Domino's Pizza in Cambridge

I’ve read a lot of 1 star comments and was a bit put off but I’m down for giving places a chance so you don’t have too, the food was really good and all together took 25 minutes to reach me from when I ordered the food. Ignore the previous 1 star comments. This is a genuine real comment coming from someone who loves food :))) so enjoy

Pizza arrived after an hour and a half , cold and squiged in the corner of the box . Hardly any cheese hardly any toppings , dry and tasteless Sides undercooked Rang to complain to be aggressively shouted at by a rude manager , who hang up on us Wouldn’t recommend

Went there and forgot my bank card but had cash, one of the workers an Indian guy kas was rude and wouldn’t accept my £4 cash. After a while he accepted it and I gave two £2 coins, he looked at them as if they were fake. His staff Indian girl apologised and said it was fine. However he thought I was conning him out of a £3.99 pizza and I said you are obviously not from England and keep the change. These people need to remain in a scam call centre and not come here to work in England. They are all working in fast food shops and do not understand English. I’m so disappointed. Where’s all the English workers gone.

The only good thing was the delivery driver! He was very polite and professional, he even was disgusted by the grease underneath the pizza and it was so soggy. Pizza looked like it came out of a deep fryer!As for 1 of the manager's (I won't put his name)as this is getting reported to head office. Well he really needs to know how to talk to valuable customer's infact any customer's. Will definitely not use this branch whilst he is still the Manager! Totally appalled.

The manager of this establishment gave me and my friend some doughballs on the way home, lovely chap hope he has a nice life and lives long and prospers 👍

Worst service ever. Pizza arrived cold and soggy after 90 minutes of waiting. In particular the delivery driver was badly behaved. He not only refused to follow instructions to find the property because “he had no time to deliver” my order, but also threatened to throw the food in the bin if I didn’t get out the house to go find him instead. Will never order Dominos again, there better places to order Pizza from. Have since found Pizza Company on Mill Road with much better service and pizza.

Absolutely disgusted I ordered chicken kickers and found two long black hairs inside the coating of two separate chicken pieces

Gave me food poisoning! Do NOT visit. Ordered a pizza via the app. Delivery took ages and the driver completely ignored my delivery instructions. He called to say he couldn't find where I was (because he hadn't read the instructions), so I told him to turn around and come back, I would be at the side of the road waving at him. He then proceeded to ride down the road, wave back at me, and then carry on down the road, only to call me again and say that he still couldn't find me. I mean... seriously?! It was laughably poor service. When I finally got my pizza it was cold, incredibly thin considering it was just a standard crust, and the base was rock hard in places. Not very enjoyable at all. Within hours I had sickness and diarrhoea. Absolutely disgraceful experience. Avoid at all costs!

Really bad delivery system. Driver always forget some small item. And you have to make several calls to resolve it.

Use Domino's for our takeaway pizza. As the service is more reliable than other competitors in our area. I do find Domino's expensive. Then again I think most, if not all pizza establishments are. Especially for what you get. Delivery usually takes around an hour, which isn't so bad. As we now know how long to expect. I prefer the cheeseburger pizza, but i always make a slight change because I don't like tomatoes. So I add extra gherkins instead. The pizza crust was abit flat and dry in places. But the actual pizza was good. The second pizza we had a plain margarita for the kids. In my opinion it was overcooked. Sides we had fries and wedges. You never get a decent portion when it comes to sides. I feel its abit of a rip off especially as they class it for 2 people. When you only get a handful of fries. We will continue to order Domino's, but it's not something we would have on a regular basis. The cost is far too expensive especially when you add in delivery charge too. Ps. The delivery drivers always do a good job. Every driver has been polite and friendly. Keep up the good work on that front 👍

2 hours late no reimbursement cold pizza, do not order here, if you have. Refund it.

Chips were undercooked and hard , pizza was dry and cold!! I dont recommend it here as they always take on too many orders for how many drivers they have. Waited over an hour.

Do not order from here, I ordered a delivery which never arrived. Called up twice to ask for a refund, was told I would get one but never received it. Scammers.

