Called to order 2 Large Pizza's whilst using the 241 Meerkat. Got put on hold twice to order to generic pizza's. I am extremely disappointed when I called I was told with meerkat you are only able to order Individual pizza's. I would have just gone to Domino's if I wasn't going to actually get 241

Despite being a really busy restaurant, and the fact that we could see Rebecca did not stop working for one moment, she was really attentive - warm & helpful & really looking after our table. She took care of all Accessibility needs & was thoughtful & thorough in ensuring a good experience for us as customers. We have used this branch many times specifically because of the staff. Sam is often working hard behind the scenes, and is unfailingly professional & welcoming when we see him. We really value the care Rebecca takes of us, and it is the standard of service that brings us back. The food is hot, fresh & well made. The team know their menu very well. During buffet sessions, the items are replenished & varied, despite the pressure of the lunch time rush. Equal care is given to takeaway items. Highly recommended. We can’t recommend them enough.

We visited for lunch on a weekday, using the discount code offered by a certain insurance company who uses cute rodents in their advertising. We explained this to the staff, who initially struggled to describe to us how we could use the discount, but we got there in the end. We haven't been into a Pizza Hut for about 20 years and very little seemed to have changed really, not sure if that is a good thing or a bad thing! The salad bar is still there, as is the ice cream factory, which our children used to love when they were small. An addition of a fancy drinks dispenser bottomless drinks gives you the freedom to top up when you like and to change your drink. We each had a pizza with a side, one stuffed crust, one thin and crispy. The food was fine, hot and freshly prepared. I always think pizza at a restaurant is better than one can produce in a home oven and we were really hungry, so almost inhaled our food. Staff were friendly and attentive. Even with our discount, our bill came to £24 - not bad. But had we paid the full asking price of £40, would we have come away thinking that we had received good value, no. Whilst staying in the Barnstaple area we had other meals at around the same price (without having been discounted) and felt that we had received better food and were more satisfied afterwards. Pizza Hut doesn't pretend to be haute cuisine but, for that very reason, a quick tasty meal, perhaps it is pricing it's goods too high to encourage repeat customers.

The lady that served us was great. She was busy but still served with a smile and made the difference between a normal visit and a great visit. Didnt catch her name but seemed to be only person working in the restaurant.

Went for a family meal, the adults pizzas were standard but the children pizza looked very tired! It was very pale and I’ve seen better tesco value pizzas! Would recommend for adults but not so much for children!

There are not many Pizza Hut restaurants left and what few there are feel a bit dated now if I am honest. The food is okay but the gluten free pizzas and other offerings are definately better at Pizza Express. Alas there wasn't one in the town I was visiting, still the food here isn't that bad and service was good and friendly. Everything is easy to do via the website - you simply select what you want, pay and then add your table number and hey presto it's delivered. I ordered a variety of starters - chicken wings, green salad and potato salad which came with some free tortilla chips - not gourmet cuisine but enough for me and more filling than it sounds. I guess I would come here again if I needed to although there are better places. There are also though a lot worse.

Came on a government 'eat out to help out day' without a booking but were found a table. Corona virus procedures and online ordering system were explained by the lovely guy who sat us... From there on service was quite poor we felt a little ignored. Food was okay and average value.

Homeless couple are using the place to keep warm and fed. They are drinking bottles of rum and rolling up joints. They smell too. I have complained but the manager has done nothing. I am sorry that they are homeless but this is not the place for them as children are having to out up with their swearing and rowing.

Service a little slow. Glasses for refills filthy as were some salad bowls. Starters were good. Ordered stuffed crust, base was very thin so when you picked it up all the toppings fell off. Crust all bubbled and very doughy. Wife's and childs food looked good though. Restaurant was clean. Prices a bit steep these days but luckily used a meerkat meals code.

Sunday early evening we were feeling peckish so went here Service was okay Texas thingy pizza tastes awful, a bit like bbq sauce on pizza base. I did not bother with the salad bar because of customers children constantly playing in it without supervision or staff intervention for health reasons at the very least. Will not be eating there again..

We arrived at lunch time. It was fairly busy but not overly busy. Lady sat us down. We sat for 20 minutes until we asked a young girl who was cleaning tables. She replied I will ask the lady to come over. Apex 10 mins later. Ordered 2buffet and 1 child meal deal. We tried to get drink refills but only water comping out. I did manage to catch the lady she did get it sorted after a while. Waited ages for granddaughters cheesy pasta. We went up to choose pizza but only 2 pizza so ok took a slice of each. Ate them and returned for more, still no replenish. I was amazed to find out there was only 3members of staff. How outrageous. The staff were so over worked and just couldn’t keep up. None of it their fault at all. Please Pizza Hut put more staff on. This is the 2nd time we have been in and the staff are running round in circles. It should not be called a buffet with only 2 types of food on offer.

The normal Pizza Hut food let down big time by staff who (for a start) look like they need a good wash and do not understand good service especially when you have kids. Being busy is no excuse (I didn’t put the amount of tables in the restaurant). That desert took half hour to prepare! and was served by pushing our dirty dishes aside! COME ON PIZZA HUT you’re better than this.

