Pizza Hut in Tendring

Went to Pizza hut with friends. Have to say disappointed, got seated by someone in jeans and t shirt who looked like a guest, with no introduction of who he was. He mumbled something about drinks machine not working and to order at the table. We ordered the buffet on the app, it gave us the option of leaving a tip. But we chose not to just for someone to bring over glasses for us. We had to wait for pizzas to be bought out. They hadn't cooked enough for the amount of people in the restaurant. The salad bar wasn't topped up and it was 12.15 when we got there. The Nachos were stale. Very disappointed indeed. Think we'll give it a miss next time.

On arrival we were promptly seen too and sat at a table. We were informed that they were low on staff and were working as quickly as possible. Looking around the restaurant it was rather unclean. Food on the floor and the tables were sticky. My glass for my drink was also dirty. When the food arrived which took about 25 mins to come was average. My lasagne was like a ready meal, my partners pizza was tasty but tiny for the £14.99 it cost. My daughter's spaghetti was ok. When having dessert my daughter had the ice cream factory and we found that the shakers had ice cream in so couldn't get much out of them. I would return to any Pizza hut after this experience. Very very costly and not much better than KFC which is a dam site cheaper and taster. I would take your money elsewhere

Ordered online via there site (well tried to - takes you to Just eat) ... Poor service, restaurant don't check notes for any allergies etc. Due to they never checked my order arrived with an item on which ment I couldn't eat it. Restaurant wont help says hands tied, and Just eat wont refund . Not good service at all.

End of the road for Pizza Hut as we knew it. Souless environment, dirty, miserable and I paid over £100 for the shocking experience. Couldn’t even bring themselves to wish my 10 year old a happy birthday. I will never step foot in another again. No cash taken and want you to do everything on an app….. another establishment following the governments agenda. When we went to sit the ‘waitress’ use the term lightly brushed dirt off our seats and tables. The salad bar and ice cream bar was a disgrace. I would’ve walked but didn’t want to let the birthday girl down. Clean your restaurants train your staff smile & interact.

We had the lunch time buffet, pasta from salad bar not being replenished. Pizza was few and far between, 1 pizza coming out at a time. 10 minute wait between pizzas coming out. A terribly poorly run establishment, from waiters through to chefs. Dirty tables, crap food, expensive drinks. I felt embarrassed to have chosen to come here, i felt sorry for my children. I felt so sorry for them ive since had to make it up to them. If it was up to me i wouldnt have paid but my other half wouldn't let me.

Dirty, (tables/walls/floor/seating) staff were 50/50 some tried some didn't bother, decor is tatty, ladies toilet had no soap (also the same toilet staff use, go figure) when I mentioned it, was told to use the disabled one. Food was greasy & too much oil. Salad bar was unappealing with food in layers on the floor. Assistant manageress seemed more interested in chatting to her visiting family/friends than address the hygiene issues or lack of. Won't be going back.

As we arrived we were told the group was too big (7 of us) and they might not have space as they were already really busy and would have to check with manager. The young girl went to check and come back and told us yea it’s fine but next time make sure you book as they are really busy, during our time there was hardly anyone else in the restaurant. Maybe 4 other tables at the beginning and then 1 other as we left so I’m not sure what that was about. The food was good and come quickly, the salad cart was nice apart from the lettuce which looked like it had been sat out for the last 4 days. All in all was ok and would probably go back but I would like the choice of being able to order through the QR code on the table or ordering as normal from waiting staff and paying with card or cash at the end of the meal. There was pizza in the sink the whole time we were there so toilets are not checked as often as you think, just a few things to work on and it would be a lot better.

What a wonderful waitress is pocket dynamo Summer. So genuine, so kind. As for the food… the G.O.A.T. pizza is rather fine, if a bit overpriced. Their soft drinks at £3.69 are way way way WAY overpriced…!! Oh and before ending this review… a word of praise for Austin, the outstanding shift manager. With staff like Austin and Summer, Pizza Hut are clearly doing something right.

