.

Mi hija y yo fuimos a Pizza Hut última noche. Nos recibió una señora encantadora en la llegada. Nos enseñaron nuestros asientos. Volvimos a tomar nuestro pedido. No sé el nombre de damas, pero está muy embarazada. Ella fue muy amable con nosotros, "gracias" a aquí. Nuestra comida llegó en muy buen momento. Y fue una deliciosa pizza. Mi hija tenía una masa de galletas para pud, que también era muy sabroso!

Visitamos el 19 de abril con expectativas bastante bajas dado que visitas recientes a un par de sucursales locales de cadenas temáticas italiano han sido bastante decepcionante. Todas las expectativas de Pizza Hut eran más que superado. El buffet del almuerzo estaba muy bien equipada para el resto de la familia mientras mi pedido por una pizza vegetariana estaba preparado a la perfección, bien presentada y de hacer agua la boca: un festín para los ojos y la boca. Mientras que todo el personal era muy amable, me gustaría mencionar Dawn, que era excepcionalmente amable y profesional y Jamie el chef para mi pizza perfecta! Cumpleaños de un bien merecido 5 y mi hija era perfecta; muchas gracias y bien hecho Pizza Hut Truro!

However the whole place just felt dirty.. Three plates i picked up for the buffet had food on, 2 bowls my niece picked up for her ice cream where dirty and the jars for the sprinkles/ ice cream area was filthy.... Wouldnt return!

Al preguntar sobre lo que tuvimos a un chico que apenas trabajo y a su personal el strutting todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí, Meneando la cabeza. Literalmente mal yendo de todos modos y que es un gran problema para mí, pero para ser tratado como este cuando estoy con mi familia, para luego ser hablado de en nuestro camino hacia el hasta y nuestro camino fuera de la puerta mientras estoy con mi hija de dos años, es vergonzoso. Fuimos hoy aquí para el almuerzo y estamos muy satisfechos con el servicio que recibimos al entrar y en la mesa por la camarera. El bar de ensaladas era muy buena y fresca. Muy contento con las dos pizzas que elegimos, así que estará encantado de volver y recomendar.

group of 7 visited this restaurant in November 2016. was a bit worried we wouldn't get a table as I couldn't book in advance but they managed to fit us in. staff were really friendly. good selection on the kids menu and unlimited salad. kids loved the ice cream factory. they ran out of garlic bread but apart from that all good

Llegamos como una familia para la cena como niños como el autoservicio bits como ensalada, bebidas y helados. Tenía una espera de 5 minutos por mesa, por desgracia, nos sentamos en el bar de ensaladas no recargarla cuando fuimos y estoy limitado en lo que puede ser sin gluten. Pedimos nuestras comidas y tenía un buen plato de costillas a la barbacoa, tengo que decir que la camarera era servicial como hizo para comprobar si podía comer. Esperamos bastante para nuestro principal que luego salió un poco fría, pero no nos quejamos porque estaban ocupados. Me encanta el costo de pizza hut con los niños pero como terminamos nos sentimos la camarera nos apresurarnos por que venía con la factura de pago y luego volver mientras todavía había alguien comiendo. Si no fuera por que nos han arrojado. No estoy seguro si me volvería otra vez, pero pueden haber sido tan ocupados que los estándares se resbaló un poco. . .

Primera vez que visito este Pizza Hut y la última. Camarera no parece interesado en mí, mi pareja o hija. Nuestro vidrio bebidas había un chip, dijo la camarera y ella dijo ah y caminamos con el vidrio. Nuestra cena fue comprada por otro camarero, entonces esperamos de 5 a 10 minutos para nuestro chips que también eran adquiridos por el camarero no la original camarera. Y luego nos aclararon los platos estaban ordenados y pudines llegó con bastante rapidez. Nunca llegamos a comida registró durante la cena, no nos ofrecieron una bebida caliente ni la factura.

We visit here often and the standards are always high. Even when busy the staff are attentive, efficient and friendly. Love this place.

Después de un ajetreado día decidimos tomar una pizza para un cambio. El restaurante estaba muy lleno, pero rápidamente nos sentamos. El personal es amable y rápido servicio es siempre un buen comienzo. La comida estaba bien preparada y era, como es de esperar en un restaurante de la cadena.