Really friendly and helpful assistant. The food was very good. The kids loved the salad bar and ice cream station

Positive points first; food was very good, quick to arrive, fresh, tasty. Salad bar was well stocked and fresh. Whole restaurant appeared very clean. Sadly all of the above were overshadowed by the awful service. The reastaurant was nowhere near full and yet it took forever for someone to take our order, forever to any drinks that weren’t self service to arrive, forever to pay the bill, to the point I almost walked out. Very quick to seat people and hand out menus, after that the service goes massively downhill.

Had shared margarita pizza with a friend which was delicious. Not a massive selection of salad on the day we went it but I believe that is because of the time of the day. Had the cheese roll crust which was so worth the extra money! Would go there again.

Not sure why so many bad review. This is a good place to eat and hangout. Staff are friendly. If they are not, at least be kind because you never know what they are going through. Food is good, everything went fine. Thank you for your service.

Our server was Jordan J, grand daughter loved our visit helping her self to salad and making her own ice cream creation,food was excellent five different pizzas, a must is the 50/50 to share good deal on2 x bots of san miguel, yes we will return.WELL DONE

Rude staff and very slow, salad bar old salad and poor selection basically half full just spread out. Food was ok but should be for price and portion fairness. We were 2 kids 2 adults we were not aloud to chose where we sat the waitress staff put everyone in crowded booths by the toilets, we asked to sit somewhere else that we would like to chose they said no very rudely and then when we asked why the waitress said they were reserved we were in Pizza Hut for over an hour (because of slow service) and no one came to the “reserved” tables so that leads me to believe it was a lie and easier to just cram everyone in one space it was noisy and uncomfortable, also the restaurant was not busy there was maybe 4 other tables and 3 members of wait staff ..just apauling really such a shame me and my family wanted a nice meal out together and it was awful

We didn't know what to expect. I don't usually go for pizza, but my daughter likes them. The pizzas were excellent, and the staff very helpful. The food, and salads were great. No complaints there. The toilets were found to be clean, and small free.

Very rarely go to this type of fast food establishment, but it was fine - when your expectations are low, I suppose. Our food was , nothing to complain about. I thought it a bit pricey though. Would go again, but not for a while.

we visit pizza hut for our childrens birthdays... but never again. food is overpriced and nothing special. On arrival we waited a good 5 minutes for a,member of staff to acknowledge we were there. We had the new mozzarella dough balls to start which came in a nasty plastic basket with a packet of garlic mayo dip.. over priced at £5 .

Rude staff! It was my nephews birthday and he wanted a big booth we went to sit there and were told to wait to be seated ..WHY?! It’s not busy !! There was like no people, the younge waitress said it’s reserved ? There were no reserve signs and when we left an hour later no one had sat there so why Pizza Hut? I’m taking this further because it was such an unfair experience. Food was ok and salad bar was discusting!! So unhigenic and waitress’s really didn’t look or smell higenic, really really bad experience in Barnstaple Pizza Hut

I must say I’m not a frequent visitor of fast food restaurants but we were very hungry and passing so thought we’d give it a try. We were greeted by a very friendly lady who showed us to a table in the main restaurant that was quite busy with families with little kids. We asked if we could sit down at the bottom as there was a table of two on its own and she happily obliged.

Took my 6yo there for lunch as she wanted pizza. The service was fine but the food was really bad.

We arrived after a busy day at work and the kids hungry. Arrived and welcomed with a smile. Throughout the meal we were asked if we were ok, needed anything and each time the staff were amazing. I don't know their names but well done to you all.

Sorry to say but the good ole Pizza Hut is not a shadow of its former self. Went to this one a few months back was truly terrible meal from all angles - cold food, poor service, generally bad all round.

My husband and I went to this Pizza Hut on a Saturday night around 8pm. There appeared to be a couple of youngsters waiting tables and serving, another young lady milling between the kitchen and restaurant and a couple of chefs. The place was not busy but several tables remained dirty and uncleared. My husband had to go to one of the servers after 10 minutes of us being sat and no order taken. Our order was taken and the food was fine, the salad bar was a bit lacking, no onions for example, but the actual food was fine. It's a shame. It looked really unloved and neglected. Barnstaple doesn't have many places to eat of an evening, especially with families and it should be doing better than this.

We all had the £14.99 deal which gave us a starter, main and and endless drink. Pizza was fresh chicken starters tasty, garlic bread just right. Salad bar was being restocked constantly. Staff polite and friendly.