Arrived at 2.50 on a sunny Sunday to be greeted by a friendly manager . The restaurant only had 4 other people in it . We were seated and he explained we could order via the qr code or a server would come to our table shortly . We looked at the menu and saw the buffet section available behind us with a plentiful amount of pizza available . However , when Tom the server came over and we asked about the buffet he said it wasn’t available as stops at 3pm - we pointed out it was only 2.55? He said “ I know , but last time I did that I got told off ! I don’t know why but I did “ . We then asked for time to decide and he left us . My partner asked the manager why , when the buffet is until 3 could we not have it ? He offered no proper explanation, so we decided to leave and go elsewhere . Tom said goodbye as we left and apologised . Definitely will not be returning .

Was advised on entering that payment was by card only, then told had to order via the app. Was shown how to use it and worked ok. Had Buffet, very limited choice ( 2 chicken. 1 pepperoni and 1 veggie (tomato sauce and cheese)) these were just warm. Tea was cold so asked for it to be replaced, 2nd cup not much hotter. Restaurant was practically empty. Won't be going back anymore.

Visited Clacton on sea restaurant today Initially ordered food using the mobile phone app, this worked ok until I got to the payment where I was taken to a website called mediacraze and having entered my card details found I had subscribed to a fake website. The only way I could stop future payments to them was to contact my bank and cancel my debit card. On seeing that we were experiencing difficulty with the ordering process a member of staff took our order. So be warned if you use the mobile app as it is not secure. I am sure a large company like Pizza hut would make sure this could not happen. The food was ok but I could not enjoy it as I was worried about my bank account being ripped off!

Visited yesterday with my daughter and family. We ordered through the app. The waitress advised us that as we were only guests having buffet at that time we could request pizzas we liked. We requested hawaian and spicy chicken. Unfortunately the same three pizzas cheese vegetable and pepperoni kept coming up for the first hour until finally my husband spoke to the manager and the ones we had requested finally came up on the pass. The salad bar was clean and tidy and well filled. The waitress kindly got us smarties for the kids ice cream and was attentive. Was just a shame we had to wait over an hour for requested pizza.

We had a lovely Buffett here when we visited in April with lots of selection. The staff were welcoming and attentive. Would return.

Had our traditional Pizza Hut buffet here before returning from our annual trip to Clacton-On-Sea. As usual brilliant value for money where you can eat as much pizza, salad, pasta and Pepsi as you can manage. My only complaint is you have to order through the app. This was the case last year but as my phone couldn't pick up my location (it was telling me my nearest restaurant was in Scotland) the staff were very accommodating in taking our order the old fashioned way. This year we were told this was not an option though and were unable to pay with cash or the gift card we had. At least the app registered my location this time but was a little annoying as we wanted to pay by cash and gift card.

When we arrived we were not told as to what they did not have and instead had a piece of paper given to us which was written so small you would need a microscope to read it. The food was possible. The service was terrible and no apology was made for the fact that they had no refillable drinks. There was also no clear explanation as to when a refund would be given. The website was unclear as to what they did and did not have. The staff clearly did not know what they were doing! For any persons or family intending to have a pizza, do not go there.

Went to visit first time since lockdown.. They wouldn't accept cash only card so they've lost our custom. Very poor policy when everywhere else accepts cash again now. Also going by the other bad reviews on here we haven't missed out on much.

Ordered a pizza delivery. Was stone cold and rank!! Paid extra for dips and didn't receive any. Not even the ones that come with the sides. Called and complained, only to be offered £10 off next time. No thanks wont be wasting my money again.

Visited on a Sunday evening and the food was terrible. Felt like corners where cut with food and overall hygiene, very disappointed with some members (not all) came across as rushed and rude. Will not be eating here again. Overpriced, under quality.

The place was filthy our first pizza came out with no cheese and pineapple had been thrown on on one piece.waiting ages for a kids pepperoni pizza as they brought out the wrong pizza waited on cheesy chips as they forgot to put them on garlic bread was black so had to be sent back the pepper pot was disgusting.the cookie dough was rock hard you couldn't even put a spoon in it. One of the waitresses through the spoons down if you don't like your job you shouldn't be working there.yhe new cinnamon bites desert tasted like pizza crust with iceing chucked on top.first manager was very rude and unhelpful didn't even apologise.overall the place was very dirty the second manager was a lot more helpful and seems to me was left to get on with it by the previous manager who left.