He estado en esta sucursal de Pizza Hut en muchas ocasiones a lo largo de los años y siempre hemos sido felices con la comida y el servicio. Mi viaje más reciente fue el miércoles 31 de agosto. Llegué con mi padre justo después de la apertura, así sobre las 11.45. Nos sentamos rápido y nos dijeron que una camarera (no recuerdo su nombre) sería tomar nuestros pedidos. El lugar estaba relativamente lleno con unos 6/7 mesas ocupadas directamente después de la apertura. Esperamos un buen 10 minutos antes de la camarera vino a tomar nuestro pedido. El chico que nos estaba sentado no se visto y no estaba seguro de por qué no podía haber llevado a nuestros pedidos al menos bebidas?

Estábamos local durante una semana y decidimos venir aquí para el almuerzo en un día húmedo. El servicio era bueno, el camarero era genial - tenía un buffet caliente y pizzas estaban siempre caliente. Los niños disfrutaron de su comida, que estaba caliente. Budín era increíble - masa de galleta caliente. en general satisfechos.

Ocasionalmente visita Pizza Hut para alegría de placer bajo, arrugó. Todos parecen haber tenido un lavado de cara y mejoras en el servicio al cliente en los últimos años, pero esta era la excepción en el servicio.

We it was nice pizza the salad bar was good and everywhere was clean. The staff were good but for some reason the visit was just good. Free wifi easy parking. Toilets were clean. Theres a really good free ice and water dispenser.

No soy un fan de la cadena articulaciones de pizza así que tienden a evitar y de hecho sólo ha habido ?dos veces de Pizza Hut Truro pronto después de que se abrió y me pareció nada especial por eso nunca volví tan reciente en los consejos que lo intenté. ¡Me sorprendió muy gratamente. El personal era amable y claramente sabía cómo funciona el lugar y para ofrecer un servicio de atención al cliente con una sonrisa. Fueron muy serviciales con orientación precisa de un extenso menú. La comida que parece mucho mejor ahora que antes, pizza;s estaban calientes y fresco y fácilmente ponen en la mesa (visitas anteriores vimos sentado en el pase por lo que nos sentimos como horas). Curiosamente los precios parecen haber bajado (quizás sea mi memoria si no se hiciera eso). Sin duda volveremos. Pizza Hut Truro felicidades.

Es un bonito lugar para comer en pero creo la ensalada es un poco decepcionante hundir la ensalada parece que son poco prueba que por qué no Don;t comer allí nada más pero todo el personal es muy agradable para mí todo el tiempo

Me and 9 others went to Pizza Hut to celebrate a birthday. We were shown to a table, where we were then constantly watched by the staff. When the waiter took our drink order where only four people decided to have one, they kept reminding us that, if we were caught sharing drinks then the other person would also have to be charged for the same drink. After being watched constantly whilst eating, paying time came and the waiters couldn't do simple maths, so in the end I was short changed. Overall I felt I was being disciminated because me and the others were younger than everyone else, however we were full paying customers so we shouldnt have been treated any differently.

Really pleased xxx Called in with husband, daughter & grand daughters for an impromptu dinner. Not sure what to expect but it was busy and all the staff were helpful and lovely. The food was delicious, love the salad bar.......

Large group of us came for lunch, two people out of the group of around 30 weren't eating and were asked to leave, when questioned, merely told it was the managers request- what would they do, put 2 random strangers on our table. The whole time we were in there, the group of lazy waiters and waitresses just stood watching us and staring the whole time and repeatedly came over to rudely 'remind' us that sharing isn't permitted. Anyone in the under 20 age bracket seems to be treated like a thieving little child and is given no respect and is starred at and made to feel as uncomfortable as possible until they leave, totally ruined the atmosphere, other tables of families also noticed the way they acted towards not only us, but all other groups of under 20 year olds. When spending as much as our group did, a little respect and common courtesy would've been much appreciated.

This branch of Pizza Hut has vastly improved over the years. The food tastes better and the staff are happier and friendlier than before. A big turn around.