Food very mediocre, manager looked a real state and had terrible personal hygiene. Banging and crashing coming from the kitchen. The salad bar looked like a dogs dinner. Only highlights would be the drink as much as you like coke and free parking

Vinimos aquí para una comida barata como nos gusta la pizza cerca de Bristol cabañas Disfrutamos de las alas de pollo y la pizza, pero no para una pizza vegetariana setas es bastante mala a las 7. 30 horas de la tarde. El servicio era bueno y había muchas mesas incluso en este sábado por la noche y se puede ver por qué: La perspectiva - si quieres mirar un aparcamiento y varios minoristas. La factura se eleva cada vez que vamos a Pizza Hut. No hace mucho, pudimos conseguir un entrante compartido, una pizza compartida, ensalada bowl y todas se puede beber Pepsi max por menos de 20 libras. Ahora que han quitado la pizza tamaño, necesitamos compartir una casa grande y traer algunos para un re-almuerzo climatizada día siguiente y la cuenta es de más de 28 libras si tenemos incluso dos coberturas en la pizza. Supongo que la respuesta es dejar el plato y comer todas las pizzas, pero que todavía no trae a £20 bt traerá a menos de £25 y para 2017, que no está mal.

Visitó en el 02 / 06 / 2017 con mi madre. Es comprensible, así semestre ajetreado - que estaba bien con nosotros. Una camarera amable (no su nombre pero ella era rubio) dijeron que había una espera de quince minutos por una mesa. Decidimos ir y volver en un par de minutos. Al volver, nos acomodaron enseguida- y nos dijeron que alguien le venga a tomar nuestro pedido. Aquí es donde las cosas comenzaron a llegar decepcionante. Otros dos grupos estábamos sentados después de nosotros, pero que tenía su primera orden tomado en hacernos sentir como si nos habían olvidado. Cuando finalmente nos pidió, tuvimos la barra de buffet y un lado de patatas fritas. Por desgracia, las patatas fritas nunca apareció en nuestra mesa. El camarero (Sam, creo), se disculpó y ofreció postre gratis, aunque no queríamos era compensación agradable. La pizza era bonito, pero parecía que había pimientos calientes en todo - me pregunta si iban fuera de fecha y necesitaba usar. Además, el bar de ensaladas frescas (que normalmente es increíble) era deficiente. La única salida era ensalada de tomate y cebollas, cumber - junto con la pasta y nachos. Entiendo que fue ocupado, siendo la mitad de plazo, pero aún así dejó sensación incómodo con nuestra visita.

En ambas ocasiones uno de las pizzas ha sido olvidado por la cocina que sale de una persona esperando para comer y la sensación incómoda sobre otros sin ellos! empezando Debido al aire acondicionado soplaba aire frío, las pizzas no estancia caliente por mucho tiempo, por lo que deben ser consumidos rápidamente.

Nunca he tenido ningún motivo para escribir una crítica tan negativa, pero esta sucursal de una cadena que normalmente en razonable respecto, era el peor que he visitado. La increíblemente pobre servicio comenzó siendo hechas para sentarse en una mesa pequeña a pesar de que el restaurante estaba medio vacío. Cuando pregunté a sentarse una mesa más grande nos preguntaron "hay sólo 2 de ustedes". Tuvimos que esperar un 15 minutos antes de la comida y bebidas pedir. El batido mi esposa era tan aguado fue terrible, por suerte, la comida estaba bien. Cuando habíamos terminado nos tuvimos que esperar tanto para ser reconocida, que al final fui al grupo de personal hablar en la entrada y pidieron a mí. Claramente, servicio al cliente, es un arte perdido en este restaurante en particular.

Came here with my boyfriend last week and we arrived at about 2pm, there were two or three other tables in the restaurant so we had a choice of where to sit. After looking at menus out drinks order was taken and 5 minutes later our food order was taken. We ordered a sharer pizza and some garlic fingers, our food came about 15 minutes later and it was really good, we finished after about 15/20 minutes but unfortunately it took another 15 minutes for us to actually be noticed. It was quiet in the restaurant at that point so we were a bit confused as to what was taking so long, it was almost like we had been forgotten. When we finally got our mains taken away we ordered one small hot cookie dough dessert with toffee sauce and salted caramel ice cream, that took about 10 minutes to arrive and was absolutely lovely although incredibly sweet and sickly. I would order that again though! It again took another 10/15 minutes for our plates to be taken and after that it was 5 minutes for our bill to be brought to us, the waitress told us she would give us a few minutes to sort it out and returned another 10 minutes later. All in all it was a wonderful meal but the service was just so bloody slow which we couldn't understand because it just wasn't busy there.

Children were running around shouting and screaming with nothing being done by parents to supervise them, or by staff to speak to parents.Whatever happened to teaching children table manners? The food element of the meal was good but the and mayhem caused by the children made this a place to avoid'''unlrss of course you posses one of these little horrors of your own.

So...we visited here today and what can I say...total waste of money, time and patience. We waited to be seated and we were taken to a booth, that's fine. We were told that Chris was our server and he would be with us soon...Chris must have got lost, or judging by his shirt when he finally arrived, had just returned from an all night bender with the lads. Anyway, we ordered cheesy garlic bread to start, whilst we were waiting I could feel the onset of winter flu due to the need to cyrogenically freeze the customers. I made an observation whilst waiting, it's great to see the good being prepared...ribs coming out of a blue packet onto a plate, bit of green stuff added and BOOM there's a meal worth £20...also I never knew that you could get garlic butter in a spray can. The garlic bread arrived and it was...warm...soggy...pretty disgusting. Could it get any worse...? YUP!! Along came my "philly cheese steak pizza" it landed on the table...wow...I didn't recall ordering a pepper and kebab meat pizza...it was disgusting. There was NO trace of steak. It was doner meat. I had sudden flash backs of a greasy kebab fueled night walking home and instantly tasted vomit. Time to stop eating and leave. Disgusting.