Thought myself and wife would pop into Pizza Hut for an evening meal. Most of the tables hadn’t been cleaned. Staff were rude. DISGUSTING!!!

Friendly staff and female manager. Nothing was to much trouble. Excellent customer service. Lovely pizza just how a pizza sould be. Lots of lovely filling and cheese. Salad bar full of lovely fresh food. Clean and tidy. Shame that the other pizza place can't live up to this place. Well done pizza hut.

I am absolutely APPALLED by the service I received today. We placed an order in store for take-away. First of all the manager with the barber blade tattoo on his neck came across rude and dismissive. We waited over 45minutes for our order, they didn't tell us a waiting time when placing the order. Eventually the same manager gave me a box and said I could fill it up myself, as I was doing this he then carelessly said "when you're done with that, you're food is there" and signalled towards the hot waiting area and walked away quickly. I was so confused. I could have picked up anybody's order, luckily it was the correct one. He also failed to give us the 1ltr bottle of pepsi we had together with the order. Perhaps if he wasn't acting so comfortable and care free, he'd be more aware of what's going on with orders and customers. And to top off all of that, the chips were stone cold. I'm very disappointed by the services provided by this branch. Perhaps this particular manager needs a refresh/top customer service course because it's VERY much needed.

Had a meal with 4 adults and 5 children. The staffing was far too low for a Saturday evening and the three staff members, that were waiting on tables, were clearly stressed but still managed to be courteous and smile and ask if everything was OK. The salad bar was almost empty for over half an hour and no bowls available purely due to understaffing. With a reduced menu, which meant many things are no longer available, and slow service, due to not enough bodies being on duty, Pizza Hut will have to be careful or their share of the market will quickly diminish.

We arrived for a late lunch on Easter Thursday. We were seated and our order was taken quickly, but then 2 of the waiting staff disappeared. We assume they that had both gone on their break.This left one female manager on her own. She was struggling to cope and was focused more on seating and serving new people than looking after those already eating.We had to chase the garlic bread sides for the kids menu twice and the girls had both finished their pizzas by the time it arrived.We wanted to get our leftovers boxed up and order the girls some pudding, but we just couldn't get served.There was a male manager who was just hanging around in the kitchen and near the till. He reluctantly served a pudding to the table next to us and we asked him to help us.He was VERY reluctant, offhand and rude both taking our order and bringing it to the table.When we went to pay he didn't offer thanks or a farewell greeting.Not impressed with this level of service.

Soggy pizzas .salad bar good . Overcharged so please check your bill...help yourself fizzy drinks Pepsi tasted very unpleasant . Won’t be going back.

We came here at half term after going to the cinema. It was fairly busy but had very few staff actively serving. Our order was taken quite quickly and the kids helped themselves to drinks from the unlimited soft drink machine. It would be great if children could be given smaller glasses as they are huge and are an accident waiting to happen. Which it inevitably did! A while glass of coke straight across the table!We asked the waitress for a cloth and was given a handful of serviettes. As much as I don’t mind cleaning up a spill myself, an offer of a cloth or some assistance would have been great. The pile of soaked serviettes sat on the table until the food arrived. The kids had the children’s menu food which comes with a side. The sides still hadn’t materialised 10 minutes after their mains had arrived. We had to ask for them after we saw the waitress attending another table. The food was ok, the kids enjoyed it more than we did!The cutlery was dirty and the table was a bit sticky.

Thank you so much for a lovely meal tonight for my sons 5th birthday. We were allowed to bring in our own balloons and cake, making it more special. The staff were very attentive and patient with our big table order. They turned down the lights as they took the cake to the table and we all sang happy birthday, it was a really lovely night made all the better because of your lovely staff!

