Went to go to Ask as always great in there. Unfortunately no table available so decided to go to Pizza Hut. Well NEVER AGAIN!!!! First, u r told to order by an app. Then u pay before you get food!!! In a RESTAURANT!! In the app, they ask, do u want to leave a tip!!! FOR WHAT!!! Food disgusting, salad bar looked all dried up and nasty! £33. If your thinking of going here DONT BOTHER.

Nice to go into a restaurant and actually be able to eat something. They had a good range of Gluten free and Dairy free alternative's.

Some restaurants will stick to their rules which is okay but this Pizza hut broke their rules to make their customers happy. My wife wanted tea (at least two or three) but that was not part of the buffet deal but they made it part of it. The Buffett choice was initially limited but the chef actually asked us what pizza would you like me to cook for you and even came out into the restaurant to ask for more suggestions. This sort of service should be actively encouraged.

My sister and I both had a pizza with salad, it was delicious. Although short staffed the service was excellent. The Manager Alexandra was welcoming and helpful.

Thank god for the return of the buffet and salad bar - but disappointing there was no unlimited Pepsi on offer, so for those intolerant to sweeteners you have to pay extra for just one small bottle of Pepsi. However, the buffet was as good as it always is and very filling. Never shut down the buffet again as bluffet was rubbish.

Me and my mum went to Pizza Hut as a one off treat as it was my Birthday and because we don’t live near to a Pizza Hut restaurant, we came all the way to Basingstoke for the sole reason to have a Pizza Hut buffet, but was left disappointed with everything. We both understood due to restrictions in place at the time that their had to be some changes made and we tried and go with the flow, but our waiter who happened to be the manager didn’t explain the system well enough so we’re left confused for about 10-20 minutes whilst we waited for him to notice we were trying to call him over and for him to explain, once he explained it better and were both left disappointed with their system, we went for it anyway. And had all available pizzas which was a joke because a opinion of 4 pizzas isn’t good enough, one reason we like Pizza Hut is the salad bar, and to say we were underwhelmed with the options for salad is a bit of a understatement. Also had all the sides as we wanted to make the most of what we could, but the sides weren’t that great either. I also had a drink which was unlimited as so I was told I had to call him over for him to refill it, I was waiting ages and he had disappeared so yeah I know I shouldn’t have but I went up to thr machine and did it myself, He caught me and bassicly shouted at me ME for doing so. So we finished out pizzas, paid and got out of their. Not only was our food disappointing, manager was unhelpful but our waitress couldn’t of been more rude if she tried, her attitude when we asked for things like cutlery and to explain how the system worked was so poor. Their is no excuse for poor customer service, I’ve spend my whole life working in customer service and i know you should never treat a customer any less from perfect. Wasted journey, completely ruined my birthday treat, shall go to Reading or Bracknell next time.

Sat with my daughter having lunch on the unlimited SMALL pizza deal and the manager and waitress both chat among themselves about the amount of pizza I wanted to order and then infront of the whole restraint the manager says "wow have you eaten all the 6 pizzas" and then says something along the same lines when I first ordered!!! Bearing in mind I recently had at eating disorder and am trying to put weight on and haven't eaten a thing until I got here... made me feel so uncomfortable and judged, don't think I'll be returning... I was SHOCKED.

We visited this pizza hut after a lovely day out and the service was appalling. Our daughter recieved her fries 10 minutes before her pizza arrived and we received 2 of our 3 sides before having to ask where our pizza was after approx a 10 minute wait. Then upon the manager arrived at our table explaining she had given pur pizza to the delivery driver that had just come in to collect. This manager was not very apologetic and didn't inform us of how long we would be waiting. After asking for our pizza to be put in a takeaway box as we no longer wanted to wait in the restaurant, our daughter had already finished hers. After receiving the takeaway pizza we had to ask for our fries and our daughters pudding. Terrible service and will not be attending again.

Drove for 40 minutes to get to my nearest Pizza Hut restaurant. The pizza arrived with burnt crusts, no sauce (that you could see or taste) and the thinnest layer of cheese possible. It tasted of nothing but bread! After 2 mouthfuls I Very politely complained. The manager (Sam) responded by telling me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with the pizza. I said that I wasn’t paying £23 for some burnt bread and was then told to leave as she scooped up the plate. I thanked her for unbelievable rudeness and appalling service and left Pizza Hut has been going down hill for years. NEVER AGAIN! I got home, ordered Domino’s and it was perfect - and half the price.