We love it here and always seen to get good pizza. The buffet is good and now there is a drinks machine you help yourself to there isn't much need for waiters!

Cada vez que me dan los correos electrónicos a través de pizza Hut, y yo siempre busca la oferta 6 libras de comida ya que tienes una pizza, bebidas ilimitadas, entrantes y ensaladas. Es una fantástica oferta, especialmente si su familia comer fuera! El único inconveniente para mí es que el personal te hace sentir como si es una oferta que no le gusta dar demasiado fácilmente. En mi última visita se levantaron sobre mí, ya que me daba mi teléfono para el código voucher me sentí como un cheapskate frente a otros comensales! Aparte de eso, la comida era buenísima.

Treated my niece to dinner but we both agreed it was a big disappointment. One of my garlic breads was covered in green slush and the waitress said "the garlic overflowed on this one, but it's okay"... obviously I didn't eat this slice but there was no apology or offer to make a fresh one or deduct it from the bill.

Myself and a few friends went for lunch at Pizza Hut , as soon as we entered one of our members told the waitress only 4 out of 5 of us would be eating , once we all got our salad bowls the friend that wasn't eating ate 1 tortilla chip , the waitress immediately came over and said if your going to eat that tortilla your going to have to pay for a meal, this is absolutely ridiculous, why is it wrong for my friend to eat a tortilla from the salad bowl which comes free with any meal when a person who has bought a meal decides to give her his free salad bowl , she wast planning on topping it up or even eating it all she was offered as the person who bought the meal didn't want the tortillas in the bowl ! I'm absolutely appalled by this and to add to such a terrible experience I felt uncomfortable the whole meal as the two waitresses were stood less that 5 metres from the table and watched is the whole time ! WE WILL NOT BE COMMING BACK !

I when on Wednesday the 22/4/15with my PA / Support work and very under cleaning in side pizza hut restaurant was not up to stand and the pizza was very cold to eat also some of the staff were not very nice to me I will never come any more time

My teen daughter and I went to Pizza Hut in Truro for our evening meal. We booked our table for 6 pm although the place was really quiet when we got there. Despite getting there 15 minutes early, we were seated straight away and the waitress asked if the table was alright for us - which it was. We had just the right amount of time to peruse the menu and she took our order. I had the 500 cal Chicken Delight pizza but didn't want the onions and mushrooms and could swap these for 2 toppings of pineapple. My daughter had the pan crust Hawaiian Pizza with an extra topping of chicken. We were invited to help ourselves to the salad bar which we did before our pizzas arrived. This was stacked full of every kind of salad ingredient you can imagine..... and then some. These are unlimited so we could return to the salad bar as often as we liked. My daughter had the apple juice to drink and I had a Pepsi Max. The fizzy drinks are unlimited and so I could help myself to refills at the drinks station. On this occasion we didn't have any desserts. The salad ingredients were fresh, plentiful and tasted delicious and our pizzas were perfect too. For the quality of the food, the price £22 was extremely good value for our meal. All in all a very positive experience and will be doing this again.

Went to pizza hut for lunch today, when asked if i would like to sit anywhere in particular i said over there to be told i had to sit somewhere else (although the table i pointed at wasnt reserved), Ok no problem i dont mind sitting anywhere but dont give me the choice in the 1st place!! Then when the staff came to take our order they were rude and didn't appear to be able to smile! We had the buffet which was ok but i certainly would have been better off spending my money elsewhere. If it wasnt for the children i would have left before ordering from such a rude person. Even the family on the table next to us commented on how rude the waitress was to both us and there family.j

arrived at pizza hut as in a rush and it turns out to take soo long for the food to come out and so unfriendly staff. food turns out as we would expected it. i would not recommend this restuarant unless you want bad staff and a long wait. as all pizza huts , its just pizza so overpriced.

Didn't get to eat anything as the staff were so unfriendly unhelpful and miserable that we decided not to bother! Went next door and got a mc Donald's! Not what we was planning but at least the staff were friendly and efficient! Truro Pizza Hut needs a serious staff overhaul! Won't bother returning.

