they canceled an order from 4 months ago and I haven't received my money every time I call and tell them about the money, they tell me that in a few days I was lied to every time. I will never order again. now they told me that they can't give me money back, but they can give me the order again.

Would give a zero stars if I could very rude man on the phone kept putting the phone down and there was a hair on my Pizza this is shocking and a hour and 20mins delivery? Avoid at all costs also got bad stomach as well

Great guys, great pizza, fast service

Staff taking orders didn't even know the pepperoni has beef. The lady working there was constantly taking orders on the till, cleaning and handling food without washing hand.

Very bad service. We ordered and we were sent the wrong pizza. We were very patient and asked them if we could have the right pizza sent to us. We waited 2 hrs and we had to keep calling them for updates. I would not recommend this branch.

Pizza is in a good location close to work. The dough and the quality of ingredients are great. I highly recommend.

Definitely not open until 3am as stated in the app. Tried to cancel the order as soon as it was placed, was verbally promised a cancellation and refund by the branch, but I was charged anyway. Can't be trusted

Normally like papa John's for their range and their garlic dip but not a good experience here. Delivery was almost 2 hours from order. Tracker said it had arrived, and it took another 20 minutes to get here. Pizza was barely warm on arrival. Will stick with Domino's - smaller range but reliable.

The service is very bad I didnt get the pizza on the right time it tooks more time than expected delivery.

On four separate occasions, the Cambridge New Market Road Papa John's has promised to send someone with missing items from my order, never once had that materialised. The first two times were in January, each time it was a bottle of Pepsi Max, each time they promised on the phone to send someone round with the missing drink, each time no one showed up. When I called to complain they promised to add a free pizza to the next order alongside a free bottle of Pepsi Max, which I then called to add onto the next order. The person on the phone pretended to not understand what I was saying only after I insisted on being provided the replacement items, which when I pointed out he suddenly decided he could understand, pretended to listen and then sent out the order without the replacement items, and missing yet another drink. I then gave up completely with your store, until deciding to give it another go last week, two orders managed to come correctly, until today when they sent a dairy version of ice cream on an entirely vegan order. Besides this putting me off the rest of the food which I ended up having to give a way as a result, I called to ask for a replacement, which the woman on the phone promised to send out on the next delivery. Three hours later when I called back to ask where it was, she suddenly decided it would only be possible to provide the missing item on the next order, which naturally given your companies track record I did not trust. The Cambridge New Market Road store has essentially robbed me of around £25s worth of food, and sent a leaky non-vegan item which ruined a £40 order, which they then had the audacity to refuse to replace. There is an attitude in that store that robbing the customer for every possible penny is more important than honesty, integrity or delivering on what the customer has paid for. I do not say this lightly, I have never in my life been treated as poorly and with as much disregard by any company as I have by the Papa John's on Newmarket Road.

Been here a few times. I am a fan of another big brand.. But this one still wins! Beautiful pizza, have watched them make it too. Very good place, I've never had any issue. For fun I thought I'd just ask for a large pizza and be sure not to specify what they put on it. They made a hell of a guess, I'd have only had chicken on it as well 😂

Although the pizzas are usually good at Papa John's they are hit and miss from this branch. Have arrived burnt and or cold. Delivery is always late. They say they've delivered when they haven't. Tell you to call the store if still not received after 5 mins only to be told to be patient it's on its way. Zero points for customer service, zero points for delivery . Think I need to find a new local pizzeria.

Good pizza and really good service

I ordered a large vegan jackfruit pepperoni pizza from Papa John's on Newmarket Road, and my experience was disappointing. I received my pizza yesterday morning, only to find that it had a mere 10 slices of pepperoni, which seemed inadequate for a large pizza. When I called the shop to address this issue, the person who answered was not aware of the situation, and I had difficulty understanding her response. This lack of communication and resolution left me frustrated. Overall, my experience with Papa John's on Newmarket Road was unsatisfactory due to both the sparse topping on the pizza and the poor customer service. I hope they improve their quality control and staff training in the future.

The lack of professionalism and care is unacceptable. Papa John's Cambridge needs to seriously improve their customer service and delivery reliability. I recently had a disappointing experience with Papa John's on Newmarket Road. Last week, I ordered a pizza in the morning, and not only did my order arrive incomplete, but I was missing the chicken I had specifically requested. Customer service is really bad. I ordered a pizza on this Monday(20th may) and it was not proper, toppings were only in the middle and pizza was sort of triangle🙂. I called them and he was really rude with me. I was a regular customer but I am not gonna buy from there again.

