Pizza Express in Cambridge

Pizza Express never fails to deliver! I love a trip here it really made my trip to Cambridge. Our server Crystofer was joyful and friendly and made our experience so enjoyable.

My favourite branch of Pizza Express - the vibes are unmatched!!! Crystofer was our server and he was such a joy, smiles all round and super helpful. Can’t wait to come back for some more yummy food of the highest quality.

Badly prepared pizza, stone cold had to reheat in oven

One of the better pizza express branches, though it's disappointing to have to ask for pizza oils for the table of 8 alongside black pepper for those eating pasta; the latter should have been offered as standard, and the former should have been on the table after the pizzas had arrived

Crystofer was very friendly, helpful and welcoming. He was very attentive and we had a good laugh.

Compare to other times food was just ok. The foors cold do with some extra cleaning. If you download the app you can pay there. Disappointment for the top option 0, 10 or 12.5%. App should give an option to what you want. As didn't I gave 0%. I was planning to give 5% as everything was simply average. Does anyone knows if tips really go to staff?!

The pizza was cold, the garlic bread and pizza were small for what was paid and the red dip from the dough balls had been out in its side and spilt all over the bottom of the bag and the drinks

THE PIZZA WAS COLD AND WAS NOT EVEN CUT! SHOULD’VE BOUGHT A PIZZA FROM THE COOP AND POP IT IN THE OVEN - WOULD BE NICER AND A LOT CHEAPER!!!

Waited 40 minutes for dough balls and another half an hour just for pizza, overall took about 2 hours the wait time was terrible - but the pizza and dough balls were absolutely delicious

Garlic dough balls? What dough balls!! Smaller than Ferrero Rocher, shocking! They used to be more than double the size they are now. Garlic butter dip not even heated so was solid. C'mon man. Sort it out.

My family visited out of the blue on Friday evening during a weekend trip to Cambridge. Antonio went out of his way to not only find us a table when the restaurant was full, but to make us feel more than welcome. The service, food and general experience put a smile on all our faces for the rest of the evening! We now feel we don't visit pizza express enough, and are going to try some of the other locations!

Food is great but the service has definitely gone downhill. Waited a long time to get served and the waiter had a grumpy demeanor. It seems that they are understaffed here

We dined today, and it was an excellent experience. We had chicken pizza which was amazing and the portion was big enough! Thanks to our waiter Crys who made our visit very pleasant! Already looking forward for visiting again.

Very good place for pizza, we visited weekend and we did make a booking, a couple of hours before we had to change the time and it was quick and easy changing it. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Pizza Padana was amazing, definitely recommending it.

Staff and food was great the only pain was getting the pizza express app to work properly. The workers were busy enough and had to waste time trying to sort the app out for people.

Crystofer was really kind and fast with our food

Despite booking a table, we had to wait 15 mins before it was ready. They have crammed in too many tables and therefore seats are virtually in the kitchen, under the stairs or on top of each other. Not as good as the other Pizza Express in Cambridge (which is now sadly closed).

The restaurant managers new deputy is good, not as good as his previous *insert evil laugh*

Ate here on a Sunday, it was fairly quiet. The staff were friendly and very attentive. Food was ordered quickly and did not have to wait very long before it was served. It was a good experience.

We dined as a group of 6. Crys was a very attentive, hard-working waiter and made every effort to ensure that my daughter had a fabulous birthday dinner experience. The food was great, professional staff, nice ambiance, clean premises. A very positive experience.

Our daughter celebrated her birthday here with her friends. They had a wonderful time - especially learning how to make their own pizzas downstairs with chef Ali. We were looked after well by the manager Danny. We sat upstairs overlooking the grounds of Downing College in good weather.

Got a thin vegan pizza. The flavour was good and it would’ve been an excellent pizza but unfortunately it was fairly cold by the time I got it.

We had a lot of fun doing the pizza making. It was for a hen do and it was honestly the perfect activity. Included was a glass of Prosecco on arrival, dough balls and olives to start, pizza making, and then our pizza for lunch (which was delicious) Our hen was vegan so they ensured vegan cheese and toppings was provided - and their dough is 100% vegan along with some of the dips for the dough balls :) The cook was good fun and took lots of photos of us. He was also very patient when one of our party members was late. I also thought the value of the activity was great at approx. £29pp (just remember service charge is additional). To make the experience even better, pizza express allowed some of us to store our heavy bags in their office while we went on a scavenger hunt after! Top service and would highly recommend :)

Unfortunately our experience at Pizza Express in Cambridge today fell short of what we expected. The restaurant was busy and the staff were rushing about. Aside from the wait, the pizzas were lukewarm when they arrived, and one of them wasn’t cooked properly, and wasn’t even slightly crispy. The manager didn’t charge us for that pizza and added an additional discount. Better luck next time!

The first order never arrived even though it was marked as delivered. Then I had to re-order again, this time the order was completely cold like it was sitting for over an hour!!! Extremely disappointed

Lovely lunch with excellent service. We are exhausted from a very long day traveling, and it was so nice to see pleasant smiling faces. Food was very good. Would love to return. Highly recommend.