Myself and 2 daughters went to this restaurant for lunch and all I can say was the food was absolutely disgusting, we had 2 flatbreads and both were soggy and under cooked the pepparoni pizza had a funny taste and as for the green leaf salad we'll what a laugh a bit off soggy out off date ice berg lettuce and grated carrot and a couple off cherry tomatoes 🤔🤔🤔 the whole experience was awful we were given a £10 vouchers for next time! I have since emailed head office and after many emails off them still trying to give me vouchers which I would never use as we all felt so sick after our experience we would never go back, I am awaiting a refund and it has been over a week now and correspondence seems to have stopped the customer service is disgusting.

Went on a Wednesday to take advantage of the government scheme. You are encouraged to order using your phone. Dislike this as with children we encourage all tech to not be used at meal times. I managed to get them to take my order by they are refusing cash... cash is a legal tender and shouldn't be refused i understand encouraging card payments at the moment but was informed that they haven't been provided a till as they want you to order and pay using phone. The service was so slow I waited about 15mins after finishing just to order a pudding. Someone next to me has used the phone service and was still waiting a long period for service. They were bringing orders to the wrong table. When the food arrived it was hot but I will not be returning until they are back to normal service.

I went for lunch. Had to wait ages to order. When we ordered I ordered a salad and buffet. The buffet was supposed to come with other things but all I got with a child’s size pizza. My pizza was burnt. The people next to me had been there for a long time for the same as me. The staff were rushed around. Very disappointed.

Pizza hut is great value for money and allow for allergies, staff very helpful and understanding of allergies. Plenty of choice and great service, well worth a visit

In Basingstoke visiting the theatre, we decided to meet friends for a meal before. Having tried all the other restaurants in festival place we had to opt for pizza hut as its the only place we could find. Staff seemed friendly and food wasn't to bad. My main gripe was how dirty the restaurant was. Floor and tables not cleaned. The toilets were really bad, that I was shocked. Wouldn't go back unfortunately.

Having been seated it took over 10 minutes for the waitress to ask if we were ready to order which we said we were. she then disappeared again coming back five minutes later. Once ordered it took 30 minutes for two simple pizzas to be served. People who arrived after us were served their food before us. Whilst we were eating another dinner had two of their meals delivered but waited 20 minutes for the last meal to be served and that was after she had asked on three occasions. They were not too busy when we arrived so can't use that excuse.Whilst pizzas were nicely cooked they were not cut very well. Will not be returning

There isn't too much to say really. The food was as expected along with the service. Overall the meal was pleasant as was the service. Overall the decor and atmosphere wasn't quite there but no real complaints. Getting the final bill took a little longer than I would have hoped.

Sadly we visited Pizza Hut in festival place and were disgusted by the dirt covering the floor and the complete lack of customer service. We were one of two tables and had to wait 45 mins for garlic bread and when we chased up our pizza we discovered it had been given to another table and they will make us another. We couldn’t wait any longer so paid for our drinks and garlic bread and left. Please sweep the floor soon

The service was amazing especially since there was a number of unexpected family that came. Everything was don’t in time and with care and experience. Especially a guy named Jarath K in the Pizza Hut in Basingstoke Festival place. Thank you for your service and how you handled everything and everyone with care and kindness as well as professionally. Hope you have a nice time working there x.

Came to Pizza Hut on a whim and as there were too many of us . We were a bit wary they won’t be able to accommodate us but the staff were absolutely amazing. They were so friendly and lovely. Even though our kids drove us bonkers. The service was amazing and quick. And it seemed like they couldn’t do enough . Would definitely recommend this hut.

Walked in and waited 5 mins for a seat whilst staff chatted amongst themselves at the back. Finally got a seat from a grumpy woman not in uniform. Then after waiting 15 mins I walked to the back to request service. Waited another couple of minutes and then they went to another table. I had to walk out after wasting 30 mins with my hungry 8 year old daughter. Good luck to those who go there

Took kids for dinner treat and was amazing. Great food and refillable drinks they were on there element. Staff friendly and helpful great place..

Foul behaviour from the manager who informed me she 'didnt care' that she had made our family feel uncomfortable by being extremely rude to us throughout our meal. I am shocked.

Went with family to celebrate a 4th birthday. There was limited staff, but we were served quickly and efficiently. (More staff arrived later.) There is a great choice of menu. The children had the child's meal, which was ample. The salad bar was filled regularly, so there were no empty compartments. The bottomless drinks were favourite as well as the ice cream. An enjoyable tasty meal.