We took a last minute decision to eat at Pizza Hut and on reflection wished that we had not and could have spent our £31 somewhere better. Overall the service was slow in all aspects. It seem to take an age before we were shown to a table to be then informed that certain Pizza crusts were not available. When we did get to order our meals we were again informed that there was no sweet corn available for our Americano however, we were given the option of choosing another vegetable. In the meantime we decided to select the entrée salad which did have a good selection. On arrival the Pizza's were not hot and were rather bland in taste. There did appear to be one waiter working extremely hard whilst the rest of the waiting staff did an excellent job of looking busy. We felt that the restaurant could do with a revamp in particular the chairs had definitely seen better days and looked grubby. In short would we return however hungry ..........No I am afraid.

When out in Truro shopping decided to treat ourselves to lunch, 3 adults, 1 child and a baby.On arrival waited a whole to be seen to to organise table... Was then asked where we would like to sit so picked a booth table, we then grabbed a highchair and was told we now could not sit where we had picked because of 'health and safety' so moved to a table in the middle, way to big for our party and highchair couldn't reach the table for baby to eat! So then another waiter came over and we asked if we could move... We told him where we were before and he said that that seat was safer than the table we had been moved too! Interesting... So we ordered drinks and went for the unlimited pizza and salad bar... Pizza was ok not overly warm.. but all the salad tasted like it had been out a while and none of us finished our bowl! When paying the member of staff again did seem very happy but seemed that was the mood of the resturant.. Will not return again :(

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday, ok so it's not 5* dining but she isn't a fan of Pizza Express and you know what you get with Pizza Hut. The restaurant was clean tidy, and well presented and our waiter was attentive and polite, food was delivered warm and speedily. All in all a very enjoyable evening.

Very impressed with the helpfulness of the staff with half of our parties gluten allergy. Nothing seemed too much trouble thank you. Only thing is they say all the toppings are gluten free but we didn't have the sausage just in case! Also only thing stopping the five star was the horrendous stomach ache my son had after which we believe was down to the ice cream factory. He said it was cery watery (which was obvious to rhw eye) but also that it didn't taste like normal whippy ice cream. They checked it was gluten free so we are thinking it may have been the odd consistency instead. Otherwise pizzas were great and good choice for all in the party group.

My friend and I went there last night, the place was full up with large tables of people but we were found a spot and seated immediately. The staff were helpful, answering questions and changing one of the toppings for another for me. We had to wait for our drinks, which wasn't a problem at all but the staff apologised, wiped them off the bill and gave free refills when we hadn't paid for that. The pizza was nice, but what made it better was the excellent staff.

We had my daughters 10th Birthday here last night and it was a fair few years ago I have been to a Pizza Hut and was not that impressed but last night it was Brilliant! The food was prompt and no mistakes and it was really tasty! The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough for us, we were a table about 20 so I can imagine we were stressful to serve but they were Brilliant!There is so much more choice on the menu now and the free Salad is a bonus. The salad was delicious and all fresh! Downsides we could have done with some activity packs to entertain the kids and there needs to be a Bouncer on the Ice Cream tap.....because the children most def O.D'ed on Ice Cream.Brilliant Night thank you Pizza Hut!

I visited here last night and I had a good time! The staff were very young but very sweet and attentive at all times! The food was good too! And I don't think it was pricey we had a starter a main and a drink with unlimited pasta and salad for 12 quid! Even though it was slightly busy there was no wait and the whole experience was very enjoyable. I was shocked as I read some of these reviews when I came home as I think they are slightly over the top, I have been to far far worse than here! Try for yourself I had a lovely meal and experience thank you :)

