It is always late and we always get cold pizza it is really disgusting and stuff also not responsible at all 👍

Useless for deliveries. Drivers don’t put the food in insulated containers and take too long resulting in cold pizza. They will remake it if you can be bothered to go through the hassle of arguing with them but it’s a stressful experience and just causes an even longer delay. They really don’t care. They don’t care when you email them either, they just tell you to contact the store. It’s a shame as the pizza is decent if you actually manage to get it fresh. Just use Domino’s, they have issues too but the customer service is worlds better and they actually care if you do have to make a complaint.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. I ordered at 6pm. At 6:15, the website told me they had finished my order and it was ready to be delivered. At 6:30, I called and asked the status of my order, and was told they had no drivers other than uber eats, and that their uber driver would not arive until after 7. At 7:15, I recieved my stone cold pizzas. I am curently reheating them in the oven so that I can have a hot dinner more than an hour after order. I will not be ordering here again.

I do not understand how this particular branch is still up and running. Absolutely ridiculous, food hygiene = 0 customer service = non existent just like any order you place! Save your time and money - do not order from here.

Serious Hygiene Violations & Terrible Service at Papa John’s New Market Road I’ve had multiple bad experiences at this location, but today was beyond frustrating. When I arrived to collect a pizza for delivery, they told me it would be ready in 6 minutes. However, after multiple follow-ups and over 25 minutes of waiting, I finally received the order. This kind of delay shows a complete lack of respect for customers and delivery workers who depend on efficiency. But the bigger issue here is the shocking lack of hygiene. The staff do not wear gloves while handling food. I’ve personally seen them touch dirty surfaces (like order screens, counters, and cash registers) and then go straight to making pizzas without washing their hands. This is completely unacceptable and a major health risk. I don’t understand how the council or health authorities have allowed this place to operate under these conditions. The management clearly doesn’t care about basic hygiene, food safety, or customer service. 🚨 I urge Papa John’s corporate and local health inspectors to investigate this location immediately. 🚨 Until then, I strongly discourage anyone from ordering from here.

When you do an online order they lie on the tracking system every single time! They mark the order as delivered and half hour later the pizza is still not here. Today was the last drop, 1 hour and 10 mins alter the order went through, the app was showing for the last 40 mins that the order was out for delivery. When I called them they told me that the pizza hadn't even been made and I would have to wait at least another 20 mins! And id you ask them to cancel the order you won't get a refund instantly, you have to wait 5-7 working days. If they can't complete the orders within reasonable amount of time, they shouldn't be accepting orders or at least, they should be providing REAL tracking and not manipulating it to hit their targets. Won't be ordering again.

I ordered my pizza at 6pm . 8.30pm and still no food . Every time I call the restaurant the food is on its way. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! If you have no drivers don't take delivery orders. It's that simple.

If you order a pizza from here make sure open the box and check it i never ever see pizza in my life. Thats must be joke.

Ordered a pizza at 00:19, it's 01:48 now, nothing arrived yet but the app shows it has been delivered. Rang them to inform them, the lady who picked the call at first didn't understand what I was explaining to her, instead of apologising or anything they are saying the driver is not picking the call, it's obvious that it's late and the staff would be tired but it has nothing to do with me they are there for a reason and they can't do like this to their customers, it's 01:51 and they are ringing me telling that they have given my number to the driver, the driver is not ringing at all, totally worst. Called them to update me and nothing from their side, they are just saying they can cancel it and I can get a refund and nothing about me waiting for hours, And now they will deliver it to me again at 02:30... Worst management ever Would never order again from them.

Long wait time but really good pizza

Ordered pizza took some time but the pizza was great in taste and the toppings were just perfect I previously ate from a different pizza brand but will 100% switch to Papa Johns. The only thing i found lacking was the staff, as there are only 3 people working there and i asked one of the guys working there why they are understaffed and he said that even during busy times this is the case, i think the management should do something about that so that the pizzas are made ASAP!

I was very disappointed with my experience on 03.02.2025, around 19:00-19:30. I went inside to place an order, and the guy preparing the pizzas—a young man with a beard and long hair—came to take it. While waiting for me to speak, he was scratching his nose. It felt completely unhygienic and unprofessional. If this happened right in front of me, I don’t even want to imagine what goes on when no customers are around. Because of this, I decided not to order and will never return. I do not recommend this place!

Great place to have delicious pizza's. The price range is very budget friendly. Owner's are lovely and very welcoming.

Delivered pizza was never received. When calling them, I learned that the pizza was just thrown on the street.