Went for a late lunch with my boyfriend today around 3.30, had two pizzas, drinks and sides and couldn't fault any of it. Neither of us had been to pizza hut in years and we were pleasantly surprised. The best part about the whole experience was William ( short brown hair, arm tattoos ) he was so lovely, chatty and efficient.He was cleaning the place constantly aswell! William deserves some recognition, thank you :) we hope you got to have your cheesy chips! X

It was fun to enjoy a pizza that does not come out of a box. The unlimited salad bar was a good accompaniment to the pizza. My friend enjoyed the chicken wings and BBQ ribs. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Salad bar included and well stocked, although this was an early lunch. My gluten free pizza was mainly nice (little soggy in the middle), my daughter has a lactose intolerance so ordered vegan cheese at £1 more, but plonker in the middle of her pizza and looked less than appetizing. Didn't taste great either. Service was friendly and prompt. Toilets a little grubby in the corners.

I went there to have a lunch with my family. Main meal arrived before the appetiser so I suggested the waitress to cancel the appetiser. She refused so had to eat the food in reverse order...

We didn’t have a booking and were seated promptly which we were grateful for. When we were seated. we ordered drinks but the waitress didn’t tell us that the glasses were at the stand. We then waited and asked her When she took our order and were told they were at the stand. The salad bar was a bit mucky but expected as it was being used by children unsupervised. We didn’t wait long for our food and the food was really nice, but the whole time we were at our table we had to constantly bat away fruit flies from our drinks and food. This is an indoor table at an indoor restaurant. It made it stressful. Then I needed to use the facilities and there was no toilet roll in all three cubicles. I came out and told the manager - she was very helpful and grabbed some straight away. After this when I went to wash my hands there was no soap. When I returned to the table the manager was clearing our plates and we asked for the bill. She must have forgotten because the staff then all focused on serving the birthday party next to us. We waited a long time and then I was able to call over another waitress who promptly got our bill and allowed us to pay. Nobody came and asked if our meal was ok. I wanted the opportunity to tell somebody about the flies but we weren’t given it. The whole restaurant was dirty - all of the skirting boards and floors were filthy. The service was poor and it’s such a shame.

Came for pudding and milkshakes with my sister. William was super bubbly and lives up to his reputation of making the best milkshakes

Me and the missus always come for puddings here, our waiter was bubbly and really funny. Didn’t catch his name but he told me a story about his milkshakes and he was very entertaining!

Me and my partner went in for food on Sunday 5th July and left around 1pm. In the time we were there they served us the wrong pizza and in fairness this isn't a crime and they corrected it however they then tried to serve the pizza my partner had touched to the two boys sat at the table next to ours (that arrived way before us) and so him and his friend left Pizza Hut. One of the boys came back in as he forgot his tobacco and we had witnessed the manager pocket it and tell the boy he isn't having it back until he pays for his beer. Me and partner then had to sit and listen to the manager literally shouting her mouth off to the girl that served us all. I'm not sure where Pizza Hut have gotten there staff from but I have never had such a bad experience eating out. I can assure you, the manager and all of the staff in Pizza Hut in Festival Place Basingstoke have no hospitality experience and no manners! If your thinking about going here, I wouldn't bother! Any other Pizza Hut, just not here!

The salad bar was fresh and fully replenished. The food came promptly and was piping hot, fresh and looked delicious. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly. The staff were helpful and ensured we were happy with our meals and asked if we needed anything else. Enjoyable trip and good value for money. Something for everyone on the menu with to have vegan cheese too!

Went here for an evening treat - not so much a treat but a chore. We were sat straight away but service was slow. Salad bar was an absolute disappointment, used to be fabulous but nope. I asked where the pasta dishes were and was informed that because of the sugar tax no longer served. I would like to be able to make my own decision of what I eat and when. No onion bites, no bacon bites, no breadsticks. Buffet repeated so really only half a buffet to choose from. Empty blue cheese jar, when asked if it could be refilled waitress didn't look that happy at having to do it. Pizza Ok but the buffet part is the main reason I went. No point in spending £45 to not enjoy the meal. Staff chatting amongst selves, not really good when one is waiting to be served! Also raise the height of the buffet to prevent little ones putting their hands in the potato salad for instance!

A busy Saturday lunchtime but manage to squeeze us in, we ordered the 15.99 set menu which seemed the best value.

Some of the most pleasant staff that I have encountered. I really enjoyed the Christmas meal deal. Well done.

If you fancy being put amongst over 20 kids who constantly nudge you while there are empty tables away from them, if you like you’re music so loud because of the noise of the kids you can’t hold a conversation with the person next to you then I guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

Was quickly seated at a busy lunch time and enjoyed the buffet in a comfy booth. The food was fresh and the salad bar was frequently refilled. The staff were welcoming and happy to help. The price is cheap and the food standard is very good. Perfect for all the family. Would definitely return.