Half term last Monday and decided to take advantage of the advertised Happy Hour. Shows up on website not under offers, but under food section. It is a great deal for weekdays from 3-5pm. Timing was good for us and for restaurant it presumably brings in customers during quiet time.Food is good and plentiful, starter, salad bar and pizza with bottomless fizzy drink.The Monday visit went very well, helpful staff, prompt service and no issue re Happy Hour - gave a good tip and went away very content.Returned to same restaurant on Friday at same time to be met with a very different story.Asked for Happy Hour menu at check in area, server said not available. We politely queried & said we had it on Monday, it is on website and table menus referred to it earlier in week. She checked with manager who told her it was OK. Food server then took over and we ordered - she returned to tell us Happy Hour not available and we needed to reorder! Explained we had had that dialogue on way in and was told it was fine after her colleague checked with manager. We had to ask her to bring manager over as she was adamant that not available. She returned without the manager to say we could have it but just for us. She said she had been given info from another manager, hence the mix up. So 2 managers involved and neither bothered to come over and talk to customer!We were made to feel like we should not be getting deal and atmosphere did ruin what was a reasonable meal. Ended up leaving with some of pizza in napkin!So clearly poor attitude and leadership in branch visited and some questionable activities behind the scenes - since visit on Monday, all cards on tables referring to Happy Hour were removed, they were not even at till. Staff clearly briefed to deny its availability - and looks like idea is to deceive. Buffet extended during half term until 5, but that is £6.99 with no drinks and starter is extra. Happy Hour is £6 with starters and drinks.No mention that on menu or website that Happy Hour is limited other than it is from 3-5 on weekdays and does not apply to Bank Holidays - seems this branch decided to hide it?I asked in restaurant what problem was, I emailed Head Office and mentioned it in the customer survey - no explanation given at restaurant and no reply yet from other communications.So by all means take advantage of Happy Hour, but make sure you stand your ground - we recommended it to friends so if they were met with same responses we received on Friday visit, they would likely have been "bullied" out of the option.Issue does seem to reflect on management of this branch – cannot comment on other branches. But visits here can be hit or miss - good food and prices ruined by service attitude on some visits. Some staff are very helpful, others avoid eye contact especially when trying to get free drink refills - maybe that is local policy as well?With 17 out of 31 reviews at date of writing giving poor or terrible reviews, you would think something would be done to buck up this place.

Went to Pizza Hut lunchtime because they do a Pizza and Pasta Buffet (with salad too if wanted).I've been before as it is a good place to meet with friends and the self service is convenient.Staff are always cheerful and will bring drinks etc to start you off.The pizza choice on this ocasion was slightly below their best as they kept on running out of one or another variety and the hot pasta pots were running low and could have done with replacement. The salad bar was good and the loos clean.

Not happy at all,our daughter wanted to go he for a birthday lunch,9 to day.We phoned and booked a table,they said they had run out of balloons.So we took some helium balloons with us.We where all eating our pizza when the young girl says do you want a box for that.Then ten mins later she says do you want the bill-we are still eating.Then she comes over with the pizza boxes,r u going now.I just looked at her and said can we all have icecreams please,but while we had just started eating our ice creams she put the bill on the table. We don't know what the rush was all about the restaurant was not full at all.

...with hardly enough cheese on veggie pizza - pretty poor value - however the salad was very good - served pretty promptly - no better than most pizza huts we've been to.

Would agree with previous review - average. Visited twice whilst on a recent holiday. The first time we visited the service was very quick and efficient, the second time they were busier and it was very slow. Food was as you expect. Handy location for tourists in the area not far from the A30. We would probably visit again if we were in the area.

Whilst not the worst pizza restaurant I've ever been to, there is perhaps not much to shout about here. I ate here with my family at lunchtime midweek. We were shown to our seats quickly & drinks arrived promptly. The salad bar had limited choice as did the pizza bar. The food was good & my family are everything. I've definitely been to better pizza huts. Lunchtime deal was reasonable value for money.

We had dropped in for dinner with family after a long drive. No one bothered to attend to us for about 30 minutes. Finally, I approached someone in the staff and was told that we had to register at the reception so that a waiter could be sent to the table. Well, that was done and a lady came and took our orders. The food was fair enough and the salad bar was well stocked. The restaurant is expensive though and not good value for money. Plus they need a good manager to run this place efficiently. As long as that doesn't' happen, the Mcdonalds next door is the best place to head for to have a good value for money meal. Now I know why there are very few customers in this place.