The whole family really like Pizza Hut food. But we have always been fed up with the service at this restaurant. We have complained before and its never got any better But today is the most unbelievable experience ever. Although they are not busy at 19.10, they had not cleaned the tables. Their answer was to advise us to wait in the takeaway area or outside!! 10 minutes later we get a table. Lets hope the rest of the service is better.

Visited as a party of seven on a Tuesday lunchtime and enjoyed the buffet that was on offer. Great range to choose from. Only thing I would stay is service could have been better, staff did not seem like they wanted to be there.

Pizza hut is okay, but you have to wait, often getting the order wrong, always a lack of staff, lovely Pizzas thro, & great Salad, only when the kids have not made a complete mess everywhere, and put there hands in the sauces. I wish they would chop the salad vegetables more smaller, always massive chunks or cucumber, Peppers and onions etc. They service could be n=better, but they are so short staffed all the time.

No words, just eat good pizzas and buffet amazing , all personal is amazing, everything clean, was especially dinner with my family

Went with family and had the lunch time meal deal. We all had a lovely time. Great service - the staff couldn't be helpful enough.

Takeaway pizzas have never issapointed with some good daily deals but would never eat in again. Sticky tables and the service was dreadful. Pizza's eating in weren't very good, didnt seem very recently cooked.

We had a short wait to be seated and then told we'd have to wait around 20 mins to be served, we were in no rush and being told in advance it was our choice to wait and wasn't a problem. Food was yummy, good waitress service. VERY busy and due to this it took some time to order dessert and nearby tables were left uncleared for some time which is never nice to see whilst eating. However, overall a good experience and I'm sure during quieter times there are cleaner tables and faster service times!

weve gone here several times as a family for birthdays etc! Since the new manageress took over there has been a massive improvement! It's had a face lift recently too! The staff are polite, friendly and hardworking! The salad bar is great, fresh and good range of choice, salad fruit cous cous and pasta etc ( I often just have the salad )The new menu provides something for all tastes and the unlimited drinks and ice cream go down well

A party of 5 of us turned up and asked for a table. Luckily it was virtually empty but the waitress said she had to check if there was room... We could clearly spot at least 8 empty tables. On the way to the table we noticed the other floor staff on their phones. Waitress was nice and order went well. However when the pizzas turned up two of our group ordered an individual of the same flavour. The waitress brought everyone else's then gave them a large between them and informed us that they had run out of the individual chicken pizzas. It would have been much more courteous to inform us previously incase we weren't happy. Food was as one would expect. Once again when we came to finish our meal the waitress started clearing our plates even though not everyone had finished clearing. Basic waitressing protocol is to wait till the whole table has finished. When we went to pay they tried charging us for the two individual pizzas rather than the large pizza which was 1.6 times the area of an individual. However they sorted this out. One other inconvenience was the shouting and screaming and inconvenient and plainly childish noises coming from the kitchen. In all not as fun as when we were kids.

La semana pasada fui con un amigo a Barnstaple y visitamos el local.Nos sorprendió bastante ya que nos recibió un chico muy amable de manera rápida y correcta.Somos españoles y la diferencia de precios entre nuestro país y este es notable. Escogimos el menú buffet de pizzas, pastas y ensaladas y bebidas ilimitadas, por tan solo 10,10 pounds/persona . Las pizzas estaban muy buenas y teníamos diferentes tipos de refrescos de máquina para recargar ilimitadamente. La pasta dejaba un poco que desear y en cuanto a las ensaladas había mas variedad. También había patatas para dippear con diferentes salsas. La verdad que no está nada mal y como dije al principio del comentario, muchas gracias al chico, Sam creo recordar que se llamaba,que era muy atento y servicial.

Went in ordered food which took ages pizza base was soggy like it was wet put us off going in again was also told that they stopped doing take away wedges so overall poor sorry guys

We attempted to take our 2 very hungry children here in December. We arrived and queued up for ages. When we got to the front of the queue we were asked if we had booked, I replied no because I had been here before and had never had to book! She replied rudely that things had obviously changed! She said that there might be tables available in 1.5 hours, ok I replied, I'll book one. Oh no she replied, you can't book one!!!!!!!!!! What on earth????? Avoid!!!