Waited an hour and 20 minutes for delivery, decided to ring up and ask when it was coming they said they didn’t have a driver & would ring me back in 10 mins… didn’t ring back so ended up ringing myself for them to say they had found a driver (miraculously) but they wouldn’t make new pizza and would instead deliver the one that had been sat there for over an hour. Can you not just ring people and ask them to pick it up or ask to cancel if you don’t have a driver??? Will not order from here again…

The food is papa johns, it still tastes like a papa johns. The service is non existent. You order to collect in 20 minutes and turn up for them to make it in front of you and say it’s really busy. It’s so busy the staff have enough time to sit in the back and have an empty oven. The lady of the phone is constantly rude and okay with you repeatedly being unhappy with the service. The last 3 times I’ve been I’ve preordered to then watch them make my food in front of me. Last time I was in there a guy ordered for collection and they gave him the wrong pizza and made him drive to collect the right one after paying extra for delivery. Same papa johns pizza, awful service - they’re also fine with it being awful service which is the worst.

Excellent customer service! Had some misunderstanding regarding an order and the person behind the counter (only one in the shop) made a new pizza without any problem. Shame you can't really sit down and eat (there are some tables but this is a takeway) as the pizzas are really nice when hot.

Much better than all the equivalent chains in the area! D*****'s is way too greasy for me, these guys are much better. Not only the best pizza but the best sauces too. they canceled an order from 4 months ago and I haven't received my money every time I call and tell them about the money, they tell me that in a few days I was lied to every time. I will never order again. now they told me that they can't give me money back, but they can give me the order again.

Staff taking orders didn't even know the pepperoni has beef. The lady working there was constantly taking orders on the till, cleaning and handling food without washing hand.

Very bad service. We ordered and we were sent the wrong pizza. We were very patient and asked them if we could have the right pizza sent to us. We waited 2 hrs and we had to keep calling them for updates. I would not recommend this branch.

Definitely not open until 3am as stated in the app. Tried to cancel the order as soon as it was placed, was verbally promised a cancellation and refund by the branch, but I was charged anyway. Can't be trusted

Normally like papa John's for their range and their garlic dip but not a good experience here. Delivery was almost 2 hours from order. Tracker said it had arrived, and it took another 20 minutes to get here. Pizza was barely warm on arrival. Will stick with Domino's - smaller range but reliable.

The service is very bad I didnt get the pizza on the right time it tooks more time than expected delivery.

On four separate occasions, the Cambridge New Market Road Papa John's has promised to send someone with missing items from my order, never once had that materialised. The first two times were in January, each time it was a bottle of Pepsi Max, each time they promised on the phone to send someone round with the missing drink, each time no one showed up. When I called to complain they promised to add a free pizza to the next order alongside a free bottle of Pepsi Max, which I then called to add onto the next order. The person on the phone pretended to not understand what I was saying only after I insisted on being provided the replacement items, which when I pointed out he suddenly decided he could understand, pretended to listen and then sent out the order without the replacement items, and missing yet another drink. I then gave up completely with your store, until deciding to give it another go last week, two orders managed to come correctly, until today when they sent a dairy version of ice cream on an entirely vegan order. Besides this putting me off the rest of the food which I ended up having to give a way as a result, I called to ask for a replacement, which the woman on the phone promised to send out on the next delivery. Three hours later when I called back to ask where it was, she suddenly decided it would only be possible to provide the missing item on the next order, which naturally given your companies track record I did not trust. The Cambridge New Market Road store has essentially robbed me of around £25s worth of food, and sent a leaky non-vegan item which ruined a £40 order, which they then had the audacity to refuse to replace. There is an attitude in that store that robbing the customer for every possible penny is more important than honesty, integrity or delivering on what the customer has paid for. I do not say this lightly, I have never in my life been treated as poorly and with as much disregard by any company as I have by the Papa John's on Newmarket Road.

Been here a few times. I am a fan of another big brand.. But this one still wins! Beautiful pizza, have watched them make it too. Very good place, I've never had any issue. For fun I thought I'd just ask for a large pizza and be sure not to specify what they put on it. They made a hell of a guess, I'd have only had chicken on it as well 😂

Although the pizzas are usually good at Papa John's they are hit and miss from this branch. Have arrived burnt and or cold. Delivery is always late. They say they've delivered when they haven't. Tell you to call the store if still not received after 5 mins only to be told to be patient it's on its way. Zero points for customer service, zero points for delivery . Think I need to find a new local pizzeria.

I ordered a large vegan jackfruit pepperoni pizza from Papa John's on Newmarket Road, and my experience was disappointing. I received my pizza yesterday morning, only to find that it had a mere 10 slices of pepperoni, which seemed inadequate for a large pizza. When I called the shop to address this issue, the person who answered was not aware of the situation, and I had difficulty understanding her response. This lack of communication and resolution left me frustrated. Overall, my experience with Papa John's on Newmarket Road was unsatisfactory due to both the sparse topping on the pizza and the poor customer service. I hope they improve their quality control and staff training in the future.