Walked in at 6pm on a Saturday. The noise was unbelievable. The restaurant was cold, the aircon must have been set low. Kids were jumping over partitions around the seating areas, running around, shouting, swearing, coughing all over the salad bar - it was uncontrolled bedlam.

We had a great time here. The pizzas were hot and tasty and the healthy Salad Bar is an improvement on the stodgy old pasta previously on offer. Lots of variety and nice cold drinks to follow. Lovely. Its a good balance between gorging on too much stodge and a healthy balance. Its a cut above McD and BK anyway! You choose.

The pizza was cooked fine but £19 for a sharing pizza for 2 is not value for money! The salad bar was s*** no pasta on a salad bar just lettuce toms and cucumber, we left here hungry still. Will not return do not recommend at all. Staff were ok.

Went two days in a row and both times was really impressed with the customer service. Food was really good, staff were friendly and toilets were clean too. Would definitely go again

My wife & I went to Pizza Hut yesterday for the first time in ages. We didnt have a very good experience previously & always gave PH a wide berth because of it. However, yesterday we decided to give it a go. What a magnificent transformation.

The food was ok, if you like pizza your on a winner. I find the music to loud, which tends to make people shout at each other to be heard. It was a family get together and we couldn't really chat and catch up. Not a lot of choice for anyone not wanting pizza.

Visited for buffet lunch with my daughter and grandson. Staff pleasant enough and the buffer including the salad bar was well stocked. Pizza decent enough and piping hot.

visit often. food is always good. service is great and staff friendly. we can choose where we sit. use their app to get deals etc. sometimes a bit nosey and a bit cold in there. would highly recommend

Visited Pizza Hut in the evening, the pizzas listed on the menu did not appeal to me so I created my own. I had a pan base, onions, chilli, cherry tomatoes and beef.. The pizza was very nice and was well prepared and presented. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The only problem I have with Pizza Hut is that they keep changing the menu and no longer do the hot and spicy pizza that I always used to order.

Went there with my wife between Christmas and New Year for lunch. Had not eaten there for a few years but was pleasantly surprised. All the staff had a smile on their face and were very helpful and pleasant. Food serving area/hot lamps was clean and tidy together with the salad bar. Food tasty and the right temperature. Was encouraged on no less than 3 occasions to down load the app, not for me. Will visit again though

Visit this restaurant regularly with my wife and any grandchildren visiting us. Good place for young children as it has a good childrens menu.

I went there with my daughter and my 4 grandchildren. I hadn’t been to Pizza Hut for a while and was pleasantly surprised. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, also the food was really nice. Everyone enjoyed it and the children could help themselves to the salad cart and also the ice cream with different toppings. Definitely go there again

We enjoyed buffet lunch, selection of pizzas and the salad bar. There was a good selection my only improvement would be they could have been warmer but the restaurant wasn't so busy so presume food turnover wasn't so high. The areas were clean and presentable. Our waitress was friendly and really helpful.

I visited this particular Pizza Hut 2 times whilst staying in this area, and it's literally 2 minute's drive from Highfield Grange Caravan site which is handy. As you enter the restaurant there are 2 separate doors, one for take-aways, and one for eating inside. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and the décor nice. We were shown to a table far enough away form the salad cart to avoid people walking past all of the time which was good. the staff are very friendly, and attentive. They came over to take orders, deliver food, check we were okay, then enjoying it. On the first visit, it was nice and quiet, and the 2nd, rather busy with young families so it was rather loud. The pizzas were of high quality, and very tasty. We created our own sharing pizza with 3 cheese blend, pepperoni, ham and onion which was superb. The refillable soft drinks are ideal for just £2.85, so all in all a nice visit, good food/drinks, and friendly and helpful staff. Well done!!

We came here for dinner today without having made a booking. They managed to accommodate 16 of us and sit...

We went to Pizza Hut on a Monday lunchtime and had the buffet. The restaurant was clean and we were served quickly. The food at the buffet was piping hot and replenished when needed meaning it was always fresh. Unfortunately some parents there were unable to control there children and as a result they were running around the restaurant and making mess with the food from the salad bar. We will definitely revisit if we come back to Clacton.