DO NOT EAT HERE! Rude membership of staff the delivery drives are rude and claim do have delivered pizzas but he knock on my back gate of my garden! I was expected to hear that whilst sat in the front room of my house! In the winter domino’s no one’s gunna be sat in the garden waiting for pizza at 12 at night!! I waited 3-1/2 hrs for my pizza to turn up it had been re heated by domino’s hills road and sent back out! Been told I’m getting a refund been waiting 2 weeks and put in 2 complaints! Utterly disgusting! I have been in contact constantly via email and still nothing! They told me the reason for my pizza being 3-1/2 hrs late is because they are understaffed and very busy. Not my problem domino’s?!

My recent visit to Domino's left me utterly disappointed with their customer service and the arrogant behavior displayed by a male staff member. The staff member's dismissive attitude and lack of willingness to assist were shocking. It's disheartening to encounter such discourteous behavior in what should be a customer-centric service industry. This experience has deterred me from patronizing this Domino's location again.

Very low standards at this particular franchise. Best avoided.

I wish to get one small pizza and one for free take away. Telling me different price and let me know dosent have that promotion but I make video from front door and inside where promotion been actually. I felling stolen and not recomendat at all.

Do not order from here! My friend and I ordered a pizza and it still hadn’t left the shop after 50 minutes. We called several times to ask what was happening with the pizza only to be told that it was coming and that nothing could be done about it. Thankfully, we had the option to get a refund over the phone. There are plenty of other Domino’s in Cambridge with higher customer ratings. Don’t waste your time with this one. Edit: I found out over recent months that the pizza takes a while to be delivered because it’s all delivered in a single car. The staff try to get as many orders done as possible before sending the Domino’s car out. I would recommend collecting it in store if you’d like your pizza to be given to you on time.

Wouldn't give any stars. Took forever for the delivery to show up. The tracking on the app showed the pizza was delivered when it hasn't been. It's really confusing and frustrating. When you call, no one seems to know what's going on, does not give a straight answer, rather hangs up, though the cold pizza magically turns up very soon after.

Would like to give a shout-out to Pawan who I saw helping some people on a night out. Great guy.

Awful customer service. 50 mins after ordering, called to ask the status of the delivery. He said order hadn’t been procesyet. No explanation. I said I was expecting to Pizza to comasn about an hour and he just said he would cancel order. I called him out on being rude and he said that is just his voice and I was being discriminatory. I asked for his name so that I have some way of verifying that a refund will be made. He said it’s against GDPR. He then gave me his name as Welmer. Not sure if made up. After ordering over 30 pizzas here was not expecting this abysmal service. Hopefully refund will actually be made.

Took 5 hours to come, no refund but thankfully Tubin managed to get me a coupon for 4 cookies. Overall 1 star for dominoes 5 stars for Tubin. Give him a raise please.

Chose ASAP delivery - 45 mins later still no pizza, it apparently stopped baking 30 mins ago so will be cold. Sat outside for 20 minutes waiting for driver, no indication of their arrival. Appalling, terrible experience

Always takes forever for the delivery to show up. The tracking on the app always shows the pizza was delivered when it hasn't been. This is presumably to ensure they hit targets, it's incredibly frustrating. When you eventually call after an hour or so to chase your order, no one seems to know what's going on, though the pizza magically turns up very soon after 🥴 If you're lucky your food might be room temperature with the correct toppings!

Best pizza in town, good service

Only got half my order phoned up and they said it went to someone else and told to wait 40 minutes for it. Only for it to turn up late and cold. Not happy at all

If you’re looking for a great pizza place for takeout, look no further than this spot! The service is top-notch, with friendly and efficient staff who make the ordering process a breeze. Multiple calls to chase a delivery which the website said had occurred, but was still in the shop. Arrived cold 2hrs late. Utterly useless. One star is over-generous.

Orders take over an hour almost every single time, and the pizza usually turns up luke warm to cold. The place is just the epitome of incompetence when it comes to delivering a service.

We don't eat onion & mushroom. Personally mention donot add and request was made to replace with other substitute so we don't have to pay any extra. On counter chap 'Saabas' was arrogant and just wanted to charge for every little item as extra for... Forgot to remove onion&musmroom. When complaint simply look at me as if Its my fault, no apologies or offer the alternate. It was late night 22.30 hrs & we have to return to Addenbrooke hospital in Cambridge. Did not get refund nor apology and have to throw the money & pizza out. Reported to Domino's H. O. they are still looking into but till today not out come. Domino's. Bye bye from me & my family for ever..... Useless,

Open apparently but when you arove there is about five people looking like their there for another two hours with a Manager making his own decisions to close about an hour and a half early. Travelled to eat here. Seemed to be the only place open.

