Pizza Hut in Cambridge

To be honest, I was surprised how good the pizza was. For a chain, pizza hut was never on our list of places to patron. We decided to give it a try as it's not far from us. When we walked in, we were immediately informed that we had to order online and pay online. The place was quite empty, only 3 tables were occupied. We looked up the menu and ordered online. Since there was no service from staff apart from bringing the food to us, we decided we would not leave a tip. We ordered the combo for two persons and helped ourselves to the salad bar. Pizza and drinks were brought to us. Pizza was really good, the ingredients were tasty, and the dough had a wonderful chewy texture. We were happy to give pizza hut a chance and at that point we thought we would come back more frequently. After we finished our pizza and waited 20 mins, desserts were not served. So we asked for our desserts. Included in our meal combo were two desserts. Only one was brought to us. We finished that and waited another 20 mins. There is no sign of the second dessert. So we asked again. The server said there was only one on her record. We showed her our order, she then said they ran out of that dessert and that's why we were not getting it. I had to ask if I could swap to whatever else was available. Waited another 15 mins, still no sign of the second dessert. We chose to walk out and decided never to come back. We absolutely loved the pizza and salad bar, we just cannot bring ourselves back to such a poorly run establishment.

Not a fan of the order by app system, and the fact you have to pay for the food before you even receive it. Then the app has the cheek to ask if you'd like to leave a tip despite doing all the work yourself and still not having received your food. The staff were pleasant enough but the food isn't value for money. Pizza was about the same thickness as a piece of A4 paper and the salad bar is limited. The American design of the place is nice though.

Amazing service and pizza- my normal sized pizza was five minutes late due to an error, and they upgraded me to a share sized pizza! I will be returning.

You get what you pay for. Not gourmet, of course, but in their category they are OK. Good place for kids’ parties.

What a great example of the "Hut" experience, delicious well prepared food, cracking deals and superb service from the friendly, cheerful staff. Our server, Deryn, really went the extra mile to ensure we all got what we wanted and the best of the available deals. The star of the night was the special, G.O.A.T pizza, a big success for the vegetarians. The resistant was clean, empty tables rapidly cleared and cleaned, salad bar well stocked and we didn't feel crowded or rushed. Would go again.

Very disappointed by our recent experience. Went to the restaurant to collect an order, I waited a long time to be greeted, and then waited a long time for food, which spent much of that time sitting on the kitchen side waiting to be brought over to me, but staff were not engaged in doing so. When I eventually got my order, after having to intervene, it was incorrect - when I returned to correct it the staff member I spoke to didn't say anything to me, just went to the kitchen to talk to them about it. They came back and said they were actually out of what I ordered, and basically gave me something similar hoping to pass it off. To their credit they did offer me another side of my choice. Most, but not all, staff seemed nice but we're clearly not working well as a team and some divisions were blatantly obvious to an observing customer. Once my order was rectified and I got home with colder-than-it-should-have-been pizza et al we were very disappointed in the quality of the food; the taste and texture was poor, the pizzas seemed poorly cooked. We have eaten there before without such concerns so this was surprising and disappointing. We understand fast food is gonna be greasy and 'bad' etc, but in a way that should be an enjoyable binge rather than a disappointment.

This comment is more towards the quality of the pizza. The toppings have become more and more sparse and it just about adds some flavour now. Otherwise it feels like you are eating just the bread. I probably won't be ordering from Pizza Hut in the future as it's no longer worth the amount you pay for it. Otherwise the restaurant is in a good location and wheelchair accessible. There is plenty of free parking.

Very neat and tidy place.. Humble staff!

Mostly take god-kids and cousins there when we look after them as the buffet let's everyone have what they want and everyone likes it. Good price mostly self service, scan the barcode at table order and pay but if you do need anything then the staff are attentive and helpful. Can be a bit noisy when full of kids but hey I'm grumpy and old so what do you expect 👍

They didn't have any soft drinks apart from sparkling water, also no mayo or Ketchup left. Staff were doing the best they could, but no manager in sight to sort things out.

Used to love Pizza Hut but now its poorly staffed because they've introduced an order by app-only system. Fine if it was an easy app but its full of deal options. My create my own was way down a list. I selected something for my hubby and its "you can get a better deal if you select this". Then apply the deal automatically and let me get on withy life. Im tired. Im hungry. I deal with computers and people all day and all i want is someone to take my order so i can relax. In the end we left. The poor waitress was clearly upset and none of this was her fault..its pizza hut's new business model to save money. But its crap for the staff and crap for the customer. Tues evening in summer holidays and the place was dead. Should have told me all i need to know. Went to Pizza Express.