My sons birthday was December 22nd he was 11 and wanted to go there for a treat.I left feeling very disappointed for him! 7 of us went and on ordering everything we chose was out of stock,including nachos on the salad bar which is my sons most favourite thing! So we all had to make do and the bill was as I knew would be very large but wouldn't have minded if we had all eaten what we would have liked to eat,no nachos,sweet corn,stuffed crust,Fanta,Budweiser sweets for the ice cream factory.....quite shocking,management is clearly lacking how can you not have enough food for a restaurant? Surely it's part of management job to always keep track of stock,very disappointing

Popped in for a late lunch and opted for £6.99 buffet deal. Took forever to get waitress to take order, though she did apologise. The salad bar was a state with sticky, dirty utensils and dirty bowls. The pizza/pasta buffet had no pasta as had ran out of it. The pizza was warm/stale and tasteless. The Pepsi/drinks station was a mess and the fizzy drinks heavily watered down as couldn't detect cherry flavour on Pepsi max cherry. Considering it wasn't particularly busy the restaurant was a bit of a shambles that's very poorly run by management who clearly don't care about anything but the bottom line not customer experience and good food. Think twice before you go here as one of the very poorest Pizza Huts we have been to.

Ok i admit i am not a pizza fan overpriced pap but granddaughter and her friends love it so always indulge them . Now with kids the staff are brill and they are the vips so great for families. Bit pricey mind

We visited a group of 4 adults, 2 children and a baby. I had to speak to 3 different people to book a table, which was a little frustrating. We were allowed to take advantage of the buffet special deal which usually ends at 3pm, although we arrived at just before 3pm. The buffet was very good value for money at £6.99, as were the children's meals at £4.99. Visits to the Salad Bar are also included, and visits to the ice cream factory for the children. We all enjoyed our meal and at very reasonable price.

Don't like being ignored or being spoken to as if I were a child.Requested to speak to manager he didn't listen. IS this the way to retain local people's custom.

My son and I had a nice meal in this Pizza hut, food was good and the new milkshakes were awesome, apart from they run out of bananas (never understand running out of things like that when a supermarket is always close)My only complaint about the place was the salad bar. You now get the bowls from under the salad counter and I went through 5 before I found a clean one! When the bowls are served to you the server has a chance to spot a dirty dish and this is obviously not being checked prior to stacking in the salad bar.The staff were friendly and the service was good so all in all very close to spot on.

Last visited 6 months ago was not good, echoes other reviews on here. Just returned in a group, what a difference! Staff were happy, friendly the place had a real buzz.Food was good, salad bar was great. Not sure what's happened in this restaurant but whatever it is I hope they keep it up!

Ate here Sat evening, no reservation but able to be seated quickly. Service was a little slow but ok. Pizzas were ok but nothing special. Salad bar was empty on a few things. Not sure I'd go again.

Last night 19/08/15 decided to go to Pizza Hut with 2 friends, expecting it to be as nice as the one in Plymouth I visited the week before. It was busier than usual, but overall still only about 5 tables in. We stood waiting to be seated, it took 5 minutes for anyone to seat us, as soon as we walked in 3 waitresses walked past us and looked at us. Finally when we were being seated the waitress STILL had to wipe the table down and get cutlery. It was a sh&thole in there, about 5 or 6 tables were messy and dirty with dishes everywhere- Not a good look, we were close to going somewhere else.The waitress gave us dirty cutlery, and only 2 knives instead of 3. I watched one waitress sweeping the floor whilst there were still loads of tables covered in dirty dishes that we could see. When our waitress took our order, she then done her own thing and I didn't get my drink until the food arrived. And still then, I had to remind her- it should be the first thing you do once you get the order- we also had to remind her of a starter we ordered, that she hadn't even put through to the kitchen because she went onto the till and put it on then we had to wait longer. She was the most useless person ever. Not impressed, didn't want to pay at all, won't be going to the Pizza Hut in Barnstaple anymore.You look around and them working and you can tell they are all clueless. It's not difficult, I am a waitress myself. No common sense. Management has always been sh&t at that place. Overpriced bland tasting pizza. Fu&k off am I paying 18 pounds for a pizza from there again. My friend told me her pizza tasted like fish- She felt ill after we had finished.

Wanted a quick pizza before we went to the cinema. We ordered two pizzas both different in crust and toppings. The waitress bought over a stand and set it up she then put a pizza on it and explained that there had been a mix up in the kitchen and only one pizza had been made with half of the other toppings on it . It would of been better if the waitress had come to us first and explained the situation before plonking the pizza in front of us which made us feel like we had to say yes to having the pizza as we were in a rush. They did not offer us any free drinks or desserts with out meal and the pizza was cold as you could tell they had been wondering what to do after making a mistake. I did say to the manager when we had left that we were not pleased but seeing the other reviews are quite bad on here nothings changed so won't be visiting again.

I have thought hard about writing a very negative review, but having been given food poisoning by Pizza Hut in Barnstaple and found that the company is in denial that there are any problems, I need to warn others that it is something of a lottery to eat here.I was greeted upon arrival to be told that they did not have any vegetables at all, but since I was tired and hungry I said that I would find something on the menu. In fact I then had a really strange concoction of a meal. I thought it was quite comical at the time, but when I woke at 3 am and started to feel nauseous and light headed I realised that something was not right. You do not need the full details of the following day but suffice to say I really did not feel good for at least 48 hours afterwards.I have reported the incident to environmental health and if anybody else out there has had the same kind of problems with Pizza Hut Barnstaple then I urge you to do the same so that they can build a picture of what is happening - and will continue to happen until the company admits they have a problem and do something about it.