Once again burger pizza was without the burger sauce, no one told me they runned out of it no one said sorry we forgot, nothing. Once for delivery and once on a collection. In store atmosphere seemed good people were getting on with their tasks, I'm guessing it was a busy evening for them. My fault I should've checked my pizza before I walked away from the counter, but who would imagine that I should check if someone prepared my food good right? If I make meals I always double check if I put everything in. Burger pizza essentially with out that burger sauce is not a pizza anymore, that sauce is amazing and gives the pizza its actual name meaning and amazing taste with the combination of its ingredients. Maybe next time they won't forget but they forgot it twice they will do it again I guess.

1st time went for Domino's Pizza in Cambridge and it was so awful. Staff are t wearing any safety/hygiene gears like gloves , head cover with their bare hands and nails they were making the dough and with bare hands sprinkling the meat and so on no hygiene maintained. Not gonna again ever 🥺

This was the worse day ever ordering some delivery. Call the store the guy was rude at the phone and told me i need to wait another 20-30 minutes where i was already hour and half waiting. After 25 minutes waiting i called them again and he didn’t know what to say. I asked for refund and cancellation. He wasn't happy and again was rude. He couldn't even apologise. Waiting for my refund and deleting dominos from my phone.

Really rubbish Dominos. They always say your order is delivered then take hours to actually deliver. Don't answer the phone when you ring. Have tried a couple of times and each time it's the same.

It was okay, however you can't sit on the seats inside? Got told to move. Don't understand why, if u have seats and a table inside let us sit down....

I wish the one star wasn’t there - ordered on the app last night after both having really long busy shifts all day and couldn’t make it to the shops. They called us up saying they couldn’t deliver it and wanted us to collect after we had paid about £25 for one pizza and one side. And the delivery fees. We said we would like it delivered as the place is still open and ‘claims’ to do take away. They ended up hanging up on us and never delivered it. The person refused to give us there name or anything when we asked for it. Apparently they didn’t want to deliver to us as we were on the other side of where there other orders were going to. But then don’t say on your app you can deliver, and don’t take my money from my account if you can’t. Also this isn’t the first time I’ve had problems with this place, they say it’s delivered on the app long before ever arriving (every time). And don’t say you deliver when you don’t.

Yuck. The tomato tastes more like jam than tomato, there are no redeeming qualities about the awful pizzas. They're open late, so I suppose they might be better than some of the alternatives?

After over and hour and a half, I called to see where my pizza was and was informed that the address and phone number that she took were recorded incorrectly. Never got pizza. Terrible.

A standard Domino's outlet, a confusing range of deals available for usually good pizza. After seeing the reviews mentioning delivery, ordering to collect in store still resulted in quite a delay as the staff were too busy with the phone to serve the customers in store, even though we could see our pizzas ready on the rack just behind.

Pizza delivered after more than hour after several phone calls. After my second call, I was told “ ok, I’ll tell the driver to make your delivery first.”. The food was completely cold. Not worth ordering again from this place.

the delivery was late and i was falsely notified that it had been delivered via the app. We called to get an update and were told that it hadn’t been delivered…it took another 30 minutes. The food was stale, cold and unappetising. Called to request a refund and the guy on the phone was argumentative, rude and aggressive. Ordered a pizza at 4:13am baring in mind they close at 5am. Pizza was prepped and cooked super quick according to the app. Went out for delivery and the pizzas never arrived at all despite the app changing to delivered. You either need to hire delivery drivers that can deliver the product paid for, or you need to make sure the pizzas actually leave the restaurant. I just wanted to add, I was calling non-stop for 20 mins before they closed and they had no interest on picking up the phone. Will be getting my money back and not ordering from Domino's again. Well done to the Cambridge Central store for letting down the Domino's brand 👏 Absolutely disgusting service!!

Used to like ordering from this place but it has gone massively downhill recently, now every pizza I order turns up cold and can take over an hour and a half to come. The tracker says it’s been delivered when it hasn’t and it’s impossible to get hold of someone on the phone.