Super friendly and useful staff. Came over multiple times and happily answered a question when I came up to them. They noticed I misordered on the app (ordered 4 bottomless items for 3 people) and they helped us change our order after the fact! This was an issue that when it arrived I probably would have lived with as my mistake but the fact it was sorted in such a polite and swift manor was amazing. Also my friend said "it was the best pizza I have ever had"

I like GF pizza. Price is ok for me. They dont accept cash.And this year, i have visited again.For me, gluten free pizza was very good. Better than others.

Good food but ordered deserts and had to wait a good half hour to get them. Decent service but staff could have been more polite. Overall good, but keep in mind the semi-decent service.

Watching the driver on the tracker, the driver too a route to my home that was 2-3 longer than what could have been done. As a result, the food arrived cold. Onion rings was cold, and the pizza, along with having almost no heat, had been completely mashed up in the journey.

Deryn for us was the star of the show however the food was very fresh and hot. We will come back soon if the service is always like this.

No a bad place to bring the kids, relatively cheap and love the ice cream factory, the reason I gave it a lower score was all the other food came out but then 15 minutes later my 6-year-old daughters came out so she was set at the table not eating. Admittedly she was gluten free but still this went down in my estimations.

The table wasnt cleaned from the last custpmers eating The cutlery is filthy, I asked for another knife and fork and the staff took another set put of a pot of filthy water that other cutely was in. Whilst I was in there I asked for some napkins because I had a cold, then whilst I was in the middle of my food the same staff member came over to my table and I kid you not, his words were "Would you like some more napkins to blow your nose on".....whilst I was EATING MY FOOD. The level of hygiene is unacceptable considering there was loads of staff and it wasn't busy at all, it doesn't take 10 seconds to.spray and wipe a table over, or show the customer to another table that is clean. I left half my pizza and walked out. And the pizza was less than mediocre. You need to wipe your feet on the way out so not to dirty the pavement. The place is disgusting.

Came at 1630 on a Wednesday and was surprised to find it so quiet, was nice like that though. The food was served super quick, was really tasty and very enjoyable. And even better , both my girls enjoyed it too. Will be back again soon

Worst pizza i have ever had no wonder these huts are slowly closing. Ordered extra cheese on my pizza when it turned up they was very little to no cheese on it. Very expensive and they dont take cash. To confuse you you have to order online via their app. Ok for me but my elderly guests really struggled with this. I will never return to one of these pizza places and would recomend to avoid. Reaaly disapointing experience and very costly... nearly £20 for a cheeseless pizza.. no thanks Could understand if they was busy but the place was empty. Sorry just not good enough.

I had been in a PIzza Hut years ago in the US and forgot all about the buffet option until I was reminded today while looking at the menu. Great pizza options, good pasta and pretty good salad. Great experience.

We loved going here before we had kids. We went for a date night. Was dissatisfied with it all first ran out of pizza bases that we wanted then the starter never came... Well not till we had finished our main. Only good thing was my company...

Not great at all wouldn't return. 6 people put on a table only suitable for 4 we had to ask for a larger table. Food was naff super market pizzas would be much better. Definitely wouldn't return.

Really poor service seem very short of staff waiting time was very long we ordered cookie dough and was told they have no ice cream it had run out how ever while waiting in the takeaway area we saw staff serving another cookie dough for another customer had got ice cream with there cookie dough We then mentioned this to a member of staff and he said he was on his break and won’t be able to help us and is gonna ask his colleagues and was told there was none left but my partner mentioned it to him after we saw it was told it would melt that’s why carnt have any ice cream from the tub considering that we have paid for a cookie dough with no ice cream This is quite a shocking level of customer service from this Pizza Hut branch considering I have gotten better service in another branches of Pizza Hut also the portion size of the cookie dough was very small compared to the few branches I have tried in london

Not the pizza hut, I once knew and liked, I was use to having, nice lush thick toppings cooked to perfection. Far from it. The garlic bread was dry over cooked burnt. The only thing that made it even Half edible was the small amount of cheese. The pizza was not much better.Over done. Slightly dry not much tastier. I will not be returning... And for it all the price was £16.00, Buy a frozen one next time cheaper and better. ( should of taken the bread back.) But you think twice when doing that incase they do something else. ! .. They employ untrained microwave operators And students who can put food under the grill, Poorly aswell, Next time pizza hut Bring in chefs or people who can do the job, We pay good money for what's on the menu. Not the rubbish your sending out...... .

First of all cash isn't accepted and its all card only which should not be the case when cash tips to staff are able to be made ... your either cashless or you are not . Prices differed from QR to the menu and the salad cart was the worst salad I have EVER experienced , it was all sloppy like all the salad was frozen and left to defrost in the trays . It had no crunch and was fully soggy ! The toilets smelt terrible in the women's like blocked drains or full bins ... either way disgusting. The service was OK, but considering you use a QR to order its impossible to really know what the service is like . We used a taste card and good job because I would have been completely dissatisfied if I had paid full price ... I won't be going to pizza hut again .