Visited Festival Place in Basingstoke today for the first time to meet my daughters,after doing some shopping we stopped to have lunch at Pizza Hut. We were warmly welcomed & seated quickly, our server was called Kinga & she went out of her way to help us with our orders. Our food arrived quickly & was very hot, the cloakrooms were very clean as was the restaurant. Based on my visit today I would certainly come again when next in Festival Place.

Have been to Pizza Huts before but this was my first visit to Festival Place. The restaurant was not very busy as it was just after 5pm on a weekday.. Service was good and the staff were friendly and patient! Obviously there was the usual Pizza Hut fare, but the pizza was great and the salad bar was fresh and there was plenty of it. The whole restaurant was clean and tidy.

I like the idea of helping myself yo what I like which is why I like to eat here.

We visited this lunch time for the buffet lunch. We were shown straight to a table and we explained our child had several food allergies they got the allergens menu. The staff went out of the way to find food our son could eat. The guy in a checked shirt came out from the kitchen and helped us. Three of us had the buffet lunch and our son had something from the menu.

Myself and my partner went to the branch in Basingstoke Festival place and after the experience we have just had we will NOT EVER be going back!

Restaurant had 2 people in when we arrived, so not busy.

We called in and stood behind a couple waiting to be attended to be seated. The restaurant only had about 3 tables full and one table got up and walked out due to the long delay. Finally a member of staff arrived to say they would be an hour and half wait, and was quite rude. The couple in front of us walked out followed quickly by us. If they do not want Customers please say so on the door, or either employ better staff or close down. Put me off all Pizza Huts in future.

Appalling! Went in for the buffet lunch so don’t have huge expectations but REALLY! We found our own table as no one came to greet us. After sitting for a while still no one came. I went to talk to a staff member who seemed to be talking to a friend by the kitchen! Asked if we should help ourselves? She said”yeah go for it!’’ I also asked if we could order drinks, after being told they had no lemon for a tea with lemon I ordered a water and a cappuccino, I sat back down amongst the dirty tables either side of us. We helped ourselves to Dryed up pizza slices and dull salad selections. We ate only because we were really hungry!! Our drinks never came. Waitress came over as we were nearly finished to say sorry the drinks hadn’t come but the phone hadn’t stopped ringing and had training issues!! I can’t imagine that the phone was ringing for bookings!!! Don’t waste your money in here!

Went here after meeting up with my son and were sat right by the main door even though half empty and was told only available place. No one came in after us while we were there either.

We tried to get into this Pizza Hut and got turned away... even though the right hand side of the restaurant was totally empty. Everyone was crammed over to the left.. One star for rudeness and total disrespect for business practices. How can a half empty restaurant turn guests away at 18:00 on a Saturday night.. beyond me. I will never visit ANY Pizza Hut again.

We went today at around 2pm & decided to have the buffet lunch. The waitress called Jo was attentive, helpful, friendly & courteous from the minute we entered to the minute we walked out the door. The food was nice & warm with plenty of choice. Everything was explained & we were asked if everything was ok a few times. Cannot praise them enough.

This isn't the first time this restaurant has shown me how impressively bad their service, staff numbers and low amounts of ingredients, but today we were told to wait inside the restaurant for 40 minutes due to lack of kitchen staff so all they could give us was the salad and some drinks. We waited an hour before we were even given a menu, which I had to pick up myself because the waiter had forgotten to give us one and had disappeared. We thought about leaving, one of the other waiters came over quickly and took our order, which they then proceeded to give our food to the wrong table, and these people were the sort to not question food they had been given without ordering. So we ended up being apologised to by the new waiter and he told us we would have to wait another 10 mins so they could 're cook the food. When we went to pay, we had a gift card which the waiters mixed up with another table and tried to act as though we hadn't given them the correct amount and that we needed to pay more. After an hour and a half in this restaurant, we asked the waiter to check our gift card thinking that we were at fault, but they proceeded to ignore our request to the point where we just left. One of the most shabby restaurants for service, would not go again.

To be honest we were disappointed from the start... And it didn’t get any better!!

This was the choice of the nine year old, but Basingstoke was SO busy on Saturday early evening, there wouldn’t...

This is the 2nd time we have been here. Forgetting how bad the first time was there. Wrong orders on food, first food came out burnt, drink machine ran out of one our drinks. Forget my fries. All meals came out different times. Then another meal came out extremely well done. Clueless at quality control. I heard the waitress bring out the meal to table next to us and say, "is that acceptable". As their meal was also very well done. Giving people a meal with the readiness of taking it back doesn't bide well for satisfaction. However it's just this outlet as the other Basingstoke one near Brighton Hill is way better. Clearly best practice not followed. Ran by millennials and children at best.