Me and my partner went to go here for a evening meal we had a table booked for half past 8 and we arrived at 20 past to make sure we got there early to be told yes we have your booking but your not getting to eat as the system shouldn't of allowed the booking and were told to go away

there was 20 of us, that went for my birthday meal,, cant complain about anything,, it was lovely and accommodating, food hot, plenty to choose from, loved it

Food is good here, deals usually available most of the time and a large selection of food. However (as most other comments say) the service is bad. You need new staff who know what they're doing, and are even slightly attentive! Great location, food & value for money - shame about the service. I between serving us, and getting out drinks, you could see our waiter got some food of his own as he walked through the 'restaurant' still chewing his food.... Many other good pizza places around, avoid this one.

I visited the restaurant with my wife. During the visit I was served by Wayne, Wayne seated us as soon as we entered the restaurant, he then offered us a selection of starters and explained the menu very clearly, I was delighted to find that our starters had been cooked straight away, but with enough time to show that they were cooked fresh. As well as our server being happy and helpful we felt special as our server stuck with us right the way through the visit, I would recommend a favourites platter as there is plenty of choice. Definitely worth a visit as the food was delightful.

We stopped off at the Pizza Hut in Truro on the way from shopping at the retail park further down the road. It was extremely busy but we were seated quickly and eager staff were anxious to take an order before we' really read the menu - this is a positive not a negative as, in our experience, you can wait ages at busy times. I'd have liked a bit more explaination of the menu as the was our first Pizza Hut visit and we weren't quite sure of how to order all the different choices. But we muddled through and ordered a large supreme on a thin crust. We helped ourselves to salad which was all very good but propably should have been restricted to adults serving themselves or adults serving accompanied children? Children on their own helping themselves with fingers rather than serving utensils rather off-putting? The pizza arrived and looked and smelled delicious, sadly it was so soggy it was impossible to hold a slice without folding it, not the thin crispy base we expected.All in all, it was ok as we were hungry, but will not be tempted to visit again. I'm told Pizza Express is better so on the lookout for one locally to make a comparison!

Typed by my daughter on my account: 15 16 year olds, well behaved spent nearly £200 here this weekend...they went early - considerate about the time they would be busy, arriving at 4 - they were pushed to pay the bill and then watched and eyeballed till they left and had to stand outside waiting to be collected in the freezing cold, while the restaurant remained empty! They were given and charged for extra coke...I was collecting and was going to buy a coffee and order takeaway pizzas (plural)...they lost this order. Next year this group will be college students, most of them will go away and come back to Cornwall to live and work in the future...you just lost yourself some great prospective customers - next time they will go to Pizza Express Truro, where 2 weeks earlier they were made most welcome!Yet again someone in our family not impressed!

we ate here around 5.30pm on a weekday before a show at the college, we had to wait to be seated, even though it was nearly empty. we were asked to chose our own table and had some menus chucked at us but the waiter. we decided on our food and drinks and waited for ages before the waiter came back, i got eye contact with a few of the staff, hopfully they would take our order soon, but it seemed, most of the staff were talking a joking in the kitchen, ( we could see from our table) we were served by honestly the most annoying waiter ever, who kept cracking annoying jokes and gave us all high fives - not impressed, totally over the top and attention seeking and unprofessional, really not what we wanted or expected after a long day, we just wanted to eat, enjoy our food and go. the food was warm but not hot, our fizzy drinks, all flat, the salad bar looked a total mess, so off putting, food all over the floor, serving spoons and counter looked poor and dirty, a total turn off. not at all ejoyable, never will go back. i have no issue with fast food - but i have an issue with poor service and poor hygiene.

Everything was fine for us today. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive, the food was all cooked well and most plates were cleared, the service was good. We had a nice meal. I'm surprised at the poor reviews, maybe we went on a good day? We found it fine though.

It's your standard Pizza Hut the same as any other across the country, clean, tidy, welcoming and nice pizza. Only trouble was by the time I'd eaten my pizza it felt like I was buying a house. My daughter and I went to Pizza Hut to have a meal and a chat / catch up, but felt it was spoilt by the waiter constantly coming over. He asked if the meal was ok which is fare enough, but then would follow with a Pizza Hut advert and explain how to visit Pizza Hut websites etc. By the end of the meal I was only thinking , wish this bloke would give us a break. I'm all for good customer service but there's a fine line between good service and being annoying. I assume the waiting staff are told to push these offers etc by Pizza Hut management, they obviously don't realise how annoying it is. The food & drinks we enjoyed and I thought it was good value, overall the experience was ok, just wish they would stop the sales tactics.