I reviewed this Papa John's the first time I ordered from them, and they were great. Unfortunately, every order since then has gotten worse and worse. Orders are consistently 30-90 minutes late, cold, and wrong. Now they changed their policy (I called the store to confirm) to not allow drivers to enter apartment buildings, so you have to go outside to collect your order. Kind of defeats a big purpose of ordering delivery .... I kept hoping things would get better, but they've gotten worse. Sorry, Papa John's, but I'm done. Response to store asking if I want to be delivery driver: Sorry, but you didn't read my review. This was NOT a positive review. I've been incredibly let down and don't plan to order from your store anymore. The good review was from months ago, but things have changed for the significantly worse.

Would give a lower review but backed on 2 orders we have had over the last 2 months. barely warm food, chicken and bbq pizza missing bbq sauce both times, not reviving the dip in barely any of the orders, never mind paying for the garlic butter dip specifically and just reviving the garlic and herb dip. Have been ordering from this one for 2 years and it’s only with in the last 6 months it get worse every time. I would recommend another pizza chain over this one if you can.

Don’t get pizza from here. Delivery takes about 1 hour and a half if you are lucky. We paid extra to get more pineapple and ham on our pizza but they didn’t bother to even try putting it there.

I ordered at 3:45, for a 5:15 delivery. Did not happen. The tracker is absolutely useless as it stated at 5:20 I was "enjoying my pizza". I called at 5:30, to no avail. Store manager did not have a clue where their driver was, how to fix things. Called again at 5:45, got told to wait. They hung up no me after 5 minutes. Called again, no answer. Called again at 5:55, again, no joy, no clue what was wrong, where driver was. Pizza's arrive finally at 6:05. Cold, flat, dried out. I now remember why I only order from here once a year. It takes a year to forget the last bad experience. Worst service in all of Cambridgeshire. Update 7 May 2024: The response from the owner is an attempt to discredit this review by taking supposed "affirmative" action. Don't be fooled. They say they want to resolve the issue. But in reality, all they want to do is fool people into believing this was a "one-off", and not a chronic issue. I did as advised, giving all details. THEY, did nothing.

Oh why didn't I read the reviews? Because Papa John's is normally a trusted brand. And why do customer service keep replying to say they are sorry but don't do something about the management? Here's my pizza. Burnt. Was supposed to have double extra cheese but they put that on a different pizza and tried to fob me off with the labels being on the wrong boxes. No, I was right, the extra cheese had definitely gone on a different pizza.

They always change the status on the tracker to 'delivered' when it hasn't been. Their delivery stats are probably quite good, the reality is quite bad. When you call up its always, 'it has just been dispatched'.

If only I could choose zero stars. We moved house today and I wish I had looked at the reviews of the local pizza place before ordering from the scam that is Papa Johns. To say it was terrible is an understatement, well I don't know if the pizza is terrible because it never actually turned up. The tracker said it was delivered so I called after another 10 minutes of waiting to be told 10/15 minutes, each time I called they added another 15 minutes which I did 4 times!! No apology nothing I'm fuming the 4th time I spoke to them they just did not care. They are basically a scam stealing your money and delivering nothing but disappointment. I thought my childhood was bad but in fact I think Papa Johns in Cambridge is worse!! Avoid like the plague!!!!

Espensive,delivery late and cool food

Pizza took an hour to deliver yet they said via the online tracker that it had been delivered within 30 minutes. Then, the delivery guy can't even find the right location but when he gets here eventually he says he's been waiting for 10 minutes. Overall just a incompetent team that should not be running a franchise.

I will never order from Papa Johns again, I had to wait over two hours for a pizza that never ended up arriving - I called over 20 times till I finally got a hold of someone - only for them to lie to me about the status of my order - they said it was out for delivery - and it did not arrive - an hour later - I finally get through to them after another 20 calls - they told me that it was still in store - absolute JOKE - do not give them your money - do not waste your time - life is short don’t wait for a cold pizza…

Ordered delivery to our hotel at 5. At 6 it said it was delivered despite us waiting outside for it when it said it was out for delivery. After calling and trying to get answers (and getting hung up on 5 times.) we gave up at 6:20 and went back to our room. Got a call from the driver that he was outside at 6:30. Food was cold and disgusting. Rude staff, poor service. What a bad stain on Cambridge.

Ordered from papa johns. All the food I received was stone cold. I got a burnt garlic bread it was so burnt it made my mum look alive again. It was also crunchy to the touch. The pizza was cold. Nasty. Don’t go here.