After visiting Pizza Hut several times I had high expectations.. Not this time! I was absolutely appalled. The service was shocking and unacceptable! The waitress that brought our food out did not have a clue what pizza's they were and was quite rude. However, she did apologise on more than one occasion but we were made to look stupid. I Ordered a thin crust pizza which tasted like cardboard with hardly any cheese or tomato on. They had also ran out of mushrooms. When we were paying a different waitress assumed we didn't want our change which was over £5. Overall for over £25 I was very disappointed and this experience has put me off ever going to a Pizza Hut again.

Went on a quiet Sunday night, only about 8 others in and the two waitresses were hopeless. Both waitresses were shouting across the restaurant to each other. the pizza was ok but lacked any sort of flavour. Ran out of mushroom(tesco 100meters away) Two pizzas and two soft drinks came to 25.40. Paid with £30 cash and she had the cheek to ask if we wanted our change! Never going back to Pizza Hut. Stock to pizza express or dominoes.

Went here for a meal with my boyfriend on a Tuesday and genuinely had a lovely time. Food was fabulous at a very high quality and the staff were extremely friendly. Highly recommend :-)

The buffett is 6.99 but you shall be charged £25 and not £14 me and my m8 was charged £50 got totally ripped off so if u ever think of goinf to Pizza Hut pay them the 6.99 as advertized 1st.I'll repost my experience my m8's b-day I went out for lunch to our local Pizza Hut yesterday and we decided to get the buffet offer for £6.99, which we had saw on a sign as we walked in, we was shown to our seats and given a menu, before we had chance to look at the menu we was asked if we would like the buffet, seeing as we saw the sign outside saying it was £6.99 and was given no time to look at the menu, we said yes. We was told where to go to get our drinks from and to help ourselves, after getting our drinks and having a bowl of dry salad and finger infested pizza, we went to the Ice cream section and helped ourselves as this is what everyone seemed to be doing, and we was told no different. When the bill came, we was shocked to see the overall meal came to £25, instead of the £14 we was expecting! We was then told it was because we had had ice cream and also drinks wearnt included in the offer!! What we thought was a bargin clearly wasn't! And we may have known this if we was given even a minute with he menu without them being taken off of us and told to go help ourselves! I feel like this is a con and should be labeled on the sign that it is only the pizza and dry salad bar that is included in the buffet! I am not happy with my experience and may consider going somewhere else next time!

Food was a ok, pizzas delicious and popcorn shrimp very nice. Restaurant desperately in need of a thorough clean! Floor grubby and in need of a mop, table needed a wipe. Previous reviews along these lines are fair. Watching some of the wildlife in the bushes just outside the window was interesting!

I went to Pizza Hut on a Friday with my 2 older children. Between us we had a starter and 3 pizzas. One margarita that was palatable and 2 BBQ chicken that were possibly the worst things ever eaten by man. Dry as sticks, burnt underneath to a crisp. The bases resembled giant tortilla chips. Both pizzas had about 10 minute pieces of chicken and virtually no BBQ sauce to talk off. Also sadly lacking in cheese literally made us feel that we were eating tasteless cardboard. My son left his, which is unheard of, though I forced mine down as I had driven 6 hours that day and had had nothing to eat all day. My son was up most of the night with stomach pains and was poorly well into the next day. The salad bar in fairness was standard for Pizza Hut and the service was ok. The average age of the staff was about 18, by the look of it and this may be the reason. All in all this was an awful experience and I will never set foot in a Pizza Hut again.

I've never been convinced by Pizza Hut, been in a few of there restaurants in different countries around the world, and for what you pay you never get much. I was however pleased to hear they were opening in my home town, but the first time I attended (approx 10 years ago) seems to sum up alot of people's experience ever since. I was after takeaway, so waited in the foyer by the hatch, the lady behind the counter was busy doing something, so I politely waited, this lasted for about 5 minutes (I was young and too polite) at which point an old guy walked in, stood next to me and was immediately served by this lady, I piped up complaining, but was told to wait whilst she served the new customer. So anyway I finally get a pizza and open it up at home and guess what.... It's the wrong pizza. I have been back since and experienced more poor service and pizza, the buffet is now the only reason I would go back, of which I would say was good value, free drink refills aswell. Dominos or local pizza places are much better.

this was my first ever visit to a pizza hut and the best bit was the lovely waitress Amy H she was very friendly ,kind, helpfully and explained the offers even the beer offer , but the pizza itself was disappointing as i had cheese and onion very mean with the onions which they charge extra for!!!!!!!

When we left , my kids told me I was v embarrassing as the waitress had asked me if everything had been ok and I bothered to tell her why not. All the plates and cutlery was dirty and the service was totally non existent . Every table was piled with empty dishes because no one was clearing. I was disappointed they hadn't tried to charge me service so I couldn't make a point of taking it off.The kids pizzas are barely bigger than a biscuit .A really poor experience. Avoid.