Nothing much special about these pizzas for the prices charged here uk. The staff are amazing, polite and helpful. The no cash payment and try do all with an app sucks. Pizza hut, if you want to save money in employment, you should charge less to a customer! Charge 19 pounds for bread doh and some toppings It's wrong. Adding labels on everything would make it easier.

We tried the buffet on weekday, which cost around 11. For the price, it is ok. But the variety of pizza in buffet is limited.

Absolutely overpriced underwhelming food, staff behind the bar looking like he’s running a car boot sale stall rather than looking like a staff member of Pizza Hut, won’t be going again, much better places to spend my money and I’m sure I’ll enjoy it more than this bang average Pizza Hut

Very quick service with a smile there was a party of people near us that were noisy but nothing was said by staff to just to maybe tell them to keep it down but overall I've always enjoyed the food here

Not sure about having to order on a phone. The interaction of ppl is missing and when we go out to eat, should we really be doing the waiter's job for them? Surprised we don't have to get up to collect the food too.

The no cheese at all pizza! Visited here Friday lunchtime, the buffet actually means standing and waiting for pizza because they don't cook it fast enough, there is virtually no cheese on the pizza, see attached picture, as is plain to see the slice of pepperoni is really just bread with two of the thin as possible(slices of pepperoni. Rip off.

Absolutely awful. Nothing was hot despite this being a ten minute from my house. Chips were undercooked and the pizza looked like it was hobbled together from other pizzas and tasted like it was the old stale leftovers

Food arrived quickly, and 41% January discount was greatly appreciated. Food was all to a very high standard. Sides and drinks arrived well before pizza, meaning we didn't have to feel hungry whilst waiting for our main.

Love a buffet, especially with pizza! When there was a period with no pizza, they staff were quick to replenish the food. Salad bar well stocked and a good selection. We'll priced and good value for money and good selection of pizza for everyone's taste.

We had booked a table online and when they opened the door a few minutes late, they didn’t have our booking. I showed the waitress my confirmation email and she didn’t understand or seem to care. Luckily it was quiet so we got our table. Awful system of having to order online, no cash accepted. This may prove frustrating for the less tech savvy or if reception isn’t good on your phone. So ordered 3 buffets, 2 with ice cream as we knew we would be too full for a bowl each after pizza. So planned to share. Pizza wasn’t out when we entered and the food in the salad bar looked old. There were “bits” in the sauces, obviously food that was being re-used which is never good. Pizza was nice once it was put out. Then we got our 2 ice creams and asked for an extra spoon. A few minutes later a waitress came to us and said that we weren’t allowed to eat out of the same bowl!!!!! I was appalled. I was simply having a taste of my husbands ice cream. It’s an all you can eat buffet and a family restaurant, and despite there being loads of ice cream left in the bowl, we apparently weren’t allowed to share it! Absolute joke! We won’t be returning. Over £50 for pizza, an old looking salad bar and then to be told we can’t share ice cream. We won’t be returning, and Pizza Hut seriously need to be be looking at the crazy rules they have in place and work on improving their customer service!

Nice friendly staff with a professional approach to the job. Extra special praise for Courtney who was very busy attending to customers whilst keeping the customer area spotlessly clean. She has a nice smile and is very confident with the customers. As a male, not appearing to be sexist, I found her very pleasing on the eye, too. Overall a very pleasant eating experience. Highly recommended.

Long time since we visited a pizza hut. Kids menu fine. Shared a vegetarian pizza with my wife. Very nearly £30 for a pizza that had no taste at all. Not good

We walked out!, surly server everything ordered via QR code and for three pizzas and two sides £80 so we left and ordered Dominoes when we got home. No wonder the restaurant was empty!

I love Pizza Hut. I particularly like deep pan base pizzas. When this one arrived it was flat in the middle and LITERALLY cold. Also, I paid for a drizzle sauce which was not included. Truly abysmal service smacks of a store that literally couldn’t care less about the customer. Rider was a lovely bloke though.

Family 4 ordered take away Pizza, chicken wings, garlic bread and desserts at the restaurant. We were greeted by a wonderful member of staff who attentively took our order and the food was freshly prepared whilst we had a short wait. The restaurant was very well presented and clean with the staff paying attention to each customer making us wish we had eaten in, definitely next time. Our food was piping hot, it was well cooked and presented. Every bit of it was delicious and we could tell it had been freshly made. Thank you Pizza Hut we will be back to this one!