Service very slow every time we have visited they have run out of something, last time it was ham! one year the oven blew up!

Don't go here, the service is rude, tardy and surly (Don't worry as they won't know what this means). The food is a disgrace and the place is a shambles. One would think that with so many places withing a 5 minute walk that they might get their act together, but no, its always been this bad

Had meal here with my family. Salad was good variety and nice and fresh. Service was ok. Table cleared quickly for us and initial taking of order was quick but no follow up once meal arrived. I always think Pizza Hut is expensive so the price was not a surprise. Overall it was an ok meal. Good to go to for a change.

Twice on our recent Holiday in Cornwall we had the misfortune to eat here, we should have known visit number two would be no better than the first. The Staff are lazy and spend more time standing around doing nothing when people are waiting to order and tables need clearing,than actually working, on our first visit the only two people on view who were actually working were a manager and a young man.Visit number two a week later was no better, the food when we actually got it was Hot and Fresh, but the service was worse despite the Restaurant being less busy, Once again staff were either standing doing nothing or hiding in a cupboard . Tables were littered with waste food and tissues again, and the floor was filthy, someone had started brushing it and abandoned the job , leaving a right mess.. Service was Appalling , and a Lady who said she was a Manager apologised when we complained , but the staff need a Rocket, not a Manager apologising for them..We are going to Cornwall again next year but we wont spend any time or money here , I only gave two points for the food, non for anything else, Undercover Boss needs to go here ASAP before Enviromental Health Close the place.

Arrived late afternoon to a restaurant that was nearly empty. The bored waiter asked us where we would like to sit. We then waited for ten minutes to have a drink order taken. Meanwhile another waitress had seated some more guests and took their drink order whilst our waiter was nowhere to be seen.

This pizza hut in Truro has considerably deteriorated in both service standards and food quality. We have eaten in there both in the restaurant and takeaway. The last occasion we ordered a takeaway over the phone, 5 pizzas , all we overlooked, rock hard burnt bases, no sauces, dried up ingredients and stone cold. They were so thin you could almost see through them,!!! Shocking , even the chicken wings were dried up and overlooked, where is quality control, who checks the orders or better still the condition or quality of the food!!!!! We usually spend about 50-60 a time but we will never give our money to this chain again. When we rang up to complain a young child like voice said just bring it all back and wait for 1 hour an we can have more pizzas!!!!! Hardly takeaway convenience!!! Very rude disinterested staff . Avoid if you want a burnt disgusting pizza

I worked for pizza hut for 3 years as a waitress when I was a teenager. If I would had worked as poorly as these employees I would had been sacked. Lazy, rude and chatting to only each other. The food was nice but its not hard to get that wrong. I told them how I felt and I got a pretty miserable sorry. Only reason why we went is because of its familiarity. stay away!

Okay so pizza hut is pizza hut so the food was alright. But let me just tell you it ends there. This would be the worst service I have got in a restaurant in a long time. Just for your information there where 3 tables (if that) with people on them so not bust at all. Waited 15 mins to be sitted, then when sat it then took another 10 mins for someone to take our order from us. Then after another 10 min wait drinks came then 15mins after that food arrives. Not one top up of the drinks the whole time even after i asked. Then come the end of the meal and after another 15 min wait we ended up going to counter to get the bill payed. When my wife mentioned the service being awful the response was not a sorry but that well this what it was like. Nice touch so in the word of there own staff the service is not very good.

I have visited numerous Pizza Hut outlets over many years. I have always found each one to offer a reasonably consistent standard of food and service. I would consider the Pizza Hut name one to trust for the above reasons.I visited the Truro branch purely by chance, I was travelling to the town and happened to stop at a set of traffic lights where my wife spotted the restaurant, so we pulled in.The restaurant was not that busy, but very untidy. The staff seemed very busy rushing around the restaurant, in and out of staff only doors, and going to speak to people in the car park, but not alot else seemed to be happening. The tables around us remained uncleared for the duration of our visit.The waitress that served us seated herself at our table whilst taking our order which I consider a little over familiar. I was also presented with my bill immediately after ordering which was a little strange.The overall standard of food was average, but was very slow to be served. We were served a coke with no ice or lemon offered or given, and a coffee which was served mainly in the saucer. The visit to this restaurant will not deter me from visiting Pizza Hut outlets again but hopefully this is not the standard I will be seeing in the future.