I visted here with my m8 for his birthday we had pizza and ice cream they charged us £50 for 1 lousy pizza and 2 bowls for ice cream and toppings.£25 quid a person FFS This place can go and go stuff themselves, total con, total rip off never will I use "Pizza Hut" again in my life.

My sister and I decided to eat here as we were passing and wanted to eat. First impressions were there were about 3 tables loaded with dirty plates and glasses. We were however, approached by a polite waitress who said she would clear a table for us and did so, quickly. We were served our food quite quickly The salad bar could have been better stocked though. All the staff were young and I think were working hard. They were all polite and I think its a down to management that the staff were struggling. Apparently one staff nember had called in sick and another staff member had called in for his wage slip and all credit to.him, ended up working the shift. He was really polite and at obe point looked at the tables loaded with dirty plates and said I dont know where to start- there is so much to clear away. Abd there were two more tables just as bad. As a suggestion, there should be more staff as he did say Friday wad the busiest day. Also a small trolley would be a good idea to help clear tje tables quicker. Maybe with a slop bucket to clear the plates as they take them away. I think also the staff are vunerable to customers demanding free or heavily discounted food if its very busy as one party were seen complaining they had been given one part of the order incorrectly so yhat was given free PLUS 50% off the rest of the food.I dony think this would have happened if there wete more staff and better management. The staff that WERE there were very hard working and polite. Its just a shame that they were not supported by good management Well done to the staff in the circumstances

Prepare to vomit, its got to be one of the worst if not the worst Pizza Hut in the UK. We have used the pizza hut just off the M6 at Darlaston, Birmingham before and been more than satisfied with the food and service, so we didn't hesitate to go the the one in Barnstaple. Very bad mistake! waited 10 minuets to be greeted and seated by a child, to be honest the place was run by Children the cook looked no more than 12 and the oldest looked about 16, who said child slavery was dead?? Its alive and kicking here. After being seated and given menus plus 2 minuets to read them, back came the waiter to take our order this was at about 6.30pm on a Sunday evening. We gave our order and told to help ourself to the salad bar. We waited another 10 minuets before our drinks arrived, we were gasping after a long drive. We went to the Salad bar, it was either dry and limp or had died, even the kiss of life couldn't help here. The pickled Beetroot was a very strange colour and had smelt strange. So many pasta dishes had a dried crust on them even choosing anything edible was almost impossible. So after a wait of 20 minuets we were told that they had run out of the starter we had ordered and would we except something else, we said yes. When our starters did arrive it was the original order, now very confused, as we tucked in some of the order was freezing cold with bits of ICE in it so we left it and low and behold more starters came to make up for what we didn't have. But at least this was hot. The pizza arrive before we had finished our starters by now we were getting very annoyed with the service as well as the food. Now with the staff bringing more and more food that we didn't order ie fries, onion rings and garlic bread. with this we decided to get the pizza boxed and leave to eat at home.We asked for the bill, and waited yet again another 10 minuets yeppy it arrived but yet another 15 minuets before payment was excepted. The girl on the desk asked if we had enjoyed our meal ??? Polite answer NO! Don't waste your money here. Keep well clear.Finale word, the Toilets stank of stale URINE didn't seem like they had been cleaned in weeks. VOMIT.

Fancied a Pizza after a long drive so pulled into Pizza Hut by the railway station.We entered, stood around a were eventually shown to a table by a young lad.We ordered a Meat Sharing Platter for two, 2 portions of onion rings and a large Pizza (with our own choice of toppings)We were told to help our selves to the Salad bar. Well it certainly hadn't been refreshed or cleaned in several hours, looked disgusting and food on the floor around it. Certainly none of the salad items were fresh, most cross contaminated and discolored.After waiting a good 15-20 mins our young waiter, came back up to us and informed us the Ribs were out of stock for our platter and instead they could offer us Boneless chicken bites. Reluctantly we agreed, so imagine our surprise when our starter did arrive, they had found some ribs after all. Well, wish they hadn't bothered, because half of the ribs were freezing cold (obviously heated quickly in a microwave), the chicken much the same half hot half cold.Needless to say told them to take it back and told them just to give us our pizza. Our onion rings, for the starter, arrived with our Pizza. Again you wouldn't have called the pizza exactly hot!!Meanwhile they had a staff switch over and within minutes of us finally getting our pizza, having managed to only eat one slice each, a young waitress attempted to clear away our table as we sat!!We had had enough and asked for our pizza to be boxed to be taken away. Well I tried to ask, but getting the attention of anyone in the youth club meeting in the kitchen, proved challenging to say the least. They were paying absolutely no attention to the restaurant or customers.Left totally disgusted with the cleanliness, service, food and attitude. Filled in a feedback on line, but Pizza Hut management obviously care as little as their child staff.Will not be Back!!!

We like the food at Pizza Hut but the service in this particular one is very poor and slow they need a manager in there to keep things running smoothly and give the customer the service they expect. It is a shame at the revamped restaurant is nice. More and more people will avoid this place if the service continues this way.