It was a good experience and the food was nice

It's Pizza Hut. You order via the app which is OK as long as your phone service is working (not sure if there's WiFi which would make it better) The salad bar isn't exceptional but that's not what people tend to go for anyway. Pizza's are ok but still lack a bit of flavour.

If you have meerkat meals for the discount then this is a fine restaurant! I love the free salad bar and ordering on the app was quick and easy!

Look, reading the previous reviews I don't think you should be worried about the quality and cleanliness of this place. We got there for right on 1130 am and found the food delicious and fresh. My issue is everything is via QR code and if you're not tech savvy like myself or of the older generation then it makes things very difficult, It was poorly explained to us and took us some time to figure this out. Pizzas, pasta, drink and Ice cream machines were working and toilets were clean as well. I wouldn't have any issues recommending this place to people d=so enjoy the buffet for 16 quid each and eats till your bellies content and busting out of your pants.

I arrived at around 1pm. The place was about half full. I was eating alone, as I was out at the retail park and fancied a treat! I entered and was told there would be a 15 minute wait. Of the three seating areas, 1 was entirely empty, and of the other two I counted 3 empty tables for 2, 3 empty tables for three, and two booths empty. The reason given was that 'the kitchen was busy'. I could see the buffet table. There were 7 pizzas out, each still over half complete, and no one was making use of the full salad bar. So, if you are coming here, expect to be standing around waiting looking at empty tables and uneaten pizza available. There was a single server on for the entire restaurant. So, whilst the food was good, as you'd expect, the service was just awful.

We are not in covid times anymore. It’s just laziness to not take orders or payments at the tables now. To make people order and pay via an app as soon as they sit down is ridiculous. What if a customer wasn’t tech savvy they wouldn’t know what to do. Bottomless drinks machine wasn’t working so had to pay more money and buy a drink separately instead of what would have been included in the buffet.

Not great customer service , no one friendly or helpful . Food was alright but it's overpriced for what it is as a fast food restaurant. Mayo had bits in it from other parts of salad bar

Very pricey pizza. Not justificable.

Awful service. I don't like writing bad reviews but I was unhappy after my experience. I returned to Pizza Hut after 2 years and regretted spending over 120 pounds here this evening. Deserts came very late and in batches after having to ask for the missing ones repeatedly. The people serving us didn't even have the courtesy to apologise for the delays. Generally a shambolic display of service, it feels like the place is run by amateurs who don't have customer experience anywhere on their radar. The Pizza was nice, but it's not worth the time and the cost, I won't be returning.

“I recently had a disappointing encounter at this Pizza Hut location, When I arrived to pick up an order for delivery, the staff member asked me to mark the order as completed. After doing so, she refused to give me the food. I found her behavior to be extremely rude and unprofessional. It’s important for restaurant staff to listen to customers and provide the service they expect. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen in this case, and it left a negative impression. I hope the management addresses these issues to ensure a better experience for future customers.”

The decor, service, range of options, cleanliness and food

When sitting & eating inside of the restaurant the pizza is spot on! But when ordering for a collection/takeaway it’s as though the standards of care and effort go down hill! I love a cheesy pizza and it’s as though the cheese disappeared on this pizza I collected from the restaurant! Was quite disappointed :(

Buffet pizza is basic margarita, margarita with mushroom, margarita with jalapeño all lightly scattered on top, peppers and mushroom or pepperarami No chicken, no beef, no bbq etc. I paid for 3 unlimited drinks and got 2 glasses when I requested the 3rd I had to wait till the manager checked my order as if I am going to spend £50 plus on food and try and get a £3.50 drink via stealing I would not return to that particular outlet

Only had takeaway from here so far but the staff have always been very polite and the food has been piping hot and on time for collection. The pizzas are really nice and cooked perfectly.

First time on a open/fully functioning restaurant where they didn't even care to remove chairs out of the tables.

Can't comment about the restaurant, as we opted for takeaway. And I can't fault it, service good (staff kindly pointed out and explained deals). Nice, clean area to sit and wait. Food tasty and piping hot. I suppose you have to agree it's expensive compared to a typical kebab shop that offers pizza. But this branch definitely restores a bit of faith in the Pizza Hut brand.

Where is my food? You’ve delivered it to the wrong address!!!

Hi guys - I did not receive 1 pizza and x2 fries as part of the deal . And I was was given the wrong drink the driver went to his bike and just left after I expected him to bring some more of the order - I contacted the restaurant and was notified there is nothing they can do as I ordered via just eat app. The restaurant said they was happy to remake it and to contact just eat to send another driver which at the time I was happy to do at that moment - but unfortunately I could not even find that option the speak to someone that moment via complains and or speak to someone i have and have to wait for a email response over 24 hours - this is beyond me why I have to wait 24 hours as the food is ordered then and there so i was left with 4x items missing from my order.
