Zizzi - Basingstoke in Basingstoke and Deane

A traditional Bolognese, and you won't find better in Bologna. Excellent and unobtrusive service, a large glass of organic Primitivo from Puglia, and to finish: That old favourite, Tiramisu. Soft and mouth-watering, I washed it down with Zizzi's organic Chardonnay. After a meal like that, you won't care about the bill. But if you want to find out, then go there. A perfect way to spend a damp, November Sunday.

It was very busy when we arrived, but Andrea, our server, was absolutely amazing! She was very kind, attentive and couldn't ask for a better server! The food was amazing (bar the lack of avocado in the salad) and well cooked, and the manager roaming around checking on things was lovely too!

I enjoyed my pizza. My daughter (adult) was disappointed in her wagyu meatball and pasta dish. The restaurant was very quiet on a Tuesday evening.

Visited with a few friends and the waitress Sophie was friendly and took our order in a timely manner. I ordered the Super Zucca which I didn’t finish as I did not enjoy it. The salad leaves were bitter and the butter nut squash was just taken out of the fridge making salad unpleasant. They could have warm the butternut squash through. The dish became tasteless and will not be returning. Not been for about 6 years so it was disappointing that the food had not improved. The toilets felt unhygienic. The whole place needs a refurbishment.

Everyone enjoyed their food, and Honey was very helpful and understanding with our big group with three young children.

We had lunch at Zizzi and I liked the prawn starter, it also had a creamy garlic sauce which was incredible. The sharing starters were nice as well, chicken pizza was good, but we didn't like the pasta that much as the only flavor it had was chili and it was so hot. Good atmosphere and friendly staff.

Honey was a great waitress and my god the food was amazing!!!! As were the cocktails! 5 star all the way 😊

Amelia was a super attentive server, couldn’t have been better. Food and drinkswas amazing and came out very quickly.

The restaurant was busy with large groups and we were warned that there may be a wait. Drinks were quickly ordered and arrived promptly and food was not long to follow. We were served by Liv, who was excellent, cheerful and helpful.

The waiting staff were so surly in our opinion and didn't smile at us even slightly late Saturday night just gone. They spewed out polite niceties like they were saying them through gritted teeth and under duress with stone cold voices and facial expressions - you would think they were encountering some enemy aliens! Would never eat here again on account of this fake polite and totally unauthentic reception which was as cold as ice in reality and hostile in our opinion.

Came here today for a birthday meal for 7 people for my husband. We arrived 45 minutes early but it was no problem, we was seated straight away. Drinks and food were quick to be served. The lovely young lady sophie who was our server was very friendly, helpful, polite and proffesional. She brought out a little desert with a candle and happy birthday written on the plate for my husband which really was a lovely gesture and made my husbands birthday even more special. Thank you zizzi’s! This was our first time coming to zizzi’s and it most definatly will not be our last.

Really lovely dinner here. Staff were super friendly. It’s a lovely buzzy restaurant and Zizzi have a very comprehensive breakdown of gluten free food on the menu. Meatballs to start were flavoursome and plentiful and the gluten free pizza selection was very good. Not just your standard options. Really nice topping choices. If I want a takeaway pizza, I think this is where I’d go to get one in future because of the quality.

Excellent service table was booked but we arrived early and they accommodated us our server Sophie and the others were brilliant friendly and very welcoming food was excellent it was my birthday and they brought out a little dessert with a candle on it which I wasn't expecting just added to the atmosphere my first time here overall excellent experience would definitely come again

Took mum and dad here as i had a £50 voucher to spend, 2 pizza's and a lasagne, and 3 pudds when my son turned up. Was laid out lovely inside and the air con was an added bonus on a hot day, food was fresh, hot and nicely presented and wasnt a problem to take home what i hadnt eaten in a take away box. Had an amazing meal here with work peeps at christmas so will deffo be going back again.