I took my daughter and her friends for her birthday the service was very slow, it was dirty and grubby an above all the staff were rude and bad mannered..it needs a complete overhaul..will take them to pizza express next time.if it was possible I would have given a 0 for service..so disappointed

Expensive meal for 3 pizzas and 3 drinks £35. Salad bar disgusting, staff young and not attentive, pizzas nice but not worth the money. would never visit a Pizza Hut again.

8 of us enjoyed dinner here. Salad bar could have been better stocked, pizzas were lovely, ice cream good too ( machine wasn't working again though!).All in all a good example of this restaurant chain.

We had a meat feast and pepperoni feast as a take away last night, the first Pizza Hut experience for quite some time. I now remember the reason for this. The staff were very good, friendly and the service was quick. However the two cardboard cut out pizza's we were greeted with when we got home were not quite so impressive. I,m not sure 2.5 slices of pepperoni per pizza slice would be considered a pizza feast. My wife's meat feast was so inadequately covered with ingredients we had to add some from our fridge. Not only did they resemble the pizza I made as an eleven year old in the school home economics class but they held the same level of flavour. We will not be returning again.

Went to Pizza Hut on Sunday with my sister, the atmosphere was lovely, great music playing and it was reasonably quiet which was nice for a change so there was no need to book a table or anything. We waited by the door and a nice young girl seated us in one of the booths. Ordering was simple and the staff were very pleasant, especially a young lad named Jordan who saw to our every need! The staff were very nice and were checking to see if our meal was okay. The meal was nicely presented and the meal was reasonably quick. Really worth a visit if you are in the area and want something a little less formal and well priced :)

We ate at Pizza Hut on Friday evening, 2 adults and 2 children to eat after bowling. Our table was booked for 8.30, and when we arrived at a nearly empty restaurant our table was not ready. We should have taken this as a warning of what was ahead. All the staff were very interested, the garlic bread ordered to eat whist waiting for our food came out with our food, which took nearly an hour, and my fiancé's pepperoni pizza came without the pepperoni. The correct pizza came out when the kids were ready for ice cream, the glass of water that was ordered with other drinks took 20 minutes. What was going to be a nice quick meal took over hour and half, but the biggest let down was the attitude of the staff who looked like they were just clock watching and not carrying out they're job. I wouldn't recommend eating here until the current staff have upped their game.

Came to barnstable while holidaying in combe Martin. Used the facilities while partner was deciding whether to eat her or not. Chose not to. When I came out of the ladies I was confronted by an unwelcoming man with a real aggressive nature. He ask if I was dining to which I replied not at the moment. He was that aggressive when I went to tell my partner what had happened he followed me out shouting at me in the street. What a horrible man!!!!!!

Nicely presented meal, all items that we ordered were available and service was reasonably quick. Well worth another visit next time we are in North devon.

Not a bad service, wife got wrong order which they rectified quickly, and the waitress was clearly new. We had a lovely time though, and the waitress done well :-)Would recommend, but need to sort £ out

Great value for money at £6.99 per person. For this you get unlimited Pizza, Pasta and Salad. Eat till you pop!

A previous visit forced me & my partner to right a complaint leading to us receiving vouchers to use at the Barnstaple Hut, our second visit was just as bad, we were sat for ages clearly waiting to take out order and staff jus walked past us. This resulted to us leaving & never planning on returning to the Barnstaple hut or any other Pizza Hut in the future as they clearly don't care about customer service!

Family lunchtime buffet. Ordered chicken wings as a side and was amazed when they arrived while we were still eating. The buffet was restocked promptly as was the salad bar. The place was not crowded even though it was half term. A great meal and the staff worked hard.

last visited spring bank holiday, no management visible, had to wait 5 mins before anybody even acknowledged us, general attitude was we will serve you when we want to not when you want us to. The restaurant was not busy but staff tried to look busy to avoid working. Ended up telling the waitress just to bring the bill and walked out. I could run that place and make it work well. Will not go back.

Recently decided to give pizza hut a visit and was very pleasantly surprised. Tonia was an exceptional waitress, She offered us a new cajun chicken pizza which was delightful. No wait at all on our drinks or food and the service was first class. We will be back there again for sure.

My family and I arrived at 5 pm to be told by the manager that the early bird meal deal finished at 5 . I said it was 5 & he pointed to the clock and said "1 minute passed...too late " He seemed to relish the fact he was turning me and my party of 4 away. Not good business for a small town restaurant. Shame on you .

You can't beat the hut for value, it's really good for filling them up and to get them eating salad.The staff are normally quite friendly and polite.The place could of been cleaner, there was bread sticks on the floor along with some salad, the salad bar was'nt everso clean nor were the toilets.we enjoyed the food and left full up.

I have only ever been to one other pizza restaurant and although the food there was good this was great!! Service was excellent and we had a very helpful young girl who took our orders with a smile and was very friendly and polite. We helped ourselves to the salad bar and there was plenty to choose from and you could have as little or as much as you wanted all freshly prepared. I chose a seafood pizza and it was simply divine, although i could not quite finish it. As far as value for money is concerned this was second to none, and i would recommend Pizza Hut to everyone.A lovely lunchtime treat