My husband and I popped in for lunch while in Festival Place for some shopping.

I was in with my family on Saturday 7th October 2017. We came around 2pm. I believe our waitress was called Stephanie, Where to start! She was rude and very arrogant, all I could here her talk about to her work colleagues is that she's only here for the tips, and she can't wait to finish, she didn't seem bothered to be there, it was as if she couldn't be bothered to put any effort into making our family trip to Pizza Hut worth while, if it wasn't for the kids being so excited to be there I would have got up and walked out! We will not be returning to this restaurant due to the fact of this poorly behaved waitress, as long as she's there I'm afraid your not going to get our custom, and certainly not our money, I have told most family members and they are also staying clear. It's a shame to write this as the two Ladies in checkered shirts, I believe they are managers? they were working so so hard and there table service was incredible, such lovely ladies! But if I were those ladies I would think long and hard allowing that waitress to work for me.

Meet up with a friend in town and we decided to go for something to eat we were not that hungry. Once we got to the service counter and smelt the food we suddenly became very hungry. The pizza was hot and delicious and there was lots of choice and the sale table was really well stocked. We were happy that the children were back at school as the place was really quiet for a lunch time. The best part for me was the ability to serve yourself with just the items you like and to be able to go back for more as often as you like. Serving our own drinks allowed us to not only choose different tastes but avoid the ton of ice that is normally put in glass of coke every where else. Staff were friendly and as they were not rushed off their feet all the tables were cleared and cleaned as people left so lots of choice of where to sit. These cheaper places to eat deserve to be respected for the service they provide for the price which is why I have graded as excellent, yes it is not 5 star but you get the best for your money.

Used to be a great place but has gone downhill....nose dived. Floor was filthy. By salad bar, what looked like a smoothy had been spilt. Not sure how long it had been there but in the 1 1/2 we were there no one cleaned it up. After an hour they only managed to throw a paper towel over it. I see another customer has a photo, shame it didn't show the state of the rest of the floor where they prepare drinks as it was strewn with paper towels and didn't show true extent of the situation. Plenty of staff, but whatever they were talking about in the prep area was obviously allot more important than basic health and safety. Salad bar poor, service slow.

Looking at the reviews it seems nobody from Pizza Hut management cares. The staff certainly don't. 4 of them stood at the back gassing most of the time, maybe it would have been more effective if only three were stood around and the other grabbed a mop and cleaned up a bit. Food was OK, but how has this place got a hygiene certificate???

On friday evening I took my wife and three kids to this restaurant for dinner.Kids were very excited to have their favourite pizza, We had to wait for 8 minutes to be seen by staff at the door and offered the seat and waited for another 15 minutes to make a order only by i waved the hand .Surprisingly i was told that their cheese is frozen so can not make stuffed crust and cheesy.The floors were filty,staff were bored and looked unhappy,Had to call staff for several times to order more,They took half an hour to make one pizza,we were tired for waiting for pizza,we will never ever go to that place again instead order a pizza from dominos.They totally ruined my friday evening with my kids,Rubbish,It is shame i think that restaurant will be shut very soon,

Haven't been to a Pizza Hut for some time so as we were away decided to treat the family also as an early birthday meal for my 5 year old. The place is filthy floors and tables all sticky, bathroom ceiling is terrible and the service, well if we had any service, was very poor !! Sadly won't be making a return visit that's for sure

Came here with my dad for lunch after shopping, bare in mind it's a long journey there for us from Home. Firstly, the waiter who seated us wouldn't let us sit where we wanted as said it was dirty and not been cleaned when it was perfectly fine he just didn't want us sitting there. But the main disappointment was lots of food and sauces needed replenishing on the salad bar and lots of tables needed cleaning but instead of working the staff were stood at the back chatting! Such poor management and the staff really let down the place considering the food was fab! Should maybe consider retraining

After walking out from the Pizza Hut in the Brighton Hill retail park. I am pleased to say that this Pizza Hut restaurant is considerably better. The salad bar is clean and so was the table and the cutlery. The staff however seem to be a bit gloomy and that they forgot to bring out the milkshakes at the beginning. We recieved our milkshakes after we nearly had our pizza. The staff seem to take plates from the table without asking you and this is a small flaw. The pizza, drinks and the food from the salad bar were lovely and my parents, boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

A well below average pizza hut first day I tried for the buffet 20 miniTues before it closed was told I could only have what was left no more top ups. Tried a second day and staff unable to cook quick enough. Never a decent selection of pizza. Restaurant not cleared quickly.