A would suggest people avoid this Pizza Hut - certainly not like some good ones i have eaten in in this country and abroad! Long waits for the food and poor service - the waiters seem to compete with each other to the detriment of the customer and the manager doesn't appear to have a god grip on the situation - total chaos to even get in past the queues waiting for takeaways - and they didn't sound happy...Next time I'd be better off across the road at the local Big M - and I hate fast food!

This Pizza Hut is rated 41 out of 42 restaurants in Truro at the time of this review. I must admit, it made me chuckle seeing that!In fairness the speed of delivery & quality of the pizza I ordered was actually pretty good. I couldn't fault that.It's just the rest of the ambience and general management that lets the place down I feel. On entering mid afternoon, I wondered whether to just take a seat of wait to be seated. So I waited... rather too long in my book, before being helped. This only happened as I flagged down a young lad working there, asking if they could squeeze one in (ironically the place was 75% empty at the time!). He promptly said yes, but had to check the seating plan on the computer to see if there was a table?!I was shown to the table and told that it would be cleaned for me as there was an empty glass there and a lump of what meat off a pizza. The glass was removed, but the table was not wiped.I was served by a pleasant young lady who took my order very politely, and to the script. I then received my drink & later food, by a pleasant young man who also was polite & worded insincerely from the script.....I ate my pizza to the view of the lump of the previous occupant's pizza meat. Nice huh?I thought about asking for it to be removed, but I couldn't be bothered and I was playing the game of waiting to see if they would actually do it themselves. No in a word!Anyway, as I said before. Nothing wrong with the food, just maybe a bit of guidance needed to run the place as a tighter ship. It's the attention to detail that lacks. I know it's basicly a fast food joint, but there should still be standards and pride in work.

They hide the menus for advertised cheap deals and the free drink refills are a joke - seems staff are trained to avoid any eye contact and dart from kitchen to table following different routes so you cannot catch them!When I asked for the £5 meal deal of drink, pizza and salad, the offer was denied. When pressed it was still denied and only when if was clear that I was confident (having gone to venue specifically because offer was spotted on line) did waitress admit it was available but admitted that they do not promote in that restaurant! So she brought menu for the offer and quickly returned it to it's hiding space once order placed.Emailed company via their website but no response. Seems to be a policy in that branch, if not wider.Ever noticed this ploy in adverts outside pubs/restaurants? Lure you in with a deal outside and then menu does not mention it, very annoying!

If your looking for good value for a family meal to feed yourself and your not really bothered about atmosphere or ambience and just want a good fill... then chose this hut. Compared to service I have recieved in St Austell and the occastional mishap of being giving one of the lesser friendly of servers at truro I have had a number of good experiences. Lunch time buffet is good value and Teri who served me was extremely good even under what seemed like huge pressure from the volume of customers. I would also say that in the evening a waiter named nick has served me who gave excellent customer service to myself and partner. The food does not seem fresh but it is filling and now the salad bar is free when you order a main bonus!

Pizza hut in Truro is appalling! The service we have been given on numerous visits has been diabolical. They just sit you down and forget about you. They have no want for business, the staff would much rather stand around trying to look busy than helping any of their customers. I even managed to make one of the waitresses cry. Seemingly the only one that was actually serving people and actually doing her job effectively. It wasn't busy, there was about 6 other families in when we arrived and within an hour, all I'd had was a drink which needed to be refilled and my starter, garlic bread. We managed to get the whole meal for free after speaking with the Duty Manager about it but it's always been the same. In the 6 years it has been opened, the service has never ceased to amaze us. Teething problems we put it down to first but I think it's time they all learnt how to run a business appropriately. They can hide behind the Pizza Hut name but the service they provide is poor. They have lost a lot of custom because of this.