Disappointment every time, if I could put no star then I would. I love dominos but the one in cambridge takes the mik, every time I order, take 1-2 and abit hours to be delivered. Foood is cold, if I wanted a microwave meal I would of gone tesco instead of getting mugged. when You try ring up, there’s no one to help, takes as long as ordering and receiving food from another company. when They actually do answer they don’t seem like they care. Saying we give you free pizza if you call and order next time, then order with it being later with no added free prizza like they say. (it’s there excuse to get out of trouble every time) I’m really disappointed and will remember this until management and driver are replaced or I move town, which ever comes first. Absolute w*nkers

Its one of the worst place to order pizza because many reasons. They dont deliver you at time. They give you false information. They dont know where is their driver and when pizza is delivered, its cold amd tasteless.

Awful branch of Domino’s. I’ve ordered from here twice and both times it’s been terrible service. Waited for an hour with no sign of pizza, even though the online tracker said it had been delivered. When I call the shop, they say they’re just starting to make it, with no explanation or apology. Pizza turns up 1hr 45 minutes later completely cold.

1 star is generous! Ordered a late night pizza just after 1am on Wednesday. Firstly arrived after 3am which is a joke, we had fallen asleep by that time and assumed it just wasn't coming. No answer when ringing the store to enquire where it was as we weren't far from the shop and it wasn't like it was a busy Saturday night. Anyway, it did come, cold and pretty unappetizing. Also - fake pepperoni. Yuck! Unfortunately we have had the bubble guts since and it's now Sunday. Don't order from here unless you want to wait hours for cold food and then have your tummy pay the price the rest of the week. Gross. Avoid!

Terrible customer service. Claimed pizzas were delivered when in fact no pizzas had been delivered. It took two calls to the store and a request to cancel the order for the driver to finally show up.

Wife has been ill all week & wanted something yummy , Couldn't decide what to have as I didn't want to go out . So decided to get a Domino's delivered. Wow , delivered within 30 mins , Large Texan Bbq & Large Chicken Feast pizzas all for £19.99 . Pizzas arrived piping hot by a very pleasant member of staff , Absolutely gorgeous pizza , Plenty of topping . Will definitely order again . Thank you so much.

So me and my partner, also a man, walked into Domino's about 12:40am and was told you were closed (which to be honest it does say you close at 12am on a Sarurday online), so we walked on. We were waiting on a deliveroo round the corner at 1:10am for another takeaway and noticed a woman and her bf walk past with x5 pizza boxes of domino's. They said you served them after 12. So I'm assuming because we didn't have a rack you didn't serve us? Disgusted. Don't know why you didn't serve us then? I understand as it's past 12am but why not serve us, but serve the other couple?

Rude Staff,were not bother to serve me at all,miss leading prices and bogus offers when trying to purchase online does not let you follow through the offers from Nus student discount. Same on there own offers. spent more then an hours to do my order at the end i couldn't finish with my order as my discounts wouldn't work. Completely miss leading, sad that since new management thing's honestly gone down hill. After have to walk in the store to figured this out received 0 help from Manager,answers like nothing i can do. Ordered from here a while ago and they forgot half my order. They left me with my pizza, went back to get my sides so by this time pretty much all was lukewarm. Called about this and the manager said to call off my mobile number and order for a free pizza next time. Proceeded to do that 5 times with no answer on my walk to the store. Got in to be told online orders only. Explained above. The guy at the front took my mobile and said there’s nothing about a free pizza. If you want a lot of pizza, catch some Dominos offer and you will have it but there's no quality at all. My trick for this type of pizza to make it better is to frize it and after 2 or 3 days put it into the oven again. This way it's eatable.

The absolute worst customer experience possible. The manager and his staff are totally rude. I have had numerous bad experiences with these guys, if I didn’t love the pizza I would not go back but I don’t have a choice. They have hung up on me multiple times, after picking up the phone and just say ‘do it onlin’. They don’t follow practises, I was told I can’t pay in the store, when I phoned up for a pizza for collection, they made me pay on the phone, then when I collected my pizza I wanted another dip which they were happy to charge me on the card machine for. Overall, these guys have backwards standards and no customer service. Don’t ever complain about your pizza on the phone, I did and I got it back with a couple of small black wirey hairs on it (not mine). Disgusting management and service.