Came to pizza hut with my daughter whilst shopping in Basingstoke.We waited by the door for at least 5 minutes before being taken to a table. Then had to wait almost 10 minutes for someone to come over and take our drink order.Went up to the buffet to get pizza but the buffet was empty. The pasta which used to be mixed with a sauce was now on its own, you add the sauce separately so the pasta was really gloopy and rubbery but it was that or nothing.After 5 minutes a couple of pizzas were added but everyone swarmed in on them and they were gone as quickly as they were put out.10 minutes later more pizza came out. We managed to get a couple of slices but when it came to getting more there was none again.In the end we got fed up of sitting and waiting for more pizza that we asked for the bill and left.Really dissatisfied with the experience and the congealed pasta and 2 slices of pizza.Won't be back again

We visited here on a lunchtime to try the new improved buffet lunch. We was greeted and shown to our table quickly, offered menus and told to help ourselves to salad bar and buffet. Restaurant is well furnished and interior was nicely styled. Food was cooked well and the buffet was regularly restocked and refreshed. No waiting around for ages for pizza to be cooked and served on the buffetWould recommend this venue.

We came here today and had the meal deal for £26.99It was two sides , pizza and a pudding It was very yummy but half way through I got a bad belly so we didn't order the pudding .I would have thought as it was a deal that they would have offered to take a few pound off as we didn't have the pudding but they didn't

Very slow service even though there wasn't that many people in there, they got the order wrong, we had different members of staff come to us which was confusing. We asked for the kids meals to come with our starter so our young children didn't have to wait, the starter came out late and was wrong so we had to re wait, and the kids meals didn't come out until our meals came out (which again was late) so the kids got very bored easily.

The worst service ever!!! Me and my boyfriend waited 20 minutes in the door but nobody came to speak to us. We chose a table because we were hungry and we waited another 15-20 minutes to be served. Staff was awful!!! Horrible service. They don't smile and they don't even pay attention. Really bad. We will never come back!!!

So we turned up table of 3, we waited for 10 minutes without being seated and so therefore we sat ourselves and got our own menus, we then had to call over the waitress to get her to take our order, she looked like she didn't want to be there at all, the cups for the bottomless drinks were disgusting, and the soda itself wasn't soda at all, when asking about why it tasted like sparkling water they replied "that's how it should be" and it was very warm (room temperature). We then waited 45 minutes for 3 margarita pizzas. The cutlery still had food on it! Pizza then came out and was as thin as the napkins when we ordered stuffed crust we then told the waitress and she said she'd change them but didn't want to wait another 45 minutes so just ate what we had. We ate it all not having anyone ask if it was ok, working in a restaurant myself this amazed me how they have managed to get away with this. During eating our meal we witnessed a table of 2 walk in and then the "head/supervisor" on shift looked at them and walked back and started chatting and laughing to her colleagues. We were then sat there having finished our meals and still feeling quite empty having been on a few other occasions we would have all had around 3 slices left and no room at all left, we then waited another 30 minutes for 3 cookie doughs with a scoop of ice cream and one of them had come with a massive ice cube in the ice cream, we then witnessed them take the cookie doughs and started having a giggle and joking around while waiting around 10 minutes for them to put 3 ice cream scoops in there. Throughout our experience it was freezing cold and feel like we have been robbed after paying around about £50 between us.

Came here today for lunch, restaurant wasn't that busy but service was awful! Not sure if it's just this one as in other pizza huts staff have been lovely! Waitress was not friendly or even the bit interested when we made our order! Ordered a milk shake came In a metal tin. Asked for a glass to be told I had to drink it out of that! Even though the Bournemouth one give you a glass! The pizza was soggy and awful. When I mentioned this to the waiter, his response was oh I don't know I don't eat pizza! I wouldn't come back here anytime soon! Shocking staff and soggy pizza! Waste of money and time!

If you are in the habit of eating unlimited amounts of pizza this is the place to go. Even if you're not- you won't get short-changed.This place is on the up but from a low base!

Got shown to a table so far so good Food finally arrived after sat on hot plate for about 5 minutes Pizza was very soggy and the cajun chicken one was sooo spicy made me cough and my eyes waterOrdered cookie dough which was still bit soggy as wellSeveral times during our visit there was no staff on the restaurant floor and i saw 1 family walk out without paying using the opportunity of no staff watching them

Booked a table of 8 for a child's birthday meal. On arrival, table was not prepared, manager came over and offered us two tables separated by another one (!!) Had to wait for them to find two tables they could push together. Then waited over 30 minutes for them to come and take an order, even though restaurant wasn't that busy. Two other tables walked out while we waited. Service was lack lustre and uninterested. Food came after another 20 minutes, and was very average, all children's pizzas burnt around the edges. When finished waited another 20 minutes to have table cleared, even though we had stacked all the plates up tidily to offer a suggestion that we were ready to order desserts. Most frustrating thing was that there were plenty of staff, just the two managers on duty and most of waiting staff were stood in the back area have a good old chinwag - whilst tables walked out !! Won't return.