Vine aquí con mi esposa y mi hijo de 2 años. Sé que la comida es basura pero maldita sabe bien. Este lugar nos cuidó muy bien, no tengo ninguna queja la verdad. El personal era amable y servicial, y la pizza estaba buena.

Pizza Hut - ClactonWe haven't been to Pizza Hut for a good while, but while we were getting some compost in B&Q, my Daughter said that she fancied some Pizza and that she will treat us to lunch.We were seated immediately, which was probably a good thing because had we had to wait any length of time, it would have given me a chance to change my Daughter's mind..... 'A treat, mid-week', what's all that about!!'We picked our table well away from any (loud) children and the girl asked us if we'd like our drinks; we usually have soda re-fills, which you can also help yourselves to. We had to clean the table because it was very greasy and dirty. I don't know how because I saw the girls going around squirting the tables as soon as people left....but it was like a film of ground in dirt on our table. The napkins were filthy afterwards!It wasn't very busy this particular lunchtime, but when we went up to the pizza bar, there was only one slice of vegetarian there!! I wish they did more for Vege's. They do enough meat ones. I got that last sad, lonely bit and helped myself to the salad. If you like pasta, there's always plenty of that up there to help yourself to too. There's other items on the menu, if it's not just pizza you fancied.As we were eating it started to fill up more - with families. Hubby and I enjoyed our pizza and then our Daughter fancied some ice cream. Now, Hubby and I do NOT like the ice cream at all. It's just like frozen milk, and melts quickly in the bowl like milk - it's not nice. There's also sweets to sprinkle on top if you wanted that too, but she just fancied the ice-cream.We managed to pay in quick time and left without any queue's etc. All in all, a good visit. It's a comfortable place to be - especially if you have children!

This is as good as most chain places. Decent food and service. Avoided the buffet and went from the main menu.

Went here today for a family lunch visit Opted for the buffet Worst mistake ever There were hardly any pizzas to choose from and the ones that were there looked like they'd been there ages , where the cheese had hardened on the top After a little while the waitress asked if we'd finished and I replied no when are they bringing out more pizza? I was informed shortly after that there were more in the oven and would be out shortly and they were We had a choice AGAIN of cheese pizza or jalapeño and cheese So I Waited and I waited and I waited and again she asked if I was finished. The kids were restless as they had some hard pizza and salad as had the husband so I replied Well if cheese or jalapeño are going to be the only options today then there yeah I'm finished She asked what pizza would I like and they would cook me one My response was quiet simple a buffet as advertised not just two different pizzas I wouldn't mind but they were small ones too. Her response to me was in no way a resolution simply "ok" as she took my plate and walked off returning with a full price £31.00 bill. I will be writing to customer services maybe I'll get a better response from them I have enclosed pictures of he lovely buffet selection throughout our visit between 115 and 230 Oh and let's not forget the rock hard garlic bread which had sat there for the duration of our visit

Nicely laid out, pleasant outlook at Brook Park, friendly service and easy self-service for extras. Prices, typically Pizza Hut, not particularly good value for money, but everything else was great.

Have been here twice recently. Service is very slow but food is always good and hot. Chips are lovely! Restaurant has been quiet when I have visited. Worth a visit but same as other pizza huts

Was lovely inside, spacious. The staff were lovely but because it was quite they kept coming over and were too pushy on downloading a app. The buffet was lovely but the cheese pizza was cold but all other pizza was lovely and plenty of salad selection

My daughter chose this venue for a birthday visit with eight friends. We were present as her parents and ate with them. The food is what you would expect and the staff coped admirably with our noisy party of young girls. I don't think I would have been overjoyed to have been sitting near us on that occasion but..... it was a children's party and in a venue like this you don't expect anything else. Well done Pizza Hut - you have a popular brand and product and on this particular occasion you provided exactly what was required admirably. A special mention to the staff who worked very hard to make our visit a pleasurable (if noisy) one.

Pizza hut can be a bit hit and miss, Colchester ones are terrible but this one is very good, staff keep it clean and salad bar well topped up, waitress is very good and not in a hurry with you and are worth tipping well, food always good, menu has improved but need to offer calzone.