We arrived in Cambridge last Wednesday and went to pizza express in Cambridge. What can I say the food was freshly made & hot and the desserts were amazing! But the man who served us was outstanding, from Madrid, I think he said he was called Chris. He really went above & beyond, very funny, chatty, friendly and absolutely great with our grandson. If I’m ever in Cambridge again we will definitely go back. A real pleasure to meet you. All the staff cooking waved to us when we left. What a great atmosphere! Not like me but forgot to take photos has I was too busy eating! Obviously a great team who work well together.

Amazing delivery, fast, easy, convenient. However, the food was lukewarm. Although, I do understand I live about 15 minutes away. So understandable. Thanks so much, really needed this with how my night was going!!

A lovely late lunch experience- though we could have done with some air conditioning - it was absolutely roasting in there. The service was great- speedy and friendly. The starters were especially great- chicken goujons and bruschetta. Very centrally located.

Slightly slow to come and take the order, but they were busy, and I hadn't booked, so fair enough. I had free dough balls from a previous review, olives and a Club offer side. Nice snacks stuff at lunchtime, with some refreshing Cornish cider. Am finding their drinks overpriced there these days! It's not difficult to spend more than the minimum £10 to make your Club membership offer work!

This was just an amazing amazing experience! I booked the pizza making class at pizza express for a corporate event and we absolutely enjoyed it! The service was impeccable and so friendly! Youssf was an amazing chef and took care of all our needs, he explained every step to us so lovely and definitely contributed to our experience being so lovely! We will definitely be back because of Youssf’s wonderful service

Took an hour to get my starter, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy at the time. My daughters pizza came before mine, then I had to ask again for it - it was only a Bruchetta !

Had a pizza making party there for my daughter’s 5th birthday with a dozen loud and excitable kids. Chef Ali guided them through the process wonderfully. The whole team were attentive and contributed to a really fun and memorable occasion. Would thoroughly recommend this branch and party package for anyone looking for a fun and wholesome kids birthday idea.

Staff was rude and unhelpful. Did not deliver a complete order. Would not provide any help with dealing with missing item, which was wine 750ml. Gave excuse that didn’t know but the bad it would have been in weighed little

A lovely welcome from Danny. I asked about gluten free and he talked me through all that was on offer. A great selection. My pizza was delicious. As I remember, just like a "normal" one. We had a lovely table for four just for the two of us in a corner. Service was efficient but we were left alone and not rushed despite it being a busy Friday night. Thanks for a great evening.

Showing as delivered but we have not recieved our food! Have been working all day and going to be working all night without eating!!! Absolutely disgusted with the service

Most of the pizzas were very good; the meatball one could have been better. A bit too soggy and not enough meatballs. Krys (or Crys) the Spanish waiter was amazing, really charismatic, made everyone feel at ease, and was great with the kids.

The usual good experience with pizza express

I was traveling for business again and fancied a pizza express meal again. As I was staying in HIE in Cambridge I sort out the town centre Pizza Express I first issue was there’s very little parking in central Cambridge and I paid £7.50 for on the street parking approximately 10 minutes away On arrival i was warmly welcomed and quickly seated I ordered an Aperol Spritz followed by Arrancini and Romano Panama Pizza The Arrancini where almost tasteless My pizza arrived lukewarm and the cheese was coagulated The pizza was still edible but had I not been restricted by my 1 hour parking I would have returned it ? Pizza Express can be amongst the best Pizzas you experience out of Milan but this one is average at best I probably won’t bother returning I one bright spot was my waitress who was polite and charming

Food was stone cold. The Pizza Express label showed it was ready at 19:06, the app said the driver was waiting for it - this status stayed the same until around 19:45. He then turned up with cold food at 19:56.

Very good experience. Had a nice time with family members and friends. Food was fresh and kids loved the food as well.

Visited for my birthday over the Easter weekend and it's always lovely at the Cambridge branch, but this particular visit was nicer as our waiter, Chris, was so good. Very fast and efficient at processing the whole order without any problems. Thank you for a nice birthday lunch pizza express.

It seemed a little fraught when I arrived but staff were friendly and I didn't have to wait long. Once seated, the service was just the right speed - prompt but never pushy. The drink was served almost immediately, then the starter and main at good intervals. Both were absolutely delicious, exactly what I'd been looking forward to. Thanks to the Pizza Express app, I saved on the starter and drink, so value for money was also outstanding. Overall, a really nice meal and little treat to myself, thank you!

Not the best Pizza express I have been too. Ambiance a little lacking and service was rather slow. Food very good though.

We love their pizzas, their employees and their location. But we had to wait an hour for our pizzas to arrive. We were told, by our lovely waitress, that the delay was due to the fact that there were so many deliveries to be provided for. Eventually the bill was reduced by 20% in compensation but we can’t help thinking that customers sitting in the building at a table should take precedence over take-outs.

There was an offer for a pizza + soft drink for 9.95. Ordered a pizza and was charged 13 pounds. After the confusion for the price, I asked to get my soft drink, or a refund. I was told it was too late. The pizza was good, but service was lacking because I felt robbed. If there is an offer, please stick to your policy next time

Two hour wait for our food. The restaurant was prioritising deliveroo orders over people eating in the restaurant. Avoid unless you are happy to wait a very long time for your order to arrive.