Came here today for lunch whilst shopping. All the staff spent most of the time out the back, or just generally standing about doing nothing. Took 15 minutes for our food order to taken. And the waitress really looked like she had other things she wanted to be doing. Slow service. Very disappointing

Came her on a Thursday night, not particularly busy, took a long time for the server to seat me at my table, pizza was ok not great. From getting my pizza to the end of my stay the service went south. No check back ,no nothing . Asked for my bill and it arrived a half an hour later. Terrible customer service, won't be back soon.

Had my anniversary meal at Pizza hut, received great service. welcoming staff.Veggie Pizza was yummy

Food always good, just not very clean! Might be an idea to sort the dishwashers. Tables dirty too. Shame, as they do a very nice gluten Free pizza

Went here for the lunch buffet with my sister.Very good value for money. Buffet was always full and restocked quickly.Good selection of drinks. Clean, good seating and very good and very polite staff.Would happily visit here again.

Went in for lunch yesterday and got seated immediately so that was good but we then waited for 15 minutes for our order to get taken. Sharing pizza came and it was huge. Bit too much for a lunch really unless you are properly starving.At £27 for the pizza and two milkshakes it's not great value.Salad bar was one of the better Pizza Hut ones I've been to.I think the Monday - Friday buffet at £7.50 is better value.

Terribly slow service and bad management, extortionate prices, a severe lack of cleaning and terrible re-branding! We used to love Pizza Hut but we'll go elsewhere in future. Shame.

The Festival Place Pizza Hut appears to be under new management and has had a huge face-lift. Very polite staff including the manager who was keeping an eye on the lunchtime buffet and general state of the place. Good clean toilets - something I always check out in a restaurant.Where else can you get unlimited pizza, pasta and salad for £7.50? All very tasty and well-presented. You don't even need to pay for a drink as there is a water/ice dispenser. This is very handy when you are shopping in Basingstoke - unfortunately most of the other eating places are pretty pricey. We will return!

Went in a Friday during school half term and had a buffet lunch for 2 adults and 3 children, 3 children squashes and 2 waters! £2.60 per child's squashes is absolutely out rages!!Plus the pizza was not being replenished quick enough on the buffet with a 15 minute wait with no pizza available!!

Came here with a friend last week. Wasn't very busy so were seen to a table without a wait. Good choices of pizzas on the menu and refillable drinks. Great service but sadly didn't get the lady's name. Will be back.

Went there today for a buffet lunch. It was pretty empty. The food was good, not a great selection of pizzas though compared to some others I've been too. Salad was nice and fresh though. Negative was one of the members of staff just kept standing there staring at everyone. It was a bit creaky. Would go again though.

We chose this restaurant for its convenience. We decided on the Big Sharer Deal at £26.95. First time we have had a meal like this. As there was only two of us we were surprised at the amount food we received. Eight generous slices of pizza. A portion of fries, onion rings and also garlic bread. All were well cooked and very tasty. Also you have a choice of as much salad you want for a starter. To finish we chose an ice cream desert. All in all we could not eat anything else. Amy. Our waitress, was excellent.

I ordered for home delivery from near by pizza hut which is just 0.3 miles away. But the pizza i got was totally cold even it didnt taste as it was freshly prepared. I ordered for Fab 4 Pizza but the I got single medium pizza.

Sunday lunch time. Restaurant half full. Ordered Philly cheese steak pizza with garlic bread starter and 7up. Glasses for drinks next to self dispenser were mostly smeared with previous use (including mouth/lipstick marks). Garlic bread poor (OK but low garlic taste). Salad bowl .... the salad bar had embarrassingly poor quality of products available; almost nothing looked edible! The potato salad looked like yoghurt with tiny white potato pieces at minimum content. Pizza didn't taste of anything... onions were prominent but steak pieces appeared to be small dog chews. Waitress was polite.

Stopped off here for lunch on the way to our holiday destination as our toddler needed lunch.Place wasn't very busy and the staff we encountered were pleasant enough. Place was clean, including toilets.Added bonus which we were unaware of as have not visited since having a child, was babies/toddlers who use a high chair eat for free!Food was hot and tasty and there was enough available on each visit to the counter. Some of the salad wasn't that fresh. Overall exactly what we were expecting but fulfilled our needs on this occasion.