The food was nice. Service was good but think they were understaffed as was a bit slow. Had a good offer on so salad deserts and pizza for £20. Bargain as sometimes these places are stupid expensive. Salad was fresh but dog down as stuff on the surface as the salad tops looked tatty. Refill soft drinks which was nice. Two meals for less than £30 including drinks etc. The toilets were a bit grim. Smelt a bit rough. Tip: Try not to get a seat in the walkway as the space for people walking past isn't massive - you get food and borderline molested as people can't seem to help but touch you

No matter what pizza hut I go to its always uncomfortably cold! The food is alright the service is OK nothing ever really sticks out for me apart from pizza hit decor is nice and welcoming good bright colours but that's about it unfortunately

The food was as expected delicious and quick. The waitress was polite and seemed to know about the menu. She also addressed my children as people and not kids which goes a long way for my wife and I. However the ladies bathroom was terrible. One cubical did not flush another did not lock the floor was dirty and in the men's the cleanliness did not improve. We mentioned it to the staff who listened but seemed not to care. It's a shame as up until our toilet visit this would have been a 5!!

Salad bar well maintained but colslaw quite bitter. Uncomfortably cool to be honest we were quite cold. But pizza was nice and spaghetti was a little spice for my 5 year old. The waitresses were efficient and friendly though.

Dropped in here for an evening meal 5 adults one child. The food was good, the service excellent, lots of people using the restaurant.The only downside was the volume of the music which made conversation difficult

We are staying at the local holiday park and decided to pop over to the local Pizza Hut for a buffet lunch. We were seated pretty quickly and the service was efficient.Everything looked clean and well maintained. There was a good selection of food on the buffet.During the visit we witnessed a Manager (I think he was a manager - guy wearing a patterned uniform shirt with lanyard etc) go around to all the tables asking everybody if they were happy with everything. I think that's really good management to go onto the floor himself for the customer feedback. He took time to talk to my son too and was very friendly. The other staff were just as friendly and professional too.Not really a negative but the only one that comes took mind is that I felt it was all a bit squashed in the restaurant. Wasn't easy to manoeuvre between all of the chairs and tables. Like I said, not really a proper negative but more of a constructive criticism. I'd recommend eating here.

Had a BBQ pizza, was awful, it had no taste and you couldn't even pick it up as it was so sloppy, my other half asked to take hers home as she didn't finish it all and the staff never brought it back out. Had a chocolate brownie, and the dish was piping hot causing me to burn my finger, I even found a hair in the pudding, so I complained and asked to speak to the manager, her reply was "I'll take it off the bill." no, would you like another and not even an apology, would never go back again!!

Two of us came for lunch yesterday having not been here for many years. The restaurant was almost empty so the service was quick and attentive. We both had the buffet which was a bit of a let down. Pizza had clearly been sitting there for quite some time and there was a very limited selection, and what was there wasn't replaced/ topped up at all. The pasta was very poor too- very hard as of it too had been cooked some hours before! On the other hand I did have a chocolate milkshake which was to die for!In the past this was always a very good Pizza Hut, so maybe this was just a bad day...

2nd visit here .. the last time there was a bug in our food but it's been a year and these things happen (I guess?) .. food was about average, service slow like before and our chips tasted as if they'd been left in a dirty sink for hours. The pizza was okay, but all in all not really worth it so won't be returning ..

The staff are very enthusiastic, friendly and always helpful. The food is good and it's really great that there is a free salad bar (helps the hunger when you're waiting for your food!) I recommend going here.

Lovely meal out, food was great and piping hot. Shame the staff did not notice a child buggy blocking a fire exit and get it moved, they just worked around it.

For a company that specialises in pizza I expect alot better. All the pizzas that I tried all tasted the same and were dry. Will not be returning

This restaurant is local to me and I feel it fully deserves a review. We had the Buffet Lunch (eat as much as you like), there was a very good selection of Pizza's which were hot with lovely crispy bases, the choices on offer in the salad bar were extensive and it was all freshly prepared. The service could not be faulted in any way and with friendly and happy staff it was a pleasure to eat here. The restaurant and its furnishings are extremely clean. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.

I have just moved to the area and was a bit sceptical about Pizza Hut. This one is the exception. The staff are super friendly, but not over the top. The food is excellent and always hot. Never had to wait to long to be served. The salad bar is always being refreshed. I would really recommend a visit to this restaurant.

Visited tonight about 7:30 was sitting straight away, the order was taken within 5 minutes of sitting down. We helped ourselves to what bottomless drink we wanted and to the salad bar. Pizzas arrived within a few minutes of us finishing our salad bar. Pizzas were spot on could not fault. We had a student waitress she was great we could not fault her customer service. Will be back again - much improved from our last visit a few years ago

Pizza Hut is pretty standard wherever you visit but this one stands out due to the quality of staff working here. They were friendly, attentive and cheerful. 5* service.

Came here for lunch one day and ordered onion rings to go with my food. All good but then when i removed the greaseproof paper the bowl they came in was filled with mould. My advice is to check your plates/bowls before eating

Stopped with the family for dinner. The food was good, the service was fast and excellent. Great place to eat.

We were treating the kids to Pizza Hut Buffet during the 6 weeks holidays......It was quite quiet, which was nice and not too many little kids in there - always a good start.We found the topping up of the pizzas quite slow, especially as I only eat the Vegetarian one. The salad bar was well stocked and it's great that the drinks are now 'serve yourself', so you don't have to keep trying to get a waitress' attention just for another drink.The only complaint I have got about our visit was that we actually treated ourselves to the ice-cream bar - this being the second time EVER that we've done this...OMG...It was awful!!! The ice cream is literally just frozen milk - it just melted within seconds and was a bowl of sweets in milk - YUK!!! It tasted of absolutely NOTHINGIf anything, Just DON'T finish the lovely lunch off with ice-cream....it literally made me ill (throwing up as soon as I got home) - I only had 4 slices of pizza with a plate of salad!

Accommodated us well with young twins and an infant all under 2 years had a great range of foods at the buffet and 4 year old throughly enjoyed herself, waitress was friendly and made our visit pleasant.

No trouble getting a table for eight but was far from empty.Had the lunch buffet and there a great choice for all of us and the salad was lovely and fresh.Would definitely recommend.

Haven't been to Pizza Hut for quite a while so the family decided to pop in and give it a go. The menu is boring the food is extremely average have had better pizza's from the kebab shop...it's not cheap though you do you get unlimited salad in the tiniest bowls and unlimited soft drinks.The service was good and we didn't wait too long considering there were a few of us but I won't be visiting again soon. dominoes all the way!!

Fabulous service, staff were friendly and efficient. Facilities were clean and the food was great, freshly cooked ( we had the lunchtime deli) dishes were kept warm and topped up regularly.

Found ourselves here et lunchtime (we are not locals), and I decided to go against MY choice of food and go with what the kiddies wanted ...... Was met in the car park by a member of staff telling us the ovens were broken, whilst searching the net for other options a member of staff came back to explain that the ovens were on, but there was a 20 minute heating up time. We decided to go in and so glad we did, the staff were efficient, happy and attentive. Food was excellent and fantastic value for money .

Me and my fiancé visited here at the beginning of May and I have to say it's the worst ever visited Ive had to Pizza Hut it started off well we walked in and managed to get a table sat down and chose what we wanted to eat this is where it went down hill we both ordered our pizza's and wanted the individual with this the waitress asked my fiancé if he wanted to go large on his pizza he said yes I was asked the same but i wasn't that hungry and didn't want a big pizza. We went up to get our drinks and the floor was such a state pizza and chips everywhere to the point I actually slipped on a chip and nearly fell over so this had already annoyed me we went over to the drinks station where again this was just flooded on the side with sticky coke. We sat back down and our pizza's come mine came as I ordered and my fiancé came out as a sharing pizza with this we said we didn't order a sharing the manger that served us said well this is what you ordered and we said no the waitress asked if we wanted to go large not sharing and he rudley said well large is sharing no one told us this !!! Then the manger said well you can always take it home there was no way we was paying £30 for two pizza's he was very rude and unhelpful I told him that we didn't want both so with this I gave my pizza back and ended up sharing with my fiancé which wasn't the pizza I wanted. We left and no one said anything to us. I then phoned later that evening to make a complaint a lady answered the phone I said I want to speak to the manager with this she told me she was I said that I wanted to make a complaint she was so rude saying well what do u want me to do what was so wrong with ur meal and I told her and she hung up on me! Don't ever go to this place they want to rip you off staff and rude and its so dirty in there your probably more than likely to get food poisoning