I only go to Pizza Hut when I get over-ruled by my family. I really do not enjoy the experience. Despite the restaurant always being almost empty I always seem to have to try and 'catch the eye' of a waitress. If they could just stop their personal chatting at the back of the restaurant and keep an eye on the door it would certainly improve the start of the evening for us. If it were up to me I'd walk out. This same situation happened on our most recent visit. We're used to it now and usually the food is good enough to hang around to get seated and served. Sadly, it wasn't on this occasion. Our waitress was actually delightful. She clearly could tell that the service we were receiving from the kitchen was unacceptable. The nachos arrived. They looked good, but on closer inspection someone had clearly just tipped the bottom of the packet into the bowl. So, these were returned. We waited and waited and then our pizzas turned up. Despite them being different toppings, they looked remarkedly the same and almost slightly undercooked. Then new nachos reappeared.The salad was good in parts but why is the carrot so dry and the lettuce always going brown? Some tubs were empty - why can't these people notice that the salad needs to be replaced??When it came to the bill, the nachos were removed and our waitress added my prosecco (which was really good) on as a meal deal which we hadn't noticed.This place needs a manager and if there is a manager then he/she needs to have some supervision. With some effort they could do so well but the impression from most of the staff is that they just cannot be bothered.

We stopped here for fod on a Sunday afternoon. It wasn't busy and the waitress asked us where we would like to sit. When we said the round booth, she said 'Oh' and hesitated as if we weren't allowed in there!! She did let us sit there though!! The food was your average Pizza Hut. The waitress came over a couple of times to see 'how we were doing?' or 'are you still going with that?' - even though we said 'yes', she started clearing stuff away anyway, which we thought was a bit odd. I could understand it if they were really busy and needed the table. She decided we needed the bill in the end and brought it over without us asking for it. She had clearly decided it was time for us to leave!!!! It was fine overall - after all, you can't expect fine dining in a Pizza Hut.

Have been to this Pizza Hut several times and have always been impressed with the service. Today we left and went elsewhere. We walked in and waited to be seated. The restaurant was almost empty. I can see why. A waitress saw us walk in, but ignored us. Walked to the back of the restaurant where there were 3 other members of staff. After 10 minutes of waiting to be seated in an almost empty restaurant we left! Will not be returning. This was appalling service. Very disappointed!

I went with my wife and our two boys who are 8 and 5. We sat at one of the American style booths.Positives:The hand dryer in the men's toilets was efficient. I really cannot think of anything else.Negatives:The table was wiped down but under it was littered with food & the seats were dirty.The cutlery which is kept in a container on the table was dirty & missing most of what we needed.The booth was far too small even with two small children, so the table felt cluttered and we felt squashed.The BBQ spare ribs looked disgusting and tasted revolting. My wife asked me to move it from the table as it was making her feel sick just looking at. She had a point.The waiter was slow and poorly trained & they got my pizza choice wrong even though he read it back to me. So waited a long time and when it did come it was nothing special. I have had frozen pizza's at home that tasted twice as good.The door to the toilets opens onto the salad bar . Yuck. So I left the salad.We felt dirty just sitting there. I literally wanted to go home and have a wash.The next morning my stomach had cramps.It was probably one of the worst eating experiences in my life and I promised my wife I would never take her to a Pizza Hut again. It really was that bad.

I know its not the kind of place you go to get amazing service, but i was absolutely shocked at the level of customer service here. All young girls working with no apparent manager supervising them. We waited 25 minutes to order, we were in no rush so i didnt mind too much, but it was clear the girls just werent bothered. We watched whilst all three wiped tables, once there was two girls wiping down the same table and chatting. When we eventually ordered and got our food it was greasy and vile, just dripping in fat and oil. No one came to check the food was ok and when we left no one said goodbye. The management really need to sort this out, compared to its neighbours who all strive to be the best pizza hut is definitely lacking

Been here a couple of times over the last week. Pleasantly surprised that it didn't take an age to get served, and we were seated promptly even on a Saturday evening. Food was average fare, really, neither great nor awful. Beware if you get a table near the windows with the glasses roof, though - it's freezing cold there!

Myself and my little sister visited and decided to eat here, we were shocked when we found a voucher so used it on our bill at the end.The pizza is very tasty and quick to come out, but the restaurant is in a pretty bad location as its right near the exit doors to Festival place, meaning its very cold and they do not shut the doors! Probably wont return as I feel its a bit over priced and a takeaway pizza is probably better!