Most of the staff are friendly and seem to know what they're doing. I would recommend ordering the pizza from the menu rather than the buffet section as it tends to be cold and greasy.

I haven't had Pizza Hut in ages as the one where I lived has gone down hill but we needed something to eat quickly so we went for lunch time buffet! The restaurant was lovely and clean, the food was fresh & hot, the staff were polite and attentive & best of all the bill was CHEAP. Loved it. Thanks Pizza Hut clacton.

Went for a meal on a Sunday evening and very few people in there. Salad bar was clean and the food was good value. The toilets were clean. Staff were friendly.

Welcoming service at just the right pace. Salad crisp, fresh tasty and lots of choice of ingredients and dressings. Popcorn shrimp was crisp and just spicy enough. Pan crust meat fest was perfect - you could taste everything but nothing dominated. Really super meal.

We enjoyed a buffet there, and the food was all piping hot, the salad was all fresh and the pizzas were changed very regularly. Perfect for what we wantedThe toilets were kept spotless, and this says a lot about a restaurant. Well done

Went to pizza hut for a meal on Sunday evening. There was only one other couple there so lots of choose of seats in fact more staff than customers. By far the best time to go as no kids around. Had the meal deal which was good value. The salad bar was clean which is good as hate it when people have mixed the different items. So a good meal.

Quick service (even though the place was packed out we were given a table very quickly) hot very yummy food (there is a great selection, we choose the buffet and the cookies are amazing!!!) Highly recommend. We have also had take-out here-waited 30 mins but it was worth it. Friendly staff and check out the awesome deals.

Thumbs up to the kitchen staff, the food was fine, orders correct and the it was hot and tasty, thumbs down to front of house staff, the place was dirty, food on the floor, cutlery and crockery was filthy, salad bar was a mess as was the area around the drinks dispenser, there were three staff on the floor with around 5 or 6 tables of 2-4 customers and a bigger table with a small child's birthday, probably around 10 covers while we visited. Having read a number of previous reviews it seems as this is a bit of a pattern for this venue.

Went here in way home from spending week in St Osyth. Had the buffet which at £6.99 for all you can eat is a bargain. Drinks are extra but not too expensive. Got there at just after 12pm. Was very quiet but filling up quickly. Pizzas were not ready and had to wait about 20 mins for them to come out but that was explained to us. Salad bar had a good selection and was very nice. Pizzas were great and frwsh when came out. Service was great and the staff were friendly. Very good.

Just across the road from Highfields, so we had the lunchtime meal deal. A nice variety in the salad cart, followed by hot pasta and hot pizza

The young servers were all very helpful, considerate and friendly - including Emma who served us. Three adult pizzas with free help yourself salad, three "bottomless" soft drinks and two enormous chocolate sundaes - came to £39.70 which I thought was reasonable. Yes - the salad area and drinks area was a bit untidy - but if you want somewhere pristine with no kids around in school holiday - then go elsewhere!!!

Does what it says on the tin. Pizza. Collect. Eat. Satisfied.Is convenient. Only ever collected so can't comment on the inside.

Went for a quick dinner with wife. Found that had the edge back and had the meal deal which had garlic bread and potatoes wedges. Good that they now let you get your own soft drinks and not have to have wait for waitress. I had a voucher for a free cookie dough. Which I will say I will not order again as lots to sweet for me. It was busy as half term but still got food quickly.
